Hi, I need to be able to add an auto generated reference number to specific forms.

If you’re a form author, you will seeing the auto-generated a reference numbers in response table, along with add rows manually or submitted responses. but these reference numbers is unable to copy. you might be copy a reference numbers from excel , and paste them to your specific forms or tables.

In the master page i have a header witht he formname and a logo and in the footer I have page number and a text field binded with the interface field to display the reference number. Form has one page ,but at run time when in some condition data may flow to next page . Now Problem is on the second page evrything come fine header, data in the content area and the fotter. but In the footer the value of the text edit fields that is mapped to reference number is not coming as it is in the first page.

header info seems to be static, so no probs while displaying in the second page.

is your interface field that is binded a simple string field which can occur only once, or is it a part of multi occuring structure like table.

the problem seems to be in the binding of the text-field to the corresponding reference number coming from the interface-context. for the text-field in the footer, verify: Object -> Binding -> Default Binding, make sure it does not contain any * in it.
other check could be, you can apply some coloured border to the text-field in footer of master pages, and ensure the rectangle atleast visible in both pages

Adding a refernce number to a form

I have a form on my website which acts as a questionanire. As
the data is purely qualitative I've not set it up to insert the
data into a databse, only to forward it via a formail page to my
email address. I would however like to add sequential reference
number to every form. It's all set up in PHP with a MYSQL databse
tie dinto oter parts of the site, so I could use a table to hold
teh reference number if necessary, although I don't really need the
number for anything more than to distinguish one email from another
when they're piled up onmy desk.
My guess is that I need to ctreate a table to hold the number
then use that number as a hidden field which will be submitted with
the form then somehow (and this is the bit I'm not sure about) add
1 to the refence number in the databse table when the submit button
is clicked.
Can anyone suggest a better way or help me with the code to
add to the submit button which will increment the database number?

visitors.
No need to create a database table just to get a unique id.
Unfortunately I'm a ASP developer so can't help with PHP, but
I'm sure there
are plenty out there.
Just append the counter variable to your e-mail and you're
done.

Adding forms from Forms Central
How do I add a form created in Forms Central to Adobe Muse Website?
You may embed forms into any html pages and here are the steps:
1. After you have designed a form, go to its Distribute tab
2. Click on Embed button
3. Open the form upon prompt
4. in Embed Options dialog, click on Copy to copy the html snippets

Problems importing PDF file to Forms Central
I am trying to import a PDF file to Form Central, last week the file imported fine, we had to make some corections, and now when I try to import the file I get this response
FormsCentral could not import the PDF form because it has more than 500 form fields.
can someone enlighten me on this, I did not add any more fields, I just adjusted the tabs and labeled the form fields.
Thanks NewThanks Josh...that's what I ended-up having to do. The problem is this will now produce two separate responses. I now have to devise a way to track/connect submissions from part A & part B (i.e, by adding a reference ID to both forms), otherwise we wouldn't know which data applies to which responses - considering the applications will now be submitted at different times vs as a whole. Just another setback with Form Central.
The other issue is with Form Central reordering certain fields in the Response table. My field names and tab order set in Acrobat are 100% in sequence - in terms of the names in the tab order panel matching the actual placement of the fields on the page. When I upload/import the PDF to Form Central, certain fields are placed out of order and I have to scroll through "miles" of headers just to find the misplaced field to manually reorder it. Is there any progress in having this issue resolved in Form Central? I have no idea what Form Central is reading when it imports the PDF, because it doesn't appear to looking at the form structure in terms of the tab order.
Also, will the 500 field max ever get increased?
i think Form Central offers a good solution for being able to submit data but these quirks are casting a shadow on the brand. -

Is there anyone on here that can assist in my purchase of form central. I really need this product urgently but have been trying for 2 days to purchase. I spent an hour on the phone with someone that sounded like they were in a noisy beach hut somewhere who seemed to think that it was my inability to use the site and took me through it step by step to get the same result, she then said OH, our servers are down, you can use the site for free and come back in 4 hours and they will be working - -NOT!.
I assume Adobe actually employs someone somewhere that can help, certainly phone sales weren't interested and the phone number that came up on the dialogue box didn't connect anywhereHi;

How do I add a functional "submit button" to a pdf form in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI ? I created the pdf form in Adobe Forms Central. It's for an online Diet Questionnaire. After people complete the form I'd like them to click "SUBMIT" and the completed form will be emailed to me.
This can be a bit confusing because Acrobat 11 comes with the desktop app that allows you to create simple PDF forms without having a FormsCentral account. Some people find this helpful, but you need to understand that when you generate the PDF form, it is Reader-enabled by Acrobat. In order to edit the form further in Acrobat, you have to create a non-enabled copy of the form. You do this in Acrobat by opening the form and selecting: File > Save a Copy
and opening the copy. It is not opened automatically.
You can now add a button and set it up to submit by email, either using a "Submit a form" action or the submitForm JavaScript method. You can set it up to include just the form data or the entire PDF, and will want to use a mailto type URL. Submitting the form to the FormsCentral server has a number of important advantages over email (much more reliable, more secure, etc.), so you might want to consider it.
If the form needs to be saved with Reader versions prior to 11, then you will need to Reader-enable the document. In Acrobat 11 you do this by selecting: File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools -
What to do if you lost apple claim reference number for downloading Mountain Lion
Okay, So I just registered my Macbook pro for Apple's Up-to-date program that lets you upgrade to mountain lion if you bought a Mac starting june 11.. So i registered my macbook pro and i forgot to copy the Claim reference number that they give you.. What do you all suggest i do?

I am new to adobe and new to forums altogether, so I apologize in advance for any errors and difficulties. I have installed the trial version of adobe acobat XI pro and have created a form in form central. Initially I saved a test form as a pdf and emailed it to myself. When I opened the file on my iphone using reader was able to fill in the fields using my iphone's dictation. I have since added additional fields and customized the form, but now I am unable to utilize the dictation feature on my iphone to fill in the fields.... HELP!

Get CMdetails based on Reference Number

I am developing Credit Memo Details report, here user wants all the details including Acct Docu Number based on Reference number.
The report is working fine if the Credit memo has account docu number, but now user wants this report to work if Cmemo does not have ACCtDocuNum also.

Adobe Forms Central Automatically Sort Responses
Hello,
I am relitivly new to Forms Central and was hoping to get help with the responce table.
I was hoping to set it up so that new resonces come in as the next line number, so that the first resonce was line 1, the second line 2, third line 3, and so on.
RIght now, new responces come in an push everything else down, changing the line number it was before the new responce came in.
Basically, I want it to "sort from oldest to newest" Automatically. Is there a way to do this so that I don't have to tell it to every time I log in?

I've inspected your form and there is indeed a bug on our side that is preventing the form from opening. While it will take a few days to fix the underlying bug, one of my colleagues is going to manually fix your document so that you can open it. As it's a non-trivial manual process to fix the document we were just going to do the first one (*w8D2jaFehMI2LPf3x29HA). Or do you need both? We'll report back here as soon as we're done.

Columns' positions do not match in pdf form compared to the "View Response" tab in Form Central
I think I understand why this happened. And I am loookng for workarounds.
For example, let's say in the beginning you have five fields (A, B, C, D, E) in your form. Later on, you decided that you need to add two more fields says A1, and C1, and now the fields are as follow A, A1, B, C, C1, D, E. After you submitted the form to Adobe Form Central, you take a look at the "View Responses" tab, and you realize the order of the columns are as follow A, B, C, D, E, A1, C1.
I believe this happened because the new fields A1, and C1 were added later. But I am wondering what are the workarounds?
Thanks in advance.Yes, it does work in Acrobat Reader. I'm just trying to determine if this is a recent bug in Tiger (like maybe because of the 10.4.9 update) or if it's something related to the particular version of Acrobat the file was created in.
I haven't had to have Acrobat Reader on any of my Mac's since Jaguar. -
Responses for Imported Form are not showing in Forms Central but in Tracker?
I imported pdf fillable form. Added Submit button to lower right. Changed Form State to Open in Distribute tab. Then Saved Submission Enabled PDF. I then Downloaded the PDF to my computer. I went to the PDF saved on my computer and Distributed the form using the Distribute command on Forms menu. Responses are showing in Tracker but not on Forms Central. Anyone know why?

That broke the file. That Acrobat distribute feature pre-dates FormsCentral and will break our workflow.
You can distribute the form anyway you want - you do not need to use Acrobat. Just send an email or post to the web yourself.
