ADOBE Forms (Creating Dynamic Forms)

I am currently creating a form using Adobe Professional 8. IT is three pages each created on separate form files (.pdfx). I combine the files into a PDF package.
I want to link up the pages together so that when the user types in a value on the first page that it also appears on another box on the second and third page.
I also want it to be filled using Adobe Acrobat Reader and saved, then submitted.

Ensure the fields which are required to be filled on multiple pages have
the same field name, use the distribute form option and you're done.

Multiple images into a subform in a dynamic non-interactive adobe form

I want to convert a set of images into a PDF (one page for each image) with Webdynpro. I'm trying with a non-interactive adobe form.
I followed the tutorial "Dynamic Non-Interactive PDF Form".
I've got a multiple Context node: 'Images' with a string attribute 'url' for each image.
In the form, I've created subform1, and subform2 within. I put an image field into subform2, setting its url to: $record.Images[*].url
and its script to: this.value.image.href = xfa.resolveNode(this.value.image.href).value;
It doesn't work.
If I add a field into subform2 binding it to url attribute, I can see some lines with the correct path for each image, but the image isn't displayed.
It works with a single dynamic image in the page. What am I doing wrong?

No. It's form scripting. In any case I'm working with Webdynpro Java.
I tried this code in table 'initialize' event.

Table1.Row1[int].Cell4.value.#image.href = $record.Images[int].url;
endfor
Cell4 is a static image.
In 04SP9, it show always the same image in the image field (first column), and alternating image in cell4 (second column).
In 04sSP6, it shows always the same image in all the rows in both columns.
Any idea? I didn't find any OSS related.

Populate Default Dynamic Filename In Adobe Form (On Click of Save in Menu) - SAP

Hi,
We have a scenario in which we want to populate the file name dynamically in Adobe form integrated in SAP Webdynpro.
Scenario -
A adobe form has been intergrated in the SAP webydnpro application which opens the form in Web Browser (IE).
There is a save button which is part of standard adobe form menu and on click of that save button (circled - 1 in image ) the name of the form ( i.e techincal name of adobe form created in SAP {ZTESTSS} ( circled - 2 in image ) appears.
We want to change the default name to (employee_date_time ) on click of save.
We have found a approch by using the folder level javascripts (http://forums.adobe.com/message/2266799#2266799%232266799).
In case we use folder level scripts "where should we write the JavaScript code in the Adobe Form to trrigger the this script on click of Save Button (in the menu)?"
Also is there any other apporch which does not require folder level javascript as its a security issue also we need to maintain in all the user systems.
Please let me know the approch to address the issue.

Hi,
you can't change the behavior of the save button in the browser nor in Reader/Acrobat.
You can add a custom button within your form which calls a custom script from a folder level script using the browserForDoc method.
The browseForDoc methos is the only one whcih can change the name in the saveAs dialog.
Here's an example., you can run from Acrobat console.
You need to combine it with the solution from the other thread to make it work with your form.

How to creater dynamic form in Acrobat 9

Can I make a form that will dynamically add pages (with header and footer) when needed in Adobe Acrobat 9 and if so where is the best documentation on how to do this?

You can dynamically add pages using templates. This requires some relatively simple JavaScript programming. It will work in Acrobat (Pro or Standard) and Reader 11 (Win/mac), but not previous versions of Reader. Here are some links to the Acrobat javaScript reference:

If you don't get a two-paned window with the navigation pane on the left, click "Show Navigation" icon in the upper-left.
If it has to work with previous versions for Reader, Acrobat 9 Pro for Windows comes with the LiveCycle Designer application. With it you can create dynamic XFA forms that can work with Reader.

Adobe form - Printing images dynamically

I have created a simple read-only (not interactive) Adobe form. At the end of the document, I need to print a signature depending upon the approver (which I can access from the data structure imported into the form.).
If I create an image field, how do I assign the image dynamically depending on the approver?
I have thought of an alternative solution of creating 3 separate forms each with a static image of the signature and calling a separate form in the program depending on the approver. But I was wondering if I can assign images dynamically so that I can have only one form.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

How to handle Adobe Form - Dynamic Tables.

Experts:
I am new to Web DynPro for ABAP and Adobe Interactive forms.
I have created a Adobe form with dynamic table. When I submit the form, WD4A is able to read only the first row of the table. Other rows are getting lost.
I thought just binding with the context will trasfer data from Adobe to WD4A. But it is not happending.
Do I need to write any code in WD4A and any script in Adobe Designer?
Can any one send me a sample code (ABAP and JavaScript). Even link to that will be very useful.

Dynamic image in Adobe Form

Hello experts,
I have created a form with the transaction sfp and want to bind in an image. This image has to be dynamic, so that it can be changed, if necessary.
Is it possible to have an image in a structure and this structure in the interface of the adobe form in sfp?
The structure will be part of a web dynpro for abap context. So I will create the dynamic in the web dynpro component.
Can someone help?

Dynamic drop down list in Adobe forms

I have created a drop down list using enumerated drop down list from webdynpro native tab and binded in the object palette by giving $record.sap-vhlist.DESCR\.DATA\.FIELD.item[]* in the list items dynamically.DESCR is the field in the internal table into which i fetched data from the database table .I have written this code in a BADI.I dont know whether my form's display type is activex or native? I am not getting any values in the drop down list.can anybody please tell me what might be missing and how should i know whether my form is ActiveX or Native?

I have done a dynamic drop down list in which DESCR field comes from database table and pops into the drop down dynamically. I was working for a PCR scenario so the adobe form was called from portal.I will tell u all the required steps.It might work for u as it is working for me:
1.In the form:
I used two elements from library first is a "ENUMERATED DROP DOWN LIST NO SELECT" from web-dynpro native tab and second is "ISR_TEXT DISPLAY INVISIBLE ON EDIT MODE" from ISR controls tab.Place them one on other inthe form.
For drop down list the setting are:
     In object, field tab click on list items there in ITEMS put :$record.sap-vhlist.DESCR\.DATA\.FIELD.item[*].in ITEMS TEXT write text in ITEMS KEY write key.
     In binding,in default binding put $record.DESCR.DATA[*].FIELD.
For text element the settings are:
     In binding,default binding put Normal.
     when we select ISR_TEXT DISPLAY INVISIBLE ON EDIT MODE it automatically comes with calculated read only int he value tab.so open script editor and place the below code:
$record.DESCR.DATA.FIELD (in calculate).
2.Now the code in BADI is as follows:
In BADI we have to write the code for drop down list in the METHOD "SCENARIO_SET_ADDITIONAL_VALUES"
As i didnt change the standard BADI i added an enhancement spot in which i wrote a function module which fills ADDITIONAL_DATA. and the below code fills the ADDITIONAL_DATA .

        t_t554t TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF t554t WITH HEADER LINE.

    ADD 1 TO ls_additional_data-fieldindex.

    ls_additional_data-fieldname ='DESCR_LABEL'.
    ls_additional_data-fieldvalue = t_t572b-descr.
    APPEND ls_additional_data TO additional_data.
    CLEAR t_t572b.
ENDLOOP.
For DESCR field the we have to declare DESCR_KEY and DESCR_LABEL in the place holders for key values and palce holders for default values in characteristics tab(where all the fields for the form are defined) of ur respective scenario.(where ur pcr scenario is defined)

If ur form is not called from portal and u want a dynamic drop down list the difference is put a data drop down list and in object, field tab click on list items there in ITEMS select the field into which u populated the data from the database table (this code shud be written in code Initialization in the respective interface) and in ITEMS TEXT put $ in ITEMS KEY put $.and in binding as we normally do bind it to the respective field in which the data is populated from database table.
It should work.

ADOBE Form Using Table with dynamic number of rows

First some information about our infrastructure:
- AdobeDesigner 7.1 in the Developerstudio
- SAP-Portal 7.0 SP15
I have a View with tabstrips and behind the tabs i have defined an event. On one Tab I included a ADOBE-Form with Table. The Data for the PDF sould only filled in the context for the Form when i jump to this Tab. To fill the tablecontext I use the following Code:

If i put this code in the wdDoInit method it works fine and shows me 5 Rows. But if I put the code in the Action of the tabstrip it shows me only one row. I checked the entries of the context and there are 5 entries (showed them in a WD-Table).
Can someone tell me what im doing wrong?

finally i found the solution for the problem.
When you define the interactive Form in the view do not define the property "dataSource" of UI-Element Interactive Form it seems, that the binding is static and not dynamic.
Add the following source to the viewCotroller
Global Part of the Source:

Adobe Form: Dynamic vlaue for Include text name. Script Coding

Situtation:
Need to print an 'Include Text' in the Adobe form.
The key texname for the include name is dynamic - invoice number + position number.
I have created a Global Data variable item_textkey and assigned it to the inculde textname in 'Context'.
The Problem is I dont know how or where to assign a value to this global data variable at runtime, so the right include text is pulled up.
I tried the code in the "FormCalc' of the text field. But it doesnt work.
$record.ITEM_TEXTKEY = Concat ($record.IS_VBDKR.VBELN, $record.IS_VBDPR.POSNR)

Try the following in initialize event of the main subform

To make TEXT field in adobe forms dynamic

Hi Experts,
I have requirement in adobe forms where based on certain condition I want change the TEXT field accordingly.
Example if material number in of gas type than text will be "GAS MATERIAL" and then populating corresponding material number.
If itu2019s of hard goods type than text has be "HARD GOODS MATERIAL".
Please let me how this requirement can be achieved ASAP.

Hi,
Yes you can definitely make a field dynamic. Bind the text fields with varibale of type Material Number and its description which will have to create in the context (Interface) of the adobe forms. These values you can pass from your driver program or Web-Dynpro.

Dynamic row counter column in Adobe Forms

One of the very few options you have is loading them all into the form as embedded images, and then dynamically making the visible and hidden depending on your conditions.
Dynamic loading of images (from a URL or remote location) was completely removed from Interactive Forms a while ago as it was deemed insecure. (and it is)
The second option is loading them all into your SAP system and then making a webservice which you call with a trigger to return you the binary form of the image, which you can read by creating the correct type in the Context.

Formatting ADOBE forms dynamically

I am creating a pricing letter in ADOBE forms which will be called through an ABAP program. I want to change formatting of some of the fields dynamically on the basis of fields values. e,g. If I want to change Font size or color of the fields on the basis of field value how can I do this?

The example I gave you above is FormCalc scipting. As far as documentation, I am not aware of a any site that has the events and properties documented. I, like yourself, had a difficult time figuring out the syntax for dynamically changing properties. I have a training class book that I got from one of my colleagues which has helped some. AdobeForms does not have a debugging tool as far as I know. I will be happy to help you out if I can but I am by no means an expert.

Using SFP to create an Adobe form

Does anyone out there know how to configure a Adobe form that will continue printing the rows of a dynamic table on to the next page?
90% of the time only one page is required to print the table because the number of rows is small..
The solution we would like is to create the second page only if the dynamic table rows grow too large to print on one page.
We have tried reading the SFP help documentation several times but still can not configure it correctly.

1. keep the table in the body page(and not in master page)
2. wrap the table in a subform, and make it page break allowed with flowed layout in the object palette )

'Submit' on dynamically generated adobe form

Hello,
I have a dynamic adobe form, which at run time generates the pages based on certain conditions. There are 3 sub-forms whose visibility is controlled via javascript ( again based on condition ). At run time, at once, one page can hold either of these sub-forms. This is an offline scenario and i have the submit button always coming up at the last page.
The issue is that, when i click on 'Submit' only the data in the last page gets picked up for the web service. The data in the previous pages are not being picked up.
For ex : say Page 1 has sub form A
Page 2 has sub form B
Page 3 has sub form C,
the data in Page 3 alone is getting submitted.
However, if i generate the form only for A / B / C, (only one page scenario ) it works fine. The issue is when more than one page is generated.
How to make the submit button function across all the pages?

Hi Anantharam,
Please create and action in your view and attach it to your Interactive form UI element's onSubmit event. By doing this, whenecver you press the Submit button in the form, this action will be invoked. You can place any methots/code that you want to execute on click of submit button.
If you are using the button outside the form, then you try printing one of the values that you filled in the form which is binded to context. This way you can test.
If you are using WDP activex UI element s in the form then you need to have ACF installed on the machine and also ensure that the displayMode property of Interactive form is set to ActiveX.
