Adobe Bridge Tools Illustrator scripting

Hello!
I do a lot of processing of PDFs. In Illustrator I resize them, resize the artboard, save as .ai, then export a TIFF.
I notice in Bridge under tools, there is an ILLUSTRATOR menu.
How difficult would it be to create in bridge a menu item that opens the selected PDF(s) in ILL and run the processes?
I ask because i spend a lot of time in ILL manually processing these files. It would make a lot of sense to create an automation.

Without the startup script for PS you can not commuinicate with it. Google this. Might also try resetting preferences. Hold CRtl key or alt key and start Bridge. Should get a reset window.

Hello,
I need to change a lot of pictures from RGB to CMYK. To do this I opened Adobe Bridge and under Tools, I am supposed to scroll down and see Photoshop so I can then access Image Processor. I can only see Illustrator there. Any idea why this is happening. I there anything I need to reset?

Disable Keyboard Shortcut for Open Adobe Bridge

Is there a way to disable the keyboard shortcut which opens Adobe Bridge from Illustrator? Often when I'm working quickly I accidentally hit this (option command o) instead of (shift command o) to outline type. It halts everything to open Bridge, which I never use, and drives me crazy. Is there any way to disable this command?
Any help would be greatly approciated!!

Go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts > Menu Commands > File and remove or modify the default shortcut for Bridge.

Open file in 'Bridge' folder from Illustrator Script. How? (Mac)

I need to access a file in the Bridge directory, from a script in Illustrator. I can do this already for PC with a concrete reference like this:

How do you construct a string to get at it on a Mac?

Sorry, I misunderstood your question, I didn't realize you were looking for a specific file.
I was going to suggest getting the path to the application and adding '/Contents/MacOS/webaccesslib.bundle/Contents/MacOS/webaccesslib' to get to the file, but I don't see a path property for the application in Bridge. Seems like a ridiculous oversight on Adobe's part, seeing how the other applications can return the path to themselves.

Possible through "Adobe Bridge scripting"

I saved the "Document Info" details in adobe illustrator manually using "Document Info Pannel". But i could not save the "Document Info" details through illustrator action and script. Is it possible the above process through "Adobe Bridge scripting". Kindly advice me.

Adobe Bridge Scripting!

Hi,
I would like to open a folder images in Adobe Bridge, -> Open Images in Camera Raw --> Adjust tone curve as 'Medium Contrast" and save it.
and then
I would start editing the processed images through photoshop scripting.

Indesign Contact Sheet script for Adobe Bridge 1.0.4.6

Our company currently has all the Adobe CS2 products but as stand alone applications and not part of the Creative Suite. Therefore, we don't seem to have all the functionality of the suite.
In particular the script to create Contact Sheets from Indesign CS2 of items through the script in Adobe Bridge.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to add the functionality of the contact sheet script for Indesign to Bridge without having the Adobe Creative Suite? And Why?
We are looking for something to replace an extension used by Quark to create contact sheets from Badia software. I am loath to upgrade this extension unless absolutely necessary. We receave thousands of photo's a week and output contact sheets for our editors to pick and choose which photos they want/like.

Scripts in Adobe Bridge not loading

Startup Scripts in Adobe Bridge not loading when I am in my admin account. I made a new account and the scripts load fine. Is there a permission issue or something? Adobe and I tracked it to a system issue and they left me there. Other than setting up this new account and just using that, is there any alturnitives that will help me keep my current account and make Bridge load right?

You need to check two things:
1) are you uploading the new files each time you make any change?
2) Are you clearing the browser cache just in cache it is not refreshing because of the same name?
When you have checked these two things and if the problem persists then you will need to upload the page and provide a link here to others to check in their browsers and to see if all the pictures are online.

I've just been hired in a new editing company where we are producing pictures in black and white to illustrate our book.
The previous person that was occupying this position could manage the pictures workflow through bridge using a script that was in the Tools menu and use to select several picture and send them to photoshop to apply and converting script (black and white convesion).
The problem I encounter on my session is that I can't send picture to this photoshop script using Bridge ... Can someone help me on this ?

If you used Sync to do that "import", disable Sync for at least one of those Profiles.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have Sync enabled for all the profiles. To my surprise, however, Sync was of no use in getting Default's extension collection into Shopping. For that I had to resort to the article http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox.

Scripting adobe bridge on the mac to setup color settings.

Is there a way to write an applescript to setup the color management settings for adobe bridge? Deploying tiger and cs2 on 200 computers and would love to automate it with a script. The settings do no seem to stick when you setup a default account using english.lprog

You can't. Any version before Creative Cloud does not support high-DPI displays and that is just that. If you cannot adjust the system's screen resolution and so on, then there is nothing you can do.
