Administrator privileges are required to install Creative Cloud Update

This refers to Windows 7 / 8 & 8.1 64 bit :::
I have found a FIX to this annoying problem. ( Who said computers and software are getting better?
Not true, I would say worse. Long time user from MS Dos days )
Go to Control Panel:
Programs:
Uninstall Adobe Application Manager
Log on to Adobe Downloads and download and install Adobe Application Manager
Run the exe file as Administrator.
Hope this helps

Nice tip. Thanks for sharing.

  • Administrator privilege are required to install Adobe Master CS5.5

    Hi All,
    This is Tom. I'm logged in as local administrator to Windows 7 64bit OS and everytime I tried to install CS5.5 Master I kept getting this message, "Administrator privilege are required to install". Do you have any suggestion? I can install any program but just not CS5.5.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Tom

    Hi Mylenium,
    Thanks for your advice.
    I could not find the log in "\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers", it only shows log file from my previous installation of Adobe CS3.
    I can see this file \Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Temp\PDApp.log with some errors like
    23:11:19 [ERROR] LWANative - OOBElib returned error: 34

  • Why am i getting an error saying administrative privileges are required?

    Why am i getting an error saying administrative privileges are required?

    Because administrative priviliges are required? We can't know anything because you haven't provided any relevant info. We don't know what program you are referriung to or what system as well as whether or not you are actualyl operating under a user account with sufficient user privileges...

  • Unable to install Creative Cloud Updates

    Adobe Illustrator CS6 Update (version 16.2.0)

    That enough information? After chasing around the Adobe Help system for an hour and a half today and not being able to contact anyone at all yesterday when this forst started occuring, I'm kinda getting annoyed
    Then getting on here and finding that my screen name (my own name, registered with Adobe and on the forums) isn't available, one could be excused for an excess of peevishness, I hope.

    I finally found a solution that worked!
    I had to find the adobe logs to understand what happened, and found this error "information not found in Media_db".
    Here's the location of the solution: Re: Getting fatal Exit Code 34 when installing an app
    And here's the answer copied and pasted from the page. I have windows 8 64 bit, but this solution worked for me. The downside was that it said many of my applications weren't installed in the CC app, so I had to hit reinstall on many of them, but everything installed and updated correctly after this.
    I had the very same problem, and I am using windows 7 too. After chat with the adobe tech support. He showed me how to fix the problem.
    Also, I tried the clean tool already. That didn't help.
    Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe   if you use 32bit system I think it would be C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe
    Change 3 folder name.
    Adobe PCD -> Adobe PCDold
    backup -> backupold
    caps -> capsold
    Then run the setup file again.
    This method worked for me. Hope that would work for you also and save you some time.

  • Tried to install creative cloud update on windows 8.1.  Got error code 50.  Tried again then unistalled old creative cloud and tried new install. got error code 50 again.

    Creative Cloud is failing to install (error code 50)  Does anyone know how to fix this?  I'm on Windows 8.1.  It was previously installed and requested update.  The update failed with same code.

  • Attempting to install creative cloud update. fails with error code 87. Where do I find an unfinished install?

    I have received the error code 87 when attempting to update Creative Cloud. I had previously received an update for Acrobat Pro (not the CC version), and the install failed. Now I cannot install any Adobe product. How do I resolve this issue? Rather important that there is not a long delay.

    If you are on windows computer, Open Task manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys
    Locate and end all Adobe related processes, like Creative Cloud, Core sync, AAM update notifier, Acrobat updater, AdobeArm, Acrotray, Adobe installer.
    Then try

  • Creative Cloud notification "Administration rights are required-" but nowhere to enter credentials

    I told Creative Cloud (the menubar balloon) to go ahead and install CC 2014 updates, and left the computer to update. Later, I had to reboot the computer due to a power failure (all items now show as "Up to date" in the Apps tab). But I'm getting Notifications every 10 seconds saying, "Creative Cloud. Administration rights are required to complete Adobe Add-ons installation or removal." I'm happy to provide those credentials, but there is nowhere to type them! I've looked in all the tabs in the Creative Cloud balloon, and displayed all windows (so it's not hidden under something else).
    SOLUTION: I quit Creative Cloud, then opened Creative Cloud again. The notifications are no longer displaying, and applications are all up to date. Apparently something was confused by the power outage.

    What happened yesterday may have been caused by the SOPA protest action that was joined by a lot of sites yesterday and such an action won't happen that often.

  • Problem With Installing Creative Cloud

    Every time I try to install Creative Cloud, this message pops up saying, "Adminitrative privileges are required to continue with installation."  I Am on the administrator account and i'm not sure what I should do. Does anyone know how to deal with this?

    Hi Magenta1234,
    You wrote "Every time I try to install Creative Cloud, "
    How many times do you need to install Creative Cloud ? Ideally it is a one time process, once installed you can access it from the task bar (in Windows) and on top-right of Mac (Near the clock).
    message pops up saying, "Adminitrative privileges are required to continue with installation."
    The prompt you may be getting could be of UAC (user access control) set on your computer. Which is a windows features.

    If you want you can turn off this feature fro Control panel.

  • Administration rights are required

    Hi, Ever since the recent upgrade to CC2014 I'm getting a dialog box saying:
    Creative Cloud
    Administration rights are required to complete
    Adobe Add-ons installation or removal.
    I then have to enter my administration password every morning and it's a pain.
    Any ideas how to stop this.
    Thanks for your help

    Same basic problem. Every morning I get the "Administration rights are required to complete Adobe Add-ons installation or removal" notice and it pops up everytime an Adobe CC 2014 app opens.
