"Ads by StartNow" is playing their audio over the top of my YouTube videos & I can't get it to stop!
Pop-up ads' sound tracks are playing on top of my video's soundtracks when I play anything on YouTube. I've tried changing Adobe settings and now I Click "deny" on my Adobe Flashplayer Settings window, but it does absolutely no good. The advertiser "Ads by StartNow" still continues to play the sound of their advertisement (loudly) on top of my video soundtrack. [I run a PC with XP(s.p.3)] Help!
You're infected with "Adware". Flash isn't the cause, it's the vehicle being used to deliver the ads.
You need to do a throrough malware scan.

ok so last night i finally decided to do the upgrade on my phone... well i guess BIG mistake.... now my phone is tripping.... my apps arent working right.... had to delete fb several times..... my photos wouldnt load back up....and my ipod music wouldnt upload for @ least 2 hours.... really krazy... well im frustrated cause i really wanted to listen to my music and when i was trying to do so my sound kept going in and out..... all by its self.... how in the world can i fix this problem?????? My ipod gen 5 does not respoind to touch. It plays all by itself and seems to have the snooze set. It seems to work okay but It won't respond when I touch it. can anyone help?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I have similar problem, my apple tv which has always worked properly with my Samsung tv will no longer play any audio after the latest 5.1 upgrade. Very frustrating as it was working perfectly before. I am starting to not trust apple upgrades until proven for example ios6 on iPhone with that stupid map app instead of google maps.
I just want to buy and hear my iTunes music and videos on my apple tv, could before cant now. Thank you apple. Time to pack up the apple tv and start torrenting without the ios-bs.

Try going to synching in the sources menu on your tv and selecting 'change itunes library', when it gives you the passcode check itunes to see if the tv is showing up as a new device, if so try entering the pass code. It may be that your tv is seeing itunes as a different library because of a recent upgrade. -
I'm trying to multi-track using an m-audio device, I can record my guitar fine. However, I want to create a new track so I can record an acoustic tambourine over the top. Instead it records the original guitar as well as the tambourine coming out with a really distorted sound. I've managed to record over the top of a guitar before and add diferent riffs and sounds but I've tried all of the settings but its still not working. Basically I want to record different tracks without it recording my previous guitar riffs as well. Help would really be appreciated.

You have two basic options. One is to use a commercial screen recording app with access to system audio built into the app and the other is to add a system extension like SoundFlower that allows the QT X screen recorder to access/record the system audio. I use the former so I am not that familiar with SoundFlower but there should be several posts to this forum covering this topic. -
Is it possible to use the drawing dynamic content to erase an image rather than draw over the top?
I'm trying to create a cover for my magazine that has a chalk board with writing on. I want the user to be able to erase the writing with their finger but can't figure out how to do it. All i can do is draw a solid colour over the top. What i want is for the finger swipe to erase the .png image instead. wondered if it can be done using a mask but I can only get a mask to reveal solid colour not an image.
If the images are exactly the same size then make sure the layer with the mask
is the active layer and in the other documents go to Select>Load Selection and choose
your document with the layer mask under Source document and under channel choose the layer mask.
After the selection loads press the layer mask icon at the bottom of the layers panel.

My mac desktop will not provide sound from internal speakers. When I go to audio devices window it only shows airplay. How can I get internal speakers back.
There are many possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Some may not apply to your model. Back up all data before making any changes.
1. Start with the steps recommended in this support article. Don't skip any of the steps. It's the starting point for further efforts to solve the problem.
2. Run Software Update and make sure you have a fully up-to-date installation of OS X.
3. If you've installed an application called "Memory Clean" or any other third-party software that is supposed to "clean" or "purge" memory automatically, remove it according to the developer's instructions and restart. You should do that even if the software is not causing the problem, because it's useless.
4. Other third-party software that has been reported to interfere with sound output includes "Boom" and "Samsung Kies." If applicable, uninstall according to the developer's instructions (not by dragging something to the Trash.)
5. If an AirPlay device is selected for sound output from iTunes (or from other applications via third-party software such as "Airfoil"), deselect it.
6. Launch the application "Audio MIDI Setup" by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search and selecting it in the results (it should be at the top.) Select Built-in Output from the list on the left. If the Mute boxes are checked, uncheck them.
7. If a red light is visible in the audio-out port when sound should be playing, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
If there's no red light, the switch may still be stuck in the headphone position. Try to free it the same way.
8. Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard and mouse, if applicable. If more than one display is connected, disconnect all extra ones. Restart and test.
9. If you have a MacBook Air, turn off Bluetooth and restart.
10. Start up in safe mode. Don't log in; just restart as usual when the login screen appears. When you do, make sure the words "Safe Boot" do not appear in the login screen. If they do, the system is still in safe mode and sound won't work.
11. Reset the NVRAM.
12. Reset the SMC.
13. Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/Preferences/Audio
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Recreate your settings in the Sound preference pane.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
14. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data.

I need some help taking my site over the top.
Ok, i built the site for a small business and i believe it looks better than most sites in the industry. How do i get it noticed in searches and take it over the top and make it look like it was done by a professional. How do i increase the search hits. Has a cottage industry spawned with people who do this in IWEB. i want to maintain control of the site.

Trying to place one item over the top of another
I am using DW CS3 and I am trying to create a banner (of pictures) and over the top of that I want text-only logo to appear above and drop down to overlap the top of the pictures. I'm sure there is some easy way to do this, but everything I try doesn't work. I can get the text behind the pictures but not in front of them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have The Nook Cafe as a logo image .gif that I want to place over a banner of pictures I have that are individual pictures placed within a container, this is what I am thinking:

I made a project with multiple tracks and had it all panned and mixed. Now it's only playing in the right speaker. Not even regestering a left side in the master volume? What happened, how can I get both sides back?

For video, the codec is MPEG-4 Video (XVID) and for audio it says MPEG Audio Layer 1/2/3 (mpga).
There are two issues with that file:
The first is the Xvid CODEC (not meant for editing), and then the MPEG Audio/MPGA. I would convert that file, to something that is more editable.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
