Adding a new user to default My dashboard
Hi Forum,
I am stuck in a peculiar situation although it is not so tricky issue.
I have created reports under default dashboard i.e My Dashboards with a user aaa. Later I have created a user with bbb.
Now I want the user bbb to access the My Dashboard but I am unable to do so.
So please guide me to assosiate the My dashboard report's to bbb user.
Perhaps I would have created a new dashboard with a name instead of My Dashboard.

I would create a new dashboard and move the content from the personal (My Dashboard) to this new shared dashboard.

I am facing a issue related to logical standby db server where after adding a new user at production db server logical standby has stopped sql apply. Can anybody give some idea to find out the root cause and give some tips to resolve the issue.

Repository Administration Utility - error while adding a new user
Hello all,
I'm currently experiencing some difficulties when I try to add a new user with the RAU tool. First I had problems installing the repository, in the CJSYSFOL stage (ORA-04063: package body "REPOS_MANAGER.JR_REG_IO" has errors). After granting execute rights on the UTL_FILE package, it seemed this problem was solved.
However, the installation is finished and I wanted to add a user with the RAU. In user maintanance I added a user and then set all the properties. After clicking OK, the following error is generated:
ORA-01919: role 'CKR_REPOS_MANAGER' does not exist
ORA-06512: at "REPOS_MANAGER.JR_SYS_PRIVS", line 236

Does anyone have a clue of what's going on here? And more important, how to solve this? Thanks for helping out!

WeisSee if the "Check Requirements" gives you any issues to be solved or the "Object Status" utility. Seems like the role CKR_REPOS_MANAGER is not granted (directly - so not via a role).

I have created a new tablespace, now i want to create new user but i cannot mention default tablespace and temporary tablespace for the new user.

Even new users getting default profile
I have an Windows server 2012 box configured with RDP services. I had been deleted a few old profiles (more than 90 days without logging in) to conserves space because my monitoring tool alerted me that there was 3GB left on the server. Upon deleting the
profiles I also deleted all of the registry keys associated with the profiles and rebooted the server. Now user log in including new users that had accounts created within the last 15 minutes are also getting default profiles. I have checked the Cals and we
are over our limit which we are working to remedy (we have the PO into management at this time should be approved any day now). Is there something else or somewhere else I should also be looking to resolve this issue. Thank you for any input. Please also take
note that I did delete all registry keys along with user folders for some of the people having issues.Hi,
1. Under ProfileList key you still have the four registry values (Default, ProfilesDirectory, ProgramData, Public)?
2. NTFS Permissions on C:\Users match the following:
SYSTEM Full control This folder, subfolders and files
Administrators Full control This folder, subfolders and files
Users Read and execute This folder, subfolders and files
Everyone Read and execute This folder, subfolders and files
3. Please post the exact error messages that are logged when a problem user logs on.

New User andn access to dashboard
I have created a new reporsitory and created an new user called"XYZ" other then Administrator. When I login into OBI EE using Administrator then I can see my dashboard but when I login with XYZ user I dont see my dashboard. Is there any setting I have to do to give access to new user.
Please guideIf you do not assign a user to the group, you will have to manage the privileges at user level, which is painstaking and not recommended. e.g. if you have 100 users and 5 groups, it is much easier to manage 5 groups.
As for sharing the dashboard, copy the contents of your dashboard to a shared dashboard using catalog manager and give XYZ permission to the new shared dashboard.
You can also try giving XYZ permissions to your dashboard using catalog manager, but I am not sure if it will work, and definitely not a good practice. -
Adding a new user account or just sharing one account?
Hello - looking for the best practice with this - my wife has an old PC laptop which is nearing the end of its life. She will probably just share my iMac with me. If so, her photos will be imported into iPhoto and her iTunes library will have to be migrated over. She also has an iphone with her own set of contacts in it. Three questions for folks out there who have multiple users on their macs:
1. Would it be best if she just had her own account on the mac or can we just share one account?
2. If we go the route of two separate accounts, will Time Machine be able to backup this new account?
3. Can one iTunes library and one iPhoto library be shared across two separate accounts?

Telephone Number field when adding a new User - CCM 4.2.1
Is their a way to automatically populate the telephone number field for a user? BAT does not allow this field to be added to the spreadsheet (phones-users). Thanks.

The DN is for the actual line number of the IP phone, not the telephone number field which is stored with the User infromation. These can be independent; for example, I might make a user's actual DN 40001, but want the telephone number in the CallManager Corp Directory to be 5179840001. So, I can place the E.164 number in the Telephone Number field under the User page in CCM. Then, when a user looks up the number using the Directories button on the IP phone, the full E.164 number shows up for that particular user search instead of the 5-digit number which is helpful for offnet dialing and overlapping dial plans among remote sites.
So, I am looking for a way to automactically populate the Telephone Number field for each user (not the line number of an actual IP phone).

"Email address is invalid" when adding a new user to BPC 7.0
Hello Experts,
I was adding a user with an apostrophe in his email (like "John.O'Hara (at) mycompany.com") and BPC didn't like that character with "Invalid email address" message. I've removed an apostrophe, added user and then modified email address directly in the tblUsers table.
Here is the question:
Is it possible that apostrophe would pop-up as an error later on in other modules of the application?

P.S. I can't modify user via Admin Console if apostrophe is in the email address... And it doesn't display user details when I click on that user name.

Edited by: Akim Zubarchuk on Nov 24, 2010 7:11 PMSAP BPC doesn't allow you to use some chars insight of ID of users or dimensions members because it can cause some errors later on. I don't advice you to force the insert direct into table because later on you can have problems.
I will provide just an example:
Single quote is used to delimitate strings into SQL Server.
So oifyou used insight of ID you can arrive in the situation where the system will perform a select like:
select * from table where userid ='John O'Hara'
The result willbe that actually no users meet this criteria.
This will happen because actually the condition will be just: userid = 'John O' the rest will be truncate.
So the BPC doesn't allow you to insert some chars into ID or other field just to avoid errors like into my example.

I went to set up a separate user for my child and when I was finished there was no Firefox icon . All it showed was Explorer. Do I have to download Firefox for every user? Please help?
Sounds that you didn't create a Firefox desktop icon for each user in the All Users group (C:\Users\All Users\Desktop), but only for the current user. You can either create a desktop shortcut to start Firefox on the desktop of your child to the "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" program or create that shortcut for all users in the "C:\Users\All Users\Desktop" folder.

I have previously added 5 new users in the Account Administration area without problem.
Today, I have tried to add another address which is also registered and verified as an Adobe ID, but whenever I submit it, I am getting the message 'Sorry! An error has occurred. Please try again'.
Any suggestions?Is the new user's Adobe ID already verified to use with DPS? If so, that could be the problem. Use a valid email address that hasn't been connected yet with DPS.

New users not showing up while trying to set folder permission settings
Server 2012
This is a new virtual domain server and file server in a starwind cluster, I just started migrating users last week.
This last weekend (two days ago) the cluster crashed while doing windows updates on this server. I have been unable to get it to download any updates since without crashing, not sure if that is related to this issue somehow.
I added some new users today and got them all logged in and their data transferred over. good. But then I went to this shared folder that everyone has a mapped drive too and tried to add them in the security tab of a sub folder but their accounts will not show
up when I search for them. Any account I added previously to last weekend show up, students, mine, etc.
even if I select the exact OU the accounts are located in, even if I type their whole name and domain. In AD the accounts are there.
If I log into the backup domain controller Their accounts show up there while in a folder security settings tab. They are listed in active directory on both domain controllers.
I have exhausted myself on Google search.
What the heck did I break?
Maybe I should run
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

If the DC is having USN rollback issue, we can resolve it by demote then re-promote or restore the DC using a supported method such as using System State backup to restore.

I can't add a new user in my Account Administration Panel, why?
I have been using DPS Professional for a while, but now I'm in troubles with it. I was able to create new users and then create applications assigned with the user I added before, but now I just can't do it anymore.
Even if it's a new Adobe ID, the problem stills. I have deleted current users and then I tried to add them again and no problem occurred.
