Hi Friends,
In outbound IDOC . Enter the invoice number (VBRP- VBELN) in table VBRP and get the delivery number (VBRP-VGBEL).
2. Enter the delivery number (VEPO-VBELN) and get the number of handling units for each delivery line item and add the number of handling units for each delivery line item.

hello all,
I have Handling unit and Material in my program as an input, using these two fields i have to get corresponding storage unit and ware house number, to pick up transfer order.
Can anybody explain me who can we get Storage Unit and Warehouse Number from Handling Unit.
I know we can pull transfer order from table LTAK & LTAP using warehouse number.
But i dont understand how to get warehouse number from handling unit.
There is table LSUTO which has warehouse and Handling unit relation, but in our system there is not data maintained in that table. So, i was just wondering how can i get warehouse number from the given handling unit number.
please guide me

Check out the handling unit item table VEPO. You got storage location(LGORT) in it.

A handling unit is a physical unit that consists of the packaging materials (load carrier / packaging material) and the goods contained therein. A handling unit is always a combination of materials and packaging materials. All the information contained in the material items, such as batches and serial numbers, is always available by way of the handling units.
Packaging materials are intended to enclose or hold together the materials that are to be packed. In other words, the material that is to be packed can be packed into or onto the packaging material. The packaging material can be a load carrier. The most important packaging materials include crates, boxes, containers, wire baskets, and pallets.

Hi all,
I found the solution to fetch shipment number based on handling unit.
In table level, Go to SE11 transaction.
Enter table name : VEKP.
Pass VENUM(handling unit number).
VPOBJ = 04
and Execute.
See the field value VPOBJKEY.
This value is shipment number.
If u got to table VTTK and pass this shipment number obtained previously. it will have entry with this shipment number.

Easy text Report is for saving to a file. Do you mean you just want to add the totals of two arrays and write that? In that case I would just append the totals before writing to file.

Handling unit - Shipment

I would like to get the number of handling units in a shipment. I dont find VTTK or VEKP fulfils this requirement.

Hi Seema,
You can get the handling unit number from VBFA table.
Hit the VBFA table by giving VBELV as delivery number and VBTYP_N as 'X' ( which is nothing but handling unit).
In field VBELN you will get the handling unit.
You can use this handling unit number an hit VEKP Table to get more details on handling unit.

Handling Unit Number against each PO Number/Sales Order

Dear All,
I have a query regarding identification of Handling Unit/s Number/s (Handling Unit Management) against each PO Number in Sales Order. E.g. I created 2 Sales Order with 5 and 7 line items respectively. Now I combine them into one Delivery which becomes as 12 Line items. Now against each PO Number/Sales Order line items I have done multilevel packing, similarly I have done this for 2nd PO Number/Sales Order line items while creating Outbound Delivery.
As per my client's requirement, he wants to print the Handling Unit Number as per Sales Order PO Number. I have checked VEKP and VEPO where I am not able to segregate the Handling Unit Number against each Sales Order/PO Number. Please find below Screen Shot.
Please help me out.

I'm not sure to understand completely your requirement.
Anyway in VBFA you should have the complete flow of the documents:
enter in VBFA with
"Follow-on doc." (VBELN) = your HU number
"Subs.doc.categ." (VBTYP_N) = 'X - Handling unit
"Prec.doc.categ." (VBTYP_V) = 'J - Delivery"
In this way for each Handling Unit you'll get the delivery number and item, and from that you can branch to the corresponding Sales Order item number and get the customer's PO number.
On top of that, in table VEPO you have the reference to Delivery number and item. The only thing you need is one more step using VBFA again, to get from the delivery and item numer, the corresponding Sales Order number and item.

Unable to delete the Handling Unit

I wanted to delete the delivery document, when i unpack and delete the Handling unit i am getting the following error "Handling Unit 2000679441 contains item that cannot be deleted" in the Log" Handling Unit 2000679441 is packed - only entire HUs can be reassigned"

Try using packing station functionality tcode HUPAST.
Select delivery from the dropdown and give delivery number in the next screen.
System will populate the HU content of the delivery.
Give negative quantity of material and material number and save the transaction.

If I understand the question correctly, you should be able to just touch the blue arrow icon to the right of the entry on the screen. That should take you to an "Info" screen. There you can choose to call the number, text the number, create a new contact, add the number to an existing contact, or share the contact.

To Update the status of a handling unit in VEKP table

My smartform(picking slip ) is triggering from vl02n transaction,my requirment is
to change the status of handling unit to 60 (Delete) ,after my form printed,
I checked with FM hu_update_status but it is not changing the VEKP-status field for that particular hanling unit .

Generally Smartform is used to print the Output of Packing Slip,?
You mean after packing is over you have to Modify the handling Unit status?
then you have to find the status of packing and based on that field you have to modify the JU status.

Goods Issuing Many Materials From a Single Handling Unit

Hi Experts!
I have searched threads and asked various contacts how to do this but can't get anything beyond the basics of handling units that we have already implemented.
I am using handling units to pack outbound deliveries and have managed to get to the point where the packaging material is goods issued, however when the product is packed we use (for example)
- a box
- a label
- some sealing tape
- some ink etc
and I want to be able to goods issue all the items involved not just a single packing unit - does anyone know how to do this?
(I have looked at multi level packing e.g. put a product in a box and 10 boxes onto a pallet, but this would only goods issue the box and the pallet)

Hi,
I am using packing instructions set up in POP1 and assigned to a customer via POF1 to pack a number of products into a box. The box (packing material) is inventory managed so when the delivery is created and a plant assigned to the handling units it creates an extra line on the delivery that can be post goods issued. We have auot packing set up on the delivery type I am using. This works fine.
My question is that the above set up only post goods issues one of the items used in packing my finished products (in this case a cardboard box), I am trying to find a way of goods issuing other packing materials at the same time such as packing placed with the product inside the box, the tape used to seal the box and the label that we will put on the side of the box.
I think that it would be possible to use a process order and complete the activity in PP and use a Bill Of Materials, however I want to see if I can take advantage of the automatic packing functions.

ALV Report for Handling Units

Hi,
In SAP, the standard report exists for the selection of handling units (HUMO). The requirement is that in addition to standard output the report should also display for KMAT materials the serial number associated with the respective HU, catalog number and special stock category.
-Depending upon the selection criterion, the HU assigned with the material will be identified for the materials.
-The HU contains the catalog number in the contents field of status tab and will be displayed in output.
-The serial number assigned with the HU will be picked up from the HU and will be displyed in the output.
1. The program will first find out the HUs for the material. From the HU, catalog number and serial number will be traced.
2.The output should be in ALV format.
3.The output will display HU number, KMAT number, catalog number, serial number, quantity, special stock indicator, plant, Storage location, Warehouse number, and bin-location.
Can Any body tell me what are the table involved in this ALV report to display HU number, KMAT number, Special Stock Indicator, Warehoure Number and Bin Location.

For Handling unit tables are VEKP,VEPO also use object LE_HU in transaction SARA .
For Warehouse number check out table t300,t320 or view v_T320
For Bin location table T303,T303T or view V_T303
For special stock determination T434P
FOR KMAT - table MAST ,STKO ,STPO.
