Adding Image to Search Results
Hi
I am dire need of adding images to search results, particularly the thumb of the resulting product(s). The tags TAG_NAME and TAG_DESCRIPTION work, but TAG_SMALLIMAGE doesn't. Any help would be much appreciated.

The CSS in http://dandeliongiftshop.businesscatalyst.com/StyleSheets/ModuleStyleSheets.css is causing that overlap.
Search for the below style rule in the above CSS file and make suggested modifications:

I like to answer on postings like yours, its a good exercise for my work and its really cool to have some topics where all people here will contribute.
JohnnyS is a friend of mine which is working with me at our office and we talked a little bit about your problem.
So his opinion was to use the UBCD4Win and work with that option.
The advice of him was:
Grab a USB-HDD case and put one drive in it and boot with UBCD4Win. Then copy all important data to a folder on the external HDD and remove the uneeded data on it. Just the important data!
Make a backup of your data on the external drive from both HDDs. I hope you will have enough free space.
Format the drive in your machine and recover it. Install the system as usually on your first HDD.
Then put the data to where you want.
So I am not sure if I understanded your question right, a little bit more explanation would be useful. I think that will be a long thread. ;)

Links no longer open when viewing images in search results, why?
When viewing the results from an image search, you used to be able to click and open a link, at the bottom left of the viewed image, which took you to the origin page of the image you are viewing. When clicking those links now, it simply opens up the same image results window, but not the origin page.
Are you using Google image search?
It sounds like you have the older results style instead of the new one (where a large black section zooms into the page, with new separate buttons for the image and the site).
So that we could see what you're seeing, could you copy the URL of the results page from the address bar and paste it into a reply? For the example, please do a search for something general like puppies to avoid posting any confidential information.
More generally:
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
In case one of your extensions is involved, could you test the page in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).

Adding image to page results in permissions error, etc. when publishing in CS4
I manage dozens of sites on the same server, all managed with Contribute CS4. One such site had to be rebuilt. But now, when I add an image to a page from my computer and try to publish, it gives the following error:
Access denied. The file may not exist or there may be a permission problem.
Then, once the page returns to editing mode (since I didn't successfully Publish), the image I tried to add shows up in the Drafts Console (top left) as a separate document. When I click on it in the Drafts Console, it says:
Editing Draft in Another Application.
Strangely enough, the images are being successfully saved to the server, to an /images folder that has permission set to 777.
Still, though, Contribute won't let me add images, even directly from the server ("from website").
Does anyone have any idea what's happening? I've rebuilt the site several time, even using the original files (which worked well for years).

Are you sure you want to permanently delete your new page?
Why would it be calling an image a "page?"
And further, it says:
You are currently editing this page in .
I'm assuming that space before the period is where it would normally list the application used for editing. Something's definitely off here.
And it's not just my version of Contribute. Another editor (on another computer on another network) is also experiencing the same errors. -
SRM EBP BBP_POC adding details to search result
Hi All,
With a structure INCL_EEW_PD_SEARCH_ITM_CSF_PO I have succeeded to add some Z-fields on item level in the search screen.
Is it also possible to add more standard details? for example: account assignment.
Because in the structure, only customer fields are accepted.

In standard, CUF are passed to R/3 via a table (extensionin/out for BAPI_PO_CREATE1). So you can process them in a R/3 user-exit to map your CUF to standard or custom R/3 fields.
(exit EXIT_SAPL2012_001 for BAPI_PO_CREATE1)
(exit EXIT_SAPL2012_002 for BAPI_PO_CHANGE)
You can also use BADI BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI to map the CUF to standard R/3 fields in SRM, before sending the data to R/3.

Can't see more than 100 search results in Messenger Express 5.2
Hi,
I am experiencing some unusual problems in the Web interface, Messenger Express. One of our users has discovered that when a search is carried out against a mailbox, only the 1st 100 results appear. No navigation bars get added to the search result page, which stops you browsing through the search results.
Has anyone else noticed this, and perhaps come up with a way around it? Have I missed some important config option?

Bond UniversityJohn, I believe this was fixed in one of the many hotfixes released since the original 5.2 release. You don't indicate which version of 5.2 you're on, so. ..
I'd either open up a tech support case, and get hotfix 1.24, or at least download 5.2p1, and apply that. 5.2p1 corresponds to 5.2hf0.9, so we've come quite a ways since then. -
Google search results acting are not showing up right after FF update
So after I updated FF from 12 to 13 my Google search results have been weird whether I search from the homepage, tool bar or from Google.com. For example if I were to search " Avatar: The Last Airbender wiki" you would expect the Wikipedia page for the show to be the first result but this is what ends up showing up:

Same search yet it yields to different results and I tried it in IE and Chrome and the search is working just fine in both of those as well. The problem seems to only be when I search for something in FF normally.
If anyone can shed some light into why this is happening I would be grateful, since I prefer FF to anything else.you could try to [[Clear the cache - Delete temporary Internet files to fix common website issues|clear the cache]] & [[Delete cookies to remove the information websites have stored on your computer|cookies from google.com]] and reload the page.

Whether this issue occurred on all InfoPath form from different libraries. Please create a new form library, compare the result.
Ensure you have the "SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection features" feature activated in your site collection features for the site collection.
After this , you need to re-publish the form, checking the "Enable this form to be filled out by using a browser" checkbox when publishing the form.
Enable browser rendering of user forms by using Central Administration as the followings:
1. Verify that the user account that is performing this procedure is a member of the Farm Administrators SharePoint group.
2. In Central Administration, on the Home page, click General Application Settings.
3. On the General Application Settings page, in the InfoPath Forms Services section, click Configure InfoPath Forms Services.
4. On the Configure InfoPath Forms Services page, in the User Browser-enabled Form Templates section, select the Render form templates that are browser-enabled by users check box.
5. Click OK at the bottom of the page.

Apply Thumbnail ResourceRender to TREX Search Result
Hi Guys,
My Scenario is,
I have to show the Thumbnail images in Search Result (TREX). I indexed my image gallery folder in KM. TREX works fine.
And I Customize existing search result's ResourceRender for my need.
I want to show the Thumbnail images (left side) in search result if the result is image category.
Is it possible? any other way to solve this?

Adding Description or Content Preview to Search Result Web Part
Hello,
I am on Sharepoint Online 2013 working on an enterprise wiki site. I've added a search result web part and configured a query to return the results I want. The
Results Control Display Template is set to Default and the
Result type for item is set to Sharepoint Wiki.
Is there a way to
1) Customize the item display template to add in a description value, or show the first 'x' number of characters from the content?
2) Customize the hover display to show only the body content (instead of complete page), or increase the zoom level where the content area is shown larger?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Error while adding a 'Ext No' field to Activities Search Result List on UI

Still my issue was not resolved, could you help me to find the exact error.I have enhanced the component, view and context node, still i couldn't able to add attributes to the context node BTQRACT.I tried to add several fields, but it is giving the same error 'METHOD CL_BT126S_A_APPTSR_CTXT' CREATE_BTQRACT DOES NOT EXIST'. I have checked the OSS messages and found 2 relavant to this component. I have implemented both the Sap Notes 1363752, 1226612. Still after implementing the OSS note, i am getting the same error.My guess is one of the method is missing. Please help me out?

Low resolution of Google Image Search results in Firefox Android
I'm new to Android, and I've noticed that Firefox brings up lower resolution Google Image search results in comparison to the same image search on Chrome for Android. When I click on an image result in Firefox it gives me the option of going through a low resolution slide show of all the image results, or clicking to see a single full size image. But that takes me out of the slide show, and then I have to backtrack to continue on with the low resolution slide show.
Chrome allows you to see the full resolution images within a slide show, allowing you to swipe from one full res image to the next.
Is there a way to get a slide show of the full size image results in Firefox Android without having to jump through all the hoops to see the full size images?
So far this is the only drawback I've seen with Firefox Android. I would much rather use it vs. Chrome because of Firefox's ability to use plug ins, especially adblock plus.Perhaps I didn't write my post clearly enough. A Google image search on Chrome produces image results (via slideshow) of superior quality than an identical slideshow on Firefox. Your answer implies that Google sends higher resolution images to Chrome than it does to Firefox. I find that hard to believe.
Chrome apparently renders its Google image search slideshows using full size images, while Firefox does not. Rather than providing the full size images within a slideshow, Firefox seems to use lower resolution thumbnails, then forces you to click on a "Full-size image" button for each image that you want to see clearly. I was hoping there was a way around that.
My original question was if there was a way to increase the quality of the slideshow results in Firefox so you don't have to click on the image to open it up at full res., then backtrack to get back into the slideshow, then do the same thing all over again for each and every image you want to see clearly in full size. On Firefox you have to do all these extra steps that you don't have to do in Chrome. So, based on the answers so far I guess I guess that's just the way it is and there's no way around it. -
Safari 6 "Images" search results don't show digital storage size info anymore - Fix?
I've now noticed, finally using Safari 6 more often now .... that when doing a google subject search (and selecting the "images" results versus the "search" results at the top header bar of Safari), that Safari 6 now only shows a huge listing the images themselves. If you slide your cursor over any of the images, a small black highlight bar appears under the image and shows its pixel dimensions (as in 000 x 000 pixel dimentional size), but Safari 6 shows no digital size info of the image in kb's (kilobites) or posibly MB's (megebites) .... like it used to in the past.
On previous Safari google "image" search results you saw the images, along with their pixel dimentional size (000 x 000) and their storage size ( 00kb / 00MB) listed in small text under the image.
Is there any way to set Safari to show not only the "images" dimensions (which it now does), but also to show the images over all storge size?
I know if you use the additional "search tools" selection text, that a sub set of selector menus appears, listing "any size", "any color", Any type" Any time" All results" .... but none of these will set "images" storage sizes (kb, MB, etc.). Even using a "larger size" only selection setting doesn't always guarantee that a larger size only seach results will be of larger pixel quality.
I often use Safari and google to find "comp" art images, etc. for rough art placement on projects, and it's now almost impossible to search through Safari's google "images" results without knowing what "quality size" the image can be found at.
Any thoughts on this fix?Actually, as I forgot to mention .... is this above issue a Safari 6 or Google search result issue? I'm starting to think that it may be Google's "images" results that don't show the images storage size anymore, and possibly not Safari's problem.
Either way, is there any fix to this issue ... a plug-in, etc.? -
Adding Fields to People Search Results Page
Hi
Working in SharePoint Online, I've been able to add a few fields to the People Search results page successfully:
Organization
Office Locator
Office Location
Work Phone
Mobile Phone
Home Phone
Work Email
All of the above fields are working and display on the People search results page.
I tried to add these and they simply do not display. There is no error:
University Email
Assistant
Calendar/Scheduling
I set them up the same way. I created the Property in the User Profile area. I then populated the data for each user. I then added the property as a Managed property (search schema) linked to the Crawled property from the People category.
Made sure that they were query able, retrievable, searchable, etc. Then I edited the People Search code and then I waited over the weekend for the search to pick them up. I came into work this morning and they still do not display. Here is

According to your post, my understanding is that you have an issue about adding fields in people search results page.
Per my knowledge, there is no issue in your steps, and the issue may be related to the search crawl in SharePoint online.
For SharePoint server on-premise, we can start the search full crawl, however, for SharePoint online, we could not start the search full crawl manually.
You can wait for some time to complete the search full crawl in SharePoint online, then check whether it works.
As this is the forum for SharePoint server on-premise, I’m not familiar with the SharePoint online search crawl, for this issue, I recommend you can post a new question in the forum for Office 365/SharePoint online.

Turn a text database search result into a clickable .pdf link to specific images

This is baffling me to no end, pretty desperate at this point.
I have a successfully implemented a search and results page from my database table 'products'. The results page displays a field from this table as products, msds, datasheet, description. I would like the msds & datasheet results to be clickable links to files in my images/pdf/msds folder or the images/pdf/datasheet folder.
The links are specific filenames such as msds-product.pdf or datasheet-product.pdf.. How can I get these links to open the exact filename that comes up in my search result? I can make it open the entire folder but I want just the specific file.
I don't write code very well - thank you for any help you can provide. CindyHi Murray - Here is the exact code in DW on the results page with file names exposed in live view. I am concerned about not properly implementing this statement - where exactly should I insert?
