Add multiple textures to a collada object

Hi,
I am trying to add textures and materials to a collada object. My problem is, that the collada-type only has one property for textures as a "string".
I need to know whether it is possible to add multiple texture files to a single collada object and - if it is - how to add them.

Hello Marc,
in the backend the VBI application object has a method GET_INITIAL_ZIP_ARCHIVE. This method returns a Base64 encoded ZIP archive including an XML file and all required resources, e.g. DAE-Files. This ZIP archive needs also to include the Texture with the right path relative to the DAE-Files.
When calling this method you can specify additional resources to be added to the archive via table IT_ADDITIONAL_RESOURCES. This table holds resource entries with a name and the binary content. I checked it and you can just add the path to the name:
- Texture.jpg will be in the root of the ZIP archive
- Image/Texture.jpg will create a sub folder Image and place the texture there

I am trying to add multiple people to a SP column of type Person/Group i.e. people picker. I am able
to add one successfully using their userId, but HAVE no clue how to do that for multiple people. Here is the code for one user:

Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.

As per the project requirement we need to convert custom sqls to reporting sql in webi 3.1 sp5 .
Is it possible to add multiple dimension objects while applying ranking (Webi query panel ).
Or is there any other way to achieve this feature in BO ?

There is a way if you want to apply ranking within a ranking . Below are the steps:
First on the outer side we can use the Rank feature which is available directly
Then use the Rank Function (=rank ()) and reset your dimension accordingly .
This kind of Ranking is possible.

How do I add multiple fills more accordingly?

I sometimes like to add a little more depth into my drawings than having single paths be of a single fill. In the illustration below, for example, I have two balls drawn.
The first was made the way I was taught. A stroke and fill - all consisting of one path. The second, I tried something different to help show more depth, but it consists of three paths. A black stroke with no fill, a dark red fill with no stroke, and a background red fill with no stroke. The first way was easier since I could add a stroke and fill to the same path, but I can't capture more details that way if extra colors touch the stroke. And if I were add paths on top of an object, then I would have to be too percise so they don't overlap the stroke. This second way, I at least have a stroke to draw behind.
Is this making sense to people? I want check here to see if there's an easier way to do this. Making an object that only consists of an outline and not a fills doesn't seem right if it is meant to include a fill. Any help?

To have multiple fills that way you need multiple paths. You may:
1) Create the basic (circular) path with no stroke and Ctrl/Cmd+C+F to make a copy in front;
2) Create the partially overlapping path with no stroke;
3) Select the copy path from 1) and the path from 2) and Pathfinder>Intersect (depending on version you may need to hold Alt/Option) to create the top path;
4) Group 1) and 3) and in the Appearance palette tick to select Group, then in the flyout tick Make New Stroke and drag it down below Contents and apply twice the Stroke Weight you want visible.
If you have corresponding multiple sets in the same Layer, you may apply the new stroke to the layer.

Is there a way to add multiple outlines on the same layer?

Hi there! I'm trying to add an outline to text or objects through the style fx, then I want to add more outlines. It would be nice if you could just add a new stroke like in illustrator. I don't want copy the layer and just do a thicker outline behind it, the point is to have it all on the same layer .. just wondering if thats possible. Thanks!

You have been given two approaches which may meet your needs. There is another way that offers independent control of the styles, but you do use multiple layers.
Assume you have a path that defines your object and lets say you want to apply three different styles and have independent and ongoing control over each. Create a new blank layer for each style. On each of those layers apply a brush stroke to the path, say a 1 pixel stroke whose color is also the background color as an example. Now on each of those layers apply your chosen layer styles. That is what I have done in this example:

From my testing it appears that you need to have one text file per text block record in Data Manager.
I wrote VBA macro to so that I could input my text blocks into an Excel spreadsheet and then the macro will take the contents of each cell in a highlighted column and create one text file per cell.
Then using Data manager, I can select all of the text files at once and it will import them, creating one record per text file.

Are you trying to add more users or groups through Group Policy Management Security Filtering tab?
Try right clicking on the policy and then edit
Then in Editor Right click on the name of the policy and Properties
Security tab and add user or group from this tab. Just make sure if you are adding user or groups "Select this object type" has
the correct option also "From this Location" is set to your entire directory not the local server.
Update us with the above.

Applying a texture to an OrientedShape3D object?

i am having problems applying a texture to an OrientedShape3D object. i am following the "recipe" and related examples in the j3d tutorial's chapter 7 on textures. my image is a 32x32 gif file that i want to texture onto an OrientedShape3D object that has 4 vertices:
the "face" vertices for the OrientedShape3D object are:
0.0f, 2.0f, 0.0f,
0.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f,
2.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f,
2.0f, 2.0f, 0.0f
the color for the "face" is red:
1.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f,
1.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f,
1.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f,
1.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f,
the texture vertices are:
0.0f, 1,0f,
0.0f, 0.0f,
1.0f, 0.0f,
1.0f, 1.0f
as i wrote my code follows the tutorial's recipe whereby i a create an OrientedShape3D, then the textured appearance, and then i apply that appearance to the OrientedShape3D object.
when the shape is rendered i do not see the image. rather i see a color from the image but that color occupies the entire face. if i use the texture loader object to, say, scale the image then i see a rendering behavior that looks like the image is folded on itself similar to the problems the tutorial says will happen if the texture vertices are not correct.
when i do not apply my textured appearance to the OrientedShape3D object the behavior is ok - the face of the shape is always oriented towards my eye, and remains red, as i rotate, scale, and translate the object..

When you import a 3D object into Photoshop it has to be UV mapped meaning that there will be a JPEG referenced by the material file associated with the object. When you load the object, it is the JPEG which is actually a Texture layer. You can't access it with the 3D tools active but either before or after you apply the 3D adjustments you can double click on the specific texture layer which opens in a new window and then use any of the normal 2D painting/editing tools. When you save the changes to that file it will be applied to the model.
Try opening a couple of the sample 3D models in the Goodies folder on the Photoshop install disk. Most do have JPEGs associated with them which means you will have an editable texture layer but one (at least) called Simple Robot I think has only a .mtl file which means you will see color and placement, perhaps a bump map, but there is no UV texture, just a procedural made inside the 3D app. Those aren't editable in Photoshop nor can you add a texture layer. A 3D model either has one which you can edit or it doesn't.

Add multiple gradients.

I've found this tutorial on adding multiple gradients to form a glassy text http://wegraphics.net/blog/tutorials/illustrator/how-to-create-a-glassy-text-effect-in-ill ustrator/ and I never knew you could create multiple gradients on one object.
I can only manage to apply one gradient. On the tutorial it sounds easy to just draw a gradient, then draw another. However it is not that simple; I draw a gradient, then I attempt to draw the second, and it just moves the first gradient.
How does one draw multiple gradients on the same object?

I see what you're saying I think. Add a new fill, turn the opacity down.
To others who this may help in future, I can't seem to rotate the angle of the gradient by using the gradient drawing tool. But as Kurt says go from the appearance panel and use the angle of the gradient there.

I am trying to add child component into RichPanelStretchLayout object at runtime, but getFacetCount() and getFacet() method of RichPanelStretchLayout is returning 0 and null respectively.
can you please suggest me how can i add child component into RichPanelStretchLayout object?, i have directly added component using getChildered.add() method. but it wont work as i must need one facet object ( either START,BOTTOM or CENTER).

Applying multiple transformations to an object and remembering each one is confusing. Which one is rotate, horizontal move etc. So you have to hide/unhide every single one of them, because they all say TRANSFORM.
Give us the ability to add notes or some kind of names to the live effects.

You could certainly do that and there's nothing wrong with that. You could have the question as element [0] and the array of potential answers as element [1]. I would typically use a database for this stuff but if the answers and questions don't change much, your method is fine, imho. You might also, however, consider storing a right/wrong bit with each answer so that the second element is an array of arrays in which the second level array is the distractor and its 'correctness.' That way, the answer will travel with the distractors. So, in short, nothing wrong with your method in my opinion.

It's been a while but I think you hold SHIFT while typing a page break (RETURN) to make a new line without shifting to another cell.
However, as Excel isn't an Apple product, I am sure you will get a faster and more current answer by using Microsoft's Office:Mac forums here:
