Adobe Interactive Form - SubForm Set

Hi Helper
Could someone please tell me what a 'Sub-form Set' is and What it is used for - Thanks

Hi,
A subform set is a grouping of two or more repeating or multipage subforms. You can use the subform set to control the order in which Adobe document services renders the subforms within the set, based on the order that the subforms appear within the set.
The subform set has two options for rendering the subforms within the set:
Use All Subforms in Order: All subforms appear in the output and the order is same as the order in Subform set.
Select one subform from alternative:
one subform appears in the final output, you can define the codition in Edit alternative button, that enables once you select this option from the Object tab.
Hope this helps you,
Amit

  • Guided Procedures - Adobe Interactive Form : Subform not working

    Hello All,
    I am trying to develop a  GP Process. This has a Callable Object ( User Interface-> Webdynpro Component GP Interface).
    The Callable Object has an Interactive Adobe form with "Subform"  functionalities. When clicked on a button, it should call a Subform within the Adobe form. At present Adobe form is displayed but, on click of the button doesnot display the subform.
    When testing the adobe independently, the subform opens.
    Please let me know if I need to consider anyother parameters. I have now chosen, Default Language as Form Calc.
    Your inputs will be very helpful.
    Thank you.

    Hi Satya,
    Thanks for your reply.
    I got my mistake with the help of my colleague.
    I had missed to add the below code in wdDoModifyView. It now works well :
    Code I added is this -
    IWDInteractiveForm iForm1 = (IWDInteractiveForm) view.getElement("InteractiveForm");
    iForm1.setDynamicPDF(true);
    Thanks,
    Best Regards,

  • How to binnding the data in the adobe interactive forms for making a table?

    Hi, experts,
    Function:
    Through the sharing context node between adobe interactive form and a WDA for ABAP, display the data of the sflight_node in the ADOBE.
    version:
    Acrobat Reader 8.1.0
    currently both of the SAP-ABA and SAP-BASIS SP level: 9
    ADS : Successful.
    The following is my action:
    1.     Create a interface (Z_SFLIGHT_INTF) with a attribute node (SFLIGHT_NODE) that type is "sflight"  using the transaction code "sfp"
    2.     Create a form (Z_SFLIGHT_FORM) using the transaction code "sfp" with the interface Z_SFLIGHT_INTF.
    3.     Trag the sflight_node in the Z_SFLIGHT_INTF to the form( Z_SFLIGHT_FORM).
    4.     Open the layout tab in the form(Z_SFLIGHT_FORM), and create a table(table1). Click the table created just now, select the binding tab in the object tab, and in the Default Binding, select the SFLIGHT_NODE under the Z_SFLIGHT_FORM.
    Problem 1:
    Do you tell me whether is right for binding the context SFLIGHT_NODE using this way? If bind 3 context attributes in the sflight, how can I do it?
    5.     Create a WDA for abap (ZZ_02_SFLIGHT), and create a view(MAINVIEW) using transaction code "se80" in the sap-gui with adobe interactive form. Set the templatesource(Z_SFLIGHT_FORM) in the  adobe interactive form properties and saved, and then, datasource is "MAINVIEW_Z_SFLIGHT_FORM" automatically.
    6.     But I only found the attribute SFLIGHT_NODE under the context node(Z_SFLIGHT_NODE), and  I don't found the NODE ( SFLIGHT_NODE ) context in the context tab in the WDA for abap so that I don't set data to the context NODE (SFLIGHT_NODE).
    Problem 2:
    Do you tell me what can I do it so that I get the node SFLIGHT_NODE rather than attribute in the WDA for setting the data to the CONTEXT NODE (SFLIGHT_NODE)?
    Thanks a lot.
    Best regards,
    Tao

  • Adobe Interactive Form is not working - Specify Stream Source

    Hi Experts:
    I am having an issue, where the system I am on is SAP ERP Central Component 5.0 (ECC5.0). There is no Layout Tab to define ZCI or xACF in transaction SFP. I'm not sure if this is relevant, except that, I cannot get my custom Interactive form to work.
    All PDF tests in SAP are passing, but being on ECC5.0, I do not have the following programs (among many others):
    FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE
    FP_CHECK_HTTP_DATA_TRANSFER
    When I call my Adobe Interactive Form and set sfpdocparams-fillable = 'X' I get an error:
    Error creating PDF Document -PDF Exception: Stream does not represent a PDF document.
    I have applied the Usage Rights credential properly and my form displays read-only when sfpdocparams-fillable = BLANK. While in transaction SFP, I can see that my interactivity works when displaying the form through the Preview PDF tab.
    Also, I know that my credential works because when I test form ISR_FORM_SPEG, I do have interactivity.
    In parsing through the ADS log file of my custom AIF, I noticed the following:
        Parse template node
            Template:
                Source = Stream
                Name = TEMPLATE
    But I believe it should be something like:
         Parse template node
             Template:
                 Source = URL
                 Name = dest:FP_ICF_DATA_<My_System_ID>//sap/bc/fp/form/layout/<My_Form_Name>.
    Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can change the source of my stream?
    Thanks for your time experts,
    Sean

    Hi Sean
    In the Visual Admin of the server that runs the ADS check under server->services->destinations click on http folder. There should be something under that called FP_ICF_DATA_<sid of backend>. If there is not then create one in there.

  • Adobe Interactive Forms Set Fillable through SFP

    Hello Gurus,
    I have a question regarding adobe interactive forms. I have created an interface and form in transaction SFP. The form is being called as an email attachment during an issue creation. What i want to do is set the form fillable in the import structure /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS. I tried to do this through the code initialization in the interface but it does not set the form fillable. I have no other code interaction with the from besides in the code initialization section of the interface. Is there a straight forward way to set it fillable? Thanks.

    Hello Timothy
    You must be generating the PDF and emailing it as an attachment in background in your program.
    Refer to code below, It should work
    * get the name of the generated function module
       try.
           call function 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
             exporting
               i_name     = 'DEMO_ADOBE_OFFLINE'
             importing
               e_funcname = fm_name.
         catch cx_fp_api.
           assert 1 = 2.
       endtry.
    * set output parameters and open spool job
       fp_outputparams-preview  = 'X'.    " do not launch print preview
       fp_outputparams-nodialog = 'X'.    " suppress print dialog
       fp_outputparams-connection = cl_fp=>get_ads_connection( ).
       fp_outputparams-getpdf   = 'X'.
       call function 'FP_JOB_OPEN'
         changing
           ie_outputparams = fp_outputparams
         exceptions
           cancel          = 1
           usage_error     = 2
           system_error    = 3
           internal_error  = 4
           others          = 5.
       assert sy-subrc = 0.
    * set the form to be editable
    * Try to set fp_docparams- FILLABLE = 'F' instead of fp_docparams- FILLABLE = 'X'
    fp_docparams-fillable = 'F'.
    * call the generated function module to generate the pdf
       call function fm_name
         exporting
           /1bcdwb/docparams  = fp_docparams
           /1bcdwb/docxml     = xml
         importing
           /1bcdwb/formoutput = fp_result
         exceptions
           usage_error        = 1
           system_error       = 2
           internal_error     = 3
           others             = 4.
       assert sy-subrc = 0.
    * close spool job
       call function 'FP_JOB_CLOSE'
    *   IMPORTING
    *     E_RESULT             =

           usage_error          = 1

  • Problem setting an Open Password on an Adobe Interactive Form

    Hi,
    I'm generating a series of Adobe Interactive Forms using data pulled from R3 via BAPIs.  The PDFs are created without an issue but I want to put an Open Password on them (a password the user must enter in order to open the PDF).
    From my reading of the APIs the following code should do this, however it doesn't.  The PDF which is created simply has no password protection at all.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
                IWDPDFDocumentCreationContext creationContext = WDPDFDocumentFactory.getDocumentHandler().getDocumentCreationContext();
                creationContext.setTemplate(templateSourceOutputStream);
                creationContext.setData(dataSourceOutputStream);
                creationContext.setDynamic(true);
                creationContext.setProtection("openpasswordalias", null, null);
                IWDPDFDocument pdfDoc = creationContext.execute();
    Edit: My apologies, this should have been posted in the   Expert Forums  » SAP NetWeaver  » SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe  forum rather than here.  I have reposted this question there:

    sure you can. you can create that pdf within a webdynpro compoment with interface. that way information can be passed back and forth between the pdf and the webdynpro context and the gp context. how to create a pdf within webdynpro is very well documented on sdn as well as how to create a webdynpro with gp interface.

  • Hiding a field in adobe interactive form

    Hi All!
    I am working with Adobe Interactive form. I want to make a <i><b>subform</b></i> invisible based on the selection of one of the options in the <i><b>dropdown list</b></i>. I tried the following javascript in the change event of the <i><b>dropdown list</b></i>:
    <i><b>xfa.resolveNodes("subformName").presence = "invisible";</b></i>
    but nothing happens when i change the value of the <i><b>dropdown list</b></i>.
    Please suggest some solution for this.
    Thanks!

    Hi Temp,
                 We can use a data driven approach for setting the presence. The “Minimum Occurrence property’ has to be set as 0. In this approach if data does not exists at runtime for that particular node, the complete subform will be invisible without any reserved space. (In this approach also layout has to be set as Flow Layout only).
    regards
    Sumit

  • Online Adobe Interactive Form must be changed before SAVE works properly

    HI guys,
    We are using Adobe Reader X.
    We arr launching an ABAP Web Dynpro application that has an Adobe Interactive Form linked to it.
    Our Adobe Form has many "subforms"  and we determine what you see based off your Web Dynpro choices
    The problem we are having is the display of the Adobe Form will change perfectly, but if you SAVE a copy to your PC using the Adobe buttons, what gets saved to your PC doesn't match what you see on the screen.
    However, if you change any data on the Adobe Form and then SAVE, the version on your PC now matches what you see on the screen.
    Has anyone else run into this?
    Thanks,
    Anthony

    Hi Antony,
    At the 1st intance, you have data completly, and on change event you are making the subforms visibility dyanmically.
    Fine now once the form is saved locally, and then its opened, the Abobe reader doesn't know the visibility status.
    So here again on form ready check the repective field value which treggers its visibility and set its presence.
    For example: if the form is like flowing to different users in a workflow, to maintain its earlier status this is how I do it.
    which mean I will have a same validation and script for both form ready & change events.
    Hope this helps you out.
    Cheers,
    Sai

    Hi Siva,
    If you are developig your form using NWDS, make sure about the cardinality of the context parameter - data Source not 0..1 or 0..n.You may refer similar threads (of same kind of error) in this forum..
    Hope this helps. Assuming you have successfully tested, ADS and the credential file at the ABAP stack, by rurnning the respective ABAP reports.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Adobe Interactive Form is displayed in Read Only mode

    Hi All,
    I created Adobe Interactive Form in SFP.
    The following properties are set to the form.
    Layout Type -ZCI Layout
    Preview Type - Interactive Form
    XDP Preview Format - Acrobat 7.0.5 Dynamic PDF
    In PDF preview tab, I can enter data into the Text Fields.
    I added this form in a web dynpro ABAP application using Interactive Form UI element.
    The following properties are set to the UI element.
    DataSource - bound to the context
    displayType - native
    enabled - checked
    templateSource - Formname
    readonly - unchecked.
    When I run this application, the form is displayed in readonly mode.
    I can't enter any data into the text field.
    Any of you guys know that how to resolve this?
    Thanks
    Thruna

    Hi,
    I already face the same issue and after several days working on this issue and many hours on debugging it seems that interface type is very important if you want to use the form in WD4A (this requirement is confirmed by SAP thru an OSS message for me )
    Does the interface based on DDIC or XML ?
    If it's a DDIC interface , sorry that can't works in WD4A as interactive forms. You must define the interface as based on XML for this .
    Hope this help you.
    PS : Finally ,as my forms was very complicated my customer decide to not make it available in WD4A .....

  • Browser hangs when an Adobe Interactive Form is

    Hi Folks,
    I'm fairly new to ABAP (< 1 year) and am in the process of creating my first Adobe Interactive Form. In fact it will be the first IFbA at our company, when I get done with it!
    Here's the problem am facing: The Interactive Form that I'm building is called within an ABAP Web Dynpro application. If the displayType in the view is set to 'native', when the IFbA is called, the browser hangs and eventually shows the form after 5 full minutes. However, if it is set to 'activeX', it comes up with the form instantly. It does not matter what objects(WD activeX or native) I have on the form, It does the same thing.
    Our System information:
    SAP_Basis and SAP_ABA: 701 SP5
    ADS: 802.20100902045248.720952
    Adobe Reader 9
    I've looked at the SAP Note 999998 and have pretty much done what they've asked for. But, have had no progress with it. I'm pretty much at my wits end. So, somebody please help?!
    Thanks,
    CS

    Hi,
    Goto the Layout,
    Then goto Utilities->Insert WebDynproScript  and Activate.
    it will work.

  • ABAP Webdynpro ADOBE interactive form

    Hi All,
    I have a problem when reading attachments from online adobe interactive form in Webdynpro ABAP.
    I have tried two options:
    Option1:
    Get FP reference.
    l_fp = cl_fp=>get_reference( ).
    try.
    Create PDF Object.
    l_pdfobj = l_fp->create_pdf_object( connection = 'ADS' ).
    Set document.
    l_pdfobj->set_document( pdfdata = lv_pdf ).
    Set task to get attachments.
    l_pdfobj->set_task_getattachments( ).
    Execute, call ADS.
    l_pdfobj->execute( ).
    Get result.
    l_attachments = l_pdfobj->get_attachments( ).
    CATCH cx_fp_runtime_system INTO exc.
    xslt_message = exc->get_text( ).
    ENDTRY.
    option 2: in wdomodify method
    DATA l_ifba TYPE REF TO cl_wd_interactive_form.
    l_ifba ?= view->get_element( 'IF_001' ).
    DATA l_form_method_handler TYPE REF TO IF_WD_IACTIVE_FORM_METHOD_HNDL.
    l_form_method_handler ?= l_ifba->_method_handler.
    DATA l_attachments TYPE tfpattachments.
    l_attachments = l_form_method_handler->get_attachments( ).
    Both options are not getting the attachments.
    Our SAP Netweaver version is 7 and ehp 4, ADS configured.
    If i save the pdf with attachments locally and then use the UI upload and read the attachments it works. But not when the interactive form is online and when i add attachments to it and click submit(where submit code is the option 1 code), it is not finding any attachments. I wonder whether pdfsource context stores the attachments or not.
    When i check the note, SAP say that attachments are supported from ehp2.
    What is that i am missing? Any direction would be good.
    In worst case i will do webdynpro screens for attachments maintenance, wanted to check with all experts before taking this option.
    Please someone answer.
    Thanks
    Anu

    >When i check the note, SAP say that attachments are supported from ehp2.
    That is correct.  Attachments are supported as of NetWeaver 7.0 Enhancement Package 2.
    >Our SAP Netweaver version is 7 and ehp 4, ADS configured.
    Not possible.  NetWeaver 7.0 Enhancement Package 4 doesn't even exist yet.  In fact 7.0 Enhancement Package 2 won't start ramp-up until December 20th. I think you are confusing your ERP Enhancement Package level with your NetWeaver Enhancement Package level.  I'm guessing that it is much more likely that you are on ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 4.  This level of ERP actually runs on NetWeaver 7.0 Enhancement Package 1.

  • Print Preview in RFx does not show new Adobe Interactive Form

    Hello Experts,
    I am trying to assign a standard Adobe Interactive form as the output form for SRM RFQ.  I have carried out the following steps in customising under "Define Actions for Document Output".
    - Selected bid invitation Action Profile = BBP_PD_BID
    - Go to "Processing Types"
    - Create a new Processing Type called "External Communication"
    - Set the following values to the new processing type:
         - Form Name = BBP_BID_INV_ADB
         - Form Type = P PDF-Based Forms
         - Format = BBP_BID_INV_ADB_MAI
         - Personalization Type = 5 - Recipeient Variable Replacement
    - Save Changes
    My problem is that when I go to into the BID (RFx) and click "Print Preview" it picks up the standard Smartform, not the new Adobe form I have added as required.
    Please can you advise of any additional config settings or other steps required to ensure that the Adobe Form is called when I click "Print Preview"?
    We are on SRM 7.0.
    I look forward your response.

    Matt
