Adding calendar to web page

Hi
I need to add a calendar to an existing website, so that
someone could add events to certain days (it's actually for hall
bookings), so that anyone visiting the site could see which days
were free and which events were happening on which days in that
month.
Does anyone know of any 'off the shelf' packages that I could
use for this?

Is it possible to embedded your iCal calendars in web pages (either a .mac page or a privately owned page)?

You can publish calendars live to both .mac and webdav enabled private servers.
It becomes difficult to place other content on the same page.

I can't see the iViews or jpegs which I added into the Web Page with WPC

I'm using Netweaver 2004's.
I created a Web Page in the Web Page Composer and in the Site Navigation a Navigation Node to this Web Page.
Then I added a jpg and an iView to this webpage.But I can't see this iView or this jpeg if i open the Web Page.
I'm superadministrator and i have the rights to watch this page
But if i click "Edit Page" i can see everything.
What can be wrong ?

I think Ursula is on the right track here.
I was having the same issue (not seeing iviews in the page - even in edit mode).
I think the solution (somehow) is configuring the initial permissions in the Security Zones.
The only problem is that the documentation is incorrect. The correction is in an SAP Note.
Below is the configuration (correction is bolded!):
Documentation says:
Defining Permissions for Security Zones
1. Navigate to Security Zones → com.sap.nw.wpc → <b>wpc (not pagebuilder!).</b> (The documenation says com.sap.nw.pagebuilder. This is incorrect!)
2. Define permissions for Web site owners and, if necessary, for authors.
a. From the context menu of the medium_safety folder, choose Open Permissions.
b. Give the wpc_editor_role role - or a user group - the permission End User.
You can leave the default entry for the Administrator column as None.
c. Choose Reset Child Permissions.
d. Choose Save.
3. Define permissions for users.
a. From the context menu of the no_safety folder, choose Open Permissions.
b. Give the everyone group - or another user group - the permission End User.
You can leave the default entry for the Administrator column as None.
c. Choose Reset Child Permissions.
d. Choose Save.
I made this change, and now I can see iviews in the page. I won't swear this is the solution, but that is the only change I have made lately.

BTW - this <u><b><i>corrected</i></b></u> setting of the security zones corrected other problems I was having. Before I did this, a user with the WPC role - but not super admin - could not edit pages from the published page (the Edit Page link at the top of the page in runtime). Now the user can.

ICal calendar on web page.

Hello, all.
I am working on a web site and would like to have an iCal calendar I have created for this website displayed on one of its web pages. I have seen something similar done with Google Calendar. The pages displayed Google's calendar one month at a time with arrows on both the left and right sides so that users could browse through the different months.
Is there a way to do this with iCal ? Can I embed a calendar or perhaps a link to an iCal so that my web page will display it in a similar fashion ? In case it is possible how would I control its size and position on the page ?
In case the information is relevant I am using iWeb to design the site but can also edit the html page created by iWeb with Dreamweaver if necessary to include any code required for this to work.

I did managed to publish mine in the 'old days' using the snippet and some html text - now with then new ical, I can't seem to be able to repeat this.
The old way, I could obtain a web address for the selected published ical and then I would use the following html snippet (on iWeb):
<iframe src="http://ical.me.com/YOURDOTMENAME/CALENDARNAME" width="750" frameborder="1" height="1100"></iframe>
"750" and "1100" being the width of the frames...
Now it does not work anymore as I can't obtain the 'web address if the shared calendar - only an ics file is available...
If anyone has resolved this, please let us know!

Gettin a portal runtime error when adding iviews in web page composer

The site is old, so it's actually built in GoLive (I'm now using Dreamweaver), but is static html, so adding standalone programs should not be a problem.

If you are an iCal user (or your client is) there are also methods to publish your iCal online.
EDIT: clarification - The above comments are not meant to be related. webcalendar does have some limited iCal integration but my last comment meant to indicate that there are other programs and services that support iCal publishing (such as .Mac/MobileMe, or some free alternatives).

I need to upload some movies to a website and I have an
extremely tight budget. The files are currently in
.flv format.
I have Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 and do not have the
Macromedia 8 Flash Video Kit where you select Insert >
Media > Flash Video...you could then customise the properties
and make a pretty funky video.
I have realised that you have to pay for this extension to
add it to Macromedia MX 2004.
I created a temporary video with
FLV soft but this
displays a logo due to the fact that it's a trial edition. I could
pay for the license ($69) or the extension for Macromedia
Dreamweaver?
Or even better, do you guys have another option how to create a
pretty nifty flash video in HTML.

Need immi. help - Multiple JRE running 4 diff applet tag in diff web pages

Im facing a weird scenario after installing JRE7, Please help me to resolve the issue.
This is the scenario, in our application we have applets tags added in multiple web pages. for eg . in page 1, I have added an applet tag with some supporting jars,
in page 2, I have added another applet tag with some supporting jars (completely different from the one added in page 1).
similarly in page 3, complete different set of jars added.
I enabled to show Java console in java control panel
When I load page 1, I get a java console popup, loading page 2 shows another java console.
each represents its own applet tag.
Not sure is there any limitation of opening number of jre from one single browser tab._
Because when I load page 3 with different applet tag my browser hangs & other 2 java console also hangs_
But its not the case in Jre 6,
In jre 6 I get only one console_, & when try to dump the list I get all the jars in the same console.

If it's what I think it is, it is pointless if not counterproductive to disclose your time management problems here. They are your own to deal with, not anybody else's.
However I have Web pages with three applets on them, and they all work OK in both Java 6 and 7.

How to Share an iCloud Calendar as a web page viewable by public?

I need to give various (ie non apple) people access to some of my Calendars as a Web Page that they can view.
I can see that I can share a webcal: link but this is not what I want as I can't rely on other people having a Calendar app to use to Subscribe to this - I need to be able just send people a link to a Web Hosted Calendar.
It does not look like you can just share a web view of your iCloud Calendar to the public - which seems to me to be the nicest option so I guess it may involve syncing your iCloud Calendar with a Google account calendar and then sharing this Google Calendar publicly...

In order to do this you need to be able to upload your calendar to a CalDAV server: unfortunately these are thin on the ground. Apple rather assume that you are going to run your own server, but I can't imagine you want to get into that.
Box.net were claiming that they offered this service, but there were complaints that it didn't work. I don't know about any others - I can only suggest you try Googling for CalDAV servers.
Otherwise it's a matter of sharing the calendar publicly and people having to subscribe - they can do this in iCal on a Mac - I don't know about Outlook on a PC but I would have thought it was possible.

Event invitations not published to .mac web page with rest of calendar

I've published a calendar to the .mac web server successfully, and the web page for the named calendar shows up fine in browsers at the appropriate URL.
However, when I receive an invitation from somebody else, and accept it, and put it into that (published) calendar, that event does NOT get published to the web page. Any idea why?
Example
- Joe uses Google Calendar to invite me to a meeting
- Google calendar sends me a .ics file in email
- I open the .ics file (click in Apple Mail, which launches iCal)
- I view the invitation in iCal; then change the status to "Accepted" (from Invited), and change the Calendar for this event to the Calendar I've published on .mac
- (iCal properly notifies Joe via a reply .ics via email that I've accepted)
- iCal is properly updating my schedule on .mac for all other events besides this meeting invitation; but the meeting invitation does not get pushed to the .mac web page for my calendar
Item of note: In this use case, I am NOT the event Organizer; somebody else is. Is this why iCal doesn't do it? Or is there something I'm not setting correctly in iCal? Or...?
This renders .mac-web-published calendars effectively useless, since a good share of my calendar is made up of people who email me .ics invitations, and (for various reasons) the person who manages my schedule has to use the .mac web UI for my calendar to know when she can dish out my time. (She doesn't actually put things in my schedule; just allots time.)

Web page breaks when adding utility JARs to my EAR

Hi All,
I am creating a Web Application (.war) that runs some java code and has some JSP web pages to control the code/display results (as a dashboard sort of thing). I have then put this .war file in an enterprise app (.ear file - I have done this as there is other functionality that I want to roll in to the application).
I have been building this in Rational Software Architect and imported the required utility .jar files into the .war project, however when this is built the utility .jars are not included in the exported .ear file (the jsp dashboard pages still display correctly - it just means that the java code cant be run).
To ensure that the utility jar files are included in the exported .ear file I the added the utility jars in to the main .ear project and referenced them from the web app project - this compiles fine - however, when i then view the jsp pages they are now showing blank!
Any ideas as to what might be the problem or why my jsp pages are not showing up once I have added the dependent utility jars in to the ear file?

Don't use layers, use tables. Outlook doesn't render with the
Internet Explorer engine (since Outlook 2007 at least). You also
can't use padding, background images, external CSS styles, and
dozens of other things. You also need to provide a full path to the
images in the newsletter.
In short, it's NOTHING like designing for a browser.

Publish Multiple Resource Calendars Superimposed To A Web Page

Hi, I'm hoping you can assist.
I have succeeded in publishing a resource calendar to a web page hosted on Exchange 2013.
In the Outlook web client it is possible for a user to view multiple resource/room calendars superimposed.
My question is; Is it possible to achieve this view in a single published web page?

Firstly, I would like to know how did you publish the resource calendar to a web page hosted on Exchange 2013.
On Exchange, the free/busy data are stored on the users mailbox. Generally, Exchange uses EWS service to retrieve the free/busy data.

Embed SharePoint Calendar to External Web Page

I would like to embed a SharePoint Calendar to an external public web page. This is very easy to do with google calendars and I have been struggling trying to find a solution in SharePoint.

The client side object model could do this in combo with a SPQuery. Microsoft has extended SharePoint 2010 to include lots of JavaScript connectors. They have also opened the ablility to include the JavaScript Libraries in External Applications. The
thread which would be returned from SharePoint would be in JSON format. Here is a blog post overview this ability.

The DLL's behind this from MS allow access to almost any object inside SharePoint. Microsoft has opened the ability to place these in external applications, they are
Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.DLL and Microsoft.SharePoint.CLient.Runtime.dll you can find these on your SharePoint Server at c:\Programs files\common files\Microsoft Shared\WEb Server Extensions\14\isapi folder.

If you have done dev work on SharePoint you have used SPListItem which allows that access of list (calendars are lists). In the client side object model you ListItem from with JavaScript.
Working with the list data.
As I noted before, the ListItem is the same this as SPListItem. You reference an existing ListItem as a member of a ListItemCollection object.

Netbeans 6.0 web page Error adding data to mySQL table - date datatype

Netbeans 6.0 web page, trying to add data into a mySQL table. The table has a datetime datatype. The add does not work when trying to add a record. I have no problems when I add a record to a table without a date datatype. Here is my code.

Adding Flash Video to web page

Hi Everyone,
I have a web page that I have added a flash video to using
the insert flash video option in Dreamweaver. I uploaded all the
files including the additional files that are created when you use
that option and when I try to get to the video file once I have
uploaded it will not play. If I use a link directly to the .swf
then it will play but the link to the page where the video is
inserted just shows a blank page. Can anyone give me any guidance
on how I can get this to work.
P.S. If I preview it from my desktop before uploading to the
website it works fine.
