Adding a authentication Header in the Envelope Header of SOAP Request

Hi Experts,
                   I want to send an authentication header as the Envelope header of the SOAP Request as follows.
<env:Header>
          <AuthHeader>
               <Id>MyOemId</Id>
               <Password>MyOemPassword</Password>
               <Domain>MyDomain</Domain>
               <UId>MyUserId</UId>
               <UPassword>MyPassword</UPassword>
          </AuthHeader>
</env:Header>
<env:Body>
</env:Body>
If I include this as part of my Source XI message then it will go as a payload which is not the requirement.
Any suggestions for this?
Thanks
Ajay

Try using the "Keep Header" parameter at soap sender communication channel.

  • SOAP HTTP header in SOAP request

    Hi,
    How to add the soap HTTP additional header in the SOAP request?
    I want to add the headers not through coding. I want to add it manually.
    I can able to add the HTTP headers through SOAPUI. But i need to add the same inside the request.
    Could someone please help me?

    I am sending the SOAP request through SoapUI.
    Here is the sample request which i have used.
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:req="http://requisition.api.newscale.com">
    <soapenv:Header>
    <req:AuthenticationToken>
    <req:Username>***</req:Username>
    <req:Password>***</req:Password>
    </req:AuthenticationToken>
    </soapenv:Header>
    <soapenv:Body>
    <req:getRequisitionStatus>
    <req:loginUserName>***</req:loginUserName>
    <req:requisitionId>123456</req:requisitionId>
    </req:getRequisitionStatus>
    </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    Here i have to add the additional HTTP header with this request.

  • How do we determine the HTTP authentication header for our hosted solution?

    How do we determine the HTTP authentication header (adobeconnect_admin_httpauth) from our hosted solution? The documentation says to find it in a custom.ini file but I have no clue how to access that.
    I need to supply that to the adobeconnect plugin used with a Moodle instance, screnshot below.
    If it helps, when I click "Test Connection", I see the following output.
    A series of tests have been run in order to determine whether the Adobe Connect Pro server has been properly setup for this integration to work and to also determine whether the user credentials provided in the activity global settings has the correct permissions to perform the neccessary tasks required by the activity module. If any of the tests below have failed, this activity module will not function properly.

  • OfficialFile.asmx The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Anonymous'. The authentication header received from the server was 'Negotiate,NTLM'. ERROR

    We are getting an error on the authentication piece when trying to submit a file to the OfficialFile.asmx web service to submit a document to the Drop-Off Library. Here is the code snippet -
    public string FileUpload(HttpPostedFile FileInput, RecordsRepositoryProperty[] properties)
    string strFileUrl = string.Empty;
    RecordsRepositorySoapClient repository = new RecordsRepositorySoapClient();
    BinaryReader b = new BinaryReader(FileInput.InputStream);
    byte[] binData = b.ReadBytes(FileInput.ContentLength);
    repository.ClientCredentials.Windows.ClientCredential = new System.Net.NetworkCredential(iUserID, iUserPassword, iUserDomain);
    repository.ClientCredentials.Windows.AllowedImpersonationLevel = System.Security.Principal.TokenImpersonationLevel.Impersonation;
    repository.SubmitFile(binData, properties, null, FileInput.FileName, HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name);
    strFileUrl = repository.GetFinalRoutingDestinationFolderUrl(properties, null, FileInput.FileName).Url;
    return strFileUrl;
    Although we are setting the network credential in the client call we still get the error
    - The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Anonymous'. The authentication header received from the server was 'Negotiate,NTLM'.
    Ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Based on the error message, the issue is related to the authentication type.
    I suggest you can specify the credential type like the below:
    CredentialCache credentialCache = new CredentialCache();
    NetworkCredential credentials = new NetworkCredential(UserName, PassWord, sDomain);
    credentialCache.Add(new Uri(recordCenterUrl), "NTLM", credentials);
    Here is a detailed code demo for your reference:

  • Posting XML via HTTP post returns "Envelope missing in SOAP message header"

    Hi,
    I am trying to post a simple XML message directly to the integration server using an html document, where the form that contains the XML message is a simple
    <b><FORM action="http://servername:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry" method="post"></b>
    So, I add my xml message like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8">
    <ns:PlantMaintenanceMessageType xmlns:ns="http://sap.com/demo/plantmaintenance">
          <EquipmentID>SLIEQUIP5</EquipmentID>
          <FunctionalLocation>KB</FunctionalLocation>
          <Date/>
          <Time/>
    </ns:PlantMaintenanceMessageType>
    but I get a message back from the Integration Server as:
    <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
      <SAP:Category>XIProtocol</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="PARSER">ITEM_MISSING</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1>Envelope</SAP:P1>
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
      <b><SAP:Stack>XML tag Envelope missing in SOAP message header (SAP XI Extension)</SAP:Stack></b>
      </SAP:Error>
    Seems like I am missing the Envelope so my Integration Server can understand my post. What does the Envelope look like or should conatain so that the Integration Server accepts my XML file ?
    Thanks !

For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SDK documentation and inspect t”
    I turned on logging (utl_dbws.set_logger_level) I see that system sends standard SOAP envelope and does not have Header at all. How can I use my own SOAP envelope and/or add Header.
    All info that logging give is:

    HTTP is HTPP... mostly.
    In other words, the application protocol is stand and specified in RFC2616 (http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616.html)
    The exception is specific proprietary extensions.. like for example Microsoft's NTLM authentication handshake.
    The UTL_HTTP interface supports the protocol pretty well as per the protocol's specification. So using it to interact with a a web service should not be a major issue. The protocol is standard (e.g. POST command is used to supply the payload to the web service). The only real issue is formatting the payload for that as per what the web service expect. And that has nothing to do with HTTP itself - or UTL_HTTP. It is simply the delivering mechanism.
    Getting that mechanism to work is fairly easy and should not pose a problem. Instead I suggest you focus on exactly how the HTTP payload needs to look like. Does that web service expects any specific name-values in the header? What does it expect in the body? Etc.

  • Ignoring Http basic authentication header in wls 7.0.sp2 web service servlet (weblogic.webservice.server.servlet.WebServiceServlet)

    Hi!
    We need to implement authentication using our own methods, and the authentication
    information is provided to the web service implementation in a basic authentication
    header. The problem is, that the servlet
    weblogic.webservice.server.servlet.WebServiceServlet, which handles web services
    in
    wls 7.0.sp2, always attempts to perform authentication, if the header is present.
    Is there any way to circumvent this, because we want to implement authentication
    on our own?
    I already know two workarounds:
    The best would of course be to implement a custom security realm for our own
    authentication system. This is not an option, implementing an own security
    realm is overkill for this specific web service.
    The other way would be to route the requests by way of a custom servlet, which
    would
    remove the basic authentication header, and put the authentication info in custom
    headers, such as x-auth: <user:password>, or smthng similar, and after successful
    authentication, make a call to bea's servlet weblogic.webservice.server.servlet.WebServiceServlet.
    But still, I'd like to know if there is any way to tell bea's servlet to ignore
    the basic
    authentication header?
    Oh yeah, by the way, this is URGENT, as always. (really!! ;)
    Toni Nykanen

    Currently there is no option to turn off security check.
    I think you can use a servlet filter mapped to the URL
    of your service, instead of a proxy servlet?

    Can somebody please enlighten me about this error? Points would be rewarded immediately
    Regards,
    Manish

    Dear Manish,
    quite often the reason for this kind of error
    is the fact that the receiver of the XI message is
    returning a http response to the Integration Server.
    As of XI3.0 SP21 / PI7.0 SP13 this response
    is also properly parsed and visible in the error
    header of the XI message.
    For almost all prior support package levels an
    advanced correction is available as per OSS note:
    1064346 Improved error output for connection problems
    Please check whether this applies to your system.
    If so, you will see detailed information on the error
    in the error header object of the XI message as soon
    as this issue re-occurs.

  • How to add X-authenticated header with SMTP-auth

    I have smtp-auth working here. I also have normal mail header to see what ip the message is coming from. But I'd like to add X-authenticated to signature the mail is authenticated by end user.
    Can I do that? What parameter i can use for message filter?
    Many thanks.
    Chris

    Currently you can't ; however, you should open a case with IronPort and request that feature - the more that request the feature the better the chance for it to get implemented. My company has already requested this feature. We asked for a variable and a condition that we could use in filters.

  • Adding additional XML Header in Target XML structure

    Hi all,
    I have a requirement that i need add one additional XML header to target XML messages. At the moment i can see default XML header as ,
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <Test>
    <Add>Test Mesage</Add>
    </Test>
    But i would like to have one more additional header like below,
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <?Siebel-Property-Set EscapeNames="false"?>
    <Test>
    <Add>Test Mesage</Add>
    </Test>
    Can some one help me to find a way to adding this additional header?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Hot to get authentication header in Salesforce

    Hi,
    How can i get authentication header of Eloqua  using salesforce?
    I am forming the request as given in the below link.
    http://topliners.eloqua.com/community/code_it/blog/2012/09/21/eloqua-rest-api--authenticating
    Syntax: siteName + '\' + username + ':' + password
    Example: COMPANYX\user1:password123
    Do i need to use salesforce session id to get the authentication header?

    Hi Arjun,
    The format you're using looks right, but it should also be base-64 encoded when included in the header.
    The following header example uses basic authentication and base-64 encoded credentials :
    Authorization: Basic Q09NUEFOWVhcdXNlcjE6cGFzc3dvcmQxMjM=
    Hope this helps.

  • How to pass authentication token with the request. Error in executing

    Hi,
    I am trying to do a service call.  This service is provided by a third party.  I used SOAP UI tester to test the service and it gives proper response for a request.
    I tried to create a client proxy and execute the method call, but it fails.  In SICF recorder, I found that the request that goes into the service does not contain the authentication token.  But in the SOAP UI tool when I input the WSDL file, it created a sample request, with authentication token in header section.
    But the proxy class generated in the system, contains a input structure, which does not have this authentication structure in it.
    Please guide me if there is any different method used to pass this authentication information.  The structure of authentication structure is
    <web:licenseKey>?</web:licenseKey>
            <web:password>?</web:password>
            <web:username>?</web:username>
    I thought that this authentication information should be given in settings of logical port.  But the logical port has only user name and password.  There is no place holder for License key.
    In summary: My query is that, there is no structure generated for SOAP header where I can pass authentication information, hence the request that goes into the service from SAP does not contain the authentication token.  This results in a error non-soap message/error type 500.
    Sample request that worked in SOAP UI tester is
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:web="http://webservices.smc.com">
       <soapenv:Header>
          <web:AuthenticationToken>
             <web:licenseKey>XYZA</web:licenseKey>
            <web:password>ABC123</web:password>
            <web:username>suresh<AT>gmail<DOT>com</web:username>
          </web:AuthenticationToken>
       </soapenv:Header>
       <soapenv:Body>
          <web:isReady/>
       </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    The request that goes out of the SAP system does not contain, the AuthenticationToken part.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Suresh.

    You would need to write a webservice handler for your physical data service to implement the security.

  • Missing Security header in SOAP

    Hello!
    I used WSDLs to  generate a few client proxy classes in order to access web services of a 3rd party application. The first call was successfull: I called START_SESSION method passing username and password and got proper response (ticket, session ID). Afterwards, I wanted to call methods of other proxy classes of the same application and always got
    SoapFaultCode:1  WSDoAllReceiver: Request does not contain required Security header
    How do I pass security header and what does it consist of? I suppose ticket and/or session ID, but it is not part of any method's interface.
    What should I do?
    Thanks in advance!
    Kind regards,
    Igor
    Unfortunately, WSDL is not available in public. If necessary; I'll post it, but for the first post I'll try not to occupy space.

    Hi!
    I did research on this topic with server application and I quote what I found:
    <i>The Alfresco web services have always used the WS Security header to pass the ticket information to the server.
    The ticket is plucked out of the password parameter and cross checked within the server to ensure the request can proceed.
    So long as you construct the WS Security header correctly authentication at the repository should occure without problem</i>
    I get the ticket from the successfull call of START_SESSION method of different (authentication) proxy class, but don't know what to do with it. How to include it in security header of another proxy method call? Or should I do something else?
    I'll describe what I tried - please see if I did something wrong:
    1. In SE80 -> Client proxy maintenance, I selected tab Preconfiguration, selected "Session-Oriented communication" -> Checked "Select Feature"
    2. Same tab, selected "Authentication" -> Basic
    3. Activated the proxy
    4. WSSPROFILE -> Created profile based on CHECK_USERNAME template
    5. LPCONFIG -> Selected operation GET_USER, entered the newly created profile both in ProfileIn and ProfileOut, activated
    6. Activated client trace, called method and got SOAP request without any security info in header:
    <soap-env:Envelope xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
      <soap-env:Header>
        <n0:Trace xmlns:n0="http://www.sap.com/webas/630/soap/features/runtime/tracing/">
          <TraceLevel xmlns="http://www.sap.com/webas/630/soap/features/runtime/tracing/">Error</TraceLevel>
        </n0:Trace>
      </soap-env:Header>
      <soap-env:Body>
        <nr1:getUser xmlns:nr1="http://www.alfresco.org/ws/service/administration/1.0" xmlns:nr2="http://www.alfresco.org/ws/model/content/1.0">
          <nr1:userName>ADMIN</nr1:userName>
        </nr1:getUser>
      </soap-env:Body>
    </soap-env:Envelope>
    I must have done something wrong.

  • Adding a Left Navigation in the place of Current navigation in SharePoint 2013 Site.

    Hi All,
    I have successfully converted an HTML Page to a SharePoint 2013 Master Page. I also created a Custom Page Layout. Using both them I have created my SharePoint Site with 30+ pages. Each page is consisted with the Top Header Navigation as it is inheriting
    from the Master Page I have used. Now I need the left navigation inherit from the master page also. It gives me the advantage of updating it from the master page and affects it through the entire SharePoint Site.
    But at the moment I am inserting the Left Nav using a web part as an HTMl code snippet individually for each and every page. If needs a modification I have to go through all the pages and do the modification. This is not convenient also. I want to this left
    nav like the SharePoint Current Navigation alternative but within my Page Layout.
    Is there an option to chat within these forums?
    Could someone help me to solve this problem?
    Thanks and regards,
    Chiranthaka

    Hi Chiranthaka,
    Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
    Since
    this forum is to discuss: Visual
    Studio WPF/SL Designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help System, and Visual Studio Editor.
    Based on your issue,
    it is more related to the sharepoint, so I’m afraid that
    it is not the correct forum for this issue.
    In addition, I find that you have been posted this issue in this SharePoint forum:

    so we will merge this case to the above case, I think that the SharePoint expert will follow up your issue.
    Thanks for your understanding.

  • SOAP Header in SOAP Receiver adapter

    Hi All,
    I am doing a Proxy to  Webservice scenario where webservice requires the SOAP request as below.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
        <SOAP-ENV:Header>

                </mh:MessageData>
            </mh:CustomHeader>
            <wsse:Security xmlns:wsse="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2002/04/secext">

            </wsse:Security>
        </SOAP-ENV:Header>
        <SOAP-ENV:Body>
        </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    Need your help to understand how can we achieve this using Standard SOAP adapter to customize the Header part as it requires to include "<mh:CustomHeader " & "UsernameToken".
    Or Do i need to go for adapter module development to create this SOAP request.
    Please provide your suggestion to achieve this scenario.
    Thanks & regards

    Created  a below target payload in a message mapping with  SOAP Header & Body part as per the requirement.
    In SOAP receiver communication channel, checked the option " Do Not Use SOAP Envelope".
    But while executing an sceanrio, i am facing  an error in SOAP receiver channel as Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
    And if i don't check the option " Do Not Use SOAP Envelope" it gives an error as
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: Unable to obtain service binding,error=Payload Envelope is not a known message for TestWebserviceService.
    Please provide your suggestions to handle this issue.
