ADF app hangs when accessing through browser

Hello ADF/Weblogic friends,
When I try to access the ADF app, it says loading... for ever, which was deployed successfully in WebLogic. I do not see any visible errors in the log. Verified the DB connection which was deployed is working. Also created the datasource for the same db/jndi name in the server level.
The same app works through JDeveloper(11.1.1.4.0)
Configuration details are "WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.4.0", "Oracle Enterprise Manager - Fusion Middleware Control 11.1.1.3.0".
Would be helpful if somebody sheds light on this issue.

You are right about psadmin binary not being in psconsole.war.. maybe since it is portal server 6, it is some other executable.
When i asked the person who had given me the setup about psconsole not being available, he said that psconsole was working on his machine. He is not a technical guy and had not installed SJS 6 by himself. So he could not help me with this problem. It could be that the the psconsole.war file was missing from the installation.
I searched for the war files in both the installed directory as well as in the setup files and could not find it. : (
Anyway, i un-installed SJS 6 2004Q2 using the setup.exe (in windows) and while uninstalling it showed a window saying "psonsole was not found while accessing through the browser. Retry| Ignore| Exit". Also, the un-installation successfully removed all the services required for starting components like directory server, web server, calender server, (cacao also), etc...
I've downloaded Portal server 7.2. Let's see how that turns out... Thanks anyways...

I have OMS,Intelligent agent,apache started. Downloaded and installed the JInitiator Plug-in. When I access from NT/2000 I get the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console on my screen and then it hangs. Here is the output from the java console.

Finder hangs when accessing external drive

My finder hangs when accessing an external drive.
It is specific to a drive the I created on my TC disk.
That drive and TC work perfectly unless I mouint it and alter anything on that disk (I can read ok but writing causes a freeze.)
The writing that I do is always ok; if I trash or move something it always ends up where I wanted it after a restart.
The process looks like:
I drag an item to the trash (or another directory) and the progress bar shows success down to 3 or 5 seconds and then it stops (curser becomes a spinning beach ball.)
I can hear the tone of a successful transfer if I wait a little while but the finder is unresponsive untill I restart.
Once restarted I can check the external disk and the file transer (to a directory or the trash) appears to have completed without corruption.
I have repaired drives and permissions all over the place with no results.
Can I just say that I tired of constant unnecessary updates that slow my computer, rearrange my settings and cause crashes and other problems that have to be researched and chased down through hours of online troubleshooting. I would love to have thoroughly tested software and hardware that just works without the hassle of having to constantly tweek my machine to get it to work consistantly.

Are you saying you have this problem only with one drive, not with others?

And surely if I am backing up the whole computer these projects/videos will be backed up too? I wasn't sure how to do this any other way and I am clearly not great with tech issues. Welcome to the 'wonderful' world of HTML5 e-learning.
In my view, from the issues I am seeing everywhere, HTML5 output from rapid e-learning tools such as Captivate is not ready for the kind of mobile device e-learning you want to develop.
Sorry to be pessimistic, but you may need to consider going back to the drawing board and coding it from the ground up.

UWL giving "Page Cannot be Displayed" when accessed through Internet

Dear all,
We have exposed our portal to Internet and are currently testing the functionality.
All applications are working fine except UWL and Identity Management. UWL is working fine if I'm not using the Webdynpro UI for display.
Later we checked. Only the Webdynpro based applications are having problem when accessing through Internet.
What can be the reason for this? Please help. We are stuck up because of this.

   1. Enter the Hosts enteries of R/3 and EP server.
   2. Try to ping the r/3 & EP server outside your network.

ok, i found a solution that worked for me. this may or may not be the problem you are having but give this a shoot. i think in my case the asl database got corrupted. unline tiger and below this database is not stored in asl.db in leopard. in leopard, the entire /var/log/asl directory is the database. so to remove the database and start from scratch, you need to
sudo launchctl stop com.apple.syslogd
sudo launchctl stop com.apple.aslmanager
sudo mv /var/log/asl/* ~/tmp (you might as well use rm but i wanted to be safe)
sudo launchctl start com.apple.syslogd
For good measure I also ran the maintenance scripts:
sudo periodic daily weekly monthly
My machine has been dead quiet for hours now. darn, it's back to the kitchen for making my toast.
so, what did we learn? Mac, PC - same thing; both are great until you have problems. only with pc's you have a lot more resources to tap into...

Mail App Hangs when trying to attach images

My Mail App (Leopard) keeps hanging (spinning ball) forcing me to force quit whenever I try to attach an image from my Images folder, if I do it through iPhoto it's fine but trying to attach manually it hangs everytime.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Apps hang when I try to delete them

The apps wobble, but hang when I try to delete them. Then, the ipad mini restarts. Moreover, I am unable to access certain apps, am unable to download or update apps. I have checked 'deleting apps' under settings, but it doesn't work.
Help please?

Or do you mean that you cannot delete apps in Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Show all apps. Tap the app that you want to delete and then tap Delete App in the next screen. If you haven't tried that, give it a whirl and see If that works.
There are two basic troubleshooting steps that you can perform that might help. Reset all settings and reset your iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. No data will be lost but all of your device settings will have to be entered again.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple Logo appears on the screen.

Java apps hang when trying to open file dialog

I have several Java applications installed on my Windows Vista machine
All work perfectly except when accessing any file dialogs.
If a file dialog is required, the application just hangs
The only way to resolve this is to open task manager and kill the javaw.exe process
Does anyone know what is wrong.
I am using Java 6 update 17 and have tried re-installing the environment.

The first can in fact be the problem because you are not running all possible apps on your computer. Far as you know all the apps that you run use the same library.
No one here has access to your computer so no one will be able to fix it. No one here has access to those apps so we can fix those either.
If and only if the vendor of the apps determined that there is a bug in the VM then they could localize it and report it. Without localization and assurance that it is the VM no one can fix it.
Keep in mind as well that Vista has been out for years. So it seems likely that a general problem with the VM like that would have been discovered by now. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist, but again the vendor of the apps is more likely to discover it.
For yourself trying running the apps in super user mode (whatever it is called.) If it is a permissions problem then that demonstrates it. Note that if it is permission problem then it most assuredly is one that the vendors must deal with. Just as any other app on Vista must do.

Labview hangs when accessing dll

Im accessing an active x dll using labview 8.21. When we query the dll all parallel loops in labview hang until the dll returns. Is there a way to get around this behaivour?

I do not know if this will help, but there is an issue with the Call Function Library node in LabVIEW 8.2.1 and is posted in the LabVIEW 8.2.1 Readme help here:
If you configure a Call Library Function Node to call a LabVIEW DLL, place a checkmark in the Specify path on diagram checkbox on the Function page of the Call Library Function dialog box, and select Run in UI thread in the Thread control, LabVIEW hangs when executing the Call Library Function Node. To correct this problem, select Reentrant instead of Run in UI thread in the Thread
control. If you configure the Call Library Function Node to call a DLL
written in C with these same settings, LabVIEW works correctly.

Portal throws "page can't be displayed" when accessed through IE

Hi ,
We have a peculiar case where in EP7 portal is throwing "page can't be displayed" error when accesed through IE 6 but is opening through firefox. This shows no network issue nor with the host file.
Can you pls advice on this as this is a prod portal.

Have look in the deployment folder and sub folders;
... /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/j2ee/cluster/server<N>/apps/
sap.com/irj/servlet_jsp/irj/root/web-inf/deployment/pcd
... /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/j2ee/cluster/server<N>/apps/
sap.com/irj/servlet_jsp/irj/root/web-inf/deployment/temp
and check if there are any files here with the extension ".err". If
there are any please rename those files removing the ".err" extension
and restart the J2EE engine. So they will get redeployed;

Error message when accessing file browser on NMH300

Hi, i have a problem here. The error message: "The media hub is not responding, please confirm the device is powered on and connected to your network." appears whenever i try to access File Browser on the NMH300 media hub. I tried rebooting the device, resetting the device but to no avail. I still get the error message. I am using the updated firmware 3.18.4. Any idea how to solve this problem?
Also, i can't seems to rollback the firmware to the 2.17 version even though i have done a reset of the device by pressing the reset button at the back of the device. any help on this?

Hi,
Try to press and hold down the reset button at the back of the mediahub for 30 seconds then check if its now reset back to factory defaults.
I'm curious, when you began having that problem was it at the time when you created a folder under "File Browser" ? Maybe the Linksys article below is the right way of creating folders on the mediahub or just create a folder using the mapped drive.

Vevo App hangs on "Accessing Vevo"

I am an Apple TV user physically located in Hong Kong, but with an Australian Apple ID. When I turned on my Apple TV today, I was pleased to see the Vevo app.
However, when I go to the app, it says "Accessing Vevo" and the wheel keeps spinning.
Does anyone know if the Vevo app is geo-locked so it won't work if you're physically outside of your country?

Hi, I have a similiar issue...
First of all, the VEVO app does indeed have restrictions. Now, I have an Apple ID in the USA and I´m currently outside the country. You need to activate the VEVO app in their vevo.com site, by using a code shown on the settings screen. The VEVO site also works in the US only, so I had to use a VPN to enter such code and activate my Apple TV.
Once activated, my Apple TV is showing my playlists and the search screen works fine. The videos load instantly (again, outside the US)... But the main VEVO screen is still showing the "Accesing VEVO" message... Not sure why this happens but at least the rest works.

All apps hang when downloading

Since my Macbook Air ran empty on batterie (and crashed), no application can download anything any more.
Safari, Mail attachments, software updates, you name it: every application hangs when trying to download anything.
I emptied Safari caches, looked at the Downloads folder, checked available disk space - no idea.
Does someone have a hint ?

Or do you mean that you cannot delete apps in Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Show all apps. Tap the app that you want to delete and then tap Delete App in the next screen. If you haven't tried that, give it a whirl and see If that works.
There are two basic troubleshooting steps that you can perform that might help. Reset all settings and reset your iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. No data will be lost but all of your device settings will have to be entered again.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple Logo appears on the screen.
