Add new SAP Module

Hi All,
Currently my Company have 3 module implemented in our production system MM, FI, HR and plan to implement new module PM. I'd like to know what technical things should I prepared for that plan. Such how much space should i reserve or something else.
Any Input will be appreciated.

If it is from pricing procedure. you need to register an object in VOFM and assign the same to condition type.

Add new manager field in SAP Query

I need to find manager for the employee. Is RH_GET_LEADING_POSITION right function module?
After finding the manager I need to add new field 'Manger' in the existing SAP Query. Please can anyone help me inserting additional code into the SAP Query.

Thanks for the reply. But my question is there is no direct field called manager I need to write a piece of code to find the manager and insert in the existing sap query. I want to know is there any function module to find the manger where import parameters are pernr and export parameter I want manager objid or pernr.

Option to mass migrate function modules in a function group to new SAP box

Hi All,
We have a requirement wherein we have to move all the existing function modules to a new SAP box.
I heard that there is an option to download all function modules in a function group to text files and upload them to a new system at once without much progamming.
Please let me know if anyone knows how to do this.

why don't you just use CTS?
Create a transport that contains the objects you want to move. Then. assuming the target system is not in the same CTS landscape, move the files to the transport directory of the target system. Then in STSM goto the Import Queue and select Extras->Other Requests-Add to add your transport to the queue. Then import it as normal.

If that field which you wants to add is available in one of the structures like EKKO,EKPO then you can add that field just beside the other fields
If that field is not there in the any of the structures then you can define a variable using define command
/: DEFINE &VAR&
/ &VAR& = <some value>
or you can write subroutines to fetch the data from outside tables and can use those fields data in the script

Add new System to SAP connection adapter - HAL

Hi. I would like to add a new System ID to Application Link's SAP connection adapter (HAL).
I mean: we have been changing SAP environment (i.e System ID) and I would like to add a new System ID in the list; however, as I create a new SAP connection, only a list of old System ID is displayed.
Even if I create and test correctly the new connection, the new System ID is still not displayed. Any advice?

PS, to SAP developers: there are multiple companies frowning upon the decision to display the grayed-out buttons in saplgpad. I would hate to roll-out 720 with a in-house launcher for saplgpad that hides the buttons using some dirty hack.

You can find enhancement in me28 by following steps and then apply your logic in include of this enhancement.
cmod>Give a project name>in enhancement column give the package name ME >f4>in package write ME-->ENTER>It will show you all enhancements available in me28> find which ever suits your requirement>save > click on components> from there you can make changes in include program.to add that particular field.

Try to find any BADI for the same
Follow the below steps to find out what all BADI's are called when you press any button in any transaction.
1) Goto se24 (Display class cl_exithandler)
2) Double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.
3) Put a break point at Line no.25 (CASE sy-subrc).
Now
4) Execute SAP standard transaction
5) Press the required button for which you need to write an exit logic, the execution will stop at the break point.
6) Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.
7) This way you will find all the BADIs called on click of any button in any transaction.
OR
Also one more option is to copy ME28 and, make modifications to the copied program.

What are the impacts of new gl migration on other sap modules.

In need to move to IFRS reporting, my client is planing to migrate from classic gl to new gl (not yet decided which scenario, but most probably we will go with scenario 5).
We are in stage where we are assessing new gl functionality, impact of new gl migration on other SAP module and what precautions we should carry while drafting project activities for migration plan.
I am specially interested to know how are other modules impacted by New GL? Ex. SD, MM, HR, Treasury, CRM ?

some data I put together, best bet is to get some updated files from forge,
zenimaging.info or edu-magic.net
or upgrading to the latest version of zdm / zcm.
you need ofcourse to make sure you use the right kernel version for IR7

../buildImages.s
This will add-in the BroadCom drivers for the GX280 computer.
***NOTE*** I had to run the GX280 SATA drive in Compatability mode in the
BIOS, otherwise the drive did not show under the img dump ******
I should also note here that the hdparm command does nto work with this.
Imaging my Windows XP image took about 6 minutes though.
I also did the 2.4.22 kernel because there is a compiled BroadCom driver
on the Forge site.
And from Roy Erez...
So... SATA isn't supported by this trick on the Gx280 machines.
The only way I could get SATA to work in "normal" (not "compatibility")
mode in these machines was using the 2.4.28 kernel.
As of kernel 2.4.27 SATA is merged into the kernel source tree so you
don't need Alan Cox's patch to enable SATA.
This only patches I applied to my kernel were the zen patch and a
broadcom 57xx patch (had to change the version string in this one).
Although ICH6 isn't yet fully supported it does work in a "Looks like
ICH5" mode and I'm able to successfully take and put an image in "normal
" sata mode.
As to USB keyboard support - after trying several combinations I think
it's better to compile HID support using HIDBP rather than the full HID
layer - the only HID feature needed in the imaging environment is
keyboard support and HIDBP handles it well enough.

Those are none other than Software Components that are not existing in the list and you are creating it new.
For example if you are selecting the Product that is existing say "SAP ECC". Now when you go for creating Software Component versions you can select from the list or you can creat your own. When you are creating of your own Software Component it is called Non-SAP Sotware Unit.

Is there any BAPI for new appraisal module in SAP 4.7 ?

In our company, we are using our own web-ESS Appraisal (employee self service on intranet), developed using Java. So we are using available standard BAPIs to exchange data between web-ESS and SAP.
But I notice for the new APPRAISAL module in SAP 4.7, we cant use the standard old BAPIs anymore. SAP gives hundreds of new function modules related with the appraisal module, but none of them is remote-enabled module or BAPI. So how are we supposed to exchange data using our web-ESS? I dont want to copy all the standard functions just to make it remote-enabled so I can use as a customized BAPI! Any idea?

 There is no function module that can get you the Appraisal Result from OSA in one go.. You have to create a custom function that is a combination of delivered modules.. here os one that I created.. you pass the pernr & get back the rating..this is only for Performance Appraisals..
