Can anybody guide me adding two numeric columns using any operators ( not transformation operator), and sending the result to one column in OWB?

The Expression operator can handle this for you. Just use the 2 numeric fields as input into the operator and define a single output attribute as the sum of the 2 input attributes.
This is explained on page 320-321 (8-14 & 8-15) of the OWB 9i User's Guide

Hi,
You can use concat function or also '||' to combine two columns.
1. with concat-
concat("D4 Product"."P01 Product","D4 Product"."P02 Product Type")
2. With '||' operator
"D4 Product"."P01 Product" || '-'||"D4 Product"."P02 Product Type"
(Remove '-' if not required)

How to add two columns in criteria(OBIEE 11g)

Hi,
I am trying to add two columns in a criteria in obiee
*"Fact - OLB Processed Invoices"."Invoice Amount - Functional Currency"__"Fact - OLB Processed Invoices"."AR Tax Amount - Invoice Currency"
but the problem is :-
The first column have 500000000 and the second column contains NULL values the actual table. I think this might be the problem when I am trying to add them it is giving no output.
just a blank box.
Can any one tell me how can we add columns in this condition.

Assume you already have two columns SalesAmt1 and SalesAmt2, and you want to derive 3rd column say SalesAmt3 which would be the sum of SalesAmt1 and SalesAmt2.
For this, as I mentioned above pull SalesAmt1 and SalesAmt2 columns in Report. Now pull another column (say SalesAmt1) and open the fx. Clear the contents of fx. Now locate the columns button in the bottom of the fx. From Here, first select SalesAmt1 and + sign and the select SalesAmt2.
Now in this new column, the fx should look like SalesAmt1 + SalesAmt2.

Can any one tell me how to add a column in table control? My requirement is to add two columns ( custom fields ) into table control ( It is a standard program). I have added the column in the table and also in the table control. But when I am running the standard program, The newly added column is not there. But I have added in the perticular screen. Change is not reflected.
Can anyone help me on this please.

Ensure the following :
1. After adjusting the database, you`ll have to use the database utility and activate the table.
2. If you have changed the standard screen, in tcode se80 -- right click on the program and click activate all. This activates all objects related to that program.
Now execute the program.

Show Rows Where Two Columns have Same Data

Hello,
I have a spreadsheet that I need to sort by showing me all the rows where the data is equal between two columns.
I.E. I have a column called Last Name and I have another column, U, with some of those Last Names, I want to sort the spreadsheet to show me only the rows that match up with the same Last Name in coumn a and U.

To sort the table:
Add two columns to the table. For this discussion, I'll refer to them as columns AA and AB.
In AA2, enter: =ROW()
Fill to the bottom of the table. With all f these cells selected, Copy, then Edit > Paste Values.
This gives you a column you can sort by to restore the original order of the table.
In AB2, enter: =IF(A=U,U," ") using option-space between the double quotes.
Visually, this will repeat the duplicated names once more in column AB.
An ascending sort on column AB will bring all rows with duplicate data in columns A and U to the top of the table.
For greater visibility You might also add a conditional format rule to all of column AB, as I've done here for column D:
The box to the right of "Text doesn't contain" contains a single 'option-space' character. The ascending sort (on column D) has not yet been done.

I created a pivot table with two metrics columns. One metrics column has the aggregation rule of 'Min', the other has 'Max'. Now I want to add a column to show the difference of these two metrics for each row. Is this possible? How to do it? Thank you in advance.

How add new column in analysis from two subject area

which is the right way to add a new column to an existing combined analysis from two subject areas?
if I add the new column first in my two combined queries, then I saw a new column in the results column panel, but this new column is empty and I can't edit its propreties (the button edit column doesn't work). I can't even save the modified analysis due to a "bad xml" errror.
if I try to first add a new column from the results panel and then in my combined queries, obiee says that new columns are not of the same type.
I suppose this is because the new column in results panel has no aggregation formula, unlike new columns in queries.
But I don't know how to change the properties of the new field in the results panel, with no subject area available.
I have to restart from a single subject area? possible?
In this case, there is a way to save/copy filters ecc. from the old analysis?

When you are using union clause in analysis or combining with other subject area you suppose to have same number of columns and their datatypes with other analysis.
for datatype issues you can use cast in column expression in each analysis. If you want to add a column only from 1 analysis just add and in other analysis use dummy column with exp 0 or ''(for char) based on the datatype.
These you have to deal with each analysis.

According to your description, you want to add secondary X axis for one series in a column chart, right?
The secondary axis is useful when comparing two value sets with two distinct data ranges that share a common category. In Reporting Services, it’s not supported to create two X axis for one series. We can create secondary X axis when there are two series
in a column chart. As we tested in our local environment, we can add secondary X axis for specific series. Please refer to the screenshots below:

My requirement is to Add Two Zfields at column level of Sales order Item of VA01.
i found 8459 Screen Exit , but it will display in Additional Tab B .
And aslo I need to get the zfield values for every line item .

the recommended BADI is MD_ADDD_COL_EZPS.
I am working on a requirement about adding a column to MD04(when you input /nMD04 in the system you will see two tabs, one is Individual access and the other is Collective access), for the Individual access you input material and plant and press 'Enter', you will see a alv-like list about the material, I want to add a column next to the current last column(Available qty), so can anyone tell me how to solve this? thank you in advance!

for this u need developer access key , without developer access key , u can not add.
