I am trying to use "Add Value Help" in a variable form, but when I execute "Deploy" appears the following error:

Thanks for you reply, i am trying to provide it to normal input field not to any combo box etc.
Yes in my system, it is not available for any input field. But the documents which i read, their they show the "Add Value Help" option.
I would request you to reply on my question frequently, the reason being i have to submit this functionality to business very soon. I hope you understand. Thanks!

I am trying to develop a small adobe interactive form application embedded in web dynpro java.
I am unable to make value help work. I have edited the

javascript bit, but to no use.
I tried this: Adobe Interactive Forms - F4 help for fields but it doesn't work for me.
Saphelp suggests just the same.
Can this actually be achieved on Java or only abap?

Also note you need to have the value help placed in the same subform as the field you use it for.

Value Help Not Working and Values Not Showing in BPS0

I have custom characteristics transported from a BW 3.5 system to a NW2004s. I have maintained master data and activated master data. When I try to do the value help selection from inside maintain, I don't see the characteristic values. In BPS0 the values are not registering and the variables are failing cause they say there are no master data values. How to resolve?

I also noted the anomaly only occurs with custom characteristics, transported from a 3.5 system to a NW 2004s system and have NO attributes assigned to the characteristic. Those custom ones that have attributes show up fine.

Visual Composer 7.0.1 (EHP1) - Value Help only shows "Single Selection"

I tried to add a value help to a field that allows multiple selections. However, when I used the wizard through "Add Value Help" drop-down menu, I can only see one proposed selection - "Single selection". However this SAP help document (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/b5/036d391f074f769e00602634ee9960/content.htm) mentioned about the "Multiple selection" option. What I can do to make this selection available?
I am using VC 7.0.1 (EHP1). Thanks for any helps in advance.

Are you using 'BI Query' as 'data Service'? & are you creating value help for variable? If Yes -
Create necessary variable as 'Multiple Single Options' in your BEx query & then create value help in VC. Then it will allow multiple options or interval values.

...but per my understanding, in order to be able to select "BI Data Sources", because all BPM Data Sources can be accessed from this choice only, you need to have BW, and you need to configure the connection between your BPM and BW??
Also, your own custom BPM Data Sources can be created only with the "Reporting Activity" in NWDS, Process Development perspective??

Multiple selection in value help with Web service

Hi All,
I want to get data from web service and store in data base. I created input form with set of inputfields. For some input filds in that input form, I want to get value from web service.So I have used value help wizard. I followed below link to create value help wizard for web service.
Value help wizard working with java web service ?
While creating value help, it is only showing 'single selection' option. It does not showing any other options. Here I want to get multiple values from value help. How can I acheive this?.

Visual Composer 7.0

Good day,
Can anyone please give advice or help regarding the visual composer. I am currently busy trying to design on visual composer but i am currently having some difficulties. I have installed the VC on my PC and install all necessary system requirements e.g microsoft xml parser 4.0 and adobe svg viewer 3.0. But when i try to do some changes on the model i cant the form is in read-only mode.

If VC prperly working from other PC...then you need to trobleshoot on your PC...
1. Please clear browser cookies and Temp and histrory file from browser (ex. Internet Explorer, mozila)
2. Maintain IP and Host Name in host file entry for your VC server at go to (RUN >> Drivers >> etc >> hosts file)
then open new browser and login to portal adn try again.

Freely-programmed value help for a single ALV cell

Greetings everyone,
I have a freely-programmed value help that works beautifully when attached to the context element of a single field, but now I'm needing to use it in an ALV for a specific cell. Is there a way to shut off the dropdown for all of the rows (cells) in the column where I don't need it? Or, is there an appropriate workaround that can deliver the same results?
I've found several posts that address similar issues, but nothing for this exact problem.

I take it from reading your description what you want is a little more complicated than just controlling the read-only property on the input field. If I read you properly you still want to have all the cells in a column to be open for input, just on some of them you want to disable the value help. Is that correct? See these screen shots for clarification:

If this is what you want, then buckel up because this was a challenging one. The problem is that the value help specification is not done at the UI element level, but instead at the context attribute level. Therefore it can't be as simple as controlling a property on the inputField itself. What you will need to do is extend the context node that you have bound to the ALV. You need to add a second version of the attribute that is bound to your input field. In this second version you can set the value help specification to Disabled:

Notice from the screen shot that I also added another attirbute called CVAR (type STRING). We will need that later. It will be used to store which cell variant show be used on a particular row.
Now we must go to the place in your code where you fill the context node with data. You will need to copy the data from your primary attribute to your secondary one. In my case I was copying the values from CARRID to CARRID2. Of course for update, you would need to merge the data back together before saving it back to the database. I also set a simple odd/even pattern of controller in the cell variant. I assume you will have some actual business logic that controls this:

Problem in Value help

I created a custom component 'ZTEST23' it act sas pop-up screen in my component for the field LAST NAME when I click the F4 the pop-up is generated but when i double click on the value,it is not coming back to to last name and pop-up is not closing automatically? <<text removed>>

Value help in ABAP Webdynpro

Hi Experts,
I have to create a value help for an icon in a table.
The full story is:
There is a table with a filed, which has the proper standard value help, which works perfectly
The problem is that this column in the table is just a "technical" field, becase it isn't displayed by the webdynpro, because in the next column an icon is displayed for the field.
Example:
FieldName = ready
Possible values: 0, 1.
The AWD display the "red Light" icon for value 0 and "Green light" icon for value 1 in the table
I'd like to display the value help for this field (it's an information for the user, what does the green/red light means)
How can I do that? Is this even possible?

No - not really...
you can launch the value help from the link to action (in the action handler call the value help - I think I've posted on how to do this before - have a search, but if you can't find it post another question)- but it won't display that nice little dropdown icon and I'm guessing you want two types of interaction - one on click and one just to explain/choose the current value. I'd probably go with the previously mentioned solution of using a tooltip - although again you have the issue of not being able to have anything other than text in a tooltip. Alternately I'd have the custom value help launched on click of the icon and then have another button to launch any other actions
A legend somewhere in your screen might be useful - but perhaps your screen layout won't like that very much.
If you're looking for a more graphical representation of a multi state option - you might want to consider the [Threshold Slider|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/dc/a65ca1b6054f06929ee40ac59f8a40/frameset.htm] rather than your own icons - but I guess it depends on your requirement.

when i click on "Add Value Help" and proceed further it gives me an error stating " value help based on this object is not supported"

I believe the common mistake made here is that you are trying to create value help under the "VARIABLE" drop down . you can only create value help on the "CHARATERICTICS" .
so to solve you problem please identify the INFOOBJECT associated with that variable and create value help on that.

For this creat all variables with single form and then add value helps there.
You are getting same list means you are creating (using same design parameters) for both fields:
comp_code and Emp_code .
I think u did mistake in fields mapping while creating value help i.e step no 2
Can u check this once and if this is not correct just send ur gml file i will check and let u know the problem

Error with Value Help

We Have Installed Netweaver Portal 7.0 and this is connected to CRM 5.0
We had a requirement where we had to Connect this Portal to two different Clients of the same CRM system. For this we made a copy of Business Packages Folder under Content Provided by SAP>Specialist>CRM.In the Copied folder we then replaced the value 'SAP_CRM' with the System Name i gave for new Client using Multi Proprety Replacement.Everything is working fine now except the value Help.
When I login using the User Id mapped with the CRM user in 2nd Client(Which uses Copied BP) and when i press the Value help icon it throws a run time error:

i've assigned the Copied Default CRM services ROle for this Id and even then it does not work.
But when i login using the Portal ID which is mapped to CRM user in 1st Client(Which uses original BP) Value help is working fine.
Has anyone faced similar issue previously.
Do i need to anything other than Multi Proprety Replacement for this Case.

Value Help for Date inverval in Variable Form in Visual Composer

I have created a variable form which has Date interval with value help as one of the parameters.
when i click on the value help and select any date interval then it is displayed as say '20081015:20090101' but when i submit this value i get an error "INVALID_VARIABLE_VALUES".
this variable is working fine when i manually enter the interval as '10/15/2008:01/01/2009'.
is there any way where we can input the date interval value as '10/15/2008:01/01/2009' using the value help.

Hi Ramakrishna,
Value help is considered as a popup iview in visual composer. You can change the fields in popup iview like normal iview. Drill down the popup iview of the value help and change the date format using DSTR function.
