Add movie clip in a New Native Window

Dear Friends,
i have created an air application, which open a new window on
click of a button and load the movie clip or a scroll pane with
some items in it. it is working fine but the size is very big than
the actual size of the movie clip. it shows like zoomed picture. it
looks odd and i got sturck up. please help me to show the correct
size of the scroll pane which i added (i used --
nativewindow.stagge.addchild) in native window.

You must set the stage scaleMode property to noScale. (If you
want to use one of the other scale modes -- even though there are
better ways to achieve the same end in AIR, see the " About Stage
properties" section of:

Hello.
It's easy to check if movie clip is on the stage/display list.
But how to detect if movie clip is inside the visible area of browser window?
Any ideas?

In the time line, cutaways and titles are supposed to be linked on the top side of movie clips in the time line window. I don't know what I did, but now they are linked to the bottom side. How do I get them up to the top where they belong?

I'm working on a movie in FCP and using cutaways and titles in many places in the timeline. While working on a movie 2 days ago, and I don't know what I did, all the cutaways and titles are now linked to the movie clips from below rather than above. When I "grab" them and drag them up to the top-side, as soon as I "release", they go back down. Along the menu bar, I've check the "view", "modify", "clips", etc., looking for any thing that might refer to appearance of the time line. What must I do to get the cutaways and titles back on top where they belong? The audio clips remained properly-linked to the time line and play properly. The cutaways and titles can be seen but do not play.

I see your point. It is useful to have an event to let you know when a new window has been created and another when it is shown. You could add that functionality easily by subclassing the NativeWindow class. (In Flex, you could also subclass the Window class.)

I cannot find my movie clips on the new IMovie

Since updating the new IMovie I cannot find the clips to include on a dvd I am making which includes photos from IPhoto and hopefully the clips. Can't find the clips.

I am having this same issue. I have a brand new MacPro & after i just updated to newest iMovie 10.0.4 nothing shows up... In fact, mine has the frame of the app but everything within is white...
If this were the Matrix, i'm bloody glitched!!

New browser window from single movie frame?

Sorry but I am a total newbie>
I have a 4 frame movie imported into one layer and want to
specify a different URL to be opened in a separate window for each
frame. So I have made each frame a keyframe and added from the
behaviors a geturl event for each frame. When this is published it
loops the movie and opens a new browser window for every frame for
every loop, resulting in dozens of browser windows. How can I make
this a mouse clickable event so only when I click on a frame will
the new browser window launch?
I am trying to use onrelease, but I am not sure how this
should work as I can't find a good example.

1) you can't 'click on a frame' in the SWF file when it's
running, you must click on a 'button' or 'movieclip' instance the
you construct ON a particular frame, or all in the same frame with
different buttons on theStage.
2) you need to add a 'stop()' action to your actions layer to
stop the SWF from 'playing' which is why it continues to open more
windows, MovieClip timelines play and loop by default.
3) more information that you will ever need is located in the
Flash Help files(F1) along with many tutorials to learn the basic
concepts, open them and go to 'Getting Started in Flash' to learn
some basics.

Premiere Elements 3.0-Movie clips don't have sound after added to a new player.

I am addding viedo clips to a new project. Some of the clips have sound. Other do not. Some of them the sound comes in part way through. They all work fine outside the program. Help please!

If you have a red line over the timeline after importing a video and before adding any effects... your project is wrong for your video... read above about codecs
Once you know exactly what it is you are editing, report back with that information... and your project setting, and if there is a red line above the video in the timeline, which indicates a mismatch between video and project

Can't get Simple button to Load Movie Clip

Hi I've looked around for the answer to my question on this
forum
but havent found it so here it goes. I am working on this
company's
Flash site that was built by an outside studio. I am using
CS3.

on the left under Bubba and this will take you to the site I
am speaking
of. The site is basically 5 different pages or movie clip.
What I am
trying to do is basically change the "Spring Break" middle
graphic
(which is a Movie Clip) on the HOME page and add a simple
button
that will direct the user to a new page. When I replaced the
graphic
with a new Movie clip there was no problem but I have added
a
button to load a new page (movie clip) and nothing happens.
This
button is in the movie clip of the new graphic which is
called up
when the page loads. If i take this button and just put it
on the
Main Stage in Scene 1 by itself it works and loads the page
(movie clip). It does not however when it is embeded in the
Movie
Clip. The Flash site is basically 5 different Movie Clips
loaded into
an "Empty Clip". This empty clip has a timeline with each of
the
clips labeled and with their respective sized placeholders.
And
when you click on either the links on the Nav bar or the
graphic
for each page it loads that movie clip on the main page. It
seems
like the button only wants to work on the main timeline. I
have
even replaced the code for the "Contact" button with the code
for the new button and it worked (opening new page). Here is
the
code for the new button that does not work:

I know the location and height from the above code are
referring to the placement and sizing of each movie clip
in the "Empty Clip". As i said before this heightAnimation
and the resizing of the new clip works fine when the
button resides in Scene 1 on the Main Timeline but not
within the new movie clip (graphic Ive created.)
I will upload the main chunk of the code that resides
in Scene 1 on the first frame of the "Actions" layer.
If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it very much!

Tooltips not working inside Embedded Movie Clip but works on main stage

Hey,
I have a movie clip that is a navigation window and I am trying to have some tooltip hover over the buttons inside the navigation window.
If I create a button on the main stage it hovers and works fine but if I create the same clip inside the embedded navigation window the tooltip does not show up. I do not have any error messages but it is not there that I can see.
Any ideas?

Size of each movie clip.

I downloaded my still camera, records movies also, in to a computer using iphoto5 and the movie clips over 1 mim did not download. The computer with iphoto6 all of the movie clips downloaded. Is ther a max that a movie clip can be ? I am using a 1 GB camera chip.

I use Image Capture instead...When iPhoto 5 first came out I really think it was programmed to import the smaller 30 sec video clips that cameras were taking at the time. Since then, digital cameras, at least my Canon S2 can take clips as large as your memory card can hold. The first time I tried to download my images and movie clips with my new camera, iPhoto stalled at the movie clips. I wasn't going to take any chances messing up my iPhoto Library so I started using Image Capture to download all my images and Movie clips. I actually like doing it this way a lot better. My movie clips are downloaded into my Movies folder where I then put them in a dated folder.
My photos are downloaded into my Pictures folder, where I then put them in a dated folder. I import the dated folder into iPhoto. I also keep all dated folders from photo downloads in the Pictures folder till I get enough Movie folders and Photo folders to fill a DVD. I burn them and then delete them from the hard drive.
This way I have the photos in iPhoto and I also have just the photos backed up to DVD.
The Movies I keep on the hard drive in their dated folders until I use all the clips for my iMovie projects for the Year. I then make sure they are all burned to DVD, then I delete those from my hard drive.
Using Image Capture to download images and video clips:
Open up Image Capture which is found in the Applications folder.
When it is opened, go to Image Capture/Preferences
Under the General button choose
Camera: When a camera is connected, open Image Capture.
The next time you connect your camera Image Capture will open.
In the window that opens you will see an Options button. Click on that button to set your options.
To find out more about Image Capture (it can do a lot more) Click on Help in the menu bar when Image Capture is open.
iPhoto: How to Change the "Open Automatically" Preference
If you find you can't change any of Image Captures preferences or can't access any drop down menus or they are greyed out, check to make sure Image Capture is loose in the Applications folder and not within a sub folder.

Trouble Copying and pasting a movie clip from another flash scene

Hello,
I have been trying to copy a movie clip from the library of one flash and paste it into the library of another. But when I do this, it always gives me, "One or more library items already exist in the document.
I have tried finding and renaming those items, renaming the existing movie clip, and even changing it into a graphic instead. Still it always replaces these certain movie clips in my main flash file.
I even tried the following:
Creating a new movie clip in the new file. Then going into the movie clip of the other file I wish to copy over, and trying to copy its frames and put it into the new movie clip i created in the main file. Even then, it says I'm replacing library items!
Can someone help me?

The easiest way to be sure you are renaming everything is to probably to copy the movieclip into a new empty file's library and then rename each symbol in there. Unless I am missing something, when you do that, each isolatable symbol inside that movieclip will appear as a separate symbol in the library, making it easier to be sure you have renamed them all.

Resize a movie clip

Hi,
Here is the scenario:
I have a document with the following dimentions: 1000x700 px. In Scene 1 I have a movie clip called mc_master. Inside mc_master I have all the other elements (buttons, movie clips, graphics, etc.)
I need to resize the whole document vertically, so in Scene 1 I resized the document to 1000px x 850px. This created a 150px empty space in the bottom of the document. I wanted to resize mc_master to include this space (basically mc_master should cover the whole document). However, when I selected mc_master and modified its height property all elements inside stretched instead of just including the blank space at the bottom.
To simplify the question: is there a way to enlarge a movie clip without distorting the element inside it? I am assuming that I can create a new movie clip with the new dimentions in Scene 1 and then copy all the elements from mc_master inside the new clip, but I wondered if there is a better method of handling this situation?
