Adding a submenu

I have this piece of code:
<tr>
<td width="165"><a href="javascript:;" class="navText" onclick="MM_goToURL('parent','announcements.html');return document.MM_returnValue">
Announcements</a></td>
        </tr>
does anyone know where in this code I can add a submeu for two other links to another page?
any help with be greatly appreciated.
thanks

It appears that you may be working in a page based on Frames. Can you post your page online for us to look at?
Regarding a submenu, I would suggest putting in a Spry Menu Bar with only one item and several submenu items. It would be pretty easy, if you are working in Dreamweaver CS4.

  • How to add a submenu to the Stamp tool button?

    Hi,
    I'm a developer who wants to create a plugin for Acrobat X. I don't have any experience with the Adobe SDK, but I did read the plugin developers guide.
    I have several questions about adding a submenu to Comment->Annotations->Stamp tool.
    1. Is it possible, because here http://blogs.adobe.com/pdfdevjunkie/what-developers-need-to-know-about-acrobat-x it states the entire commenting pane is inaccessible?
    2. If it's possible, then what are the internal names of the Annotations toolbar and the Stamp tool button?
    Can any of you help me with this?

    As stated in #1, that remains true.
    You would be better served to create your own Stamp menu.  That's what a number of developers have done over the years to address this requirement.

  • How to add another Chapter Page for more then 6 chapters & add right arrow?

    Hello,
    I created a project via the Magic iDVD option and it worked great and added multiple chapter pages for more then 6 chapters. Now, I manually added a submeno off of main and added 6 chapters but I need multiple pages since I have 40 chapters... I can't figure out how to add another chapter page and create a RIGHT ARROW navigation button for the next pages...
    I also looked at the map view and see that on the working pages there is page connected to page... I also cannot find a way to add a page connected vi map view...
    I have searched the forum but none of the answers were clear on how to do this... any help would be appreciated...
    Thanks! T.

    Adding the submenu is easy...making the button for it a "right arrow" is not.
    You can keep adding submenus to other submemus by navigating to the appropriate menu and then choose the "add submenu" command from the iDVD project menu. This can be done in either normal or map view.
    However, this creates a "folder" button, (or other things in some themes) not a right arrow. I agree it should be a choice! My 2nd best solution is to chage the folder button to a "text only button" and label it "More Chapters > >"
    Another solution (3rd best??) is to use command-shift-4 when you are one one of your other menus that DOES have a right arrow, and take a mini picture of the arrow. Then choose one of the oval menu buttons on the button pane, and drag this tiny picture onto the button. Re-size it to make it close to the same size as your other buttons. It will have a funny edge on it from the button style, but it will look like a right arrow.

  • How Do I Remove a menu?

    I added some menus with CS3, using javascriptm and now I can not get them to go away...
    Is there a remove command? I can not find anything in the api about remove, as a matter of fact all im using the the InDesign CS3 Scripting Guide:Javascipt, and that does not have a reference in it for menus.
    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    Actually, it’s not a menu, but submenu you can’t get rid of.
    Solution #1 – Delete preferences: launch InDesign and press Cmd + Opt + Shift + Control (on Mac) or Control + Alt + Shift (on PC) and when you see — “Delete InDesign preference files?” — choose Yes.
    Solution #2 (less drastic) – I prefer to kill submenus in JavaScript Console.
    Let’s assume that I added "Script" submenu to the Main menu and want to get rid of it.
    All I have to do is just type the following line and press Enter/Return.
    app.menus.item("$ID/Main").submenus.item("Script").remove();

  • How do I make a "Title Menu Button" that is an Arrow?

    I am using DVD 08 with iMovie 06.
    I set my chapters using iMovie 06. When I shared with iDVD 08 everything looked OK.
    I normally do six scenes however this time I wanted eight. In the past when using iDVD 08 (or iDVD 06) there is always a blue arrow in the scene selection menu that when selected would take you back to the main menu.
    For some reason I do not have the Blue arrow. I was able to create a new "Title Menu Button" but none of the options I can find is the default blue arrow.
    If iDVD defaults to the blue arrow in this location why can't I find it as one of the many choices iDVD gives for a Title Menu Button?

    Hello, Ziatron,
    I use the same, iM6 with iDVD 8.
    I am not sure I follow you. You mean that you make 6 or 8 chapter markers for this movie?
    What theme are you using? If you use a theme that places 6 scenes on a submenu, iDVD will automatically create a second submenu with the remaining 2 scenes. Each submenu has 2 arrows to allow you to go back to the previous menu, or to the next submenu, except the last submenu which has only 1 arrow to go back to the previous menu.
    If you want all 8 scenes on the first submenu, you can go to the submenu with the last 2 scenes and select them, then 'Copy' then go back to the first submenu and 'Paste' them. You may have to reposition the scene titles to accomodate the new ones. Be sure to go back once again to the submenu and delete the copied scenes. When you do that, go back to the previous submenu where all 8 scenes are, and you will see that the forward arrow to the last submenu is no longer present, since there are no longer any scenes to be in a separate submenu.
    I have made over 100 movies, each with many scenes, but I don't have any submenus that show an arrow to return to the main menu, unless there is only one submenu.
    If you want to add an entire submenu....say of extra photos/videos/etc. you can use the + button on the lower left of the iDVD screen to add. A folder will appear on the menu to which you have added the submenu, and when you open the folder, you will see the new submenu, with its return arrow.
    You can change the folder icon to just a title using the 'Buttons' tab, but you cannot create navigation arrows yourself.
    Please post back if I am missing your question.

  • Runs fine in preview, but doesn't work when burned

    I've been running into a few nagging problems on iDVD 6...
    When I preview what I've assembled in iDVD, it runs as intended -- an autoplay intro movie, then to the main menu.
    When I've burned it to DVD, it starts with the intro movie, but then goes into a submenu instead of the main menu.
    Any possible advice on what could be causing this?

    Welcome to the forums.
    In terms of a sequence, is it possible you added the submenu movie to the project before adding the movie starting from the main menu? In other words, iDVD normally plays movies in the order they are added to the project (the buttons are links to the movies which can be cut and pasted to different menus).

  • Reflection Themes have big white box in the background

    Rookie iDVD user here, and haven't been able to solve this one.
    Trying to use the 6.0 theme "Reflection Black" and it is sticking a big white square in the middle of the screen. It is behind the drop zones and I cannot figure out why it is there or how to get rid of it. It gets added to submenu screens as well. Sometimes if I start over it goes away temporarily but eventually jumps in there.
    I am seeing other oddness when switching between other themes as well, but this white box is the one I'm chiefly concerned with. Anyone else seen this? Is there a clean way to trash the non-7.0 themes and then reinstall them? Thanks.
    This is on Leopard btw.

    Code? Page link? Can't help unless we see what's going on. It might just be that your container table/div has a white background assigned to it.

  • Drop Zones linked throughout menues?

    so this is my first go at iDVD6.
    I am creating a project using "Reflection White" theme.
    I made the main menu, and added 8 pictures for the drop zones. I then added a submenu, which will be the "extras" and the image that shows up is the first image in my drop zone from the main screen. When I change that image it changes the one in the main screen. Are these inextricably linked or did I miss an option to disconnect them? If they are linked that was rather poor planing.
    If anyone has any suggestions or fixes it would be much appreciated!

    If you double click on the images in the drop zone you can see what images you dragged into it, you can change order or…
    Throw them out and replace with new ones
    I used that theme many times and it works perfectly well
    Be aware that you can add more than 8 pictures
    If you do 8 you will see them pass one at the time, but you can also drop in more in each frame and the will provide a little slightshow
    Use the trick mentioned above to control and organize it
    When adding submenus start all over and double click the pictures to get it organized
    Hope it helped

    Hi.
    I got some possible answer for U.
    For opening a page in the default browser, U can use this type of program (more informations are available at "question of the week number15"):
    import java.io.*;
    class Launch{
         public Launch()
              try{
              /* ok for windows NT */
              Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd /c start www.yahoo.com");
              /* normally ok for windows95 */
         //Runtime.getRuntime().exec("start www.yahoo.com");
         } catch (IOException exception) {
              System.out.println ( exception.getMessage());
    To change the background color (in red in this example), use :
    this.getContentPane().setBackground(Color.red);
    good luck

  • Deleting automatic pointer arrow button

    In Idvd 08 I made a dvd and added a submenu. That submenu has automatically put a return to main menu arrow. Idvd let's me, even has instructions on how-to, add my own custom button or text to do the job of that pointer. It does not tell me how to remove the pointer.
    I only have two menus that flip between each other so it is non intuitive for these two buttons to not match. also their button does not let me use a push to get back to the screen which is unappealing

    Hello Wendyfromrh,
    sounds weired ! The way you describe it it correct thats the way you delete a suggested user.
    Seems that you do something different or it would work.
    You could try to use the build in apple mail and see if the Backspace key works there.
    If not you know there might be something wrong with the key. But it is more likely that you are doing things different that expected.
    Just for confirmation it correct that the Backspace key has only a arrow to the left on it.
    Just some workarounds till you solved the keyproblem: if you keep typing letter of the correct email, the system will recognize that that is not the email address you wanted and will show the right one.
    So if you have for example two Alexanders but one Smith and the other Miller and you type Alexander it will show miller first (also Smith) as second option but if you do hit return will you the first one  if you keep typing till you get to S of Smith it will only show the email address of Smith and you can select it by hitting return.
    I hope it helps.

  • Too many menus

    on accident i added a menu and ontop of that, i added a submenu (thinking this one is my main menu--the first thing you see when you insert the dvd). however, now i've created a whole slideshow under my submenu, but i want to get rid of the first menu and just have my submenu be my main menu. the slideshow will be delteted if i erase my submenu. is this too confusing? help!

    I'm way too far into the project to start over. Is there anyway I can save my slideshow submenu and import it into a new project?

  • Adding a Link to a submenu

    I have been trying to add a new link to a submenu in the Oracle Portal. I can not choose, select, or delete the "users" or "groups" that I need. When I click the '+' the security section contains the groups that I believe are defaults from the submenu. Do you have any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong or how to proceed?

    having the exact same problem and its driving me crazy! Any solutions?

  • Problem adding music to submenu

    I am using the Baby Mobile theme from the 5.0 themes options and although I'm able to add a new song to the main menu, a different song will not play during the submenu (movie scene selections). The menu info button does show the song track, yet it's not playing. I tried single layer and double layer to make sure it wasn't a space issue and neither work. Thoughts? Thanks.

    Hi
    Should be OK for standard 4x3 TV-video DV material. My minimum is 25Gb for this
    and my guess is about 4 times more for full HD material.
    What kind of audio file did You drop inti iDVD ?
    • .aiff, .mp3 or from iTunes
    I ONLY use .aiff 16-bit 48kHz and convert everything else to this first.
    (iTunes - Make an Audio-CD .aiff first and use audiofrom this)
