Adobe Forms - address manipulation/formatting

Aside from ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM and address node, are there any other ways to retrieve an address using only address number where I can manipulate which fields will be returned.
My main problem is that I need to display an address without displaying the region code and display its description instead (BEZEI). I think there might be ways to do this manually, like for example using ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM and then do string manipulation to replace region code with its description, but this is quite unconventional.

The example I gave you above is FormCalc scipting.  As far as documentation, I am not aware of a any site that has the events and properties documented.  I, like yourself, had a difficult time figuring out the syntax for dynamically changing properties.  I have a training class book that I got from one of my colleagues which has helped some.  AdobeForms does not have a debugging tool as far as I know.  I will be happy to help you out if I can but I am by no means an expert.

  • Convert Adobe Form into Word Format

    Hi Friends,
My question is very straight forward -:
Is there any way / any Function Module to convert the adobe form into word format ? Is this possible ?
    Regards,
    Debi

Hello, could you please elaborate a little more? Have you tried this? What was the result?
I mean: Adobe forms are often very complex, I would like to know how does the result look like. I have no DMS/ DMS experience to try it myself so I thought you could describe some more details about this suggestion.

  • Adobe Forms, XML(PDF format) to PDF binary

    Hi experts!
I'm working with Interactive Adobe Forms and the form function return the PDF in a XML format (xstring) through the parameter FPFORMOUTPUT-XML.
I need to save the PDF file (binary) without geting it through the "getpdf" parameter FPFORMOUTPUT-PDF.
Because the "getpdf" don't permit to show the user dialog print options.
How could I transform the XML(PDF) returned in binary PDF file?
    Thank you all!

    Hello Evaristo
You can make use of CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY' and CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_download to achieve this requirement.

  • Formatted text and smartforms/Adobe forms

    Hello all,
can anybody please tell me if there is a way to display formatted text that was edited with FormattedTextEdit (or is there any other ui element that allows me to format text?) in smartforms/adobe forms with all formats? Also, is it possible to display graphics in the smartforms/adobe forms that was prior uploaded to the application server?
    Thanks and regards, Oliver

    Hi Raja,
I implenented SAVE_TEXT AND READ_TEXT like you advised but the smartforms still doesn't show the text formats edited via BTF editor.  I even tried to convert it to ITF using "CONVERT_STREAM_TO_ITF_TEXT" but it wouldn't help either. For example the text
    <HTML><HEAD></HEAD> <BODY> <P>This is a test text in Times New Roman</P> <P><FONT face=Arial>This is a test text in Arial</FONT></P> <P><FONT face=Arial><STRONG>This is a test text in Arial and bold</STRONG></FONT></P></BODY></HTML>
would exactly appear in this manner (using text element in smartforms) and not formatted. Do you any other ideas solving this issue?
    Thanks and regards, Oliver

  • CAD graphics in PDF-Forms (Adobe Forms)

    Hello,
I have a question concerning big graphics in PDF-based Forms. A Customer wants to append graphics to an Adobe-Form. These pictures will be CAD graphics. The problem is, this graphic can be from 10 up to 25 pages! Is it possible to append such a big graphic with variable pages to an Adobe Form?
The format of the graphics can be either PDF or JPEG.
And if this is possible: will the performance of printing or sending the extended form be acceptable?
Thanks a lot for your help!
    Nina

On the Options tab of the button properties dialog, set the Layout to something other than "Label only" (e.g., Icon only). You can then clock the "Choose Icon" button to select a source for the button appearance. It can be a page from an existing PDF or anything else Acrobat knows how to convert to PDF, such as an image.

  • How to display Formatted text in adobe form

In adobe form, I want to display the text which is inputed by formatted text edit in WD ABAP application.
It is always displayed as plain text like '<p>this is test text.</p>'. I have set the attribute Data Format to XHTML, Field Format to Rich Text for the Text Field in adobe form. But it doesn't work.
How to display these formatted text?
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Jun

    Hi Juergen,
I found Your blog and found it  really interesting... though I was not able to use it: I (like Jun Li is asking, I guess) need to use a dynamic text, containing formatting informations (according the xhtml syntax).
I tried to pass it to the form by an ABAP-dictionary based interface and by means of the context (in a webdynpro page), but both tries failed.
Some suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
    Thankyou

  • How to set Page Format in adobe form

    Hi,
I am designing a simple print forn using Adobe, since printer is dotmatrix page break should be triggered longer then usual A4 size.
If I do the same thing using Smartfom I will define a page format and under output type of the smartform I will assign it, this is enough to tell the system what is the length and width of the page I am using for printing.
how can we achive this in adobe form.
    Regards

    Hello,
go to your master page and change the master page/page format/size as you wish.

  • Problem with text formatting within a table in Adobe Forms

    Hi all,
I have a table on a non-interactive Adobe form (which is a copy of the standard expense form PTRV_EXPENSE_FORM.  The table in ABAP has a text field with CHAR50.  On the form, the text field has a width which allows approximately 35 characters.  Therefore the text wraps onto a second line.  My problem is that the text is not formatted and words are just split randomly.
    For example:
The fox ran across the fields and into the woods.
    would be output as:
The fox ran across the fields and i
    nto the woods.
How can the text be formatted to only output complete words?
I have tried defining the textfield as text only and rich text, but nothing changes the output.
Interestingly, even if I change the font size from say 10 to 8, the text is output the same, even though there is enough space for at least one more word on the first line.
Has anyone else come across this problem?
    Thanks,
    Patricia

    Hi Syed
The table is IT_RECEIPTS_ADD_INFO, field VALUE_CHAR.  In the form it is called Receipts_addl_info.
I have just found out that the data is being re-formatted in the interface.  That caused the problem.  Many, many thanks for your help.
    Best regards

  • Using formats of SO10 text in Adobe forms

    Hello guys,
I got a question concerning the interaction of SO10 texts with adobe form text fields.
I know there are some threads about it here, and I think I understand the default SAP behavior, but can you please confirm if I am right? Then I got a special question about one case.
So is it right that there is only the difference between formatting the textfield itself in adobe form layout and adding a style to the text field in form context?
    This means:
    (1) Whenever in my text field in form context no style is added, the adobe form will take the formatting like it is done in the adobe form layout? This would mean that every format which is entered in the SO10 text is insignificant for the adobe form?
    (2) Whenever in my text field a style is added, SAP will use SO10 text formats? This means, SAP searches for the smartforms style which is entered in the textfield and uses the formats from SO10 text like they were defined in the smartforms style?
    Is this correct so far?
    Now the special questions:
    (1) What happens if a style is added, but the style does not exist as smartforms style. Which font etc. will be used then?
    (2) What happens if a style is added, but the format of SO10 text does not exist in the smartform style?
In both cases it looks like SAP takes some "default" style, but where does it come from?
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards
    Michael

  • Adobe Forms Date Format DD.MM.YYYY.

    Hi Experts,
I am new to Adobe Forms(Transaction SFP) . The Client has requirement to display the data in DD.MM.YYYY format.
I saw that the standard 'Date fields' in ADOBE forms does not have this format.
    Any Ideas.
    Thanks.

    Hi
Drag and drop the Date/Time Field  from Library pallet into Layout. Right click on it  -> Go to Palletes -> select Object -> go to the Field tab ->
In Display Pattern you simply specify the date format as   DD.MM.YYYY and the active it and test it.
Try this once. It will work.
    Thanks

  • Adobe forms  - format G_RAW - output tray

    Hello,
I was using formats of device type (DINA4) to print sapscript formulars in different output trays. Now I have switched to adobe forms.
Adobe forms are always printed (as I've understood) in G_RAW format, and not in DINA4 format as I want.
For my printer ( KYO FS95XX PCL POSS, Driver  HPL2 HP Laserjet) I'm not able to manipulate output trays in "Printer initialization" for G_RAW format (in SPAD).
    Example for DINA4:
    Example for G_RAW:
Do you have any suggestion how to:
    1. Change format from G_RAW to DINA4?
    2. To manipulate output trays of G_RAW format?
    Thanks,
    Evgenij

    Hello Evgenij,
the reason why format G_RAW doesn't have any printer actions (e.g. tray commands) in default is that the contents of this format will not be evaluated by R/3.
In contrast, the contents of a DINA4 spool (SAPScript / SmartForm) will be interpreted according to the OTF rules. This means that storing an ADS (Adobe Document Services) data in DINA4 format could cause errors which hinder the printing of that spool, because ADS can not generate spools in OTF format.
    These mean the following:
ADS spools should only be stored in G_RAW format. No other format should be selected as it could have unforeseen consequences (so the spool won't be printed)
Editing the "Printer initialization" of G_RAW for tray commands is not needed, because:
SAP KBA #2111085 - "Tray control in SAP" describes how tray selection can be done for ADS spools:
"You can select the tray using a job profile (see SAP Note 1743567) or by making a change to the XDC file and selecting the paper size assigned to the tray in the form or using a job profile (see SAP Note 766410)."
"If this has not been done and you choose "Additional Print Options" and select print options here (including using a default setting for the output device), these are used."
"You can define print tickets again in the definition of the output device in transaction SPAD. If no print options are selected in the print dialog box, the print ticket passed to the form interface by the print program is used (field IE_OUTPUTPARAMS-PRINTTICKET when the function module FP_JOB_OPEN is called)."
"If no print ticket is passed by the print program, the print ticket for which the "Standard Print Ticket" indicator is set for the output device is used. For this, you must use the report RSPO0021 to set the parameter SPAD_TRAY_IFBA."
"If there is no standard print ticket, the system uses the tray set on the "Output Attributes" tab in the definition of the output device in transaction SPAD (if the parameter SPAD_TRAY_IFBA is set)."

  • Formating field on the Adobe form

    Hi All,
I have a field matnr which is displayed on the adobe form with the leading zeros. Eg 000000000001003800, However I want this field to get displayed in the internal format such as 100-3800. How to get this resolved. Has anybody worked on the same before.
    Regards,
    Sanjay.

    Hi All,
I wrote the code in the initialization and used the conversion FM  CONVERSION_EXIT_MATN1_OUTPUT, However the output is not coming as desired. It is printing the same as discussed above.
Item table is defined in the global parameter
thus the code looks like below:
    loop at item into w_item
      call function CONVERSION_EXIT_MATN1_OUTPUT
                  importing  =  w_item-matnr
                  exporting  =  w_item-matnr.
then I am modifying the internal table with the exporting parameter as matnr.
    endloop.
I tried to put a break-point, however it does not stop there.
Is there anyother look out for this.
    Regards,
    Sanjay.
