Adobe Edge Runtime conflicting with Wordpress menu

I finally managed to manually insert an Adobe Edge animation thanks to vivekuma and also by following this article. It seems I needed to change several paths in edgePreload.js and edge.js.
I am however facing a new problem... I created both a page and a header templates to load from the page so I can insert the  content in the page with the animation only. I pasted the code just between <?php wp_head(); ?> and </head> tags. This loads the animation correctly, BUT it breaks the site's menu (it has a jquery effect) and a slideshow.
Is there a better way to run this script or to find out what's causing the conflict?

Most of all, why does it happen? I understood that it is an action.js closure problem in many cases.
But this occurs because changes were made outside Edge Animate while the file *.an was open?
We need to find the reason why we are making a wrong use of the software.

I'm not entirely sure if you're referring to Safari on your computer or Safari on your iPad, so I'll answer for both:
If you meant Safari on your computer, the answer is no. But since we just released the Edge Inspect API (http://blogs.adobe.com/edgeinspect/2013/06/18/introducing-the-edge-inspect-javascript-api/) that's something you can do yourself if you'd prefer to test from Safari. As far as that being a better test bed, the browser you're testing from really doesn't make a difference for how the pages will appear on your devices. We simply send the URL from the browser to the devices, rather than sending the page contents, so all rendering is controlled by the device.
If you meant Safari on your iPad, well, the answer is also no, but for a different reason. We're making use of the UIWebView component because by embedding that component in our application we have much greater control over it and can implement customizations like screenshots, remote inspect, cache clearing, and things like that to make Edge Inspect more fully featured. UIWebView and Safari are both based on WebKit, and we've configured the UIWebView component to behave as much like Safari as possible. At this point in time we know of no rendering differences between the two, the only differences we're aware of are performance-related... Safari is faster than the UIWebView component. Since we'd essentially need to cripple/remove a number of features to make Edge Inspect work with Safari, there are no plans to make that happen.

How to link Edge animate elements with wordpress div id

Dear all,
I have an animation uploaded on wordpress with edge Suit;
In the animation there are some links to the sections of the page, but they don't work.
In my edge file I linked the elements to the wordpress sections just adding code "click ==> links ==> link in the same window -- window.open("http://mywebsite/#section", "_self");
I am sure its really easy to solve it, but i have some Jquery lacks.

I can only imagine how miffed Adobe's technical team must be and I don't want to add unnecessarily to any stress. For what it's worth, I really liked working with the Edge Animate interface and want things to work out because it would be my first preference - but of course not if I have to recreate content elsewhere for the iPad.
Whether iOS7 has a bug or otherwise, I wonder if there are any simple workarounds. For example, there is an extension that outputs HTML5 from InDesign, including media overlays:

Perhaps Adobe can create an updated step-by-step guide for inserting Flash canvas animations and Captivate HTML5 using this extension. Then maybe even show how to wrap the final content as EPUB3. This would be in lieu of this demo: https://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2013/08/a-step-by-step-guide-to-create-an-interactive-eb ook.html. For people like me who use Adobe's products because of their front-end niceties (i.e. we don't want to dig too much into code), it would help resolve many issues here. DPS not an option - would rather go with PubCoder in that case.

Adobe X Standard conflicts with multiple scanners?

If I add a second scanner to my home network, will the Adobe X Standard software create a conflict when it sees the two devices? I will be just scanning one document at a time.

No problem with multiple scanners. If they are supported scanners you will have a choice. If you install an unsupported scanner it will be ignored.

Making a Adobe muse into cms with web menu

HI people,
After lots of hard work i have worked out a way how to turn a adobe muse site into a cms for a client. use the Adobe incontent editor.
They can change pictures, text and slideshows.
Only one thing i need help with. Is there a way when a client add a webpage it can automatically add into the web menu?
I know if I upgrade hosting plans you can do it but client doesnt want to spent that much on hosting.
Is there a plugin what can do the same thing? or can you some how do it on the basic hosting.

Hi ographix,
You would need to upgrade to a higher BC plan and insert the dynamic menu module. Since Muse outputs static pages with menus based off site structure, the only way you can have a menu which adapts based off change on the server would be to leverage those advanced features in BC.

Otherwise, its a matter of getting that content from your client and using it to create a new page in your Muse file, followed by republishing onto the server.

Adobe Air 3 conflict with 10.7.2

I cannot open YNAB and after several tries I get a msg to install the latest Adobe Air. I tried installing it (which is Adobe Air 3) and nothing happens....
Any advice?

I can't speak to the specific problem with YNAB, but since upgrading my MacBook Pro (2010) to 10.7.2, I too have had problems with installing Adobe AIR 3. If you have a MacBook Pro or other Mac with automatic graphics switching, disabling this in System Prefs -> Energy Saver seems to allow Adobe AIR 3 to install. (I too found this tip on the Adobe forums, and I have confirmed that it works.)
Why this should upset AIR is anyone's guess. But then, Adobe creates nasty bits of software that seem to be completely unable to play nicely; they aren't content to use the standard Mac OS X Installer, they dump files and folders in inappropriate places, they have un-Mac-like UIs which make them unnecessarily difficult to start using, and they cause all sorts of system problems. On one occasion I installed Reader in OS X 10.5 because of a PDF with interactive forms. I spent the whole afternoon restoring my Mac from a TM backup as a result of the constant kernel panics which ensued. I almost wish Adobe didn't make software for the Mac.

Adobe Pro 11 conflict with Adobe reader on Firefox

I downloaded adobe acrobat pro 11 trial version and also have adobe reader on my Windows 7. I get error only on firefox when trying to open the pdf attachment stating "there was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired".
The pdf attachment works fine with Chrome, or when attaching to an outlook email.
Is there a fix, or should I just uninstall the adobe acrobat pro trial??

Combobox plugin conflicts with jQuery menu

First of all thanks for both authors of "Combobox" (http://oracleapexideas.blogspot.com.es/2012/06/combobox-plugin.html) and "jQuery menu" (http://blog.theapexfreelancer.com/2011/02/jquery-menu-apex-plugin) plugins! Both are great plugins!
I have a conflict when I insert both plugins at the same page. The problem is, jQuery menu cease to work.

IOS 8 conflict with WordPress audio playlist

I have a problem with my page loading on WordPress theme while viewing it on iOS 8. It happens for the exact case when there is WordPress playlist and some other iframe somewhere on page. The page breaks and won-t load.

Adobe Edge 3 animations issues with webview on Android v4.1.1 and v4.2.1

I am developing an Android App using webview (using phonegap/cordova v2.8.1 ) . I used Adobe Edge 3 and generated few animations using SVG images and couple of html pages
Query #1:    Scaling of image is continously increasing with every orientation change
             On Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 (all with Android version v4.4.2) the Adobe Edge animations work as expected in my App, however there is one issue when ConfigChanges option in Android manifest file is set to "orientation|screenSize" used in the main activity of my App to allow it to automatically resize this screen/images when screen orientations between portrait and landscape. This works but image size keeps increasing (never reset to original size) every time change the orientation of my Android device from portrait to landscape and vice versa.
Is there any issue with Adobe Edge based animations w.r.t to automatically resizing based changes to screen orientation on Android ?
Query #2: Images(i.e. symbols) are incorrectly loaded/shown and sometime stage itself is not loaded
    On Samsung Tab 2 (v4.1.1) and Samsung S3 (v4.2.1), the same Android App runs fine, however some images are not loaded randomly, sometimes the image is blank and sometimes incorrect symbols are overlayed onto the stage1 and stage 2 screens.
Has body faced similar issues while using Adobe Edge generated animations with webview/phonegap based Android applications ? if yes how it was fixed ?
This Android App uses only the two html pages (as stage 1 and 2) and then it loads different symbols (i.e svg images) using hide and show , load composition methods to create animations.
Let me know if there are any Adobe Edge 3 related issues specific to different version of Android ...in particular Android v4.0, v4.1 and v4.2 ..because the same App works fine on Android v4.3 and v4.4
I suspect it is due to differences and support available in webview implementations in different versions of Android.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated !

Sadly I don't have answers either. I'm not sure what happened but as of the last few days i've been having the same problems. There are also times when my mac mini wont even connect to the base station.
What I find strange is that my sister has the same airport firmware installed and her machine is unaffected. I'm on hold with apple atm, so we shall see what they can figure out.

Bootstrap3/BC Menu dropdown conflict with module_photogallery

I'm building a site using Bootstrap3 framework, with BC Dynamic Menu (with jQuery courtesy Joe Watkins) for main navigation. Dropdowns (click or hover) working beautifully until I add a photogallery module, then the dropdown links disappear on click, which is a major problem on touchscreens. I've removed all things piece-by-piece to determine the dropdown links disappear 100% of the time when a photogallery module is on the page, and work appropriately 100% of the time without a photogallery present (well, 1 exception - i'm seeing same issue on Layouts/OnlineShop/large_product.html).
Does anyone have any recommendations to fix this conflict with my Menu Nav dropdown links and the photogallery module? Really, really appreciate any suggestions. Unfortunately, the site nav is rendered non-functional on touchscreens due to these disappearing dropdown link conflicts (only Home and Smile Gallery links are not dropdowns).

Having a super quick look at the code I'd say it's because of:
ul.dropdown li.selected a {
    color: #ff871f;
This affects all the child elements.
To override this down the line you could do something like:
ul.dropdown li.selected ul li a {
    color: #fff;
This would override the parent link color when selected.
You could probably then also add:
ul.dropdown li.selected ul li.selected a {
    color: #ff871f;
For the dropdown selected states.
That's a quick look though so don't quote me too much

Sound in Adobe Edge

Hi,
I have managed to make the sounds play and stop, but now I need to ensure that
1) only 1 sound is played at only 1 time when run in Adobe Edge
2) Once the sound is stopped mid-way, the sound will automatically go to the beginning of the sound clip.
