Adobe platform and Facebook Platform
Hi.
I just discovered new adobe platform for fb. Is there any place that I can search for a more reference than ducumentation? I read tutorial how to start but what i need is some kind of forum where I can ask for a things reletad to that. Is there a name for that platform ? How to call it anyway?
I started my first fb project in flash and I have a fb and flash integration already. I call for a user name, user profile photo ect. from flash, and it's works fine. Tutorials on adobe site halps me do this, but i do have a problem with fb authentication. I'm as a fb user already authorise on my facebook app, and that's working fine, but when new user open my app, he is not promped for an authentication from fb and user info can't be loaded to flash. So how can i force flash to authentication? In my project i have:

Am I correct in understanding that you want to actually publish a Captivate to facebook? Is your goal for the end user to be able to view the Captivate via facebook?
Assuming so, the only way I can fathom that happening is if you created a simple video from Captivate and uploaded the Captivate video as a video in facebook. And that would have no interactivity. You would just watch it play.

Repeated issues with Adobe Flash and Facebook Firefox 6
I have had repeated ongoing issues since upgrading to Firefox 6. Adobe Flash crashes repeatedly, even after installing the newest. In particular having a ton of issues with Facebook. It all works fine in IE, so have narrowed it down.
I think I would just like to go back to Firefox 5. Is that available somewhere?Anyone able to help please?

Adobe software and suites with cross platform licenses
Hello,
I am aware that Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements, and Lightroom come with cross-platform licenses (so I can install one copy on my PC and one copy on my Mac using the same serial number).
Because I own a Mac and a PC, this type of license is very useful for me.
Could you please provide a full list of Adobe software and software suites which carry this type of license?
ThanksYour list is complete. As far as Creative Suites are concerned, only Creative Cloud or Volume Licenses allow cross-platform use and activation. All otehr normal retail bundles are platform specific.

I have an iMac G5 (20 inch screen) i sight (no intel chip).Leopard OS 10.5.8. Recently I went on Facebook and tried to open a movie site someone had sent me on Facebook andwhen I tried to open the video on Facebook, I was told I had to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player. i tried to do this, but turns out that Facebook is requiring folks to have an intel chip in order to view movies...this is outrageous! Just think of all the folks in the world who have great running pre intel chip Apple computers. I called the Adobe Help line and was told that I really needed to buy a new computer....no thanks. How do I find a way to get a new version of Adobe for Facebook and youtube. I wish Apple could develop a way to have intel chips installed in the older computers. If you have any suggestions on this please let me know.

As to Flash Videos: I am in a similar same boat. I cannot watch flash videos on the BBC website or on BBC iPlayer, although all other flash videos (YouTube and FaceBook for example) are fine.
For reasons that passeth all understanding, they work with the PPC version of Firefox, called TenFourFoxG5.app, once you have anabled plug-ins, as it does not natively support Flash.

Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:

But there is a workaround!
Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
I am using Flash 10.1.102.64 in TenFourFox and it works just fine. -
i have windows xp. i just got the computer and internet on it. i downloaded adobe flash and real player. but i still can't get sites like facebook and youtube to work. i always get popups that ask if its a trusted site and to add the exception, which i do. yahoo and msn work, i can see photos and pictures and images just fine, but facebook and youtube are still all just words and error messages. any suggestions besides what i've already tried? i'm not tech savvy so step by step is how i learn best!
Check the date and time and time zone in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.
Check out why the site is untrusted and click "Technical Details" to expand this section.
If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the <b>issuer of the certificate</b>.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If <b>"I Understand the Risks"</b> is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
*Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.
*Note that it is not recommended to add a permanent exception in cases like this, so only use it to inspect the certificate. -
When using FF 5.0, rollover type ads (i.e. ads for XBOX) on Facebook game Lexulous pages are 'enlarged' and block 1/3 of the game board. Using up to date versions of Win 7 Home Premium, Adobe Flash and ActiveX on an HP Pavillion dv7 laptop. Does NOT happen at all in MS IE 8, but occurs every time in FF 5.0.
Also, Google 'translate this page' links do not work in FF 5.0, but works in MS IE 8. All I get in FF is a blank page, time after time.Hi,

In my desktop I am using an ATI XFX 6950, latest revision drivers (I am not at home right now so I cant get that info).
The issue I did describe above, but it was a long explanation.
In some flash games the game files load initially and get as far as the "click to start" button. Then the flash area usually goes either all white or all black (usually depending on the falsh game default background color) and then it stays that color. Cant see anything after hitting start (usually most games have an intro video or animation before the game starts, but I cant see any of it.
For the very few games that do start, the flash game or application does not seem to work correctly in that when the rare game starts, it wont save any game files or save files to the pc and so if I exit the game (navigate away to another page or close browser) and then later come back, even though I click the option to save games (and ensure that the flash application slider shows it can save files and lots of space) it does not save and I have to start from the beginning all the time.

What can I do with Adobe Flash Upgrade required issues and facebook.

I do not want to change to a differnt browser to fix this. I am not able to run some YouTube files if sent through email and any items that use flash on face book both ask for me to update. I uninstalled adobe and all of its products as well as deleted all internet files and cookies. I than re-installed Flash and rebooted and I still get the message that I need to update Adobe Flash and it will not let me view the information.
I am not sure what to do next as this has been an issue for a long time.

Facebook and Facebook Messenger message push notifications not working?
I have a 4th generation iPod touch running iOS 6.1.5 and an iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.4. On my iPod touch, Facebook and Facebook Messenger give me notifications for everything. On my iPhone, the Facebook app gives me every notification except for messages. Facebook Messenger, on the other hand, doesn't give me any kind of notification aside from the in-app notifications. I've been missing important messages on my iPhone because of this. I've set all notifications settings on my iPhone to "on." I turned on all the notifications settings in the notification center, the apps themselves, and even the Facebook integrated settings under Settings > Facebook. I also tried everything from uninstalling and reinstalling, to hard booting, to logging in and out of the applications, and I even turned off Facebook platform on the computer. I was wondering if this has something to do with being online on both my iPod touch and my iPhone, but my mom has an iPad 3 (I think?) and an iPhone 5s and she never has notification problems. I've already tried Googling my problem up, but none of the solutions worked. I really hope you guys can help me. Thanks a ton in advance!
I've already tried reinstalling and restarting both devices. I now get comment notifications on my ipad but no chat and still nothing on my phone. I don't understand what happened. It was working 2 hours ago.

Greetings from a Photoshop Newbie. I need a computer, preferably a Mac laptop, with some serious processing power. I take photos with a Pentax 645Z; files are 50MB raw. I upload from Adobe Bridge and manipulate the photo, sometimes turning them into files in excess of 250MB. I cannot resize as the large files are needed for enlargements. Have all sorts of problems trying to manipulate, add effects and saving most large files. I need some serious processing power. Can anyone suggest what Mac i should purchase? I thank you in advance for your help :-)
It sounds as if you're having some system-related problems now, unrelated to processing power as such. In particular, a buggy video driver can cause everything to slow to a crawl.
Medium format files are big, true, but not so big as to cause significant slowdowns on a normally functioning and reasonably current computer. A laptop will always be slower than a well-equipped desktop system, though. Mac vs PC plays no part in this, performance is unrelated to platform.
Bottlenecks are different in ACR and Photoshop, so that should give you a clue. ACR is computing-intensive and mostly limited by CPU speed. Photoshop, however, is mostly bandwidth-intensive and mainly limited by memory and disk throughput. It's also sensitive to GPU issues. -

AlbertIf you didn't have the opportunity to deactivate the installations then you should contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations for all the serial numbers involved.

Adobe CS5 and Macbook Pro Retina Display
I recently bought a new Macbook Pro Retina Display notebook. Before I got it, I didn't realize what an effect it would have on my existing programs, and had I known, I would have thought twice before switching. I have never had so many problems with a brand new computer. It seems absurd to me that Apple would introduce a product that was not supported by so many important software platforms, Adobe Creative Suite and Acrobat Pro included.
I have Adobe CS5 and was not planning on upgrading to CS6. It is too expensive and I am a poor PhD student with lots of work to finish. Now when I use my CS5 applications, I see the images in very poor quality. The program will not let me change the "Open in Low Resolution" settings as the button is disabled. I do not know how to make it look better or what to do. I cannot work using this low resolution. It hurts my eyes and I cannot see the lines properly to be able to adjust my drawings.

You're right, the program works and the content produced is unaffected. My rationale to get the program work environment to be Retina compatible includes;
Visual clarity. For reading glasses wearers such as myself, the blockyness can be frustrating. But regardless of middle aged disability, it just looks better when a program is Retina compatible.
It's a major component of my work environment, so making the most of the computer's assets is important to me.
It (OK, this is the emotional statement Rossco ;-)) frustrates me that an Educational program fails to take advantage of a computer type very commonly used in Ed departments. And Retina is not new, nor a passing fad.
Adobe do commit to Retina compatibility, evidenced by Acrobat updated recently. Captivate please!!??

When in Adobe Bridge and trying to create a web photo gallery, under the windows menu and then the workspace menu there is no output option. Where is it?
You haven't provided any sensible, meaningful and detailed information about your setup.
If you gave some sensible, complete and detailed information, someone may be able to help you, such as your platform (Mac or Win), exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop and of Bridge, machine specs, what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far, etc.
There are no clairvoyants or mind readers here.

Hi! I have a Creative suite Design Standard 9 Adobe program and I am attempting to make a wizzard form that can be made into an entry form for a competition. So I need to 1. Make the form into a question and answer form that Participants may fill out. 2. make it possible for them to download it via a link on our website 3. make it possible for them to save the info they have written into the form and mail it to the mail we have supplied in the entry form and 4. make it possible for them to put in a jpg. as part of the entry for and lastly 5. make it possible for us to copy paste the document and use it on other platforms. How do I do this - is it at all possible with adobe?
Those requirements are go way beyond what PDF forms can do and are meant for, some of them would require involving other programs or are mutually exclusive and contradictory. You are wasting your time even thinking about doing this as an "offline" PDF form. Simply sign up for an online forms/ survey service like FormsCentral or Surveymonkey.
