How to add X-authenticated header with SMTP-auth

I have smtp-auth working here. I also have normal mail header to see what ip the message is coming from. But I'd like to add X-authenticated to signature the mail is authenticated by end user.
Can I do that? What parameter i can use for message filter?

Currently you can't ; however, you should open a case with IronPort and request that feature - the more that request the feature the better the chance for it to get implemented. My company has already requested this feature. We asked for a variable and a condition that we could use in filters.

We are using RNIF exchange protocol. We have sent invoice from BPEL to B2B. The message invoice reaches the trading partner but they are unable to process it or sent ack back as few header lines are missing in the RNIF envelope.
Can anyone tell me or provide some pointers abt how to add/change missing header lines in B2B?
These are the headers missing:
Delivery header:
<locationID> <Value>HostTradingPartner</Value> </locationID>
Service Header:
<messageStandard>
<FreeFormText xml:lang="EN">PIDX</FreeFormText>
</messageStandard> <standardVersion>
<VersionIdentifier>1.0</VersionIdentifier>

Can anyone provide some inputs on this?

As per RNIF standard, all these header elements (locationID in Delivery Header & messageStandard and standardVersion in Service Header) are optional. As you are using RossettNet over RNIF, so Oracle B2B might not be setting these headers.
I do not have a 10g setup here so cann't test it. I would suggest you to raise a case with Oracle Support because PIDX is a non-RossettaNet standard and it's implementation in Oracle B2B will be different to RossettaNet implementation. Meanwhile, I would try the same in B2B 11g setup.

You'll, according to the readme generated by your C3PO Wizard, have to run
Regasm.exe <your C3PO server>
That will create the needed regkeys...
Also, you might have to add the typelib wrapper and assambly to the GAC, bu typing:
Gacutil -i <your C3PO server>

For your internal clients to be authenticated,
replace "mustsaslserver" instead of "maysaslserver" in tcp_intranet channel on your imta.cnf file. Then all clients connecting from your internal IPs (listed on your mappings file) will be authenticated.
Add the below two parameters for messenger express users to use the same system.
configutil -o local.service.http.smtpauthuser -v "store admin user name"
configutil -o local.service.http.smtpauthpassword -v "store admin password"
All other external smtp connections (MX pointed) are not authenticated since they are directed to tcp_local channel.

How to add a bing map with pins to a Siena Project

I just want to add a bing map with the current location and a few nice pins of some nice locations around me. Comming out of a Excel file. Potentially also draw some routing lines into the bing maps.
Any ideas how I can accomplish that goal?

You will however have to build the correct string to included in the image source (which you can do in the source excel or in runtime in siena)

the PP indicates the pin actually and the bing map autocenters on that. You have several options listed on the webpage listed above. It's a question of the one fitting you best.
Please note that your bing key is yours so you need to hide it well enough.

How to add empty soap header?

Hello,
I created a web service proxy using WSDL and XSD files. Then, I created a sample request from client interface and sent the request as an object to call the web services. However, I am not directly calling the webservices as I am doing it through a Gateway. Here, the problem is, the Gateway accepts only empty SOAP headers and the Gateway inserts the security details in that SOAP header and will send a request to the original web services. Even if we add any element in the SOAP header, it is not accepting the request.
While sending a request through the client interface(Java class), I am not able to generate a empty SOAP header and send as request. I tried several ways adding a empty header. but no result. Is there any way we can add empty SOAP header while sending a requesting through Java class(Client interface)?

I have tried different approaches for adding empty SOAP header with no elements. But, none of them worked. The only solution for this issue is to add OSB proxy which has the functionality to send empty SOAP header which worked for me.

Reason enough IMO. But anyway... you refer to the Traditional build method in the wiki, but is it possible you didn't really read it? Or maybe you only skimmed it? Did you run make menuconfig? Did you try to build everything in instead of using modules? That mkinitcpio output suggests that you did.
As suggested there for first-timers, it's a good idea to start with a kernel configuration that is known to work - the Arch config is the obvious choice, but there are other sources e.g. http://kernel-seeds.org/ .

I am using oracle jdeveloper 11g.
I am trying to create a table to display rows using the below query in a jspx page,
select * from ade_txns where series='WORKPLACE_PT.11.1.1.8.0_GENERIC' and transaction like 'rkumara%'
I am using a view with query and binding variables as below,
select * from ade_txns where series= :p_series and transaction like :p_QAEngineer
I will be passing p_QAEngineer using binding variable using 'ExecuteWithParams' using a dropdown(eg: 'rkumara'). But I need to add a '%' to this value as I am using a 'LIKE' clause in my query.
I tried using,
select * from ade_txns where series= :p_series and transaction like :p_QAEngineer+'%'
But this is not working for me.
Can someone please tell me how i can solve this.

AuthenticationFailedException when using JNDI and JavaMail with SMTP auth

Hi all - I've been banging my head on this one for awhile now - hopefully someone else has done this.
We are working in a servlet container (tomcat), and need obtain a mail session from JNDI. We do this as follows:
               Context initCtx = new InitialContext();

               Session mailSession=(Session) envCtx.lookup("mailSession/trumpetinc");so far so good. The jndi entry for the mail session is configured in server.xml as follows:

trans.sendMessage(msg, msg.getAllRecipients());and finally, I close the transport:

I have faced the same problem and after some googling and trying I have discovered what causes the AuthenticationFailedException exception. I just wanted to share the knowedge maybe it will be helpfull to others.
Here it is what the API says:
To use SMTP authentication you'll need to set the mail.smtp.auth property (see below) and provide the SMTP Transport with a username and password when connecting to the SMTP server. You can do this using one of the following approaches:
1.Provide an Authenticator object when creating your mail Session and provide the username and password information during the Authenticator callback.
Note that the mail.smtp.user property can be set to provide a default username for the callback, but the password will still need to be supplied explicitly.
This approach allows you to use the static Transport send method to send messages.
2.Call the Transport connect method explicitly with username and password arguments.
This approach requires you to explicitly manage a Transport object and use the Transport sendMessage method to send the message. The transport.java demo program demonstrates how to manage a Transport object. The following is roughly equivalent to the static Transport send method, but supplies the needed username and password:
Using the Transport.connect makes the JNDI not very helpfull for configuration.
It seems that using just the mail.smtp.user and mail.smtp.pass is not sufficient for the authentication.
so, the solution is :
just place these to lines in the JNDI configuration:
          username="test"
          password="test1"
so it should looks as follows:
          <Resource name="mail/Session" auth="Container"
          type="javax.mail.Session"
          username="test"
          password="test1"
          mail.transport.protocol="smtp"
          mail.smtp.auth="true"

AUTH Command is not enabled, when try to enable webmail with smtp auth

Hi,
I'm trying to force all the webmail users to authenticate (smtp auth) when they send an email.
I already configure this:
local.service.http.smtpauthpassword = xxxxx
local.service.http.smtpauthuser = admin
and reload the http service. (the password is correct)
Then, enter to the webmail interface and tried to sent an email but when pressed "sent" the following message appears:
SMTP: Error 5.7.1 AUTH Command is not enabled.
Do I have to do something else? Any lead?

I know about the little use of the webmail authentication but it is something I need to do because in my configuration I have to differentiate between users who can send emails to internet and users who can not, and in order to do that, I need to authenticate all the users. So far is working if the user uses an email client.
For webmail I did not know that I have to add in the tcp_intranet channel definition the attribute: mustsaslserver.
