Adobe wont print or download word docs. It's taken over our SYSTEM!!!

What happened to Adobe? Where have you gone? First of all, where is a decent support link that doesn't take you everywhere to avoid direct support or to ask a question?????
I am a potential cusotmer for our organization. We have loaded the adobe 9 trial. Now, we cannot download ANY email attachments unless they are adobe. If we want to download a word doc, the adobe page pops up wanting to convert to adobe before doing anything. That's problem #1
Problem #2, word docs do not print. The same issue. COmes up wanting to convert to adobe, ok, like download, can live with that FOR NOW to get this done but when we convert to adobe, it will NOT print. Printing function goes away. We've tried saving the docs evereyway possible toprint but the vicious cycle starts all over everytime.
Oh poor adobe, where have you gone?
If you want this sale, you better provde the fix ASAP.

I'm not sure that Adobe itself even provides support for demo versions

Can't download word docs or PDF's from Google Docs

I cannot download word docs or pdf's from Google docs. I can download MP3's.
I get an error message saying IE can't find the website.
The google docs forum response to this problem was to uninstall the current version of Flash and install Flash 10.1 I'd like to try this suggestion but don't know how to implement the procudure or where to find Flash 10.1 and choose which version of it to install
What is the best way to do that?
I currently have Flash Player 10.3.181.14 installed
I use IE Ver 8.0.6001.1870
And Windows XP pro version 5.1.2600 SP 3 Build 2600

I cannot quite understand how Google Docs is related to Flash Player. But anyway, to revert to an earlier Flash Player version
downoad the FP uninstaller from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html and save it to disk;
download the archived FP 10.1 installers from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html and save it to disk;
close all browser instances, then run the downloaded uninstaller;
extract the latest 10.1 installer (ActiveX for IE, plugin for other browsers) and run it.
Don't hesitate to ask again if my instructions are not clear.

Printing a microsoft word doc using Java Print API

I have to print a microsoft word doc.I am using Java Print API, but the code is printing only Hashcodes instead of the actual document.

Go to the main Library folder and look for a folder called Application Support / Microsoft.
There are a few folders in there, and you may have to do some digging. In one of them (mine is called MAU2.0), there should be a file called Microsoft Autoupdate. Open it.
It looks like this:
check the button for manual updates.
That should let you open the apps without triggering an automatic update.

Adobe wont print after update 9

Can't print after updating to Adobe reader 9. Using a B&W multi "old girl" Lanier 5235 and I tried uninstalling Adobe and reinstalling without help. I can print a PDF file via Preview and I csan print word files via word etc. etc using the diff. cases in the printer, but Adobe just wont print after update. Any good ideas from you guys?

Quite sure its Snow Leopard that made it impossible for me to get to the diff. trays. And this link (http://support.apple.com/downloads/LanierPrinter_Drivers_for_Mac_OS_X_v106) is the only one that doesnt work . Furthermore I asked Lanier if they knew about it, but they didnt seem to have a clue... a bit funny I think... also frustrating though

Canon printer wont print PDF and Word files... sometimes.

I face a very special problem with my iMac and my Canon printer (Pixma MG5350): Since a few weeks, the printer wont print most PDF files correctly, the same with existing Word files. A blank or blurred sheet is coming out of the machine. But: When I create a brand new Word file and fill it with text, the printer prints it clean and neat. The same with the official Canon test prints – no troubles at all. I have also tried to sort out the problem with the help from Apple: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3147?viewlocale=de_DE, without success. Glad about every help!

My next suggestion would be to try an alternate driver to the Canon.
There is the Gutenprint v5.2.9 suite which is free and lists the MG5300 series as a supported model. You could download and install this driver suite and add the Gutenprint MG5300 driver and see if this gives you the same problem.

Print with Adobe PDF printer driver from Word: Stripes in images

I use Acrobat 8 Professional (Version 8.1.3) on Windows XP SP3 (german version). I'd like to create a PDF out of a Word document by printing with the "Adobe PDF" printer driver. I have a problem with an image containing large unicolored areas: In the PDF there are recognizeable stripes in the colors of the image. This is when viewing the PDF with Acrobat 8 Professiona, when importing a page containung such an image into Photoshop, and when printing such an image.
The image is an RGB TIF, but I tried it with a CMYK TIF as well as with an RGB BMP. The reault - when printed out of Word - is the same. If I print the same image to a PDF from InDesign, then everything is fine, no stripes.
Does anybody know how to optimize this?

Sorry, I should have mentioned this, of course. Well the document is a DOC (because it was prepared by co-workers with Word 2003). I use Word 2007, when I opened the DOC Word switched to "compatability mode" (not sure about the exact English term, I work with German versions). But even when saving the document under a new name, I kept it as a DOC, so my co-workers would be able to open it again at their computers with Word 2003.
My Acrobat is already version 8.1.6 and because I always install Windows Updates that the automatic update service offers, I guess my Word 2007 is also up to date.
But sure, if I can be of any other help, let me know...

Adobe Acrobat 8 - trouble converting Word Doc to PDF

I currently have Adobe Acrobat 8 and Microsoft Office 2007. Everytime I try to convert a word document or powerpoint to Adobe PDF, the application freezes or says not responding. How can I fix this?

At this point my best recommendation is to go to the help menu in Acrobat and do a repair (you can also do that from the add/remove programs menu in the control panel). After that, you may want to do updates to AA8, though I already mentioned the updates. I am assuming your XP is a 32-bit system.
You should be able to test Distiller by applying it to any PS file. Normally I suggest creating the PS file by simply printing to the Adobe PDF printer with "print-to-file" selected. The printer creates a PS file this way. However, you are indicating this step does not work as I understand it and that would suggest that Distiller is not the problem. If you were successful with the print to file and the problem was at the Distiller step, then that really suggests the need for a repair and possibly and update to fix the Distiller problem.

Download Word .doc file saved in MIME Repository to local PC

I need to store a static Word document on the SAP server and download to the user's browser via a BSP application. I have found code in the IT00 BSP Application to download the Word doc in xstring form to the browser, which will work for what I'm doing. What I cannot seem to find, however, is how to retrieve the Word .doc file stored in the MIME repository and then subsequently how to convert this MIME object to an xstring value. Is there a class or function module available to retrieve and convert the MIME object to an xstring form so that it can be returned as a response back to the browser?

no it doesn't.
To print a Word Doc you need to be able to read it, and display it.
Anything that can be displayed in, say a JPanel, can be printed, cos it's just a matter of displaying the
image to a virtual component ( a print canvas ). Which then gets printed.
So, because Java doesn't immediately support Ms Docs, neither does the print service.

I recently upgraded to Lion and my 2004 Microsoft Office no longer functions. So all of my word docs are unreadable with the Lion system. If I buy pages, will they be converted? Also, I used Microsoft Word for editing docs, making comments and tracking

I need help. All of my word docs from Microsoft word 2004 cannot be read in Lion. I can't believe I'll have to pay for a Word upgrade. Is it worth it? Is pages as good? Will all of my docs be recognized once I upgrade to the current word or Pages? I tried Open Office, but that doesn't synch all of the previous Word docs, it needs to be done one doc at a time.

In ALV- Coulmns are jumbling in print preview and word doc.(irregular)

In ALV, i am getting the output with proper column allignment. But when i click on print preview in the output, columns are jumbling (irregular pattern- not in proper allignment) and also i am pulling the output data in spool throgh PDF format, there also columns are coming irregular( jumbling).
I want to get the output data into word forma with proper column allignment.
Please suggest me to solve this issue.

The simplest, and the equivalent to the excel method, is to download as straight text. Otherwise, you need something that can generate Word documents running on the application server.
I did encounter a problem during a project transferring a BPICS system to SAP. The BPICS system had an OLE plug in, and a document repository that allowed it to generate word documents in background, and do a mail-merge type operation. We could only duplicate this in SAP be using foreground processing.
