Adobe Send for Signature vs. EchoSign or eSign

I just want to know, is the Adobe Send for Signature plan for $1.99 a month the same as having access to the Adobe EchoSign services or the Adobe DC eSign services? I ask because I currently have Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and do not want to have to upgrade to Adobe DC in order to use any sort of electronic signature applications. I notice the EchoSign service on Acrobat XI, but the name has since changed to eSign. Please just let me know if I can download the Send for Signature plan and have access to the same features.
Thanks!

  • When clicking "Send for Signature" how do I get it to open in EchoSign first so I can place signature fields?

It seems Acrobat Pro XI recently updated and now when I chose to send for signature via echo sign, it just ships the doc off to the recipient willy-nilly with out asking what other fields I may want input, where I may want to sign myself (upon first getting a signature from the other party).  I can of course open the Echo Sign page in my browser, then upload the document, then do all of this, but Acrobat was uploading to Echo Sign and allowing me to skip a few steps.  Are there some preferences I can adjust to change the behavior back to the procedure that was in place previously?

    The above noted problems remain.
And to add to it, there also seems a problem with having a pdf and then, in acrobat, allowing one to sign the document first via in echosign before it is delivered to someone else, in echosign, where all parties have a paid echosign account.  There doesn't seem to be a way to sign via echosign in acrobat.  Acrobat will route a document to a echosign like system, but it is NOT the full featured system that one sees with an echosign account.  It is as if the two services are completely unrelated.
One solution is to save the pdf to desktop.  Then, open the web browser and echosign.  Then drag the file from the desktop into echosign, and go from there.  The drag feature works really well, except you cannot drag a pdf file is an attachment to an email into echosign, as that is not supported.  You must first drag it to the desktop, then drag into echosign.
While this solves the problem this is NOT integrating Echosign with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, as advertised, and it is no different from any other version of Adobe.  Thus, if you are like me and considering buying the latest version of Adobe Pro for use with Echosign, don't as it is a waste of money.  I will update when this issue is fixed.
BTW - support in Echosign says that it has no influence over how Adobe Acrobat implements Echosign and directed me to contact Acrobat.  The problem, of course, is that it did work well, then Acrobat changed it without notice, doesn't appear willing or able to fix it, explain a workaround, or otherwise acknowledge that a change was made.  This is not a cheap product and the incremental improvements for a mature product do not seem to implemented well.

  • I can no longer "send for signature" in Acrobat XI after Echosign update.

I can no longer "send for signature" in Acrobat XI after Echosign update. Now when I click that option, up comes a box that asks me to enter the recipients email and their name. I did a test and it send it to the recipient without me being able to add signature boxes for the recipient in Echosign. It used to upload the document to Echosign and then I could position the recipients signature boxes before sending to them for their signatures...By the way, I use a Macbook Pro.

I want to clarify. When I make a document (in my case a real estate form) I click the "sign" tab in Acrobat XI then "get others to sign." A blue box pops up and says "uploading to Echosign." This is normal so far. At this point, before the recent Echosign update, my browser would automatically open up to the Echosign website and show my document that was just uploaded. Then I was able to position signature boxes for the recipients. Now what happens is a box comes up on my screen and just wants me to send the recipient an email. See photo...

  • Send for Signature Question

Can someone please tell me the following:  Does the send for signature, for $1.99 per month have the following features:
    (1) Ability to save forms with the pre-filled fields you created for use again in the document library?
    (2) Are you able to send an unlimited number of documents for signature?  If no, can you please tell me how many?
Thank you, I appreciate any and all assistance.

    Hi legaleagle888,
The features available in Send for Signature for $1.99 per month are:
    (1) You will be provided with the Pro subscription using which you will be able to use as well as manage the Document Library by logging into https://www.echosign.adobe.com/en/home.html.
    (2) Regarding the number for documents that you can send, you are not programmatically capped in the number of transactions you can send.  The Fair Use Policy (https://www.echosign.adobe.com/en/tou/terms-of-use.html) restricts you to an averaged (month to month) volume of 50 transactions per month, but by not placing a hard cap on the account, you are afforded the opportunity to have spike months where you send more.  If you have a sustained volume over 50 transactions per month, then you may need to purchase a higher level of service.

  • Send for Signature could not send error

Recently got a plan for Send for Signature, and it was working fine doing a few tests until yesterday.
Now, whenever I try to upload a file to create a send for signature document within Adobe Acrobat, I get an error saying "Could not Send. An error has occurred. Please try again."
When I try to access Send for Signature from the web based service, as soon as I click on send for signature, it refreshes the same page and nothing happens.

@radiant : please let us now is the issue resolved ?
If not could you please let us know the LoginID you had used to Login into Acrobat\Reader.

  • How can I send out pending agreements for signature en masse on a scheduled basis?

I'm using EchoSign's Salesforce integration, and I'm trying to create a scheduled batch that will send out a large number of agreements for signature.  EchoSign has some exposed global methods that I'd hoped will help facilitate this, namely AgreementTemplateService.load, which generates an agreement based on an agreement template ID, and EchoSignAPIService.sendDocument, which sends out an agreement that it is provided.  Also, using the background action field on Agreement, it is possible to update an Agreement to 'Send', triggering its send-out.
I can do all this through code anonymously, or via a custom page at the click of a button, but to do it without user interaction is proving difficult.  Regardless of whether I try to do it via trigger or scheduled batch, the above-mentioned methods fail out in different ways that essentially amount to the same problem (trying to call a future method from a batch, or a callout from a trigger); I've reproduced the error messages here (these are stamped onto the agreement record and displayed when the record is viewed):
System.CalloutException: Callout from triggers are currently not supported
System.AsyncException: Future method cannot be called from a future
You have uncommitted work pending. Please commit or rollback before calling out
It seems the above methods are intended for use in a custom page, rather than in some scheduled, non-interactive use-case.  Is there any workaround for this, or support for sending out agreements at a scheduled time, rather than at the click of a button?  Thanks!

I'm not an Adoby guy, hence you may ignore my reply, but Adobe Dynamic Link is obviously not just one way ticket and in most cases works just fine.
You have already been explained by J-MS and tclark513 how to properly use it and which pitfalls may occur.
So as to apply an effect onto a whole sequence or a group of clips you need to either nest them in PrPro or pre-compose them in AE. Then just apply an effect (or several ones) onto that composition.
So, if you nest clips in PrPro, select your nested sequence in the timeline, right-click and choose 'Replace with After Effects Composition'. Done! Your dynamically linked AE composition is in the right place in your timeline and in your Project panel as well. If you can not treat it as an ordinary footage, there are obviously some mistakes in your workflow.
If you didn't nest your sequence or a group of clips in PrPro before replacing them with AE composition, you may easily do it within AE. Just select all the layers in AE composition and choose Layer -> Pre-compose... (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+C) Done! Switch back to your Master comp and apply your desired effect(s)
You may loose some effects or/and transitions while travelling from PrPro to AE via Adobe Dynamic Link, whereas you don't while travelling back
(If you start building your AE composition from scratch right in AE and then need to import it into PrPro, DO NOT export one as PrPro project out of AE, but rather choose Adobe Dynamic Link -> Import After Effects Composition... within PrPro)
P.S. And yes, submit a feature-request so that Adobe will convert 'Transparent Video' into fully functional 'Adjustment Layer'.

  • Do you have to pay for adobe send now?

I have used Adobe send in the past to send PDF's that are too large to attach. Do I have to pay for that now?  It doesn't seem to be working anymore.  I use the free version of Adobe.

    Hi cheryld57 ,
Thank you for posting on the forums, yes, you need to pay for Send now in order to use the service.
You can refer to Subscribe for Less Than $2.00 per Month | Adobe Send for more information on pricing.

  • Cannot convert to PDF and then send for sigs

I can convert documents to PDF, but they are being converted at 41.5%. When I send for signatures, they expand out to 100% and the signatures and initials stay at 41.5%, so signing and initially are impossible.

  • Adobe Interactive Form - Signature Software

    Hello dear fellow members,
we are currently using CIC sign it software Plugin in our Adobe documents for signature.
Currently we are upgrading the reader to Adobe X.
and there comes the problem. CIC sign IT plugin in not compatiable to this version of reader.
My question is, Are ther any other Signature tools/plugin, that will capture the signature from (tablet PC) and load as image in the signature field.
All possible answers and appreciated and alternate solutions are welcome.
Note: i tried TOPAZ SigPlus - but i think i have to change my interactive form code. (am reaserching.....still going)

A bit late, but SigPDF by Signature Perfect is supporting Acrobat X and Adobe Reader X, also the Protected Mode of ARX, supporting classic PDF documents and forms, but also Interactive Forms by Adobe (LiveCycle Forms). Selective Signing possible, recommended for Enterprises
Signature validation of SIGPDF signatures compatible down to A 8.1.2 and AR 8.1.2 for XFA (LiveCycle Forms) and down to A6 / AR6 for classic PDF docs / forms.
Supporting TOPAZ 1x5 LCD pads, Signotec SIGMA / OMEGA pads, "Penabled" Tablet PCs with WACOM technology (Win XP, VISTA, Win 7).
Actually already testing for A 11 / AR 11, because we are member of the Adobe Acrobat PreRelease program

  • How do I replace SendNow in Outlook with Adobe Send?

I wish to change the parameters from the older version of SendNow to Send within my Outlook account. How is this done?

You should remove the SendNow Outlook plugin and install Adobe Send for Outlook.
To remove the SendNow plugin, use the Add/Remove Programs feature in Control Panel.
To install Adobe Send for Outlook, download it here and follow the instructions: Send Large Files Online - Share, Control, Track & Manage | Adobe Send

  • Adobe Send Wants Me to Upgrade Before Allowing Personalized Message

Have used Adobe Send for many years. Most recently paid $200+ via auto-renewal in Oct 2014. Send Now has wiped out all my old Files and Messages and I am trying to start again with Adobe Send.
I have spent about an hour trying to get Adobe Send to work and continue sending Files and Messages. Rather frustrating that the interface and transition is so fickle, strange and frustrating. Is it possible to perhaps forego the dictated change from Send Now to Adobe Send until Adobe Send is tested out with a user group or two and made ready for prime time? As it is now, it appears to be in sort of an "alpha" state... with a bit more work it could perhaps be ready for beta testing with user groups... but it is NOT ready for operational deployment in its current state. My apologies for being so critical but I am really surprised that Adobe would deploy Adobe Send in its current rough state and in this manner.
The particular challenge that seems to be road blocking further progress is as follows: When I try to log on to Adobe Send it recognizes my un and pw but I cannot select the personalized option and Adobe Send is asking me if I want to upgrade to some sort of PDF making package. It then goes round and round from screen to screen without any indication of what is wrong or what it is doing. Even finding help/support was a struggle. Can anyone help with this?
    Thanks

No, not OK! There are big security holes in the last couple of versions. My favorite place to get the latest without the extra bullyware adobe tries to stick you with is Filehippo. Install both so IE is not vulnerable too.

How can I change the file download time using Adobe Send? Adobe SendNow had a lot more options.I don't see nay with Adobe Send.

There isn't a feature in Adobe Send for setting and end-date for a file's availability. At any time, you can Unshare the file, however.

    Hi JF BONNAM,
Please see Acrobat.com Help | Using Adobe Send for some great how-to information on using Adobe Send. In particular, the "Viewing a file's tracking information" section describes how you can tell who's viewed or downloaded your sent files.

  • Adobe Send 'Error' At The End Of Status Bar

After waiting a good 45 minutes uploading 3 video files about 200 MB each, when the status bar reaches the end, I get an error message saying that one or more of the files could not be sent. The message did not specify which file failed and the entire message was cancelled with no other explanation.
I sent the same files to myself also with no success.
I am using Adobe Send for the 2nd time today after being switched from 'SendNow'. Earlier it worked fine.
I tried to send only 2 of the files and got the same message. Then I tried just one file.
I normally send this same file format all the time with no problems. My regular email works fine
Is there something going wrong with Adobe's transition to SendNow? What are the supposed benefits of the switch? The old desktop application worked best for me.

    Hi again,
Would you mind testing your upload speed by going to testmy.net and running their tests?
I just uploaded a 150 MB file to cloud.acrobat.com in less than 1.5 minutes, and testmy.net reported that my upload speed is 7.9 Mbps (1 MB/s).
Yes, you should be able to do the upload/send operation in one action; I was asking you to separate them so that we could identify where the issue was.
