Admin console for our sites is gone!

When I try to log into one of our sites in BC, I receive this message: Cannot find the server or the Resource can't be found (404 error)
Where is our BC site?

One problem with this site may be that I added a Site Redirect (maybe incorrectly). But with the Admin console gone, I can't fix it.
It also doesn't explain why our second site has disappeared.
How do I get our old Admin URL back if I accidentally added the redirect (dualenrollment.bethelu.edu)?

Experiencing extreme slowness of the Admin console for any function in Weblogic 12.1.1.
Configuration is Admin server plus 28 JMS servers - no nodemanager - all on the same server.
When I bring up Admin console alone response is quick but bringing up JMS servers one by one will slow it down.
I did not experience this problem when this configuration was in Weblogic 9.
Memory configuration is -Xms4g, -Xmx4g.
Any ideas what else I should check ?

Collect multiple thread dump at the interval of 10 sec and check what the threads are doing .
Thread dumps will give you some information about why there is a slowness .

Admin console for connector doesn't work

          I deployed the sample connector "BlackBoxNoTx.rar" under
          wlserver6.1_beta\samples\examples\jconnector\simple.
          There's no error. but in admin console for deployments/connector,
          I can not see any configuration info(such as JNDI name)under monitoring. It always
          display blank.
          Is it a known bug?

The language problem is a mystery. Maybe that's why your password doesn't work anymore - just a thought.
However Reset Password is found in the menu bar on the Installer application.
Then you may have a chance to select the hard drive, and then your user name.

If by "admin console" you mean the Telnet Console Administrator, you can start it by opening the SAP Management Console directly from the shortcut on your desktop, then going to J2EE Process Table under the corresponding instance in the console tree, right-clicking on the icm process -> J2EE Telnet. Or you can start it directly by typing
<i>telnet localhost 5<instanceNumber>08</i>
in a console window. For a default installation the port is 50008.

Uploading war through admin console for a deployer-role user

We have a weblogic 9 server installed in a linux machine. We have created two users - one administrator and another deployer. Admin console is accessed through an external machine. When logged in as an administrator, we are able to upload a war into the server from our local machine. But for the deployer we are unable to find the "Browse" button to upload the war. But he is able to browse the server machine and upload the war from the server.
Is it possible for the deployer to upload a war from his local machine to the server through admin console?

Setting 'transport-guarantee' to CONFIDENTIAL or INTEGRAL in web.xml. With that set, WebLogic Server will automatically redirect a client to the HTTPS port if the original request was over HTTP.
The 'transport-guarantee' element specifies the type of communication with the client application on the WebLogic server.
The value of this element is either NONE, INTEGRAL, or CONFIDENTIAL. NONE means that the application does not require any transport guarantees. A value of INTEGRAL means that the application requires that the data sent between the client and server be sent in such a way that it cannot be changed in transit. CONFIDENTIAL means that the application requires that the data be transmitted in a way that prevents other entities from observing the contents of the transmission. The presence of the INTEGRAL or CONFIDENTIAL flag indicates that the use of SSL is required.
So I dont think it is possible for now.

"File not Found" error in the admin console for dimension

Hi All,
We are onto the BPC7 MS version and recently we have started facing an error "File Not Found" while trying to access the dimension members from the admin console.
I have checked the "adminapp" folder where all the dimension files should be placed in the system, the files are present in the folder.
The mbr<DIMENSION> tables are also present in the database and have the members intact.
I have also tried with processing the dimensions (NOT processing from the membersheet) and it goes successful, but still face the same "File Not Found" Error.
We have a single appset and a single application.

I am recieving this message for all the dimensions, even when I click on the "maintain dimension members", try to process or even try to copy them i have this pop up showing "file not found".
I have the dimension tables intact at the DB servers and they have the members in them.

I have set jdk path under serverstart menu of weblogic ,included classpath and preclasspath in setDomainEnv.cmd and have also inculded java_options under startweblogic.cmd ,still system tools tab do no appear.

set CLASSPATH=<Path to the sites installation directory>;%CLASSPATH%
set PRE_CLASSPATH=C:\bea\domains\CS\WEB-INF\lib\commons-lang-2.4.jar;%PRE_CLASSPATH%
please check the paths as per your installation directories.
restart server then check, it should come.

Well guys,
Just as an FYI, I have failed to notice that the default installation makes the admin console gui running on port 4849 secure!
So, after following the directions and connecting to:
http://localhost:4849without any success, it is actually a secure port! Therefore,
https://localhost:4849works properly!
I open my mouth only to change feet.

The bookmark icons for specific sites are gone. How do I get them back.

The text of the bookmark is ok, but the little icon is a blank box. What happened?

Do you still see the favicon on the Tab bar if you open such a bookmark in a Firefox tab?
Websites that do not have a favicon show an empty square instead in current Firefox versions.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Feature request for SCCM 2012 Admin Console

Can anyone provide a link to submit SCCM 2012 feature requests? All I could find is 2007.
I'd like to see a column added to the admin console for primary user and/or last logon user. I realize there are scripts for queries, but a column would be more useful. Short of that, adding either of those to the Search Criteria options would be helpful.

SCCM 2012 R2 CU3 UPGRADE BROKE REMOTE ADMIN CONSOLE CONNECTIVITY

I installed SCCM 2012 R2 CU3 on my site server but it broke a couple things. I've never had problems with SCCM upgrades before. The admin console works if you log into the site server and run it from there but not when you try it from anywhere else (another
server or a workstation). When you open the admin console on the site server it does have the new version of 5.00.7958.1401. Of the five suggestions that appear when your console won't connect, here's what I know:
1) the remote machines can all ping the site server (call it server 01)
2) we know it's not my account that's a problem as I can open the console on the site server itself
3) This problem happens on server 02, which I put the new admin console on. It also happens with other machines which still have the CU2 console
4) Yes, I'm an admin role, shown by logging into the console on the site server
5) I have another network where everything works. I have not put CU3 on it yet, of course. The WMI permissions on Root, Root\SMS, and Root\SMS\site_ABC are identical on both site servers yet it works on non-upgraded one and not on the upgraded one.
WMI info-I can WMI connect from the site server to these other machines but not WMI connect from the other machines to the site server: not root, SMS, or SMS\site_ABC, nor cimv2, even though the permissions match what is on the working network.
When I launch the console from the site server entries about loading the console loading ok are in SMSAdminUI.log, but when I try to launch the console from other machines no entries are made, even though I changed the SmsAdminSNapIN value to VERBOSE.
I checked DCOM permissions and they are the same on both networks.
Another issue that appeared with this upgrade: I can install the client upgrade to CU3 on other machines but on the site server it fails with "Internal Error 2503" and when you click OK it you get "Internal Error 2502".

I'd suspected this WMI problem was only affecting our Server 2012 boxes. I compared RSOPs and noticed the ones having this problem were all under the same OU and getting few GPOs. Our GPO person found a GPO that has somehow become unlinked. He relinked
it. After a gpo update AND a reboot these machines start working again. So CU3 did not cause this WMI after all.
And yes, the CU2 consoles won't connect to a CU3 site server, you have to run the console upgrade.
I fixed the "internal error 2503/2502" by doing this: open task manager, click details, end the explorer task (screen will look blank at first). Click File and select "start new task", enter "explorer.exe' and click the run as admin
button. The msp for CU3 client installed and the screen looks normal again. I only saw this error on the site server and have never seen it before.

SCCM Console on Secondary Site 2012 R2

I just want to ask whether it is supported or not when install SCCM Console on Secondary Site Server in 2012 R2? I've searched over internet but does not find a conclusion about that.
From technet SCCM Console requirement and interoperability, there is no information that restrict install console from Secondary Site Server, but this link say it is not supported:

I've seen it working with multiple customer. Also, I can imagine that it wouldn't be a supported scenario, purely because it's not tested (both new installations as upgrades).

Users in the admin console

I am trying to define granular access to the admin console to our developers. They
want to see the deployment status for applications, however. Unless I add them
to the Deployers group they cannot see it. I do not want them to have access to
deploy or undeploy but I want them to be able to look at the application components
and see if they are deployed etc.
Are there any ACLs I can add to allow this? Any Roles or Policies?

In 8.1, mbean access is based on roles so there is not that level of
granularity. You may be able
to write a webapp or ejb that restricts access based on roles and policies
and then performs
a runas with an admin user to get the information from the mbeans.

Can't log onto Admin console, Can't pay overdue invoice, website deactivated - No Support possible!!

Hello there!
As the title says, I basically can't do anything right now, and BC support hasn't really been able to help me when I asked about this previously here in the forums (when the website was still active, which it now no longer is). When trying to log onto the Admin console all I get is: "ERROR: This site is currently unavailable. For more information please contact: (My name)." And yes, I'm the administrator. I created the website using Adobe Muse and published it using that. There has been no other party involved, except for Godaddy.com where I bought the domain.
Unlike I've been told it should be, I do not get and never got a form to fill in my payment details upon logging onto the admin console.
I also get and did get that exact above error message when trying to submit a support ticket, so the only place I've been able to ask at is here.
As I mentioned in my earlier post, I wasn't able to correct my credit card details when the card was no longer valid because I was on vacation, and somehow didn't manage to access that menu on mobile. A week later, I got another email, telling me that all admin services have been disabled until I pay the invoice. At this point I started getting the above error message. Now, another few weeks later the website itself has been deactivated - I still can't pay the invoice.
As I'm not very used to doing the whole setup of a website, I definitely don't want to spend that time again, but simply just want to pay the overdue invoice!

However, I can see that the site you may be referring to is set to bill the partner directly. Therefore you will need to log into the admin console of this site as the partner user, and you will then be prompted with a payment form to pay the outstanding invoice. It appears that [email protected] is the partner user assigned to this portal, so please try logging in as that user.
