Adding field to existing report

How can we add a new field to the Query for a report?

Can please someone share, for adding new field to the SAP Query, should we change the infoset or query?
For detailed question please see below:
via Tcode SQ01, I tried to modified Infoset, by right click, I added missing field on the right hand side of the screen, hit saved. Then it asked me do you want to generate infoset, clicked "Yes".
Then I got these Yellow errors:
Identification of Text Fields
Text Field for P0210 u2013 FRMNR could not be identified any longer
Text Field for P0315-EBELN changed:
Reference Field in DDIC: EKKO-DESCRIPTION

I am not sure, if I needed to change infoset/Query, please advise.

Adding field in standard report

Hi,
I have copied the standard table RM07MLBD(T-code MB5B) into Z-Report. Now, i have to add a field LSMNG into the list output of the report.
How to do that.?

But what if the required fields are not available in the standard prog then I think we have to check for either enhancement spots or copy the standard prog.Thanks again for making us aware of this INCLUDE and its functionality

RM07MLBD_CUST_FIELDS is already having LSMNG fields which needs to be uncommented.Fyi,documentation of this include is as follows
* This include contains the structure for additional fields for report
* RM07MLBD ( transaction MB5B )
* the following fields are not shown in the list of report
* RM07MLBD
* If you want to insert some of these fields in the list of the
* hidden fields delete the '*' in the type definition.

Adding field to SARP report

Dear Readers,
I am required to download the data from a report which is currently available in the Tcode SARP. Can you please suggest me as to how can i modify the report which is present in the Tcode SARP to add the functionality of downloading the data onto the presentation server in CSV format. Also, can you please let me know if the reports in Tcode SARP can be modified and be added with our own piece of code & functionalilty. Please suggest.

SAPMSERP is the report which drvies transaction SARP. You have to make a Zcopy of it & modify according to your requirement.
Also it contains certain Includes as below :-

Adding field in the standard report

i have added the one field in the standard transaction VL06 , in the outboud deliveries report according to the Note 605460. I have to add the field in LIPOV structure.
after adding that field(include structure), in output i am not getting that added field.

I have the same problem. I have added the field in the field catalog and the field in the final internal table also.
But sometimes its displayed and sometime not.

Adding new column in an existing report which was build using Union

While working in OBIEE 11g I encounter an issue.
My existing report was build using UNION at Criteria Tab in Analysis. Now I have a requirement to add a new column into the same report. For each criteria I have added the new column but when I go back to the "Result Columns". I see a new field added but it is not allowing me to open or edit column properties for that new column & at the same time it is not allowing me to navigate to other tabs like Results, Promts, and Advanced.
I don’t want to build this report from scratch. Is there any workaround to get it resolved?

Just check it once the new added column data types are mismatched or not?
and the new added column should be navigated into excluded section, so u should edit the report and dragged into the table column section.

How Do I add new fields to Repeating Frames in existing Report

Hi,
How do I add new fields to Repeating Frames in existing Report. The Report has 2 GRPFR, 1 HDR and 2 Repeating Frames. I would like to add a new field(column) to inner most repeating frame. I added the new golumn to QUERY and GROUPs in Data Model. After adding the new column to inner most Repeating Frame in Layout Model, the Layout model is losing all other frame and it is showing only the modified one.
How do I add new column to repeating frames without disturbeing other frames.
Any hellp will be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!.

expand your repeating frames do it more big
for add your new items or field. after you inserted or add, can you put more little your repeating.
too can you to do one copy of one field in your repeating frame and assign it in his source your new item in your data model.
normally i begin with the principal frame and go one by one internally.

Column Headings in the report and adding an extra field to the report

Hi All.
I had an issue like i need to put column headings for a report and I want to add an extra field to the report.
The problem here is that the report was actually cloned from a Query.At the time of cloning,they forgot to add the column headings.
Now we need to add the column headings for the same.How can we proceed for this and where we need to add our code?

Hi,
you can get this done in 2 ways:
1 - Change the query to add another column and the re-generate the report
2 - If changing query is not possible, you can change the report it self for adding extra field. If you look at the code, it will be more like normal ABAP code. you can easily modify it (If you are ABAPer) for your additional requirements.

Added field to dataset not showing on report

I have a report with multiple datasets for an existing report. I am adding a field to one of these datasets (Monthly Summary) titled BonusYTD. When I run the sp in the SSRS query designer it shows that the field BonusYTD is populated but when
I place the field in the table it shows nothing. I have checked the textbox to see if it had an hidden properties and even went to a different textbox that was displaying data and changed the field to BonusYTD and it still didn't show up. I checked
my connection to ensure I was previewing the report on the correct development server and refreshed the fields again in the dataset. I am not understanding why the field BonusYTD is showing up in the list of available fields for this dataset yet the
textbox that I put it in is not displaying any data. Please help.

Normally when we preview a report the data for the report is cached to a file on the local computer.
When we preview the report again using the same query, parameters, and credentials,
Report Designer retrieves the cached copy rather than running the query. The data file is normally
saved as <yourreportname>.rdl.data in the directory as the report definition file save.
Normally the cached file doesn’t work once we modify the query. At this time,
I can suggest that you please delete the cached .rdl.data file and then check the problem again.

Adding field in Report Painter

Hello Gurus,
I am working in the Report Painter PR20-001.
My requirement is to add a new column in the output of the report but even when i am able to add a new field and save it on the reports execution i am unable to view the added field in the output.
Kindly tell me the entire procedure to add a new field in the output of the respective report painter output.

Hi,
Go to Global Parameters Definitaion in report painter, variable will be used only along with the field, just in global paramerters enter your desired field and click in next column, system will show you a pop up select your variable for that field...
now its just done run the report and test it!
If you still not make it refer to standard report of such kind, you will surely get it....

Adding a new parameter to the existing report in GL(GLRTR1.rdf)

I was new to this oracle Forums and i am working as a oracle apps technical consultant, i have been assigned a task in GL module to customise the existing report in GL the report name is "GLRTR1.rdf" (available in vision-demo) and its concurrent program name is "Trial Balance Summary-1" this program has the predefined parameters like:
(Parameter Name : Values to be entered/as u wish)
Pagebreak Segment : Company
Pagebreak Segment Low :01
Pagebreak Segment High:01
Currency :USD
Period Name :feb-2003
Amount Type :PTD(Period to Date)
user-parameters to be added to above parameterlist
costcenterfrom :segment2 value of (GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS table)
costcenterto : -- do---
Now what i want is i want to add a user parameter to this concurrent program like costcenterfrom and costcenterto these are optional parameters and the its value set type is TABLE and i want to display value is SEGMENT2.
when i select the parameters along with predefined and costcenterfrom and costcenter to the report output should be between the costcenter from and costcenterto along with predefined values,
and if i am not giving any value to the costcenterfrom and costcenterto parameters then the report out put should be based on the above parameters ie predefined parameters only.
i think u haveunderstoood the requirement and does any one please tell me know the solution for my problem its very urgent.
i will be very greatful to them.

Hi,
Please check whether the auth object is switched on for the info-provider or not. By default its switched on if the info-object is part of the info-provider.
To switch it on again, enter the info-provider name in the section 'Checks For Info-provider'. Click on pencil button to enter into change mode and select your auth object.

Implications of adding new key fields to existing table

Hi All,
I have searched forum regarding this. But didn't find exact answer.
We are planning to add new key fields to existing Ztable. I want to know the implications of this.
I have checked the where used list of table and found no impact. Only one point is making me to think again and again.
If we add key fields to existing table then we have to adjust the table from SE14 to activate it. But this adjustment doesn't ask for TR.
So if i release my TR, entries in other systems will also be adjusted accordingly??? Business is OK with the new fields values to be blank for existing entries.

Yes the data in transported systems will also be adjusted. If this table contains too much data make transport at late hours because it will take long and table can't be used while it's adjusted. In this adjustment process data is copied to a temporary table and moved back to original table using move-corresponding command after key added. There will data loss if you remove a key or key fields field length but in your case it shouldn't be a problem.

Error message in WebGUI after adding fields with EEWB - Class doesn't exist

After adding fields to the component BT111H_OPPT within EEWB and BSP_WD_CMPWB I recieved an error message while trying to open an Opportunity in the WebGUI, stating:
Cannot display view MainWindow
An exception has occured

Has any one an idea, if this could be a bug or what went wrong? I am especially irritated, that it seems, that class was not created. After all I never changed any tables or anything in the background manually. I just used the standard tool EEWB, nothing else.

By the way, I tried to go back all the steps I took previously to, kind of "un-do" my error, but I was not able to delete all created extensions, due to a another error - but that's a different story, or isn't it?

Hello Experts,
I know my question was a tricky one and no-one was able to help me from this forum. That's why I would like to share with you the solution I just recieved from SAP:
Although all classes that were created whilst extending the component BT111H_OPPT were deleted, there still existed a seperate extension definition in ViewCluster BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT still persisted.
I wasn't aware of the fact, that I had to delete that too.
Note: in order to delete ViewCluster, use tx SM34
The problem ist now solved!
