Administrator's notifications to end users.

Hello,
we do not have portal, but would like to know is there any simple solution to include admin's notifications to end users on the page of the transaction bbpglobal.
I would like to have it on the left side of the page, under the long descriptions of the transactions.
TIA
Gordan

Hello Gordan,
With transaction SM02, you can define system messages. They can appear in first screen after logon if you define it the logon configuration of service bbpstart.
IIs that what you are looking for ?

  • Push Notifications to end users and Conditional Success Screen Name ?

    Hi,
    Scenario: PO Approval
Description: I am developing a PO approval application with 3 levels of approval. The HWC application is based on the push notification ( DCN with payload ). When a PO ( Purchase Order ) is created/modified the end user will get the notification. Once the first 2 levels of approval is done from the mobile devices the notification should reach the 3rd level for approval. And Conditional Based Users only View there Profiles, If an User1 Approved PO Approval then only User2 Will get Push Notification but  for User3 it will not Visible, Oncethe User2 Approved then Only User3 will get Push Notifications and these 3 Profiles have to be log in Based on Condition Name & Conditional Success Screen Name.
Question: How to set to which user the notification should reach. In the "to" field of JSON when I am providing "supAdmin" means the notification will reach all the devices who has the application. Once a PO is created the notification should reach only to user in the first level. Once he approves the PO, then only it should reach to the user in the 2nd level. And finally 3rd level.
Here Conditional Name is the best way to Log In or is there any other way to show the User based Log in Details, Because Here I am showing a List of Items Based On Log In,  and Based On Log In user Has to view there List of Products and Status.
    How to manage this situation.
Midhun VP can you please help me on this.
    Thanks,
    Vamsi K

Yes, DNS is is fundamental for networks, even for Windows networks. The DNS is working well for the existing Windows network and there are no problems in distributing certificates etc.
There are more than 150 users and 180 devices on the network without DNS problems.
I don't know how to discover a DNS problem... Windows works well.
DNS resolves fine... dig does it for "a" records and "ptr" records. nslookup resolves, too.
When the problem is a faulty DNS, why does the usage of users/devices from OD work with Profile Manager?
Renaming and/or migrating the ActiveDirectory is not possible. First, I want to be sure that there is a faulty DNS.
The .local TLD is not optimal for Bonjour/mDNS but I can't believe that there is no workaround

  • Email notification to end-user only when both resources are provisioned

    Hello Gurus,
My client has a requirement where the end-user needs to be sent an email notification as soon as his account gets created in OID and EBS.
So the next time when the user logs in; he should be able to access both his accounts. But the email should be sent only when the 2 accounts are succesfully created.
How can we do that by means of process tasks and adapters?
Can anybody give an idea about how can we provide this functionality in the best way OOTB or custom way (code snippet) ?
    Thanks,
    - JHB.

    Hi
If you are using OOTB connectors for OID and EBS then this requirement can be achieved by using OIM API.
On successful response of 'Create user' in OID or EBS call a custom adapter and check for the provisioned status of other RO i.e. on completion of Create User task of OID, check for prov status of EBS and send the mail accordingly.
If the user is not provisioned to the other resource, then do not send the mail. Otherwise if the user is already provisioned to the other resource, send the mail to the user. This approach is based on the assumption that there is no link between the provisioning to OID and provisioning to EBS.
Correct me if I missed something.
    Hope this helps.

  • Notification to End Users after Data Loads

    Hi Everyone,
We are currently working on the development of a solution to nofity our end user community following load processing in BW.  Specifically, at the time an infoprovider is ready for reporting we are trying to send a notification out based upon the time and availability of data.
We are working on something more robust than just email sent from process chains or a third party scheduler, but something more dynamic that will say what time data was loaded and what data is available...
Has anyone worked with this and if so, can you share your thoughts/perspectives on the solution you implemented?
    Thank you very much.
    Cheers, Craig

I did something similar for a kind of protocolling of process chains. Write an ABAP with a couple of parameters you need like Status (Ok/Error), Process Chain, Email to notify, message class and number etc.
At the end of every process chain you can attach one AND- and one OR-process. The AND-Process is triggered if all final steps of the process chain are finished green, the OR-Process is triggered if at least one process is finished red. Now create one 'Ok'-Variant and one 'Error'-variant for each of your process chains and attach these variants to the AND- and OR-Process.
Inside the ABAP you can do any kind of ABAP-protocolling, sending emails, triggering events etc.
    Best regards

  • How to hide the columns at the end user level thru personalization

    Hi all
how I can hide the columns that are displayed on the portal. Any personalize option for the end user? Any righ click or some thing?
I am looking at hiding columns not while developing the iViews / Pages, But in the browsers as the end user.
i can hide the columns what ever i want while creating the iViews for MDM data. but we cant provide the content administrator role to the end user for hiding the columns what ever they want. they want to hide the columns thru pesonalization option at the end user level.
Can you please let me know whether we can able to hide the columns at the end user level thru personalization ?? is it posible with standard iViews??
    Regards
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,
I understood your requirement properly and seems valid and I tried this at my end but i didnt get the solution. Field list is not visible in Personalize option. I dont think it is possible with MDM standard iViews.
I was thinking an alternative is if some how we manage to give the permissions to end user only on Result Set iView but if it would be possible it will not be a good design.
Lets wait for some inputs from others.

  • Enabling end - user access in Sun One Web Server 6.1 SP2

    Hi,
I am new to Sun One Web Server 6.1 SP2 and I can't figure how to enable the end user access so that the end users can change their password.
On iPlanet 6.0 SP2, in the Distributed Admin page, I could enable Distrubuted Administration as well as end user access on the webserver. The end users could then change their own password. I can't find a similar feature in Sun One Web server 6.1 SP2.
Could anyone out there tell me how to get this done?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
I just found from release notes that End user administration feature (which was under Distributed Administration ) is no longer supported in Sun One Web Server 6.1. [Problem ID 4865295 in release notes]
Could anyone provide a workaround to get over this and allow the end users to change their passwords?
    Many thanks in advance,
    auporna.

  • Auto provisioning users and send email notification to the users

I currently have CUCM 10.5 setup to auto register phones and I use Cisco prime provisioning 10.5 to auto provision the users.
Self provisioning is setup and users can call the IVR number enter the self service ID, which is their DN.
what I would like to do is send an email notifying  the end user of their setup and how to use their telephony device Example (Self-service ID: 8888, auth code: 3333) is this possible from Prime Provisioning or CUCM.

    Thanks Jamie
Wishful thinking I guess. It would have been seamless if they added that form of email notification to end users when auto provisioning. Anyways to get around that I used MS word mail merge and used the same spread sheet I used to batch provision the users to send the Self-service ID to the email contacts.

  • Adding Sip Phones - "End User" Vs "Application User"

Can we use "Application User" as the  'Owner ID' & 'Digest User' when Adding a 3rd Party Sip Phone? Since our CUCM is integrated with LDAP, we cannot create new 'End User' without calling the AD Administrator.

You need an End User account. Just create a new OU in LDAP and place all of the phones there if they are not assigned to a real user.  Assign a long/random password to secure the account from all other logins.

  • How to Use the same iview for both KM End User and the KM Administrator

    Hi friends,
*This is my scenario :* How to Use the same iview for both KM End User and the KM Administrator but with different Context
    Menu Options.
i followed these steps but im getting same context menu for both KM End User and the KM Administrator .
Assign the role Content Administrator to the user km_admin. This is needed so that km_admin can change
the presentation settings for the KM Folder u201EReports_kmFolder‟.
Now, login with user km_admin. Navigate to the Km Folder reports_kmFolder through Content Administration
-> Km Content. Click on Details link of the folder reports_kmFolder.
Go To Settings -> Presentation. Click on the tab u201ESettings for You‟-> Click on button u201ESelect Profile‟.
Select the radio button corresponding to u201Elayout Set‟, and choose u201EConsumerExplorer‟ from the dropdown.
    Click u201EOK‟.
Select both the check boxes corresponding to Items Affected as shown above, and click u201ESave‟
Now, remove the u201ESuper Administrator‟ role from the user km_admin and login with this user.
    How rto resolve this????
    Regards,
    Prasad.

    Hello Prasad,
Most likely the user km_admin still has system principal roles assigned, even though you removed the Super Admin role, you should check that this user doesn't have any other admin roles, otherwise it will be considered a System Principal user and will therefore still have access to all content. For more information see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/19/56f28fbd4e11d5993b00508b6b8b11/frameset.htm
Try creating a new user with just read access to the content and you should see that it will not be able to make any changes etc.
    Regards,
    Lorcan.

  • End-user notification is not working for one of the untagorized HTTPS webistes on IronPort WSA

When users try to access the URL https://cloud.skytap.com/tools/connectivity they are getting 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage' instead of regular IronPort WSA end-user-notification. This URL is currently uncategorized. Please advice.

Yes, we have set drop all the uncategorized URLs. We do get end-user-notifications for HTTP websites which are uncategorized.
However, if any of the HTTPS websites which are uncategorized, then we wont get end-user-notification.

  • Background Administration Setup - End Users

    Hello
We want to put in some restrictions from Transaction SM37 to our end-users
We only want end-users to have access to display , delete , release their OWN Jobs and not have access to the other users’ from SM37
From the Roles in PFCG that have access to SM37 I have done the following:
•Deactivated S_BTCH_ADM          (I don’t want them to have access to Manage Background Administration)
•Deactivated S_BTCH_NAM          (I only want the user to view himself and not other users with entry “ *” or username )
•S_BTCH_JOB                             (Gave the values RELE , DEL , List , Prot ) – I excluded Show as for reason not to have access to display others jobs
With the above done I can still view the other end users’ background jobs.
Any idea on how I can setup correct security measures for SM37?
    Thanks & Regards
    Marlon

As far as I am aware, unless you want to modify SM37 then you should use SMX to restrict users to displaying (and managing) only their jobs.
If you leave S_BTCH_ADM, S_BTCH_JOB & S_BTCH_NAM blank, users will still be able to see all the batch jobs but only manage their own.
The screens are very similar between SM37 & SMX so your users shouldn't have too much trouble (though nothing would surprise me.......)

  • Administrator and End user Permission

    Hello Everybody,
How <b>Administrator permission</b> is different from <b>End user permission</b>, i cannot see any major changes if i assign or revoke those.
    2. If i have assigned <b>role assigner permission</b> to a user who does not User administrator or any other administrator rights, how he is able to assign role to other user.
I have read on help.sap.com, but unable to understand.
    regards
    Santosh

    Hi Santhosh,
    1. The Name itself tells us the Difference .
        "Administrator" ->
There r 3 types of Admn here
        a) "Content Admn" ( he is the one Who can create Iview / Role ..)
        b) "User Admn" ( he is the one who can Create Users and Assign Roles to the Users)
        c) "System Admn" ( he can change the System Properties ..Like Layout ,sys alias etc )
and End User is the one who doesn't have any of the Admn Roles . A default user may contain Only EU_ROLE
    2.
If u r a developer u must have Content Admn
and for the basis guys must have User Admn and Sys   admn.
    Hope it helps .
    Regds,
    J

  • Customise EOP Spam Notification End-User email address and email content

    Hi
We are using EOP with our on-premise Exchange 2010 environment.
I am rolling out EOP and have the following two (simple) questions, regarding the Spam Notification email that is sent to end-users:
    1. Can we edit the email address that sends the Quarantine notification email? Or must the email come from [email protected]
    2. Can we customise the Quarantine email that is sent to the End-user (with our company logo)?
From my experience and understanding, I believe the answer for both is NO, but my customer is adamant that editing the email address and customising the email content is possible.. Please advise.
    Thanks
    Ron

The safelist/blocklist is tied to one email address. However, if you enable email alias consolidation done by LDAP and leveraging off of the Active Directory, then you may be able to achieve what you want.
The safelist/blocklist comes into play with respect to anti-spam results. The email alias consolidation should occur much earlier.
So, see if you can get email alias consolidation using LDAP/Active Directory working and it should address the safelist/blocklist thing.

  • Set up end user notification for updates/comments

    Hi,
    SCSM 2012 R2
I've set up a workflow to notify end users when an incident has been created. Users can submit cases by mail, get a receipt, and can reply to the incident.
Now, i'd like to set up a workflow to notify end users when a comment has been made in their incident aswell.
    How can i do this?

    Hi,
That would do the job, however i have not found a way to enter the affected users name in the mail template when using "Trouble Ticket Analyst Comments".
Btw, installed the Cireson notify free app. I can see no info on the cireson site about how to use it. Checked the incident workflows, nothing new there. Checked the notifications templates, nothing new there. Checked the forms templates, nothing new there.
Spendt about 40 mins googl'ing the subject and found no info.

  • End user spam notifications

We have stand-alone EOP with on-prem Exchange. We have not created any user accounts in Office 365 yet (we are getting around to it later). Will end users receive spam notifications when a message goes to the quarantine if they do not have a user account
    in Office 365 yet?

We had this happen for several of our customers as well. Ended up speaking with a Microsoft technician who wasn't able to provide me with a way to roll back the changes, but I was able to use the following steps to get content filter settings back to how
    they were:
    - Navigate to Exchange Admin Center > Compliance Management > Auditing
    - Click "Run the admin audit log report"
    - Run the audit dating back to when EOP was initially configured
    - Find the entry matching the cmdlet of "Set-HostedContentFilterPolicy"
    - Select and note the parameters for this entry
    - Now, navigate to Protection > Content Filter and manually reconfigure the settings matching the parameters of the audit.
Unfortunately, I was unable to find a way to easily roll-back these settings or use the parameters in PowerShell. It's possible, but the commands would have to be retyped for each item and it would take more time than simply reconfiguring the settings.
