Adding users as contributors in change management

Hi everyone,
I am facing some issues in adding some users as contributors in change management.
The users have almost all the required privileges like
REPO.MODIFY_FOREIGN_CONTRIBUTION.
REPO.MODIFY_OWN_CONTRIBUTION.
REPO.MODIFY_CHANGE
When I click NEW CONTRIBUTOR , I am unable to see the User in the list.
Is there any other special privileges that are required. I have gone through the developer guide also to resolve the issue but couldn't find any missing privileges.

Hey:
Sorry,I don't have a document or deliverable written up to do that.  But I have found a few weblogs on related subject matter on this forum.  I would suggest you search for this.
However, I will write up a high level process for this here:
Log into your Primary Domain Controller (Non Solution Manager)
       So, if your trying to modify the routes in ECC, log into the Domain Controller of ECC
Transaction: STMS
Overview - Transport Routes (Shift + F7)
Go into Change Mode (Pencil and Glasses Icon)
You now need to modify the Transport Group for example: /QASGRP/ or /CUSGRP/
        All transport groups begin and end with the "/"
You will see two or three groups in the consolidation route (Between DEV and QAS)
You need to be careful and modify the Customizing Group.
Once completed, you will save and activate changes.
Let me know if you have any other questions

  • What is the difference between using the command "dsmgmt" and the "Managed By" tab when adding users to the local administrators Account on a Read-Only Domain Controller?

    When I use the
    "dsmgmt" command to add a user to the local administrators account of a RODC I can actually see the user when I use the "Show Role Administrators" parameter. However, I can't see the members of the
    group added to the "Managed By" tab of the RODC object in AD. Even though, the users added using
    "dsmgmt" and by the "Managed By" tab can all log in locally and have admin rights to the RODC. Are there any differences between these two ways of adding users to the local administrators account?

    Hi,
    For groups, managedBy is an administrative convenience to designate “group admins”. Whatever principal listed in
    managedBy gets permission to update a group’s membership (the actual security is updated on the group’s AD object to allow this).
    In Win2008 and later managedBy also became the way you delegated local administration on an RODC, allowing branch admins to install patches, manage shares, etc. (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755310(WS.10).aspx).
    On the RODC, this is updating the RepairAdmin registry value within RODCRoles.
    So the difference between them should be only the way they do the same thing.

  • I changed my Adobe user ID when we changed from Windows PC to Mac and now I am unable to read previously downloaded ebooks on my Sony Reader device due to Digital Rights Management.  Can I resolve this?

    I changed my Adobe user ID when we changed from Windows PC to Mac and now I am unable to read previously downloaded ebooks on my Sony Reader device due to Digital Rights Management.  Any ideas how I can get access to these now?

    Hi Blotontheland,
    Thanks for the prompt reply. The interesting thing is that my Macbook Pro was upgraded today to Yosemite and I still have the spinning wheel on the start up screen before the login page comes up.

    Dear All,
    I need to know that is there any user hook for Manager Self Service -- Change Manager function for employee.
    If yes then please give me the module name/id for the user hook.
    If no then how can I set custom validations on this page.
    Regards.

    You should look for the update assignment api.
    select * from hr_api_modules
    where module_name like '%UPDATE%ASG%'
    Depending on the legislation, you will have different modules/packages/procedures.

  • Changing the "Change Manager" User Id on a "Correction"

    Good Day;
    It seems that the user id we have been using for the Change Manager is a valid user id in our production system.
    I am able to change the user id on the Change request, but unable to change it on the correction.
    Does anyone have any thoughts on how I might be able to change the "Change Manager" user id on a "Correction"
    Regards
    Don Newton

    hi,
    The change manager has a specific role predefined by sap.
    If SAP copies from the request into the correction and changes are not possible in the correction it makes sense but if for specific internal reason you want to be able to change it you can do it via the customizing
    please follow the following path down in transaction spro
    solution manager
    configuration
    scenario specific settings
    change management
    changerequest management
    extended configuration
    change transaction
    transaction types
    Partner schema
    partner determination procedure ==> select the procedure for the correction (SDHFxxxx or Z if you customize it)
    Partner function in procedure ==> select the partner function you want to change
    click on the change button
    you can now change the flag "changeable" of the selected partner function
    I hope it helps
    best regards Xavier

  • Can't add in new users any more in Workgroup Manager

    Hello all,
    You all might remember me from my other post about problems with the server - I gave up yesterday and reformatted the hard drive, reinstalled OSX and set everything up. All worked lovely and perfect. Put in a few users, worked fine. Could log in and access my home directories - perfectly fine. All looked rosy.
    Roll on to this afternoon, I tried to add in a new user by changing to /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 in Workgroup Manager, can see the list of users, so I clicked on the padlock icon to authenticate myuself - so an username and password prompt popped up. I've got 2 admin accounts on the server - one admin and one nadmin, the former to administrate the local stuff, and nadmin for the server stuff. Put in the nadmin username and password and I got:
    The login information is not valid for this server. The server failed to accept the login information you provided. Check the Name and Password and try to log in again or contact your network administrator.
    Somewhat surprised as I logged in Workgroup Manager with the same username and password! I tried several different permuations of usernames:
    Login window: admin
    Workgroup Manager: admin
    /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1: nadmin
    and then, admin, nadmin, nadmin, then nadmin, nadmin, nadmin, then tried admin, admin, admin - and in every case I could get to Workgroup Manager but unable to authenticate to the /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 node using either admin or nadmin passwords. I've tried changing nadmin's password, and adding in a new admin user and nothing works. Even tried rebooting the server, no go. Everything still works perfectly fine, I can log in using my network username on a Mac and access my home directory fine - I just can't add in new users, delete them or change their information. Very frustrasting!
    What am I doing wrong, and what can I do to fix this problem?
    Thanks very much for your help in advance!
    Cheers - Piers

    Is the user you are trying to use to make changes with the directory admin that was created at the initial setup of your OD? Has the other user you are trying to use been granted privileges to administer the directory (under user accounts)?

  • Versioning of BPMN Process Models and Change Management

    Hi all,
    Can any of you please provide insight on how can we do the following change management activities?
    1. Version Control of BPMN Models synchronized with the change management activities
    2. In the Help documentation, two roles called Improvement Manager and Modeler were mentioned. How do we define their roles in the Administration? In User Management I see only one function privilege "Change Management" and both Improvement Manager and Modeller will have this privilege. Than how they are distinguished in their roles?
    3. Does it also support a work flow and notification mechanism?
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Best regards,
    Raja Mohan

    Hi,
    I'd just like to add some quick points that you need to consider:
    Implicit version control is not supported in the current release (10.1.3.4) but it will be supported in Release 11 (upcoming release). There are some workarounds/alternatives like attributes (Status, Since/on, Released on, Released by, Release) and external version control system combined with the XML import/export functionality (Re: Control Version
    The Change Management can be used to describe upcoming modeling tasks within the Business Process Architect. This implicates changes from IT, adding new objects, adjustments of models or control flow, etc... Especially it is suitable to document suggestions for future model improvements.
    "Does it also support a work flow and notification mechanism?"I think this might be a governance topic that has to be created on your own.
    Hope it helps,
    Danilo

  • A note on Setup Manager - Application Change Management Pack

    Hi All,
    This is Mugunthan, Development manager for iSetup and Setup Manager. I am happy to begin my note with the launch of Application Change Management Pack 3.1. For those who are not aware of Application Change Management Pack, it is a new product built on top of Oracle Enterprise Manager and comprises of three major modules namely Setup Manager, Customization Manager and Patch Manager. You can find more information about this pack here (LCM: Oracle Application Change Management Pack Setup Manager is enhanced and advanced version of iSetup on Oracle Enterprise Manager. There were good amount of reasons to re-architect iSetup on Oracle Enterprise Manager as Setup Manager.
    Why Setup Manager?
    Ability to migrate to data over point releases of EBS – EBS comes up with rollup patches on top of major releases periodically. It means that you have to certify the patch before it get deployed on to production which means that setup data are to be certified again. iSetup cannot connect between 12.0.4 to 12.0.6 or 12.0.6 to 12.1.1. We have achieved the data migration for above scenarios in Setup Manager (11i to R12 is not supported in Setup Manager)
    Projects – Setup Manager supports grouping of Extracts, Transforms, Loads and Reports as a single entity and can be deployed multiple times to multiple targets. The project consists of one or more tasks (of type Extract/Load/Transform/Report) and can be orchestrated according to your ends. Project execution supports scheduling which means that you can use this feature to sync up setup data between two instances at periodic internal. Projects can be shared with other users which is remarkable difference between iSetup and Setup Manager. You can share your projects with others in a combined development environment. The functional configuration data (Extracts) are stored in Oracle Enterprise Manager. This means that you can refresh EBS without losing Extracts.
    Integration with Change Approval mechanism – Execution of projects is integrated with change approval mechanism which means that you can control who executes what. Also, you have fine grain access control where you can control EBS targets assigned to a user.
    Offline Transformation – I would say this is the most unique feature of Setup Manager and as an implementer you would welcome this feature very much. iSetup has got very limited capability on Transformation. Here we have gone way ahead and support Transformation on almost all Setup Objects. We present you the extracted data in excel sheets. You can download the excel template and work offline. All the attribute value fields in the excel sheet are editable which means that you supply your own value. For example, you can download Operating Unit data in xls file and change operating unit “OU100” to “OU200” and upload it back to system and load to target instance. Please note that any attribute of Operating Unit setup data can be edited. Also, system has got intelligence and once you upload the excel sheet, it automatically changes all the inventory organization which belongs to “OU100” to “OU200”. This behavior can be controlled using attribute mapping which you can create in Setup Manager. Hold on, this is not the end, also you can add more operating unit in excel, say OU300 and OU400 and load it to target instance. You can delete few Operating Units from extracted data in excel sheet and load the remaining to target instance. This gives you complete flexibility to manage (add/edit/delete) functional configuration data offline. This is fantastic feature and please have a look at how it works.
    Advanced Filtering – Filter support in iSetup is not flexible where you cannot use comma separated values and complex sql join conditions. Also you do not know what query is executed behind the scenes to the data. All this problems are addressed in Setup Manager 3.1. We show you the “select clause” (SQL) associated with interface and provide you a text field where you can refer the select clause and provide your own custom where criteria (SQL). This means that filter support is unlimited and you can set filter any database columns. For example, you can extract “Responsibilities/Menu” which are active or created as on yesterday. You can extract all Operating Units excluding “OU100 and OU200”. We support all filter criteria that are supported by SQL.

    Hi,
    your note very interesting. Is there any other way to extract the configuration using SQL? not using Enterprise Manager? hope this will be fastest way then using GUI base.
    Thanks,
    Fahmi Fahlevi

  • Help with user.update.accounts[Lighthouse].changes[roleInfos].new

    When I access user.update.accounts[Lighthouse].changes[roleInfos].new it returns a list of XMLObjects, which are the new list of roles to be provisioned in IDM. The following is an example:
    <GenericAttribute>
      <Object>
        <Attribute name='attribute'>
          <Object name='Production Server'>
            <Attribute name='directlyAssigned'>

        </Attribute>
      </Object>
    </GenericAttribute>I would like to execute a specific transition when a specific role is identified within work flow transition from this list. So I thought I could try the following:
    <contains>
      <ref>user.update.accounts[Lighthouse].changes[roleInfos].new</ref>
      <s>Production Server</s>
    </contains>This does not work, but in my workflow debug I see the following:

      assignedBy = [Information Security Specialist]
      assignmentType = conditional
      state = assigned
      type = ITRole

    <contains>
      <ref>user.update.accounts[Lighthouse].changes[roleInfos].new</ref>
      <s>Production Server</s>
    </contains>

    I solved my problem and wanted to share the solution with yall
    1. First off the modifications are stored in a task instance, which is passed to the workflow engine
    variables.user.update.accounts[Lighthouse].changes[roleInfos].new2. I created a class to parse the list of changes which are stored as XMLobject in a task definition
    public Boolean roleChangeValidation(List<GenericAttribute> changes, String roleid)
              String type = "MANUAL";
              Boolean returncode = false;
              if (changes != null) {
                   Iterator<GenericAttribute> it = changes.iterator();
                   do {
                        if (!it.hasNext())
                             break;
                        GenericAttribute change = it.next();
                        GenericObject value = change.get();
                        String name = value.getName();
                        if(this.Debug)
                             System.out.println(type + ":" + name);
                        if(value.containsValue(roleid))
                             if(this.Debug)
                                  System.out.println(name);
                             returncode = true;
                   } while (true);
              return returncode;
         }3. I added the following actions to the update workflow, which passes the Roleid I am looking for and returns true if found.
    <Action id='1' name='Validate Privileged Role'>
      <expression>
        <block>
          <defvar name='zRoleChange'>
            <new class='com.generic.util.zRoleChange'>
              <Boolean>true</Boolean>
            </new>
          </defvar>
          <set name='_tokencheck_'>
            <invoke name='roleChangeValidation'>
              <ref>zRoleChange</ref>
              <ref>user.update.accounts[Lighthouse].changes[roleInfos].new</ref>
              <s>Production Server</s>
            </invoke>
          </set>
        </block>
      </expression>

  • BPM - Change Management

    Hello all guys
    I am working on a document in which i need information about the process of change management for oracle bpm (for example versioning of projects and so on).
    I have already the document for deploying in which is the information for versioning projects and deploying...
    Does anyone know where i could get information related to change management for bpm enterprise???
    I've been searching on oracle university and the web in general but i can't find any information.
    Any information provided is really helpfull
    Thanks in advance guys :)

    Hi Srikanth,
    It's a good question and I hope this helps.
    My short answer is that "it depends...".
    Yes, an Oracle BPM process will let your users enter the change required, assign priority, define the change approvals, and send automatically send emails to managers.
    Not saying that this is the case here, but sometimes people confuse an application with what BPM does with a process.  Ask yourself if your candidate process for BPM has one or more of these characteristics:
    Workflow - are there multiple people involved in the editing and approvals over some period of time?
    Documentation - as work flows through the process, will you need to gather requirements / documents and associate these with the instance?
    Seamless integration - are there systems and or databases involved that you need to integrate into the process?
    Efficiency - do you want to ensure that your process continues to flow and escalates when a work item sits too long in someone's queue?
    Governance - do you need to have an audit trail of the various people who were involved as a work item instance (a change approval in your case) flowed through the process?
    Compliance - do you need to have the change management instances go through a process in a consistent and well documented manner?
    Visibility - do you need to gather key performance indicators as instances flow through the process and do managers need to track these in business activity monitoring reports?
    Hope this helps,

  • BPM and Change Management Process

    Hi,
    We have a requirement to automate the change management process. Typical functionality needed is - input the change required, assign priority, organise risk assessment, change approvals, change implementation, send automatic emails to managers etc.
    Is BPM a best fit to this kind of Change Management Process?

  • EM10gR2 Grid Control / Change Management Pack does not support TYPE objects

    I wonder any Oracle EM10gR2 Grid Control users, implementing Oracle Change Management Pack, have used it for the release and proper packages management.
    Issue1 - On an EM console / Web GUI the DDL comparison and synchronization is not supported at all. Implementing it @ customer it appeared that we have to install a 10g Java Client in order to use the code comparison and sync functionalities.
    Issue2 - and this is more serious - it appears that even with Java client in use, you cannot compare or sync objects related to TYPE or TYPE BODY data types. The comparison simply hangs.
    Asked help from support, they mentioned an ER from 8i and logged a new ER for 10g/11g. That is surprising especially as the doc (http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/A96679_01/toc.htm) about code comparison does not exclude the TYPE objects from the supported options.
    Any fellow DBA running to a same problem? What solutions & recommendations might you have?
