Add reminders to subscription calendar

Is it possible to add reminders en-masse by editing the ics. What program can I use to edit the ics file? The ics file is created by a publisher which is not me.

theCalendar.add(Calendar.MINUTE, 10);Treating HHmmss as an int is not the way to compare dates.
Use one of the Date's or Calendar's before() or after() methods.

  • Automatically add reminders for specific calendars

    Hey everybody,
so I have different calendars on my iCloud account. Some for work stuff, others for personal stuff. And one of the is for critical appointments which I musn't forget about and would like to be reminded. Unfortunately it seems that in iCal itself there isn't a feature to add reminders 30 or 60 minutes in advance for only specific calendars but only accounts. But I don't wanna be reminded 60 minutes in advance that I'll be going to a party in 60 minutes. I usually remember
Is there a way to do this with a script that runs in the background and just adds a reminder to all events in the "Appointments" calendar that have none already? Or is there another workaround to do this? Because as I know myself I'll probably forget to add reminders to half of the appointments :/
    Thanks in advance

Try WorkTime. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/worktime-work-schedule-shift/id594764457?mt=8 You'll need to get the premium paid version for the alarms/reminders.

  • How do I add a webcal subscription to my iCloud calendar?

    Hello.
I switched to Lion and iCloud yesterday. I was able to move my calendar from MobileMe to iCloud and it's also in my iCal just fine.
I also have a webcal subscription from a scheduling service that manages my client appointments (webcal://www.acuityscheduling.com/..... --not going to post the actual address here). I am able to subscribe in iCal just fine, but I'd also like to have those appointments in my iCloud calendar at icloud.com, so I can access it when I'm not at my main computer.
How do I add that webcal subscription to my iCloud calendar?
    Thank you!

    Thanks Tbird360!!!
Great!  it works as stated. I even tried subscriping it from iphone Calendar subscription and it worked. Now I could access my calendar on my iphone directly.
    steps here
MS Outlook -> Calendar -> Publish Online -> updates
choose WebDav service providers that provide the service.  I chose box.com.
    Box.com would give webdav url
use that on your iphone settings->mail, calendar-> add Calendar subscription -> https://url ends with .ical  (replace webcal:// with https://)
enter userid and pwd of box.com
    Thats it. it works great..
It would hv been better if icloud has webdav publishing option though.
    Thanks

Sorry this isn't true. When you are in iCal on your machine go to File - New Calendar Subscription then paste in your link (webcal://www.acuityscheduling.com/.....) then edit your link and remove webcal and replace with https (https://www.acuityscheduling.com/.....) your link has to be ics compliant and make sure you change the location to iCloud then it should work.

  • Unable to add subscription calendars in iCal

    Hello all,
I have been running into some iCal issues of late. I re-installed the application from Snow Leopard install DVD and after having some issues yesterday, deleted the cache and preference files. My issues were resolved.
However, I am still unable to add subscription calendars.
When attempting to add a calendar, I enter the webcal address (confirmed to be correct) and a dialog box appears "downloading". This process is taking longer than in the past. At the end of the process, the subscription calendar does NOT appear in my list of calendars. In other words, it is unsuccessful.
Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
    Thanks,
    Kieran

    Greetings,
Try adding a standard subscription like US Holidays, does the same issue occur? :webcal://ical.mac.com/ical/US32Holidays.ics
    1. Remove the contents of the /Macintosh HD/Library/Caches/ directory (drag everything inside to the trash).
    2. Launch iCal and test
    3. If the issue persists follow this article to reset your sync history: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627
    4. If the issue persists test in a new user and let us know if that works:http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8235.html
    Cheers.

  • Can you edit or add a custom event to contacts to show in Birthday Subscription calendar

I want to modfy Birthday subscription calendar to include custom events that appear in my Contacts. Is there a way to do this?
Or how can I create a new subscription calendar to be published in my iCloud acct pulling the custom events from Contacts?

You have some contacts with more than one birthday?
To add a custom label for a date, select Edit for an existing contact. Select Add Field. Select Date. Scroll up with the Info window above the date selection and select Other for the new date selection. Select Add Custom Label and then select this label for the new date field for the contact.
As far as linking dates with multiple contacts, the answer is no to that.

  • I cannot add reminders to more than two calendars

Since switching to iCluod i found a strange thing. Im not able to add reminders to calendars that are not defined as lists in the Reminders-app. It seems that apple has cut-off the reminders from the calenders. Can anyone confirm this observation - and perhaps show me a workaround for i have a published calender that needs now and then a task.
    Regards,
    A. Wolff

I'm sure you've found the solution to this (or workaround) but I thought I'd post a link to a discussion that talks about this since it took me a long time to "figure this out".

As for as I can tell is that you have Calendars and you have Categories for Reminders and that they are seperate. The only way I've found to create new Categories for the Reminders is to use an IOS device to do so.
    Hope this helps,

  • I have updated my 4s to iOS 7 and now cannot add events to my calendar or create reminders.  How do I fix this?

I have updated my 4s to iOS 7 and now cannot add events to my calendar or my reminders.  Anyone else having this issue and know how to fix it?

I have a similar problem in Reminders....there is no + button to add events.  In Calendars it is there.

  • Suddenly I can no longer add events to my calendar osuddr add reminders. The   symbol is brayed out and won't allow me to add anything???

Suddenly I can no longer add events to my calendar or new reminders. The + is grayed out and won't allow any new additions???

I had the the same problem albeit with an m4v (same hardware and OS rev too!, iTunes 10.6.3). I was able to add the movie to a new library per Limnos' suggestion here, indicating that iTunes wasn't totally busted. However, I was also able to see the movie in the Recently Added smart playlist (another hat tip to Limnos), although it still did not appear in the Movies section of my iTunes library. (It was also in the iTunes Library.xml file.)
So I called AppleCare, and they directed me to move the file from the external drive where it was living, into the /Users/<Your Name Here>/Movies directory, and to "Add to Library" (Command-O) from that location. Sure enough (and much to my surprise), it showed up immediately (duplicated, actually) in the Movies section of my iTunes library. Subsequent additions to my Library have not misbehaved similiarly.

  • My Outlook/iCloud calendar invites to others appear to work on my end and sync with my PC and mobile, but when other people "accept" the invite, it will not populate/add in to their calendar. How can i fix this without turning off iCloud?

My Outlook/iCloud calendar invites to others appear to work on my end and sync with my PC and mobile, but when other people "accept" the invite, it will not populate/add in to their calendar. How can I fix this without turning off iCloud?
I am at a new office that uses Outlook (not Outlook Exchange) which does not sync with my mobile... I just got iCloud set up on my PC to sync my contacts, calendar, reminders, etc... The sync worked (not without flaws, but the other issues seem solvable... I think), so that i can now see all my appointments on both my phone and on my PC. The problem I am having is that iCloud moved all of my calendar items from Outlook into iCloud calendar and now when I send out meeting/calendar invites the recipients may accept them, but the meeting does not get added to their calendar. This is a huge problem and may mean that i need to turn off iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
    Thanks!

I am replying to my own post here as I seem to have fixed the problem.
I do have some calendars that are shared. Some of those are shared with users who have time zone support turned on. So i activated time zone support on my iphone, then deleted my icloud subscription. I then signed in to icloud again and voila... problem solved.
It is a weird one as the other calendar views were always fine and when you opened an event that appeared in the wrong day (on list view), the correct date of the event was shown in the information...
one more bug in a complicated system I guess

  • Default reminders for exchange calendar

    Hi,
I am using exchange to sync my google (google apps) calendar. In google calendar I have set default reminder time (10 minutes). On my iPhone, these default reminders are not shown.
I also tried to use default reminder time for calendar in iPhone (settings -> mail, contacts, calendar ->Default alert times) but these are not added to calendar synced using exchange.
To be sure I added my google account twice (as an exchange account and as a regular google account).
For regular caldav account default reminders works fine. These set in google calendar are always added + iphon adds reminders from settings.
For exchange I can see only alerts that were added manually, when new event was created, they are synced between iPhone and gcal - but default reminders doesn't work at all.

    Hi ,
I don't think there is configuration setting.
You may try with a user exit . Consult your ABAP team for the requirement.

  • Can't get SMS Reminders from Google Calendar on Samsung Keyboard

Hi, I would love to get SMS reminders from Google Calendar on my Samsung Keyboard basic phone I just bought but they are not coming through for some reason. I set up the phone with Google Calendar and they sent a text message verification text to my phone which I got. I entered verification number into Google and saved it. Google said I set up my phone successfully. But I receive no reminders. I checked my spam filters with MyVerizon but that looks good.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you for your time,
    Jonathan

Let me add that I can use the webcal url published by MobileMe Calendar to
allow Evolution to 'see' and display my MobileMe calendar on my Fedora boxes.
So why is Google Calendar being so picky?

  • Default reminders for subscribed calendars

i apologize if this has already been asked - but is there a way to specify a default reminder for events listed on a calendar you subscribe to? for instance, can i state i want a 2 hour reminder before any event on subscribed calendar A begins? i don't think this is possible but i wanted to check to see if anyone came up with a work-around (perhaps in automator or something?)
    thanks

    Hi,
Generally, the user cannot get meeting reminders from shared calendar. The reminder can only work for the default calendar. If you receive the reminder, please confirm the receiver is the inviter or one of the attendee.
If it is from the shared calendar, we can start Outlook in safe mode to check whether the issue persists. it maybe caused by any third-party add-ins.

  • I create a birthday calendar in iCal and then click on it in iphoto at the begining of the calendar project each year.  Some how the birthday did not populate the photo calendar.  Is there a way to add the birthday iCal calendar into the calendar project?

I created a birthday calendar to use in iphoto for calendar.  When a new calendar project is started each year, I click on it in.  Some how the birthday did not populate the photo calendar this year.  The photo calendar is almost complete.  Is there a way to add the birthday iCal calendar into the calendar project? I would prefer not to start over.

    Hi,
If you first select the calendar on the left, so that its background is highlighted blue/grey, when you make a new events they should be added to that calendar.
    Best wishes
