ADF Mobile - selectManyCheckbox - Issue to get value

Hi,
          I have a simple amx page with selectManyCheckbox as below, I want to get value (first / second) inside Test Bean. But not getting the value as expected
<amx:selectManyCheckbox label="label1" id="smc1" valueChangeListener="#{TestBean.getCheckBoxValue}" value="#{pageFlowScope.pValue}">
<amx:selectItem label="Check Box 1" value="first"/>
<amx:selectItem label="Check Box 2" value="second"/>
</amx:selectManyCheckbox>
          getCheckBoxValue inside TestBean is as below.
public void getCheckBoxValue(ValueChangeEvent valueChangeEvent) {
try {
System.out.println(" vaule is " + valueChangeEvent.getNewValue().toString());
System.out.println(" vaule is " + valueChangeEvent.getOldValue().toString());
String selectedValuesAsString  = "";
ValueExpression ve;
ve = (ValueExpression)AdfmfJavaUtilities.getValueExpression("#{pageFlowScope.pValue}",String.class);
System.out.println(" 1 "+ve);
System.out.println(" 1 "+(ve.getValue(AdfmfJavaUtilities.getAdfELContext()).getClass().getName()));
String attrBinding = (String)ve.getValue(AdfmfJavaUtilities.getAdfELContext());
System.out.println(" 2 "+attrBinding.toString());
} catch (Exception e) {
// TODO: Add catch code
e.printStackTrace();
All the places : i am getting the value as object , Here is the console output
06-19 07:58:31.506: D/CVM(1419):  vaule is [Ljava.lang.Object;@fa17c0
06-19 07:58:31.506: D/CVM(1419):  vaule is [Ljava.lang.Object;@992d6a59
06-19 07:58:31.516: D/CVM(1419):  1 TreeValueExpression(#{pageFlowScope.pValue})
06-19 07:58:31.516: D/CVM(1419):  1 java.lang.String
06-19 07:58:31.526: D/CVM(1419):  2 [Ljava.lang.Object;@aea1046e
Could you please let me know How to get value back inside bean using  ValueChangeEvent.
Thanks in advance.
Ajoy Sinha

Here is the answer ..
                                valueChangeEvent.getNewValue() will return array of Object , i.e Object[]. Now one should loop through the Object and retrieve each object to get value out of it.
Object[] value = (Object[])valueChangeEvent.getNewValue();
for (int count = 0; count < value.length; count++) {
Object checkedBox = value[count];
String checkBoxValue = checkedBox.toString();
System.out.println(" Check Box Value " + checkBoxValue);

  • ADF Mobile selectManyCheckbox ios behavior

    Hello,
    I'm using Jdev 11.1.2.4.39.64.36 and developing a mobile app using ADF Mobile. I'm deploying to Iphone (4 and 5) and Samsung Galaxy S3 (Android 4.1.2).
    Use case: i have a list with many items and i have to scroll and select one or many items within selectManyCheckbox component
    It seems that the selectManyCheckbox is not working properly on IOS devices.
    When i scroll on the Iphone the item gets checked just by scrolling the page. The normal behavior would be scrolling the page first (the item remains unchecked) and then click the item wich i'm looking for (the item gets marked/checked).
    I have tested with the CompGallery Sample provided with JDeveloper.
    In this demo there´s a Text & Select page and selectManyCheckbox component.
    I've included something like 20 items just to be possible to scroll the page. On my android device worked nicely! On my Iphone i got that behavior described above.
    Any help?
    Thanks

    Hi Vik,
    If you have the webservice WSDL, you can use SOAP UI, create a Mock Service and use that one for testing.
    Soap UI has a feature to create a mock service. Basically a stub web service, based upon a WSDL.
    In this mock service, you can define the response that is sent back upon a request, so you can test your application with 'live' data.
    With this mock service, you can create a data control based on the web service in JDeveloper and use this one for testing.

  • ADF Mobile Deployment issue

    Hello -
    I am so frustrated with the ADF Mobile deployment. I have already created couple of Android Apps using the native language and never faced problems like this. I am very familiar with ADF development as well.
    Anyways this is my problem.
    I downloaded the sample adf mobile app from the following tutorial, but I was unable to deploy it on the Android emulator in  Release mode. The debug mode takes for ever.

    I tried recreating the keystore couple of times, but it didn;t help. I know the password entered is correct.

  • Issue in getting value from c.Input component

    Hi Widget experts,
    I'm creating an enterprisre widget and one of the components used is c.Input type.
    I could set the values of the component using setValue() method. In runtime if the value in the component c.Input is changed and try to retrieve the value using getValue(), it is not returning the runtime updated value but instead giving the value that is set prior.
    Providing example:
    var x = 'ABCD';
    components.cMainInput.setValue(x);
    (In another method... trying to retrieve the changed value say WXYZ, of the input)
    var x = components.cMainInput.getValue();
    Expected that the value in x now should be WXYZ but instead I'm receiving it as 'ABCD'.
    Can any of you, provide solution for this issue?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Syamala

    I could figure out solution. Its mandatory to use validate() function before using getValue().
    Validate function makes the the runtime value available to retrieve after successful execution.
    Thank you for the viewers.

    Dear Frank,
    Based on below links, Fusion CRM also supports REST also apart from regular SOAP Web Services.

  • JDeveloper  ADF Mobile - JAVA HOME location

    Hi,
    What will be the java_home variable for the ADF Mobile JVM when it gets deployed in Android. Because based on this location only cipher will take the location to look for policy files. I am getting an error unable to locate policy files. But, the same is working in iOS.
    I saw that the lib/security is present in \assets\storage\jvm of the application. Do we need to change that location of lib/security

  • Need help in UI design in ADF Mobile

    Hi
    I have a requirement to create the interaction as shown in the image at https://picasaweb.google.com/113470899999229420779/February32013?authuser=0&feat=directlink. I am not sure which component is it?
    Please advise how to create this type of button in the header.

    Hi there...
    You should see a popup component in the layout section.
    Also there is a new list view component, which can be set to static fixed data or databound. In ADF mobile, you have to get a little more creative with the use of components and styling. I also see that the display is an application menu.
    ADF Mobile delivers a standard design pattern to achieve this through the springboard... however if you want that particular pattern, a styled popup is definitely the way you go.
    Please check 'helpful' or 'correct' ;-)

  • ADF Mobile - Get network status

    OS: OSX 10.8.5
    JDEV: 11.1.2.4
    ADF Mobile Extension version: 11.1.2.4.39.64.51
    HI All,
    I'm currently in the middle of developing an ADF Mobile application and exploring the offline/online capabilities and have run into an issue where i'm trying to determine if the user has network connectivity, but its not working properly. I'm trying to make the app as dynamic as possible such that, for every transaction that requires network access, the app will check beforehand whether it is "connected" or "disconnected".  I've tried the following but not quite got there..
    1) From the link below, Joe does make note that the EL Expression "#{deviceScope.hardware.networkStatus}" to resolve the network status is only evaluated at start up, which is good for when the app opens.. but not good when the user loses network connectivity.
    Re: JDeveloper  ADF Mobile -- Android Context
    2) The link below uses javascript to evaluate the network connectivity. This works first time and every subsequent time afterwards, however, I would like the javascript to ONLY evaluate the network status and then populate a pageFlowScope variable with true or false. This bit also works fine. From here, it may seem that the pageFlowScope variable has been populated, but if the java method (which calls the javascript function to check the network connectivity) also includes code that reference the pageFlowScope variable that the javascript has just populated, it is not evaluated properly.
    Example:
        public void checkConnection(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
            // This works fine and populates the PageFlowScope variable fine
            AdfmfContainerUtilities.invokeContainerJavaScriptFunction("feature1", "application.checkConnection",
                                                                              new Object[] { });
            // The two lines below do not work properly, as if its retained the old value of the pageFlowScope.
            ValueExpression ve = AdfmfJavaUtilities.getValueExpression("#{pageFlowScope.isConnected}", String.class);
            throw new AdfException("isConnected: " + (String)ve.getValue(AdfmfJavaUtilities.getAdfELContext()), AdfException.INFO);
    Unwinding ADF: Offline Data Synchronization for ADF Mobile
    Below is a link to a sample app that i made and the steps to reproduce:
    https://app.box.com/s/ng5n362unttu7b88i42b
    - Have network connectivity
    - Click on the "Check connection via JS' button the first time
    - The popup in the foreground is the javascript showing the connectivity, which is correct
    - The popup in the background is an INFO AdfExpection showing the connectivity, which is INCORRECT
    - Click OK twice
    - Click on the "Check connection via JS' button the second time
    - The popup in the foreground is the javascript showing the connectivity, which is correct
    - The popup in the background is an INFO AdfExpection showing the connectivity, which is CORRECT
    - Click OK twice
    - disconnect your computer from the network/internet
    - Click on the "Check connection via JS' button the third time
    - The popup in the foreground is the javascript showing the connectivity, which is correct
    - The popup in the background is an INFO AdfExpection showing the connectivity, which is INCORRECT
    Has anyone has similar use case has have a work around/solution? This is driving me nuts!
    Cheers,
    Eddie

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for the quick reply.
    That's exactly what i've used in my javascript function in my demo app and that link is the resource i used as well, however, that javascript code does populate the pageFlowScope variable fine, however, if i make reference to that pageFlowScope variable from within the same java method that includes the call to the javascript function, it does not get the updated pageFlowScope value. Only after the transaction has fully completed and i then [for example] click on a button on the screen to evaluate the pageFlowScope variable again, do i get the updated value.
    Having a stab in the dark, could it be something to do with the way the javascript is executed when updating the pageFlowScope variable and lifecycle of that transaction
    I've also tried this under the code where it populates the pageFlowScope, but it can't resolve the expression, seems like i'm doing something wrong..
    navigator.notification.alert('pageFlowScope value: ' + adf.mf.el.getValue("#{pageFlowScope.isConnected}", onSuccess, onFail), alertDismissed, 'Connected', 'OK');

  • ADF mobile Client App: Issue about using db sequence for populating row_id

    Hi,
    I'm working on an ADF mobile client app POC project. In the mobile app, new record can be created, the column type for row_id is VARCHAR2(15), I used the db sequence created in MC db, converted the seq number to a string, then set row_id via initDefaults method.
    The new records are created and row_ids are set with the proper sequence numbers when first time launching the client app in blackberry simulator. But if I exit the app and re-launch the app again, I got net.rim.device.api.database.DataTypeExpection when trying to create a new record.

    using 10gR2 on Sun-Solaris. Getting consistently "db file parallel read" over 35 ms as an average wait for the past few months. No performance issues as such.
    Using RAID 1+0. DB Size is 2 TB. Transactions are OLTP/Batch
    Is this metric high or normal. How to justify that..
    Looking at your results it's not really possible to say.
    db file parallel read is a request for a number of randomly distirbuted blocks, and the time for a read is the time for the last block of the set to be returned.
    Without knowing how many blocks are being requested at a time you can't really determine what constitutes a reasonable time. Given that you say OLTP + Batch, and have a large volume of scattered reads, it's quite possible that you have some queries on the Batch side doing very large index range scans - which would allow for some very large db file parallel reads.
    I take it from the use of statspack that you're not licensed for the diagnostic and performance packs; it would be easy to query v$active_session_history to get some idea of the number of blocks per request as this is given by the P2 parameter. As it is. you may be able to get a rough idea by messing about with the various "physical read" numbers in the Instance Activity section of statspack.

  • Issues in ADF mobile application using Trinidad components

    I am facing the following issues when developing a mobile application using trinidad components :
    Jdev version : 11.1.1.6
    1) I dont see a date component using trinidad components? The dev guide http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/e10140/sup_comp.htm says that tr:inputDate is supported but when i try to drag a data field to jsf page i don't see an option for Trinidad date component. so i went ahead and created an af:inputDate in the page. But the date selection dialog doesnt open up.
    2) i tried using 'Rendered' for conditional rendering of a component but it does not work or refresh immediately, the same problem is solved in my adf application using visible property but looks like there is no 'Visible' property for Trinidad components. any work around?
    3) i wanted to have a 'create insert' call in my task flow before launching the page. Since Task flows are not supported in ADF mobile application, i have added 'ADF Faces' also into my project and created task flow and jsff page as i do for a adf web application the only diff being the usage of trinidad components in my jsff page. is this fine? Also can we mix trinidad components and adf components into the same page?
    4) I have a tr:inputText on a clob input text field which i am updating in ADF page using a clob converter class. Same thing i cannot do for trinidad text as it is resulting in null pointer exception. any solution to update clob fields into database which uses tr:inputText compents.
    Help to solve any one of the above issues (by quoting serial no) would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

  • How to get data from web service in ADF mobile

    I'm new to ADF mobile application development. I'm currently blocked in a scenario. I have a web service(from third party) which needs <wsse:Security> to retrieve data. In soapUI, the web service will retrieve the response only when there is this security tag. Otherwise it will give response as invalid security. The web service looks like this:
            <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xx="http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/csf/soaprovider/plsql/xx_fs_mob_login/" xmlns:get="http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/csf/soaprovider/plsql/xx_fs_mob_login/get_login/">

    I tried the steps described in ADF mobile tutorial to get web service data. But I'm getting response code 500 from the server. I tried the steps for secured web service also. But I'm not sure which security policy has been implemented in the web service. I tried with oracle/wss_username_client_token_policy and some others but didn't succeed. Later I tried by creating web service client/proxy. But as Oracle ADF only supports java 1.4, I got errors in the generated code(errors on generics and annotation).
    The WSDL for the web service is as follows:

  • How to get the ADF Mobile Client extension

    Hi all,
    Please post some link in which I can download the ADF Mobile Client extension for Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 directly to my local disk. I have tried going through Help --> Check for updates in Jdeveloper but my proxy does not
    allow it. so the only possible option for me is to download it to my local disk and should update it. I searched for it but was unable to find the appropriate link so I got to post here. Kindly help me out in finding it please....
    Thanks,
    Phanindra.

    Hi Timo,
    Now I am more confused whether it is available or not. In the oracle site I have seen that I can develop mobile apps using trinidad components in which <trinidad-config> file can be used to define the different platforms on
    which the application can be rendered. Is it true ?? When I created a mobile app I got only <trinidad-config> I didnt get <trinidad-skins> in which I can define the style sheet. There is a lot of confusion in how to proceed to
    develop the application. Kindly help me on this. I need to develop a mobile app which is not only accessible in Blackberry but should also be able to get rendered on the other platforms also. Which is the best way to develop a
    POC on this. Kindly help me timo.
    thanks,
    Phanindra.

  • How to solve "Bad Content-Length value" Error that show in ADF Mobile

    I was develop application that using web service from mine original ADF project and I can't fetch via AMX Page as pop-up error "Bad Content-Length value" How to solve this problem ?
    My Web-service configuration
    - "Find" is only basic operation that in view instance
    - None of View criteria
    As only find is basic operation, that seems required "findCriteria" and "findControl" parameter(as seen in "Panel From layout" generated in AMX Page)
    After drag generate form view in AMX Page and after to deploy to simulator, I was found pop-up error was said Bad Content-Length value as shown below.
    I am also using HTTP Analyzer and didn't found any request from ADF Mobile Application
