Adobe Edge to DPS help

I'm trying to create an animation in Adobe Edge that can be controlled by swipe/finger, not an auto-play, when exported to Adobe DPS. Is this possible? Are there any good tutorials/code snippets out there that would make this possible? Thanks!

Adobe Edge Code Error HELP!

When i try to make a new file it comes up with a error message it says Error creating file, An error when trying to create the file "name.type". The target directory cannot be modified.

You need to pick a different folder, other than Getting Started. If you pick a folder located inside the Edge Code install location (such as Getting Started), you will not be able to create any new files or folders there. If you pick a folder somewhere else, such as inside your Documents folder tree, then it should work.

Adobe Edge in DPS: size issue in fullpage animation

hello
if i make a fullpage animation 1024*768 in edge
and import it
it works
BUT
the problem is that if something ion the animation went "outside" the 1024*768 in Edge, then indesign understands that you can go further in iPads dimensions
Exemple: i got a flying object that gets out of the screen, so in my animation at the end it has to be out of the 1024*768 original box right ?
then when i import the html through overlay creator panel in a 1024*768 rectangle it's fine but when i go to the ipad, if my finger moves to the right (where my flying object went), then it does a swipe from the overflow dimensions in some kinf of blank page
is that normal ?

I'm having a hard time picturing this. Can you post the actual Edge file that you're placing?
Edit: If you're using CS6 you place the OAM file. For earlier file you would indeed need to link to the HTML.
In either case if the stage is 1024x768 there shouldn't be an issue.

I made some nice webpage with adobe edge, and additionaly I would like to implement store finder made with google maps. Any idea how I should do this?

Adobe Edge Animate 2014 Can't Start! -- "d3dx9_43.dll" missing. Multiple re-installs same problem. Help?? :(

This is the Dialogue I am presented after every attempt to launch Adobe Edge Animate CC 2014.
"EdgeAnimate.exe - System Error"
"The program can't start because C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Edge Animate CC 2014\cef\d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I've re-installed Edge Animate several times now, even restarting computer between installs. For whatever reason, whenever Edge Animate is installed, this particular "d3dx9_43.dll" file will not install along with. What can I do? I use Animate frequently enough that this will become an issue if it cannot resolve soon. Please help.

Need help with adjusting Javascript code to work in Adobe Edge (Countdown)

Im a newbie when it comes to working with Javascript and Adobe Edge and need a bit of help with adjusting some javascript code to work with Adobe Edge. A friend of mine helped me with making this javascript code: Edit fiddle - JSFiddle
Its a simple countdown which counts down to a certain time at a certain date. What I aim to do is to add this code as a trigger on a text-element called "countdown" (within a symbol called "count").
I have tried to do this as the code is, but it does not work. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have stumbled upon a problem with these animations; They crash the browser after viewing them a little while, usually less than 30 seconds in.
Is this problem also occuring when you watch the animations?
Is the countdown-code to much for the browsers to handle?

I looked on Adobe's site and they "advertise" fillable forms for the iPhone and Android markets, but on the Windows Phone tab, that is mysteriously missing. lol Maybe it will come later? I can't download the Adobe Edge Reflow. The file's downloading is successfull but the file doesn't go to my Creative Cloud so I can't install the programme. I have already install the Photoshop CC and the Reflow Plug-in for Photoshop. May I ask help? :) T

1. I am running on Windows 8.1
2. When running the installer file from https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/reflow I get the following choice
I click "OK" which doesn't do anything for me (CC is off).
I turn CC on and run the installer again. I get the following window that within few settings disappears:
Then - just for half a second it says "Launching Creative Cloud desktop" and then it brings CC to front, and that's all.
RF still not there.
3. I spoke ta support agent on the Adobe chat on Friday. He looked into my computer for an hour. Uninstalled After Effects (after failing to update it). For some reason all apps disappeared from the list. They then reappeared after he opened PS.
This morning After Effects is still showing up in my system and is operational.
Weird.
4. At the end the agent suggested maybe Firewall is the problem here. Trying that out now.

We finished our first app with Adobe Edge and it's a collection of Russian tales.

Now there're only two tales. First was made usind Adobe Flash + Wallaby project and the second completely in Edge.
Though it's in Russian you may still check out the style, and, if you think it's a good idea - we'll translate all tales in English and make a separate app.

Edge Inspect desktop has no UI and only Inspect icon will be visible in the menu bar. Also, you need to be logged in with Adobe ID in the app.

How to use Adobe Edge Web Fonts correctly

I am a Dreamweaver newbie and am trying to learn how to use it through the tutorials. I am stuck at part 3 trying to use Adobe Edge Web Fonts correctly in my web site. As far as I can tell I have followed the instructions in the tutorial correctly, but the font style effect does not show up on my site. I am working on a Windows 7 machine and using Dreamweaver 5.5. I have copied and pasted the javascript into the correct spot in the head of the index.html page as well as included the font-family name in the CSS file and saved the whole smash. The source code for my index page looks exactly like the sample in the tutorial, and I have tried to view my site in my browser, but no dice. Doesn't display the Edge Web Font style in the web page. I believe I've done everything according to the directions, but I suppose I've missed some small detail. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

You need to add a <script> to the head of your documents like the example below. In my example, I'm using all of the aguafina-script and league-gothic fonts.

A simple way to get the correct codes is to go to Adobe Edge Web Fonts and select the font you wish to use.

NOTE: You won't see the custom web fonts displayed in Design View, Live View or when previewed locally unless you use a local testing server. An easier way to test is by uploading the page to your remote server.

Hi there, I have never used Adobe Edge but before I install I wanted to know if it could create a animated icon that's looping and that has transparencies...
I have tried animated gifs, but the transparency suck big time...
I have tried APNG but Chrome does not support...
So in my search for solution I found Adobe Edge...
So if it's doable can you guys help me or send me in the right direction...

Hey Ben,
Of course this is possible but it might be overkill if all you want is an animated icon. Technically you have all you need for this. You can use png if you have images with transparent areas or svg if you prefer. Then you create a loop on timeline.
Let us know if you need a sample.

Trying to use Adobe Edge to get faded header images on my website. Was referred to Adobe Edge because it is supposed to be easy for beginners. I was able to upload my images, but then there was no instruction/direction on what to do next. Everything I clicked just brought me somewhere else.
