ADF column footer problem

hi all,
im using Jdev 11.1.1.0.0. I have an inline table on my jspx page. I calculate the sum of one column in a managed bean. I want to display this value in table's footer section. So I added an input text to the column's footer and set the value from the managed bean. I have set the inline style of the table to width:100%;height:100%. But when the page renders, there is a big gap between the footer section and the last record. My table has only two records. Can anyone advice me on how to remove this gap?
Thanks in advance,
Nad

Hi Frank,
Thanks for replying. I tried your solution. It works fine. The gap between the last column and the column footer is now removed.
But still there is a problem. Since it's an inline table, when the detail node (in detail stamp facet) is clicked, the detail table appears, but the full table is not adjusted to show the content. So in order to have a look at the detail table, we have to scroll inside. It is better if the table can be adjusted to view the detail table without much effort. I hope my problem is clear. Can this be done? Pls help....
Thanks,
Nad.

  • ADF Faces af:table partialTriggers update column footer

    I have table based on SortableModel (stored in session) with one column as input & other column as formula based on input field both as numeric.
    I have ValueChangeEvent on input field,which calculate new value for formula column. It is updated on page immediately. I am also computing summary for both column & store it sessionbean. But ValueChangeEvent does not update these values, I have to refresh page manually to see new totals. I have linked both the outputText field to inputText by partialTriggers property.
    If I move these outputText out of tablefooter they get updated immediately.
    I tried to link af:table & columns to inputText by partialTriggers but do not work.
    How I can update coulmn footer immediately if one of the field in table changed?
    Thanks, Yogesh
    -- Column footer : Does not update immediately
    <f:facet name="footer">
    <af:outputText value="#{PartyTableBean.newTotalBalance}"
    binding="#{backing_FinancialClose.newTotalBalance}"
    id="newTotalBalance" partialTriggers="newInvoiced">
    <af:convertNumber currencySymbol="$" type="currency"/>
    </af:outputText>
    </f:facet>
    -- outputText outside of table : updates immediately
    <af:outputText value="#{PartyTableBean.newTotalBalance}" id="newTotalBalance22"
    partialTriggers="newInvoiced" binding="#{backing_FinancialClose.outputText7}">
    <af:convertNumber currencySymbol="$" type="currency"/>
    </af:outputText>

    I was mistakenly believing that you couldn't use a selectOneChoice in an af:table given some experimentation where they simply failed to render at all.
    It turns out that I had a hadn'e created the appropriate setter method for the property. However, instead of making the data readOnly (as most of the ADF FACES controls do) it just didn't render anything. Thus making me think it just didn't work inside of a table.
    FYI - in case this happens to anyone else.

  • Web Center app with ADF Security - login problem

    I have a custome Oracle Web Center app.
    I have a page.html with an embedded login form posting to j_security_check. I've configured the ADF security policies to redirect to a JSPX on successful login.
    When I try the correct username/password, I get redirected not to the page I defined in ADF, but to the root page http://127.0.0.1:7101/MyApp-ViewController-context-root/
    and i get
    Error 403--Forbidden
    I've checked the weblogic.xml as per http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2009/12/solving-error-403-forbidden-in-adf.html, all the required entries are there.
    This works fine if i use a Login link with
    destination="#{'/adfAuthentication?login=true&amp;end_url=/faces/postLogin.jspx'} "
    which redirects to the default login.html and then to the right page. I've copied the form from the default login.html into my master HTML page.
    Hope my question is clear. Any suggestions why it is going to the wrong URL after login.
    Is there anything specific I should see in the jazn-data.xml or web.xml regarding the post-login URL since i cant see that in either.
    P.S. Have been advised to try here when I originally asked this in the WebCenter forum. Web Center app ADF Security - login problem

    Thanks for your response Frank.
    The web.xml has
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>adfAuthentication</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>/adfAuthentication</url-pattern>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <role-name>valid-users</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    <login-config>
    <auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
    <form-login-config>
    <form-login-page>/login.html</form-login-page>
    <form-error-page>/error.html</form-error-page>
    </form-login-config>
    </login-config>
    When configuring ADF Security via JDev , I chose "Redirect upon successful authentication" to the Welcome Page
    "/faces/postLogin.jspx"
    this then adds into web.xml
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>adfAuthentication</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>oracle.adf.share.security.authentication.AuthenticationServlet</servlet-class>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>success_url</param-name>
    <param-value>/faces/postLogin.jspx</param-value>
    </init-param>
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
    So the sequence which works is:
    Login via the '/adfAuthentication?login=true&end_url=/faces/postLogin.jspx' and this redirects to login.html (OOTB form which posts to j_security_check) and then to the postLogin.jspx
    I'm trying to do away with a Login link, and trying the simple login form embedded in my page alongwith other content.
    So should the form be posting to j_security_check directly or to the adfAuthentication ?

  • Report column footer print after report footer

    I have a report which has column footer and report footer.
    The column footer always print in the bottom of the page and it happens the report has half page then report footer print before column footer.
    I would like to know is it possible to have column footer just after last detail line print and report footer print after column footer which is more professinal report format,
    Your help and information is great appreciated,

    It is not possible to change the order in which the footers print.
    To achieve what you want, do not use the "column footer" band. Create a dummy report group and use that group's footer, which will always print before the "report footer".

  • ADF Faces: columns sort problem

    Hi all,
    I'm new ADF Faces italian user and I have some problem sorting columns of table component...
    I have tried to convert my ResultSet in a List, and the data are correctly inserted in the "af:table" but the column sort don't work...
    I have already read the "af:table" Oracle specification but I have not just found a solution...
    This is the part of my backing bean that return the List:
    private List anagsList;
    public List getAnagsList()
    Connection connection;
    Statement statement;
    ResultSet resultset;
    try
    Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
    connection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.168.168.75:1521:ORA1", "EL2DEMO", "admin");
    statement = connection.createStatement();
    if(inputText1.getValue().toString().equals(""))
    resultset = statement.executeQuery("SELECT AN_RAGSOC, AN_NOME, AN_DATANASCITA FROM ANAGS");
    else
    String query="SELECT AN_RAGSOC, AN_NOME, AN_DATANASCITA FROM ANAGS WHERE ";
    query=query + "AN_RAGSOC LIKE '%" + inputText1.getValue() + "%' OR ";
    query=query + "AN_NOME LIKE '%" + inputText1.getValue() + "%' OR ";
    query=query + "AN_DATANASCITA LIKE '%" + inputText1.getValue() + "%'";
    resultset=statement.executeQuery(query);
    anagsList = new ArrayList();
    while(resultset.next())
    anagsList.add(new AnagsRecord(resultset.getString(2), resultset.getString(1), resultset.getString(3)));
    resultset.close();
    statement.close();
    connection.close();
    catch(Exception e)
    System.out.println(e);
    return anagsList;
    This is my AnagsRecord class:
    package mypackage.backing;
    public class AnagsRecord
    private String nome;
    private String cognome;
    private String dataNascita;
    public AnagsRecord(String nome, String cognome, String dataNascita)
    setNome(nome);
    setCognome(cognome);
    setDataNascita(dataNascita);
    public String getNome()
    return nome;
    public void setNome(String nome)
    this.nome = nome;
    public String getCognome()
    return cognome;
    public void setCognome(String cognome)
    this.cognome = cognome;
    public String getDataNascita()
    return dataNascita;
    public void setDataNascita(String dataNascita)
    this.dataNascita = dataNascita;
    And this is table component:
    <af:table var="al" emptyText="No records found."
    rows="20" value="#{backing_ADFFaces.anagsList}"
    banding="row" bandingInterval="1">
    <af:column sortable="true" sortProperty="dataNascita">
    <f:facet name="header">
    <af:outputText value="DATA NASCITA"/>
    </f:facet>
    <af:outputText value="#{al.dataNascita}"/>
    </af:column>
    <af:column sortable="true" sortProperty="cognome">
    <f:facet name="header">
    <af:outputText value="COGNOME"/>
    </f:facet>
    <af:outputText value="#{al.cognome}"/>
    </af:column>
    <af:column sortable="true" sortProperty="nome">
    <f:facet name="header">
    <af:outputText value="NOME"/>
    </f:facet>
    <af:outputText value="#{al.nome}"/>
    </af:column>
    </af:table>
    I have already installed the ADF Faces demos (column_sortable.jspx) and it works well, but the backing bean is not very understandable...
    please help me...
    ciao!

  • ADF command link problem

    Hi All,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11g. I have a master-detail relationship tables Order and OrderItem. I have an Order edit page which has editable Order information and a ADF read-only table which contains a list of items associated with the current order. I have a ADF command link on the column LineItemId in the table. When I click the link, it will take me to the item edit page. The problem is, whenever I select any item in the table, I always got the first item loaded in the item edit page. Does anyone has any ideas what I did wrong?
    Here is the portion of the code related to the command link,
    <af:column sortProperty="LineItemId" sortable="false"
    headerText="#{bindings.OrderItemsView2.hints.LineItemId.label}"
    id="c4">
    <af:commandLink actionListener="#{bindings.setCurrentRowWithKeyValue.execute}"

    disabled="#{!bindings.setCurrentRowWithKeyValue.enabled}"
    id="cl1" partialTriggers="::t1"
    action="goOrderItemDetail"/>
    </af:column>
    Thanks in advance,

    If i click on that Learning Path's link it takes me to a page say Page3 where it gives the details of that perticular Learning Path.
    The requirement is , If I click on an Learning Path's link on Page1 ,it should redirect me directly to Page3 ( Skipping Page2 ).

    thanks in advance

    We occasionally get this problem in 11.1.1.4.0 after the following general sequence of events:
    a) we create a new transient attribute in the EO
    b) we include the EO transient attribute in the VO
    c) we modify the EO transient attribute in some specific way (maybe adding a Groovy expressions)
    At this point the VO attribute gets out of sync with the EO attribute and by implication the VO query that hits & returns from the database doesn't match the number of VO attributes.
    While I can't pin point the exact problem for you, we hit this regularly enough that our team knows the solution is to drop the VO attribute and recreate it by importing the EO attribute into the VO again. This resyncs the VO correctly and we don't get this error.

  • ADF create form problem

    Hello forum, I know - I am back again. But I am having all kinds of issues developing this ADF BC create form. Given the following scenario, can somebody please explain how he/she would set out to create the following ADF create form?
    You a have a db entity call it table with fields1 through 10. During any create transaction, one of field1 or field2 or field3 must be present together with field4 through 10. That is, field1 can be entered along with fields 4 to 10 or field2 can be entered together with fields 4 to 10 or field3 and fields 4 - 10. Field10 can have four exclusive choices (say a, b, c, d) and should default to d (radio button). Field3 should store the name of an uploaded file. At no time can fields 1, 2 and 3 be entered. It is either one or the other.
    Here's how I set out to develop this and have been running into all sorts of problems from Row inconsistency issues to 500 Internal errors. I created an unbound select one Radio component with three choices to display either field1 or field2 or field3 depending upon the radio button selected. I used the switcher facet to hide fields 1 and 2, show field 3 if radio button 3 was selected. So whenever radio button 1 was selected, field1 would be displayed, then fields 2 and 3 will be hidden. Initially, I used regular input components to display fields 1 to 3 and then try to map them back to the database but couldn't figure out how to do this. I then followed John's suggestion to use transient entity attributes. I did this but still couldn't figure out how to access their values so I could set the relevant db columns accordingly.
    Because of the way this requirement is, I had to drag and drop field1, 2, and 3 in three different single drag and drop operations, then drag and drop the entire collection with the option to include the submit button, delete fields 1 through 3 in another operation. This created 2 different iterators in the pageDef file. I am not an expert yet on ADF but maybe this might be part of my problems. Trying to use two different iterators to insert into a single table during a single DML operation. But then again both iterators are bound to the same entity. I am not sure anymore.
    Is anybody kind enough to take a look at what I have so far? John? Frank? Steve? Anybody? I am trying to make that switch from oracle forms to ADF. This is actually my first ADF form and so far it has been very frustrating. I really need help on this guys!!
    Thanks

    Thanks for the suggestion Frank! Just so I understand you, the ADF Faces text component that I am adding would be in addition to the radio select one component? Then if you click on radio button 1, enter data in the text field, that action should bind it to field1 and similarly for the other fields when radio button 2 or 3 is clicked? In this case I am assuming that I do not have to display the actual db fields1 - 3 on the form?
    This would be fine for fields1 and 2 (though field2 would require one to enter a substantial amount of text - on average a 1000 characters as opposed to field1 that has a maximum length of 40 characters). Field3 however is different because it should be an inputFile component in order to download OS files and store in the database. Thus the ADF Faces text component might not be able to handle this without substantial additional java code.
    Thanks again for your suggestions. I really appreciate it!

  • ADF webapp deployment problem...

    I'm using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 and making some ADF web application.
    Actually deploying to Weblogic has no problem.
    But when I access to the web page, I got a NullPointerException like this:
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at oracle.adf.model.binding.DCIteratorBinding.getSortCriteria(DCIteratorBinding.java:3710)
    at oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.model.binding.FacesCtrlRangeBinding.__getSortCriteria(FacesCtrlRangeBinding.java:261)
    at oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.model.binding.FacesCtrlHierBinding$FacesModel.getSortCriteria(FacesCtrlHierBinding.java:405)
    at org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.component.UIXCollection.getSortCriteria(UIXCollection.java:476)
    It seems it can't get a data control.
    But when I try on my integrated WLS, it works fine.
    Why did it fail?
    Thanks.

    Thanks, pino.
    But I think why it works fine on Local Integrated WLS.
    it failed only on remote WLS.

  • Hideshow region column sort problem

    Hi,
    I have a HideShow region containing a PPR report. All is well except that the region hides when I click a column header to sort.
    Anyone got a solution to this?
    I've tried a few methods involving trying to store the ID of the region in a user-preference, but so far no joy.
    Seems the kind of thing we need a generic method for.
    Many thanks,
    John D

    carl,
    Thanks for the quick response.
    Glad to hear that it's a fairly easy fix, but sad to say I don't know how to implement it. Could I ask you to be more explicit?
    I will be too. The problem affects any hideshow region with sortable columns, so I'm looking ideally for a generic fix.
    The specific case in point is a page with 3 reports, each in a hideshow region and each in a ppr report template (though the ppr bit is irrelevant - happens with standard templates too, as it would).
    The column headers generate HTML such as:
    HREF="f?p=100:625:1253185985800118:fsp_sort_2::RP&fsp_region_id=2004914903282889">FirstName<(I left out the <A... A> to aid legibility here)
    So I guess (yep, guess) what's required is something like:
    - on an fsp_sort request, somehow trap and store the ID of the given region;
    - either in the page onload code, or maybe in the page footer, fire the onclick method for the toggle element for the given region, as you suggest.
    Unfortunately this is currently beyond me. Any further help will be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    john
