Adding a pre-existing classes to Eclipse

Hi,
I've downloaded and activated Eclipse 3.1 + JCOP tools and things seem OK.
I have a java card applet that I want to compile and simulate.
I've followed the instructions on the JCOP site and created a new java card project and dropped the .java file into the project. Eclipse seems to like this. I've set the AID for the applet and created an instance ID.
Everything seems to look good except that I'm getting an error that my applet AID is invalid or not set. I set the package ID via it's properties page. The package AID is all green, I take that to be good.
Is a package AID the equivalent to the applet AID? If not, how do I set the applet AID. If it is, how do I get my Eclipse/JCOP to recognize it's been set?
Thanks,
Cam

Do the same thing for the applet as you did for the package. It's in the properties

  • Importing existing classes to Eclipse?

    Suppose i just created a new Eclipse project. Is it possible for me then to import an EXISTING class as the
    main class for this project? I have tried to do it and can't see a way. It seems to only want new classes added
    to its projects. I know i can just cut and paste, but that is a pain so i want to know if i can just bring them in.
    Any ideas? Thanks

    i tried that, and i get these options:
    select import source:
    existing project into workspace
    external features
    external plug ins and fragments
    file system
    team project set
    zip file
    none of those looks like what i need. Any advice?use import>fileSystem

  • Adding a pre-existing podcast to iTunes U using the feed method.

    While trying to add another pre-existing CSULB podcast to our CSULB on iTunes U (using the "feed" method), I encountered an error message that I don't know how to interpret.
    Can you help me with this or is there somebody else at Apple I should work with?
    The pre-existing podcast is at: http://www.ccpe.csulb.edu/citt/podcast/feed.aspx
    The error message reads:
    "While attempting to download. . . iTunes U encountered an authorization error and could not update the content. Verity your authorization access to the feed specified in the feed URL field, including the user name and password permissions, and then try again."
    I have no idea what this means. Can someone please help?

    Is anyone using Podcast Producer 2 to publish content on iTunes U, and if so, does it work reasonably well (do you recommend using it)?
    Its spiffy. I like it, but I'm a softie when it comes to Apple stuff.
    Am I correct in thinking Podcast Producer 2 can only be used to create an RSS feed to point to podcasts stored in its Podcast Library or can you use Podcast Producer to upload files into our institutional iTunes U storage space (yes we are fortunate to have access to Apple's 500 GB storage space)?
    You can choose to do either. Although I haven't seen anything official, I suspect that Apple prefers the use of Podcast Library…but that's just a preference, not any sort of recommendation or future direction. In the end, I suggest (and I think Apple would agree) that you do what makes the most sense for you. For example, we choose to do it both ways.
    Can you provide a link to instructions (or explain how to either identify in iTunes U that the podcast is in Podcast Producer's Podcast Library as an RSS Feed or how to upload the podcast from Podcast Producer to a specific tab in a specific iTunes tab.
    I believe someone (a friend from Apple…??) released a PcP workflow action that deals with iTunes U the same way as PcPv1 did. Overall, though, probably the best kept PcP secret is that Podcast Producer is a generalized workflow solution. Sure, it's cast as a podcasting solution…but if you can get OS X Server to do something, you can get Podcast Producer to turn it into a workflow…anything. Since OS X Server can be scripted to upload content to iTunes U, Podcast Producer can handle that too.
    I appreciate any information given as I have tried with little success to find this information in either the iTunes U or Podcast Producer Admin guides.
    Thanks!!

  • Adding a pre-existing RAID5 array

    I'm running a solaris file server. I'm booting solaris off of a single disk and then have a RAID5 array across three disks for my data. I removed the disk that solaris was on, put in an empty hard drive and installed solaris again.
    My Question: How can I add my RAID5 array from my previous solaris install while keeping my data?

    Ok, so I ran metastat -p on the old install and got
    d0 -r c3d0s2 c1d0s2 c4d0s2 -k -i 32b
    Meaning that the name is d0, the disks it's on are
    c3d0s2 c1d0s2 c4d0s2 with an interlace size of 32b
    Assuing my disks are named the same thing on the new
    solaris install (they should be) I just feed that
    line there to metainit? As long as you have SVM configured on the machine, yes.
    Edit Final: Tried metainit, got the following
    metainit: pbfs01: there are no existing databasesThen you haven't set it up yet. You need to create metadevice replicas somewhere. They can be on the boot disk somewhere or on the array. It doesn't matter.
    The location of the old ones on the other machine would be shown by 'metadb'.
    If they were on the array, you can use the same location. When you do that, it will overwrite the old replicas.
    Once done, the 'metainit' command will work.

    in ical I just added new calendars to a pre-existing calendar group, I can make events with these calendars, but not reminders, any suggestions?

    Hi,
    Lion has changed the way reminders (todos as was) work. They now seem to need to be in a seperate calendar.
    In iCal open the File menu and select New Reminder List... and select where to put it.

  • Adding a character into a pre-existing filename; Bridge CS5.1

    I would like to know if it is possible  to add a character or in my case a ( Character & a Space ) in-between an already  pre-existing sequential number
    For example,
    1301 Filename.jpg - - - - -> 13 01. Filename.jpg  ( Added a ( Space ) inbetween the two numbers, and placed a ( Period ) aswell.
    I would like to do this action to a group of files using the Batch Rename Feature; inside of Adobe Bridge CS5.1
    Is this possible? Is there a work around?

    I understand how string substitution works, you are misinterpreting the question.
    I would like to change the number sequence from.
    1301 Filename.jpg - - - - - - - -> 13 01. Filename.jpg
    1302 Filename.jpg - - - - - - - -> 13 02. Filename.jpg
    1303 Filename.jpg - - - - - - - -> 13 03. Filename.jpg
    1304 Filename.jpg - - - - - - - -> 13 04. Filename.jpg
    1305 Filename.jpg - - - - - - - -> 13 05. Filename.jpg
    As you can see I would like to ( Add ) Characters not replace. the characters being a ( Space ) and a  ( Period )
    But if there is a way to replace all of my sequence numbers together, that would be a viable option aswell.As of now I am not aware of a substitution command that will get rid of say a four digit combonation of numbers no matter what the actuall numbers
    That last sections of what you copy and pasted states there may be commands ( Expressions ) to replace filename patterns, but I am not aware of any specific commands ( Expressions ) I must type inside of the text bar to achieve the affect I am looking for.
    Any pre-existing help on Expressions?
    They are foreign to me and I would like to study the information for future use.
    I will be searching Google, if by chance I come across information pertaining to this subject, I will let you know. As of now any help is much appreciated.
    Ok I have figured out how to get rid of the string of numbers by using the Regular Expression of [0-9] but,
    I still do not know how to add a ( space ) inbetween the numbers without doing it all manually.
    Regular Expressions is the answer to my question, but now I have a new question. Which Regular Exresion do I use? It seems like it will take quite some time to get a good understanding of Regular Expressions, is there anyone who has a fair amount of knowledge on the subject who is willing to assist me in the mean time?

  • *Added* code to existing source file, compiled it, and class file shrunk

    Another newbie here. Fortunately, my classpath is ok, so I'm able to compile a .java file.
    I added one line of code (System.out.println) to write the value of a variable to a log. After compiling with javac, I noticed that the resulting [new] class file was smaller than the existing class file. I looked at each of the class files with Textpad. It's gibberish, but I quickly saw that a large block of code was missing in the new class file, even though the size of the source file had been increased.
    There is a difference, however, between how the two class files were created. The existing class file was compiled (along with many others) by exporting an .EAR file from a development environment (WSAD) to the WebSphere Administrator Console. Conversely, I am now compiling the same source file with javac on my machine.
    I suspect that this is the reason why I can add code to a .java file, compile it, and have the resulting class file actually lose code. Even if I am correct, I don't know what to do about it.
    Does anyone have an idea?
    Regards,
    Daniel T.

    Thank you both for your replies. I've read many posts over the past few months, and I know how important it is to provide as much info as possible, when asking a question here. That said, I have another tasty tidbit...
    After replacing the existing (larger) class file with the new (smaller) class file, my application now produces this:
    "*Error 500: LinkageError while defining class*..." [name of class]
    *"...(Unsupported major.minor version 50.0) This is often caused by having a class defined at multiple locations within the classloader hierarchy. Other potential causes include compiling against an older or newer version of the class that has an incompatible method signature. Dumping the current context classloader hierarchy: ==> indicates defining classloader ==>[0] com.ibm.ws.classloader.CompoundClassLoader@6bd156d5 Local ClassPath:"*
    ...[the entire classpath]...
    Original exception--- java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError:
    I'm guessing that my focus should mostly be on the 'Original exception', and maybe I need to revisit the JRE or JDK or JVM (these terms are somewhat nebulous to me, so please forgive me using them interchangeably) on my machine. For now, I'll just keep trying stuff. Thanks again for the replies!

  • Adding a single page to pre-existing website

    I currently have a website running on Amazon S3 and want to add a page to the domain using Muse and do not want to replace the pre-existing website.
    Example:
    Current web address:
    subsite.mywebsite.com
    Desired address of Muse-created site:
    subsite.mywebsite.com/musesite.html
    subsite.mywebsite.com does not need to be modified in any way—my clients just need to be able to access musesite.html via a link using my brand's domain. Can this be accomplished using BusinessCatalyst provided hosting? If so, how can I accomplish this?

    Hi Joseph,
    You need to create the page in Muse and then export the html to a local folder on your computer and then upload the exported content on the root folder of your existing business catalyst site. You will not be able to use the web forms with this approach.
    If you can host the site in a sub directory, then you can create the page in the Muse and then publish directly to a sub-directory on the root, this way you will be able to use the web forms.

  • Adding Sequence to pre-existing Encore project

    I want to add a sequence to a pre-existing Encore project, though the dynamic link can only start a new project. Do I have to export it as a .mov file first, then import it into Encore?

    This question has been asked by plenty of users. When you use Encore first by dynamic linking from Premiere, there's no reason to know that the reverse is  built in. And it is not obvious as to where the command is located.

  • How do I find and include pre-existing music files on my PC?

    I'm new to iTunes and believe that I should be able to find and include pre-existing music files on my PC?
    I've found out how to show the menu bar but I can't see how to do the above except file/folder by file/folder.

    Hello there, LeighCenturion.
    The following Knowledge Base article provides instruction on how to add content from your computer to iTunes:
    Adding music and other content to iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1473#2
    Specifically:
    Adding content on your computer to iTunes
    iTunes helps you add digital audio and video files on your computer directly to your iTunes library. You can add audio files that are in AAC, MP3, WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless, or Audible.com (.aa) format. If you have unprotected WMA content, iTunes for Windows can convert these files to one of these formats. You can also add video content in QuickTime or MPEG-4 format to iTunes. To learn how to add these files to iTunes follow the steps below.
    Open iTunes
    From the File menu, choose one of the following choices:
    MacAdd to Library
    Windows
    Add File to Library
    Add Folder to Library
    Navigate to and select the file or folder that you want to add
    If iTunes is set to "Copy files to the iTunes Music folder when adding to library," iTunes will copy all content that is added to the iTunes library to the iTunes Music folder. To adjust this setting or change the location of this folder, go to the Advanced tab in iTunes Preferences.
    Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • Trouble importing pre-existing videos on my computer into iTunes?

    I'm having trouble importing pre-existing videos on my computer into my iTunes library? For example, I've tried adding a home video and opening it with iTunes, etc, and no error comes up or anything, it just doesn't show up in my iTunes library, not in the music, TV, Movies, Podcasts or Radio. What is the problem, does the video need to be converted to a suitable format? If so, what is this and how do I do this? I'm a new iTunes and iPod user so I would really appreciate any solutions or advice to this problem.

    ARG!! me too! I have Widnows Vista as well!! PLEASE!!!! if you EVER find out how to fix this... tell me! I have a video I downloaded from You Tube and it's in the ".flv" format! Apple reads .MP4 along with many others... but this might be a type it doesn't support! so if you ever found out how to fix this.... TELL MEEEE!!!!

  • Importing existing classes loses package identity in 9.0.2

    I have tried several ways, but everytime I import existing classes, they all go to Miscellaneous Files and won't display under their packages. This is from disk or from source code control (CVS). This works fine with the same exact classes and directories under JDeveloper 3.1.1. It seems simple, but it is frustrating. Any suggestions?

    Hi,
    This is normally because the Source Path setting (under Common->Input Paths in project settings) is not set to the correct directory. You should get a prompt asking if you want to add the correct path to the source path when adding files to a project.
    Thanks,

  • Add new annotation to existing class

    Say I wrote my own annotation type:
    @Target(ElementType.TYPE)
    @Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME)
    public @interface  MyAnnotations {
         boolean isHappy() default false;
    }I can now annotate my own classes:
    @MyAnnotations(isHappy = true)
    class MyClass  {
    }However, how do I annotate classes in runtime that I couldn't annotate in source code? I don't want to change any annotation object, I want to add one to existing class. Is it possible?
    Thanks for help!

    emekadavid wrote:
    I don't think this is possible because at runtime, the binary representation of the classes have already been established by the java compiler. At runtime, the virtual machine loads the classes and then links the symbolic references as established beforehand, this loading and linking mechanism I believe makes it impossible for you to add any binary type to a class. It would be a dreadful security leak.um, i don't know how you would go about adding annotations to classes at runtime (the OP), but i do know that the jvm allows you to unload/reload or otherwise muck with classes at runtime (although within the bounds of the current security manager of course). there are variety of java packages for building or otherwise altering classes at runtime. one random link [http://jakarta.apache.org/bcel/] (no association with the project, just one i know of off hand.

  • Importing pre-existing source tree... how?

    I am working with a group on some projects making heavy use of struts, ant, jUnit, xdoclet, and some other stuff. They have avoided tying their project to any one IDE.
    I want to use JDeveloper, which I'm fairly new to, but when I try to import pre-existing source jdev rearranges everything in the project navigation window to suit its preferred source tree structure.
    This doesn't work at all with this project.
    Is there any way I can get jDeveloper to respect/display the pre-existing source tree structure? It looks a little something like this...
    /web
    /src
    /config
    /test
    /build
    /........etc....
    We already have very complex ant scripts to handle everything, and it's hard to logically hunt down some of the files needed in a given situation without the tree.

  • How can I build an existed project into eclipse IDE?

    Hello, all,
    I did not use eclipse IDE before. Someone gave me an completed directory which
    was a project (including all classes and source code) built by eclipse IDE. I
    want to rebuild it into eclipse on my computer. But eclipse only has "new" item
    to generate new project, class, etc. How can I rebuild the exist project in
    eclipse IDE?
    I appreciate your help or any suggestion!
    Thanks
    John

    Easiest way:
    Copy the folder into the Eclipse Workspace folder
    Create the "new" project with the same name as that folder.
    Eclipse should detect an existing project with the same name, inform you of this, and proceed from there.
