Adf page state problem

I am using jDeveloper 11.1.1.3g.
I have a simple jsp page which has few inputText and commandButton. When i click on the command button i have a logic to add a user in LDAP.
Till this is fine.
If i click on my the command button the respective method gets called properly, but after the page returns back and next if i click on the Refresh button of keyboard, again the page refreshes and directly the method bound to the command button gets called .
Why is the method getting directly called when i didnt click on the button after the page is refreshed.
Please help me on this as this is making a lot of trouble for me. Is this a problem with the sate of the page ?

Hi,
JavaServer Faces uses postback requests, so it is not obvious that an URL encoded action is issued. When you hit refresh on the browser then because of the postback, the last action is repeated. To avoid this, you should redirect to another page instead of just staying on the same page. Sorry, but there is no more information to give based on your sparse sharing of implementation details

  • Open file from ADF pages gives a problem

    Hi all,
    I have created with Jdev 11g an ADF page.
    In that page is shown a table with the files that are stored in the database.
    I use this code to show the file:
        public void showFile(BlobDomain  b,String filename){
            FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
            HttpServletResponse response = (HttpServletResponse)fc.getExternalContext().getResponse();
            response.setHeader("Content-Disposition","attachment; filename=\""+filename+"\"");
            response.setHeader("cache-control", "no-cache");
            try {
                InputStream in;
                in = b.getInputStream();
                ServletOutputStream out = response.getOutputStream();
                writeInputStreamToOutputStream(in, out);
                fc.responseComplete();
            } catch (IOException e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
            } catch (Throwable e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
        }This works for the first time a file is opened. But when the user then selects a different row nothing is happening anymore.
    What can that be?

    Hi Simon,
    This is the button:
                      <af:commandButton text="Open file"
                                        binding="#{backingBeanScope.backing_pages_Meldingen.cb5}"
                                        id="cb5"
                                        disabled="false"
                                        action="#{backingBeanScope.backing_pages_Meldingen.openFile}"/>this is openfile:
        public String openFile() {
            BindingContainer bindings = this.getBindings();
            DCIteratorBinding iter = (DCIteratorBinding)bindings.get("XxahelpBezoekRapDocView1Iterator");
            Row currentRw = iter.getCurrentRow();
            showFile((BlobDomain)currentRw.getAttribute("Bijlage"),currentRw.getAttribute("Filename").toString());
            return null;
        }And how can I download in a popup??

  • af:serverListener causing ADF page to hang while refresh

    Hi All,
    I am working on JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0
    We have developed an ADF application wherein we are using a <af:ServerListener> for implementing table row double-click action. below is the code
    <af:clientListener method="handleTableDoubleClick"
                                         type="dblClick"/>
                      <af:serverListener type="TableDoubleClickEvent"
                                         method="#{UserBean.handleTableDoubleClick}"/>
    <af:resource type="javascript">function handleTableDoubleClick(evt) { var
                                      table = evt.getSource();
                                      AdfCustomEvent.queue(table,
                                      "TableDoubleClickEvent", { }, true);
                                      evt.cancel(); }</af:resource>there is a custom method written in UserBean to handle the event.
    Now the problem is that when user refreshes this page using 'F5'...the page gets hanged and is not responding. I tried disabling the <af:serverListener> and it works correctly.
    Please let me know any method to implement table double click listener without using <af:serverListener> component.
    thanks,
    Rajan

    Ok. I implemented the stated solution. But again there is some issue with the javascript function. I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0. Below is my implementation.
    In my ADF page:
    <af:commandButton text="overview" id="overviewButton"
                                           binding="#{UserBean.overviewButton}"
                                           actionListener="#{User.handleTableDoubleClickMethod}"/>and
    <af:clientListener method="handleTableDoubleClick"
                                         type="dblClick"/>
    <af:clientAttribute name="btnId"
                                          value="#{SuspectBean.overviewButtonId}"/>
    <af:resource type="javascript">
         function handleTableDoubleClick(event) {
             var btnId = event.getSource().getProperty("btnId");
             var button = AdfPage.PAGE.findComponent(btnId);
             alert("btn"+button);
             var actionEvent = new AdfActionEvent(button);
             event.cancel();
             actionEvent.queue(button, false);
       </af:resource>In userBean:
        public void handleTableDoubleClickMethod(ActionEvent actionEvent){
            overviewTab.setDisclosed(true);
        public void setOverviewButton(RichCommandButton overviewButton) {
            this.overviewButton = overviewButton;
        public RichCommandButton getOverviewButton() {
            return overviewButton;
        public String getOverviewButtonId() {
                return getOverviewButton().getClientId(FacesContext.getCurrentInstance());
            }When I am executing the code, i put alert statement in javascript to debug. I am getting var button value as 'undefined'. I am getting btnId correctly.
    is there some different version of javascript code required in JDev 11.1.1.5.0? Please help me with this.
    thanks,
    Rajan

  • ADF Controller State API

    Hello
    Is there any way to get the Controller state for the current page using Java Code.
    I am using document.location.search in java script, wonder if I can access the same using Some adf API.
    http://xxxx/xxxxxt/faces/login.jspx?*adf.ctrl-state=937739223*
    Thanks.

    My actual requirement to get the Controller state.
    I have page A which is a bounded task flow.When page A is closed i call a javascript to return the TaskFlow and pass document.location.search which will pass the controller state.
    But the problem comes when i open page B (another bounded Task Flow) from Page A and do return Task FLow from page B.
    It navigates back to Page A but then replaces the URL with new adf Controller State. When i actually execute Javascript to execute return Task FLow it gets appended with new Controller state.
    So i need a way to get the ADF Controller state through API instead of URL.

  • Propagation of Credentials from ADF Pages to BPEL

    It is easy and straightforward to call web services from ADF pages. But I am a bit confused about the security issues around use of BPEL and OWSM with ADF.
    Suppose that I have authenticated against an LDAP to access an ADF page and the page make calls to a BPEL process through a button. As far as I know I should implement security in the web services through OWSM and in this case I can attach an agent to the web service to authenticate against LDAP. (or verify a SAML token)
    Problem: I can't pass credentials to the process from the page. the web service does not receive any SAML token, user name or pass word to authenticate.
    Also please read this for another view of the same problem:
    Security of Web Services, Agents and Sequantial Calling of Web Services
    How can I pass the SAML tokens(propagate identity) along the business process. If I insert SAML token as part of the agent's response steps, the response is not actually passed to the next service but the BPEL. Will the next service receive the SAML token?
    I really appreciate any comments and hints.
    Best Regards,
    Farbod

    Can message handler framework in BPEL Security extension help for this? Does enabling domain and process level security do the trick?
    Regards
    Farbod

  • Is it possible to Forward to another adf page in ReturnListener method?

    There is button in the page. It is used to pop up a dialog. After the dialog is returned. The ReturnListener of the button is triggered. I want to forward to another adf page in the ReturnListener.
    I searched the forum and found the following page:
    Re: Forward to another adf page from inside onPageLoad event
    I tried all the methods mentioned above, but all of them failed.
    Is there any other solutions?
    Regards,
    Jason

    I had the same problem with a return listener on a commandmenuitem. The navigation doesn't work because there is no partial submit.
    The workaround is to construct a menu item from a commandlink and objectimage. It looks and works the same as the commandmenuitem but you can set partialsubmit=true.
    For example:
    <af:panelGroup layout="vertical">
    <af:panelHorizontal>
    <af:objectSpacer width="10" height="10"/>
    <af:commandLink id="linkButIcon" useWindow="true"
    action="dialog:GoLinkedMatters"
    windowHeight="#{backing_app_ea_LinkedMatters.windowHeight}"
    windowWidth="#{backing_app_ea_LinkedMatters.windowWidth}"
    returnListener="#{backing_app_summary_DPSummary.linkedMattersReturn}"
    partialSubmit="true">
    <af:objectImage source="/images/link.gif"/>
    </af:commandLink>
    </af:panelHorizontal>
    <af:commandLink id="linkButLink"
    useWindow="true"
    textAndAccessKey="#{res['esolve.toolbar.links']}"
    action="dialog:GoLinkedMatters"
    windowHeight="#{backing_app_ea_LinkedMatters.windowHeight}"
    windowWidth="#{backing_app_ea_LinkedMatters.windowWidth}"
    returnListener="#{backing_app_summary_DPSummary.linkedMattersReturn}"
    inlineStyle="font-size:8.0pt;"
    partialSubmit="true"/>
    </af:panelGroup>

  • ADF EBS Integration - How to open the ADF page in new tab or window

    Hi,
        We are building ADF custom applications and want to integrate them with EBS R12 (12.1.3) through Responsibilities and Menus.
    We have achieved session sharing and launching the Custom ADF app from EBS menu. The problem is, the Custom ADF page opens in the same page.
    Is there anyway to open the ADF application in new tab or window while launching from EBS Menu ?
    Highly appreciate your help on this.

  • Some ADF pages are broken on old firefox browser in Linux OS

    Hi all,
    Recently few of the ADF pages in my area are reported to be broken in old firefox browser running on RHEL 5 64 bit OS.
    Firefox version: 3.6.26 (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.26) Gecko/20120131 Oracle/3.6-1.0.1.el5_7 Firefox/3.6.26)
    Triaging the issue I found that for all broken pages the page is refreshed again after complete load and URL for second load has a malformed escaped string appended which I suspect might be causing this issue.
    URL for first load:
    http://adc4120388.us.oracle.com:15227/em/faces/ai/ess/listSchedules?target=%2FFarm_WLS_SOA%2FWLS_SOA%2Fess_server1%2FESSAPP&type=scheduler_service&appContext=enabledApp&Adf-Rich-Message=true&unique=1362573084657&oracle.adf.view.rich.STREAM=emT:searchResults:schedulesTable&Adf-Page-Id=6&javax.faces.ViewState=!8wifg1j3&Adf-Window-Id=w1
    URL for second load:
    http://adc4120388.us.oracle.com:15227/em/faces/ai/ess/listSchedules?target=%2FFarm_WLS_SOA%2FWLS_SOA%2Fess_server1%2FESSAPP&type=scheduler_service&appContext=enabledApp&Adf-Rich-Message=true&unique=1362573084657&oracle.adf.view.rich.STREAM=emT:searchResults:schedulesTable&Adf-Page-Id=6&javax.faces.ViewState=!8wifg1j3&Adf-Window-Id=w1#!6%40%2Fai%2Fess%2FlistSchedules%40%3Ftarget%3D%252FFarm_WLS_SOA%252FWLS_SOA%252Fess_server1%252FESSAPP%26type%3Dscheduler_service%26appContext%3DenabledApp
    Additional malformed string in second reload URL:
    #!6%40%2Fai%2Fess%2FlistSchedules%40%3Ftarget%3D%252FFarm_WLS_SOA%252FWLS_SOA%252Fess_server1%252FESSAPP%26type%3Dscheduler_service%26appContext%3DenabledApp
    Note that this happens only in the above mentioned firefox browser in Linux OS, this second reload was not happening in my windows latest firefox browser (v 15.0.1), and hence these pages were coming up fine.
    Is this kind of behavior a known issue? Or any hints on what could be causing this second reload?
    Thanks,
    Rahul

    Hi,
    you would need to file a service request with support and provide a test case for this problem to be analyzed by development. For this you need a support contract. Depending on the JDeveloper version you use, it may be that this old browser hasn't been tested. Also note that with 12c we probably start de-supporting old browsers like this.

  • Tasklist taskflow causing ADF page to be blank

  • Web Center app with ADF Security - login problem

    I have a custome Oracle Web Center app.
    I have a page.html with an embedded login form posting to j_security_check. I've configured the ADF security policies to redirect to a JSPX on successful login.
    When I try the correct username/password, I get redirected not to the page I defined in ADF, but to the root page http://127.0.0.1:7101/MyApp-ViewController-context-root/
    and i get
    Error 403--Forbidden
    I've checked the weblogic.xml as per http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2009/12/solving-error-403-forbidden-in-adf.html, all the required entries are there.
    This works fine if i use a Login link with
    destination="#{'/adfAuthentication?login=true&amp;end_url=/faces/postLogin.jspx'} "
    which redirects to the default login.html and then to the right page. I've copied the form from the default login.html into my master HTML page.
    Hope my question is clear. Any suggestions why it is going to the wrong URL after login.
    Is there anything specific I should see in the jazn-data.xml or web.xml regarding the post-login URL since i cant see that in either.
    P.S. Have been advised to try here when I originally asked this in the WebCenter forum. Web Center app ADF Security - login problem

    Thanks for your response Frank.
    The web.xml has
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>adfAuthentication</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>/adfAuthentication</url-pattern>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <role-name>valid-users</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    <login-config>
    <auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
    <form-login-config>
    <form-login-page>/login.html</form-login-page>
    <form-error-page>/error.html</form-error-page>
    </form-login-config>
    </login-config>
    When configuring ADF Security via JDev , I chose "Redirect upon successful authentication" to the Welcome Page
    "/faces/postLogin.jspx"
    this then adds into web.xml
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>adfAuthentication</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>oracle.adf.share.security.authentication.AuthenticationServlet</servlet-class>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>success_url</param-name>
    <param-value>/faces/postLogin.jspx</param-value>
    </init-param>
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
    So the sequence which works is:
    Login via the '/adfAuthentication?login=true&end_url=/faces/postLogin.jspx' and this redirects to login.html (OOTB form which posts to j_security_check) and then to the postLogin.jspx
    I'm trying to do away with a Login link, and trying the simple login form embedded in my page alongwith other content.
    So should the form be posting to j_security_check directly or to the adfAuthentication ?

  • Opening ADF page from java script

    I am trying to use window.open(url, winName) to open an ADF page from java script.
    I have set the same winName but when i call the window.open method every time it opens up a new window.
    The code is as below:
    <html>
    <head>
    </head>
    <body>
    <script>
    function openwin() {
    window.open("about:blank", "winDocPrint", "width=800,height=600,location=no");
    </script>
    <form action="http://127.0.0.1:7101/RegionRefresh-ViewController-context-root/faces/EnterAndDisplay?_afrLoop=3611588465186&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=zoaas2mc3_4" target="winDocPrint" onsubmit="openwin">
    <input type="submit" value="Print Comments Call ADF">
    </form>
    </body>
    </html>
    when I click the button first time, it opens a new window, and keeps opening a new windows on clicking the button again.
    I want it to use the same window that was opened first time.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sandeep M.

  • Implementing Security For ADF Pages when integrated with Oracle APPS

    Hi,
    Can anyone please let me know the solution to the below problem ?
    I have an ADF application that is deployed on a weblogic server. An URL is generated to access the ADF Pages.
    I have created one more simple jsp (Launch.jsp) which redirects to this URL on page load.
    I am using Oracle APPS where:
    ->I registered a form function referring to Launch.jsp
    ->I am referring form function in a responsibility , attaching that to a menu
    ->When the valid oracle user logs in, I am sending all oracle apps environment variables (User id , Responsibility id, application id ) for that session
    What my issue is :
    ->The URL along with the parameters that I am sending from the Launch.jsp to the ADF Page is visible to the user. So, even if the Oracle APPS user has not logged in, anybody who knows the URL can access the ADF Pages.
    ->So, Is there any way to implement the security so as, even if anyone knows the URL of the ADF Page cannot access the ADF Pages without the valid user being logged-in through the Oracle APPS.
    I am using Jdeveloper 11g.
    Please let me know if you need anymore details.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kavitha

    Please help me out if anyone has a solution to this problem.
    Thanks,
    Kavitha

  • Can't See Pages/States. Only States.

    I have created some artwork in Illustrator CS5 to import into FC and after doing so, I notice that I do not have Pages/States, only States. I believe that this is hindering me to make my buttons function properly. I will go into more detail just in case there may be another problem.
    I import my Illustrator artwork into FC. I have my layers named very well with one for my background, my buttons, my logo, and my content. I copy the original state and rename each state to match my buttons, i.e., Home, Gallery, About, Contact. When I convert my buttons, which are vectors, to the button component, I set the up, over, down, and disabled state. The problem is, is that it changes on every state, which I believe should be pages, and I cannot differentiate the buttons between the states. In other words, if I change it on one state, whether it be Home, Gallery, About, or Contact, it changes on all of them. Another mystery is that when I go to "Add Interaction" and set one of the buttons to "play transition to state", when I choose "target" to select the state, there are no states to select. I have to select "Application" and then choose the appropriate state, as if it is an application.
    I hope that this makes sense. Please let me know if you need additional information and thank you in advance for your help. This is frustrating.
    Deric Cain

    Under the hood, Flash Catalyst has marked your button to be the same in all the states. If I understand you problem correctly, you need to clone your button to look and have different interactions on each of your application's main states. One quick way to do this is on each of the other states, select the button, then simply Cut and re-paste it. This will create a new instance of the button that is independent from the others. Then you are free to change it without affecting the other 'like' buttons on the other states.

  • Error when running applet in a adf page (but succeed in html)

    Hi all
    I have a movie player applet and want to put it in my web page.
    I tried with html and the applet work just fine. Here is my code:
    <applet code=SimplePlayerApplet width=320 height=300>
    <param name=file value="Unknown2.mov">
    </applet>
    However, when I put it in adf page, nothing is displayed:
    <jsp:plugin code="SimplePlayerApplet.class" codebase="." type="applet" align="middle" width="320" height="300" jreversion="1.6" >
    <jsp:params>
    <jsp:param name="file" value="Unknown2.mov" />
    </jsp:params>
    <jsp:fallback>
    <p>This plugin can't be loaded</p>
    </jsp:fallback>
    </jsp:plugin>
    The html page and the jspx page I put in the same directory structure.
    And link to html: http://127.0.0.1:7101/JMFStudio-Project1-context-root/htmlTest.html
    Link to the jspx: http://127.0.0.1:7101/JMFStudio-Project1-context-root/faces/untitled1.jspx
    So I tried changing codebase to "/faces" but nothing happens.
    Any suggestion? should I put codebase as "." ??
    Thanks a lot.

    I use the verbatim tag, or use the <jsp:plugin> as above with the code attribute specified without ".class" the applet is loaded ( I can tell as there is loading media panel of the applet displayed ). However the movie is never played.
    <f:verbatim>
    <applet code="SimplePlayerApplet" width="320" height="300">
    <param name="file" value="Unknown2.mov" />
    </applet>
    </f:verbatim>
    It seems that the movie file is not found??
    If I view source code of the page, I see the code generated as follow
    - <f:verbaim><applet>..... : <applet code="SimplePlayerApplet" width="320" height="300"><param name="file" value="2.mov"/></applet>
    -<jsp:plugin> : <EMBED type="application/x-java-applet;version=1.6" pluginspage="" code="SimplePlayerApplet" codebase="." align="middle" archive="" hspace="" name="" vspace="" title="" height="300" width="320" file="Unknown2.mov" >
    <NOEMBED><p>This plugin can't be loaded.</p></NOEMBED></EMBED>
    Is there any issue of loading file source with adf page? Previously I encountered the similar issue when trying to embed a plain movie file into a adf page. I used <embed> or <object> tag inside the verbatim tag. But there is nothing displayed in the browser. (I suspect the problem with the loading of file source as when I replace the movie source (which is stored locally) by a url to a video on the internet, it worked fine)
    Any suggestion? how do I debug this?
    Thanks a lot.
