Adobe flash 10.1.82.76 failed to install on firefox

Hi,
I tried updating my flash player today and encoutered a problem, everything was going smoothly, DLM (for firefox) downloaded properly and restarted firefox, afterwards it showed a prompt saying it's installing the add-on DLM, however, it did no finish and just closes without closing the browser and not even getting to the part where it's suppose to be downloading the flash player. i tried restarting the browser and downloading again but this time it wont even initiate download for the DLM that'll download the player.  I don't think there's anything conflicting my installation because i've successfully installed it before, My OS is windows xp sp3 and my firefox version is 3+. Hope someone can help me. thanks

Hi, I was planning on giving you the offline IE & FF Installers, but you didn't wait:-)
Here is your offline FF Flash Player Installer:
Download this and SAVE it to your desktop. Close all browsers before you Run it. After it is finished, Reboot your computer.

My hard drive fried and had to be replaced. I'm trying to install CS4 from my original discs but keep getting this error message - "One or more of the required components of Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Standard failed to install correctly". A customer service rep gave me a link to download off the Adobe site, but when I try to open the file to run it, I get this error message - "A problem occurred extracting the archive".
    Can anyone help?

Yep.  Nothing happens at all. Windows tries to execute the uninstaller, but I don't get any other screen and all activity stops for the MSI.  I monitored it in Process Monitor and the MSI executable appears, but is quickly ended, like it couldn't find anything or something.
It's as if windows has a blank entry in Programs and Features, because it used to show the size of the Adobe application in the "Size" column.  Now it's just blank.  Link to screenshot below:
    http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/5006/screenshotcaf.jpg
Note the install date.  That's when I was able to successfully reinstall it.  Now I can't even do that.  I should also mention I tried Revo Uninstaller.  It deleted one small registry key, but nothing changed.
By the way, is the CS cleaner supposed to ask for a disc in the drive when you run it?  It refused to run unless I had one in it, so I used my install dvd.

Hi everybody..i have an enigmatic problem since i bought MacBook Air..i can't watch youtube videos and i did install the latest adobe flash player BUT when i start to install it the system keeps asking me to enter a password ? which password i need ??????

    Your admin account password.

  • Im trying to install adobe flash player and it says i need to close firefox to continue i have and it still says its not closed

Im installing adobe flash player and its telling me to close mozilla firefox to continue. i exited off the internet but it still says i need to close it

Download and installation are two separate steps. The Adobe Flash '''installation''' procedure requires that Firefox be closed before installing Flash.
orange Firefox button > '''''Exit''''' or File > Exit to close Firefox. Then wait a minute or so before starting to install Flash.

  • Adobe Flash Player won't stop asking to install.

I'm using windows 7 and Mozilla firefox, but this problem happens even when I don't have a browser window opened.
Adobe flash player won't quit asking to install. probably once a minute i receive a (UAC)request to allow adobe flash player to install. Even with no browser windows open. EVEN WHILE I AM WATCHING FLASH VIDEOS, it is telling me to install it. It literally interupts everything I am doing, even when I'm not browsing the internet.
I currently have it completely uninstalled as far as i know. I used the adobe uninstaller available on this site. So there's no flash player or shockwave player installed on my computer... still receiving this request every minute or so.
    It's ridiculous.
I tried running a virus scan, because thats the only thing I could possibly think of that would be this irritating, and it says that my computer is clean.
Is there some secret files somewhere I need to delete? I'm thinking of deleting the activex install files. I keep getting "The ActiveX Installer (AxInstSV) service entered the running state." in my event viewer, which seem to coincide with this issue.

I finally got it fixed but I'm not sure what fixed it.
    here's everything i did:
    Uninstalled all browsers.
    Uninstalled all adobe stuff.
    Uninstalled Java
Deleted anything left behind (i left browser stuff though because i wanted it to save my passwords and such).
disabled activexsvinst or something service. The activex installer service.
Used CC cleaner to clean up registry
Made sure to delete almost everything in user/local/temp folders and such (where adobe and java store stuff usually. I dunno might want to be careful doing this cause i dont know if there's important files there. Also some folders won't let you delete it but that just means you have to go inside the folder and select all then delete. The only file that should be in one of thosetemp folders is like fxsapidebug or something, in my opinion.)
    rebooted
    ran CC cleaner again.
    rebooted
not sure if this helped but i also used HIJACKTHIS and uninstalled some browser helpers that didnt get deleted. In particular there was an adobe one i think. Cant really remember tho. Now that i look at hijackthis again, it couldn't have been this because the browsers helper stuff is still there.
I also ran about 500000000 virus scans with multiple scanning programs and none of them detected anything.
I've reinstalled Mozilla and flash and haven't had any problems since.
Hope this helps anybody else with the same problem.

  • Hi, I need to install Adobe Flash Player because the version I have installed in my Mac Os is old, but I can´t because I need to write my email and my password and I don´t remember my password, so what can I do?

Hi, I need to install Adobe Flash Player because the version I have installed in my Mac Os is old, but I can´t do it because I need to write my email and my password and I don´t remember my password, so what can I do? Thank you

The email and password will be the ones for your computer's security, not something for any Adobe product.  You might need to consult Mac customer support if you are unable to determine the required information.

  • Adobe flash 10.1.102.64 will not install

Adobe Flash 10.1.102.64. will not install
I downloaded fp_10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0_archive but it will not install. I did use Flash uninstaller program first.
Under Application, Adobe Flash.app 10.1 r102  18.9 MB shows installed.
    What did I do wrong?
If I uninstall Safari, then download  reinstall, will that help me? I currently have no Flash plug-in with Safari 4.1.3 or Firefox 3.6.22.

Did you maybe install the stand alone player & not the plugin for browsers?
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html#prob1=uninst,os=m10.6,
    Download this if you haven't...
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10.1.102.6 4_and_9.0.289.0archive.zip
Once downloaded if it doesn't unzip automatically the double click on that file.
Look for the fp10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive folder, open it, look for the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 folder & open and look for 101r10264 folder & open it, double click on the flashplayer101r102_64_ubmac.dmg file, choose the Install Adobe Flash Player file to install... they don't make it easy!
Or I put up the smaller ones here...

Hello, I have a new Mac Book Pro and I am unable to get Adobe flash player to work. When I install it it says it has been installed. But where do I see the application that it is there?

    Check your system preferences.
My copy of flash installed as a preferance pane.
If its there you will be able to check the current installed version and set preferences for flash and updating.

  • Adobe Flash  Player 11.7.700.169 2 , install window shows 1 item Zero KB?

Adobe Flash  Player 11.7.700.169 2 , install window shows 1 item Zero KB? Even tried an uninstall and same thing, shows 1 item Zero KB? WHY?

    Hello Chris and Sameer,
thank you for getting back on this issue.
    To answer your questions first:
    - no, I have not posted this issue in the connect forums - I will do and point to this discussion
    - Sameer, I have tested the webcam on the website you pointed out, it is not working with Firefox but it is working in Chrome
I also need to give you an update on the current versions I use:
Win 7 Pro (64bit) (all updates included)
    Firefox 21.0
    IE 10.0.9200.16576
    Chrome  26.0.1410.64 m
    Flash Player 11.7.700.202
    Adobe Connect Addin 11.2 r261
I tested the webcam via FP with Firefox, IE and Chrome in the versions mentioned above. Only in Chrome I can run the WebCam on the www.testwebcam.com website. Once I start the adobe connect meeting and want to start the webcam the Connect Addin stops working with the popup as shown in post 3 of this discussion in all three browsers.
All components have been uninstalled and installed again (except for IE)  for testing with no change in the result. I have also rolled back the computer to the system recovery point furthest back in time to see if any other installation might be the cause. But no luck either.
I am happy to post the logs but would need advise where to find these or how to retrieve.
    Thanks!
    Konwill

  • Installation of Adobe Flash 11.7.700.169 fails w/Java script errors

I am getting very frustrated with Adobe software, it seems that nearly every time I try to update my flash player the update Flash player process fails with a java script error.
I currently am running Adobe Flash player: 11.6.602.180
My system is running 32-bit Windows XP, SP3, all patches to date, IE v8.0.6001.18702.
When I try to install the Adobe Flash player update to 11.7.700.169 the process always fails with the following....
A pop up to the screen from IE, titled: "Internet Explorer Script Error"
The  message displayed on the screen is:
An error has occured on the script on this page.
       Line: 1
       Char: 15965
       Error: Object Expected
      Code: 0
      URL: http://127.0.0.1/app/_js/adobe.js
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? <Yes>/<No>
No matter what choice I make the install fails (choosing yes causes more Script Error messages to appear, before it finally hangs).
I have followed the steps suggested on the 'Troubleshooting page', yes Active Scripts are enabled within IE
I also have tried turning off all AV and Firewalls when performing installation, yet I get the same errors.
    Thanks,
    Mark Reynolds

Download and run the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#mai n-pars_header

  • Adobe flash player starts download, then fails. help?!

    hi
I originally had adobe flash player, but i accidentally uninstalled it and now i'm having major trouble getting it back!
i would like to install the adobe flash player. so i visited the adobe homepage and chose the right version. after downloading, i opned the installation program. i closed all required program. but suddenly after it was starting with the download it said: installation failed (see below).
i'm sure that i chose the right version mac os x 10.4 to 10.5, then i have mac book 10.5.8 intel. (btw i also tried the newer version). i've also tried the download with safari and firefox.
thank you very much for your answers! i really need them

    Go to /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Move the Flash Player.plugin to the Trash.
Now reinstall the plugin >  http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
Adobe suggests temporarily disabling anti virus software if you have that installed before downloading the plugin.

  • How to solve problem related to svchost and Adobe flash player 11.6 r602 failing to work?

    Hi...
I have been consistently facing a serious problem regarding the firefox I use. It's Firefox 20.0.1. I use Windows 7 and I have 8 gb of Ram.
The problem is after I launch Firefox two dialogue boxes appear in quick succession one telling that "svchost.exe has stopped working" and another is telling about "Adobe Flash Player 11.6 r602 has stopped working". The firefox immediately stops working and I have to use the task manager to close the program...even resort to restart the computer sometimes.
Please tell me solution applying which I can get out of this problem.
    Thanks
    Sam

Try updating to Flash 11.7, then Reset Firefox [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]]
