The reason I am interested in capturing the user answers in Submit All situation is that I know after I published the test using SCORM 2004, all the user responses were captured in "cmi.suspend_data" because my test can resume the test to the last exit question in the middle. However, when I looked at the suspend data value, I have a hard time to understand the pattern and pick out the meaningful user question responses data. I really need help from you to understand how the suspend data value was constructed and how to parse this data. Another area I thought it's easy to get the user question responses data is the interaction records, but I always got only one question (the last randomly sampled question) interaction record. See the following generated XML SCORM 2004 4th edition data. Could you help me figure out how to interpret the following suspend data to get the users responses to each test question? If you open the Organizer and go to Edit>Preferences>Camera or Card Reader, do you have Auto Launch Adobe Photo Downloader on Device Connect checked?
Try checking that if you don't.

Adobe Captivate Help | System audio (for subscription and Adobe Software Assurance customers only)

I have just a "regular" copy of Captivate CS6 Mac version running OS 10.7.5 bought the box so it isn't a subscription. I'm trying to record a video that has an audio track with it I tried using "record new software simulation" as shown by by Dr. Allen Partridge above. In this video he has an option in his audio preferences that I do not have, namely the check box "system audio". Is this wonderful option ONLY for subscriptions or ASA's? If so WHY? If not what do I need to do in order to record the video WITH the audio?

System variables in R/3 for the action from the portal

How can we know the action from the portal,i mean from the create expense report i want to throw an error message if the user press "Review" button based on my validation. i have written in the badi,but when the user press "Previous step" button also this badi is getting triggered and as per the validation it is throwing an error message, i cannot go back. Are there any system variables that we can capture which button he pressed from the portal so that i can control to throw an error message only when the user press "Review" button.

      I have a wriiten custom routine (routine no 901) for Pricing in VOFM.Now the thing is the code is written in such a way that, the routine will be called only for transaction VA01 and VA02.But If i want the routine(901) to be executed also through BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 and BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE ,then what system parameter i should check in my routine.
Currently the code is like this.
form frm_kondi_wert_901.
Check sy-tocde = 'VA01' or sy-tcode = 'VA02'.
*Process further'....
Endform.

CpQuizInfoAnswerChoice empty for Likert questions?

I'm using the cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice variable to populate some custom variables I use later. This is working fine for multiple choice questions, but it is empty when on a Likert question. Is there anything that can be done?
I'm using Captivate 7/HTML5 output.

Checked a little bit, and indeed for HTML5 the variable seems not to be populated after a Likert question.
Did you try to use a MCQ, not graded but as survey, as a workaround? Or do you really need to have the 'look' of the Likert questions? You can also create that kind of questions with the radiobuttons widget/interaction.

We have seen people requesting for identifying the Question from with in Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyser. In what way do you think Question needs to be reperesented within Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyser?
Will it useful if we show the actual thumbnail of the question itself?
Or just showing the Question text will suffice?

Maybe you'd be better off turning off the shuffling of answers (given that it fouls up the reliability of the variable representing what you want) and use Question Pools instead.
This would allow you to get some randomisation of the questions (which is what the answer shuffling is sort of trying to accomplish) but you'd be tracking actual questions. You could have a number of variations of the same question in the pool.
Does that get you any closer to your goal?

I purchased the Adobe Captivate 7 software on Feb 4 through Adobe website. As there were some issues on my computer yesterday, I uninstalled Captivate 7. But today, when I tried to download the software again and reinstall it, it did not work. After “Initializing installer”, it just stopped and did not do anything. I have captured system variable 71 in order to print customer's CST and VAT numberin PLD of A/R Invoice. But it is printing I instead of vat number.
I have confirmed the number by View - system information in Tax screen of accounting tab of business partner master screen.

and it is printing.
How would i find system variable to be used for printing CST and vat of customer.
I also tried relating customer code from ocrd with taxid column of crd7 and giving validation on addresstype field but no success.

Captivate's standard multiple choice question type requires the user to click a Submit button after making their choice, at which point a Sucess or Failure feedback caption can immediately provide text-based information to the learner. These feedback captions can take many forms. To replicate the type of feedback shown in your example course, you would need to use a transparent feedback caption type.
In fact, the example course from your link has to reload the page to show feedback. Captivate courses can do it a lot quicker because the content is already loaded for either success or failure feedback.
However, one difference with your example course is that it gives feedback as soon as the user selects any one of the choices. They are not using a Submit button. If you wanted to get closer to this model of interaction then you would need to create your quiz question on normal Captivate slides using radio button widgets instead of the multi-choice question type.
So you are certainly not short of options with Captivate.

Adobe Captivate Quiz question

I made a simple multiple choice question. When the user answers correctly, I want them to see a message that says soemthing like, "Correct!" but I only want that message to be there for maybe 2-3 seconds, and then I want the project to automatically move to the next slide.
So, I know how to add the correct message. I have it on there now, but they then have to click or "press 'y'" to move to the next slide. I want it to automatically move without user action.
Ideas?

Is Adobe Captivate for me?

Hello,
I came across Adobe Captivate and the eLearning Suite while looking for screen capture video software. I don't know if this is going to serve my purpose and that is my question.
What I would like to do is create tutorial videos through screen capture and video recording. For instance, I might record how to install a sound card into a PC, then I might want to record my screen as I show how to check for the latest Drivers, I want to be able to talk the user through this as I go of course.
So is this software what I am looking for? Can it do all this, or would I be better off with something else?
if Anyone has rich examples of this software doing something close I would love to see them! After all, seeing is believing.

My 2cents. For the software training, Captivate is indeed for me personally the best app around, and I have been trying a lot (Camtasia, Smartbuilder, Viewletbuilder...).
Of course you have to record the video (that is not possible with Captivate) with a video-recorder. In CP5 importing the video (Adobe Media Encoder will be automatically used for converting if it is not flv) and working with it has become really great. You can spread the video over different slides, readjust the timings, resize, insert Text Captions on the slides with video, add Question slides, audio ...
Would recommend to go for the eLearning suite if budget allows it, because besides Captivate you will have some other great apps (Flash, Photoshop, Soundbooth, Dreamweaver, Acrobat Pro,...) and moreover very nice roundtripping to Photoshop and Soundbooth.

Thanks alotSome generic "system variables" are available though Java, usually through the System class.
Date today = new Date();
is instantiated with the current date and time.
Other system values, like environment values, should be passed to java through the command line (-D option) by setting system properties.
Finally, platform specific values like the number of processes running will have to be written in platform specific code and executed by JNI (java native interface).
Java is platform or system agnostic. Common system values, like time, are implemented. Hopefully you won't need platform specific values.

@variable and Operating system variables (Windows environment variables)

Has anyone experience with using @variable and Operating system variables (Windows environment variables)in XI 3.x Web Intelligence ?
Help gives the example of @Variable(NUMBER_OF_PROCESSORS). Even with syntax correction @Variable('NUMBER_OF_PROCESSORS') it does not seem to work.
It works fine for Desktop Intelligence. Environment variables added are read, after restarting DeskI. If already in an existing DeskI session, newly added (unknown) variable names give a prompt with the variable as prompt text as a result. This is the behavior in Web Intelligence, even for environment variables that are always set (like Path, TMP, ...)
Both WebI Rich Client and WebI via Infoview in XI 3.1 and XI 3.1 SP2 show this behavior (prompt instead of @variable behavior)
Are there settings that need to be made? other syntax ?
Is this a DeskI only feature ?

Reason we ask:the "xi3-1_designer_en" guide, the specification for the @variable function states:
"BusinessObjects system variables. ...
Report variables. ...
Operating system variables. You can enter Windows environment variables in order to obtain information about your installation.
Custom variables. With Desktop Intelligence, you can use a predefined text file to provide a list of fixed variable values."
There's no explicit referal to DeskI only for OS system variables, like there is for custom variables.
