  • Regarding Background color change in OIM admin and user console

    Hi all,
I tried to change the Background color and Text modification in Login Page,Register Page of OIM Adminstration and user console.
As per the Oracle® Fusion Middleware Developer's Guide for Oracle Identity Manager 11g guide i did Style Sheet Modifications.I created the skin the trinidad-skins.xml and myskin.css in admin.war and iam-consoles0faces.war.Even after it not reflecting on oim admin and user console.
After modifiacetions i cleared purgecache.sh as well as tmp [$DOMAIN_ROOT/servers/oim_server1/tmp/] directory.
I think i have done modifications in wrong way.Can anyone please suggest me to do the correct modifications as soon possible.
    Regards,
    Karthick.

    Hi Kevin,
    Thanks,
I am not able recall any major change.
All i can recall is changing some files for customization like changing some text through filexlWebApp.war and i also i have not i am still to run patch utility. I guess this should not be the reason.
Which configuration file i should look for this ?

  • Customising the admin and user console

I want to customise the Admin and User Console for helpdesk users. Therfore I want them to have create user and manage user menu access. I have created a helpdesk user group and assigned create and manage menu items. When I logon as the helpdesk user I can see the menu items, however if I do a search for users, no records are found. Likewise if I create a user, organisations are not found on the organisations lookup. I have tried assigning various privileges for the group but with no success. Am I missing something obvious?
    Thanks
    Dave

For HelpDesk admin to be able to search for users, he/she need to be Organization Admin for the company for which they can search for users. For instance, if you have Organizations : ABC, XYZ in your OIM instance and you want HelDesk admin to be able to search for users within "ABC", then the corresponding group has to be an admin for "ABC". To do this, search for the Organization and assign Administrators using the option available in the Organization profile page drop-down.
Once the above task is done, you should be able to search and also assign the Organization to newly created user.
    Hope this helps,

  • Implementing administrator and user account

How to i implement this functionality into an adf 11 fusion application.
I have a login screen with user name and password I enter the username wich happens to be an administrator so he has privilages to modify all tables
.( i go to the next page in the task flow setting a global variable(admin = true);)
and now I should let all tables updatable, but what do I do if the user is not an admin ,I would like to make all columns of the tables read only except one.How do I do this?
Are these any design patterns for this. How did you implement the administrator and simple user or user with some privileges in your application.
    Thanks

Most of us use ADF Security implementing as described here:
    http://wiki.oracle.com/page/ADF+Security
The four first links are all tutorial-videos.
When you got ADF Security ready you can do that column to be read-only with a simple EL on the read-only atributte like this:
    #{securityContext.userInRole['USER']}
This will make the column read-only for all users.

  • Cisco ISE - Computer and User Authenticiation on AD for Wireless Clients.

    Hello all,
I am trying to configure Cisco ISE to authenticate/authorize Wireless access with PEAP MsChapv2.
The AD user authorization works fine, but I cannot see on the logs a challenge for the computer verification (it must be a domain member).
I have found an attribute I would use for this action, but I cannot use it, because I don't see the challenge for the computer challenge.
Can you explain me if this fact is involved by the ISE configuration or by the client configuration ?
Thanks a lot for your help.
The followings screenshots show the logs appearing in the ISE :
    Kind regards, Emeric.

This is a great question and I wanted to add my input and I have a question as well. My understanding in order to do both Machine and User EAP-Chaining is required, which used EAP-FAST.
In my testing, when a domain box is configured for computer/user authentication. When the laptop started up it will authenticate with a host/ and sid in the log.
When the user logs in you then see the user ID.
For my benefit when rule are you talking about ?
    Thank you

  • Oracle9iAS Containers for J2EE user's guide doc

where can i found it? i need it to know how to config server.xml
and application.xml, the otn dont have it but other pdf refer to
    it, it is really sick.

    Dear SP,
The oc4j docs work on the assumption that you will use the
admin.jar or oem to deploy your applications. When you do this,
the server.xml and application.xml are automatically modified.
You can also look at the docs at orion
    http://www.orionserver.com/docs/index.html
There's some bits on the server.xml and orion-application.xml
(the application.xml in the config directory).
    These should help you.
The server.xml file is used to point to the enterprise
application ear files. In addition, the *-web-site.xml files are
also pointed to in this file.
The config/applicatiom.xml is also pointed to in the server.xml.
This is the orion-application.xml file for the default
application, the mother of all applications in oc4j/orion. From
this file you point to any web-module's or ejb-modules which are
    used by the default application.
If you use the admin.jar or oem or even jdeveloper you won't
have to do this, since these can deploy your enterprise
    applications in oc4j for you.

  • IPhoto User's Guide

Is there a user's guide (PDF) for IPhoto '11 like Apple provides for a lot of it's software? I couldn't find one on the web page anywhere. Thanks!

No. Give the Help file a look at. It's got a lot of excellent tips. There are 3rd party books on iPhoto like The Missing Manual: David Pogue.
Some of it is online here: iPhoto '09: The Missing Manual: Safari Books Online where you can see the index and some chapters.

  • BitLocker Administration and Monitoring Reports Error

When attempting to run Reports through the Administration and Monitoring console I receive the following error...
"The report server cannot open a connection to the report server database. A connection to the database is required for all requests and processing. (rsReportServerDatabaseUnavailable)"...
What or how can I verify the connection between the report server and report server database (SQL Database Server) is occurring. Also, which logs can I review to determine what's causing this error...

    Hi,
go to your Report Server and check if there is an MBAM Folder. Within that Folder you can check the DataSource and verify the target db and Connection Details.

  • Doc for plug-ins

    Hi all,
This is more of a "design/structural" than a "what button do
    I press" question.
I have a rather large application that has a "base" .chm file
associated with it (already quite huge). Our customers may also
purchase plug-ins, but won't necessarily all have the same set. So
while one user's application may look like this:
    Main-app
    +plug-in A
    +plug-in B
    another's may look like this:
    Main-app
    +plug-in A
    +plug-in E
I distribute a .chm file with the main-app.
In the table of contents for my main app's .chm file, I'd
like to have a section called "Plug-Ins" that could be dynamically
populated. I'd like to achieve that by distributing a small set of
help with each plug-in that could be 'dropped' into a help
directory and extend the help system after restarting.
Since we're dealing with compiled help systems, I think I
already know the answer. I don't think this is possible right now,
but has anyone had a similar problem/solution? Any options for
    dynamic loading at runtime?
    Alternately:
    1) If I have to do separate .chm files for the main-app and
each plug-in, can I at least force them to open in the same help
    window?
    2) If I have separate .chm files, I'd like to have
cross-references from the plug-in projects to the main-app project.
Are cross project references possible without entangling the two
component projects? (I'd be fine if the links in the plug-in help
didn't work if used without the Main-app help in place.)
    Thanks in advance,
    -Greg

    Thanks again, Elisa & Anne.
Wanted to give you an update.
I think you're right, copying the target .chm to the current
project is just for setting up the cross references. However, if I
have lots of subprojects, this will make for a nightmare on
Windows, given that I have to copy a 25 or 30 Mb file into each
subproject just to do cross-reference. (If I could set up a unix
type link on a windows box, that problem would go away, but
    alas...)
So I've arrived at the following choices:
    1) Stick with a .chm for the main project, create stubs for
each plug-in project, but don't do any cross referencing between
projects. <<sigh>> This lets me have a single TOC, and
I can distribute doc for each plug-in separately, so it looks like
one system. I'd then always regenerate the master project to get an
    updated .h file.
    -or-
    2) Looking at a merged Webhelp project. I've been posting
over in that forum, and have already tried the process using some
ideas on Peter Grainge's site. The advantages are that you can do
true cross project references, distribute new projects without
having to create stubs in the "main" project, plus you get true
cross platform compatibility. I'm sorting out how to merge .h files
and use them to call help sections in webhelp, but if that works, I
may have to tease things apart and go that route.
So while not a 100% success, I've at least found the
boundaries, and I can decide what to do.
Thanks very much for all your help!
    -Greg

  • System and user status to BW

    Hi all,
I need to bring system and user statusses to BW (for wbs-elements and cs/pm orders). I'm fairly new to BW and I cannot find any business content regarding statusses. I have varying reporting needs where these statusses are important. Are there any pitfalls in bringing jest and jcds tables to BW. What would be the most logical place to put this information in: ODS-object or infocube? I want to do an initial full load of all these objects with their current status and status history. After that, I want to weekly load   the delta's.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Ciao,
    Peter

Hi Peter and welcome to the SDN!
well depending on your needs, you can extract all status information coming from jest and/or jcds, tj02 and/or tj30 using generic extraction and posting it into a ODS firstly. Additionally please check note 300300 from SAP. It describes how to add the status information to infoobjects.

  • CATALYST 2820, console port config for modem

    Hi,
I’m a 2nd semester CCNA student, and I purchased a old CATALYST 2820 switch for training purposes. I do not know the password and the console port has been configured for a modem. I thought that it would be easy to reset the password—but cannot find any way to do it with the 2820, and the console port configured for a modem.
Does anyone know what the default factory password is? If the password has been changed (from the factory default), how can I reset the system?
    Thanks!

    I appreciate your help!
I did look at that link several times—my 2820 has a mfg. date of Sept 97. I held in the Mode button, but the LED above port 1x does not come on (held it in for over a minute). I never see any info. using the console port.
I did try attaching a modem to the console port—it works—I get a login prompt. I don’t know if it is the factory default password. I know that the rollover cable is working—tried a 827-4v.
    Am I doing something wrong???
    Thanks, David

  • How do I Coordinate User ID & Group ID for Accounts on 3 Computers?

My G5 & MBP accounts were set up with myself (JMB) as Admin Account & my wife (PCB) as a Standard Account.
The Ethernet LAN works seamlessly between these 2 computers.
Her new iMac was set up with PCB as Admin & JMB as a Standard Account.
We cannot transfer files from or to the iMac over our Ethernet LAN (" Insufficient privileges")
The UID/GID on each computer are:
    G5 JMB 501/501 PCB 502/502
    MBP JMB 501/501 PCB 502/20
    iMac JMB 502/20 PCB 501/20
Is there a reference article which will describe the process to be used to coordinate the UID/GID numbers?
Do both UID and GID's have to be the same to allow transfer of files?
    Many thanks!
    ...John

Open Sharing preferences. If File Sharing is enabled, then you should see a column list displaying two columns: Shared Folders and Users. In order for someone to access anything on the computer you must "share" it. You can Add [+] a shared folder in the left column. Alternatively, select a drive or folder on your hard drive, press COMMND-I to open the Get Info window, then check the box labeled "Shared." Either way these items will appear in the left column in File Sharing configuration. You can then select an item, then set the desired privileges in the second column.
Do not go fooling around changing UIDs and GIDs. These are reserved by the system and assigned by it. If you make changes to these items it could screw up access for your entire machine.
