Advanced Table Duplicate Rows

I have an advancedTable (master-detail). In one instance the "advancedTable" object suppresses duplicate master records, but in another instance, duplicate rows are not suppressed. If I run the VO query associated with the advancedTable object, the query returns duplicate rows in both instances. Has anyone seen this before? I have also run the pages from JDev connecting to each instance and the same result is exhibited.

Both instances are not identical. The stage environment is RAC vs. dev which is not RAC.
Steps to reproduce:
Create an advancedTable in an advancedTable in JDev using a viewLink to establish the master-detail relationship. Run the page either from JDev connecting to each dev and stage environment directly. In addition to running local, I have also migrated all source to both the dev and stage instance. Run the page - in the dev instance, the results table displays only a subset of the rows (duplicate rows are removed - ie instead of 12 rows which is what the query returns both from executing the select statement in SQLPlus and by SOP vo.getRowCount() only 6 rows are displayed in the master table). However, when the same page is executed using the stage environment, all applicable rows are displayed - duplicates are not removed. This happens both from running the page locally and from logging into each respective application server.

I have another doubt also. In Advanced table there is coloumn header, is there any Row header.There is nothing as such RowHeader. Let me know ur exact requirement.

Issues with Advance Table Add Row New Row not work in some scenarios.

Hi,
Wondering if there's any issue with Advanced Tables where it does not create any rows. I don't know if anyone tried this or not. I have one OA Page with Advanced Table and a button that when clicked open a new OA Page in a POP-UP Window. The pop-up page conatins one textbox where u enter a data and this gets saved in one of the VO's transient attribute. Now on the ase page if you don't click a button to open a pop-up page you can Add New Rows in the Advanced Table by clicking Add Row Button. But as soon as you open a popup window and close it Add New Rows button doesn't work and is not creating any new rows. Basically page stops working. Both the POP-UP and the base page share the same AM but have different controllers.
POP-UP page is a custom page that I open giving the Destination URI value in the button item and target frame _blank.
I even tried creating rows programmatically for Advance Table but this too doesn't work once u open a pop-up. Also I have used pageContext.putTransactionValue in the pop-up page and am checking and removing this in the base page.
Any help is appreciated.

On Dreameaver CS3 are you able to select rows and copy and
drag them to create new rows with the data and images duplicated in
the new rows.
I'm transferring from GoLive to Dreamweaver and in working
with tables you were able to select rows and holding down shift
option were able to drag and copy the rows to form new rows, it was
a timesaver on certain pages and I would just change the copy on
the items after it was duplicated. Not sure if this is possible in
the new Dreamweaver

Want each row reference in advance table

Hi all ,
To validate specific row in Advance table ,
I mush have a reference to that row
so, can anybody tell how i will get the row reference ?
I tried a lot but could not find anything.
Actual issue :
whenever user changes any one of the field value in advance table's row.
i need to check some other field values in same row.

Suresh,
You need to handle this at the VO Row Level. The easier way to do this would be to have your code in the VORowImpl's setter methods (or) the validate entity methods.
- In the set<AttributeName> method, you can check for other values of the same row by using thier get<AttributeName>. You should not that the setters are not called in any particular order, so if both the attributes are being modified at the same time, you can expect one to not have the latest value reflected.
- In the validateEntity method, you can get the handle of all the view attribute values and do cross entity validations.

How to get the values of all rows in advanced table

HI All,
I am using an advanced table to enter the values for the service contract line (its a custom page)in that advanced table i ahave column with lov called task number for that task number once i had choosed one task number and creating one more row using add anethor row button i want to restrict the user to not to choose the task number which was entered in the previus row.
Or if this is not possible i want to restrict the user by showing an error message when click on the submit button by saying you have choosed the duplicate task number please choose a uniqu task number
please give some hints

your approach will have two steps
1.) use the row refernce and get the value of task number of the row which is enterd by user .
2.) use getRows in range and compare values of task number of every row with the user selected value ,if value match then throw error.

In order to update it, just create and use an Oracle sequence, have it start and increment at a value that doesn't exist in your table.
If that doesn't get you going, post some CREATE TABLE + INSERT INTO statements, and the results you want from them, in other words: a complete testcase.

I have a master table and i need to import the rows into the parent and child table.
Master table name is Flatfile_Inventory
Parent Table name is INVENTORY

its tells that all the 4 rows are duplicate and will move to the Log_Inventory_Error.

How to get handle to a MST bean for a particular row in an advanced table

Hi
Requirement:
My advanced table has 2 columns, the 1st one has a LOV and the 2nd one is a switcher which toggles from LOV to MST depending on the value in the 1st column.
Implementation Steps:
1) Trap LOV event in 1st column and pass row index to the AM
2) Get the VO row from the row index (EVENT_SOURCE_ROW_REFERENCE), set the switcher attribute to MST/LOV depending on Business Logic
3) Get the view attribute value of the 2nd column (to which LOV/MST is mapped).
My LOV/MST gets rendered correctly on the page. However, when the LOV renders in the 2nd column, the view attribute is correctly populated in the LOV. But the MST renders with no value.
I understand that the MST loses value on form submission and that this value needs to be set in the PR of the CO. For that how do I get a handle to the MST bean of the particular row?
This is urgent!!

I am handling the master detail relationship. For this i have used advanced table in an advanced table. I am facing a problem while creating a new row in the inner advanced table.
I have a Display Sequence column in the inner advanced table. I want to handle the logic for displaying the value of this attribute. As per dev guide i have attached the view link and for handling the Add New row event i am using the below code

When i try to fetch the Line No which is the primary ID of the Parent VO, it always returns me the LineNO of the first Row and not of the parent row for which i have clicked the Add new Subline button of the Child record

How to get current row from advanced table

Hi,
I have the following code to pick the value of columnA from one of the columns of an advanced table:

}It's picking up the first value of ColumnA of the first record correctly, however when I add a new row, it's not picking up the value of columnA anymore.
What am I doing wrong?

How to get current row of Advanced table with no submit

I have an advanced table with an 'Add another button'. When an empty row is created by clicking this button, LOV is used on the first column to populate other fields of the row. The rows of the table carry a button called "Add dependencies" whose functionality is to take the user to a different table to add rows to a different VO. This button is just a button and not a submitButton. I am passing the row's primary key as part of the URI as Vo attribute FdTaskId={@FdTaskId}
The button works perfectly fine for database fetched rows (rows already present in the database), but, for the rows created using 'Add Another button', though LOV populates all fields including the primary key, the URI parameter passes null to the next page. That means, the VO attribute is not set. This works fine only when a 'submit' happens in the first page. For example, if I click Add another row again, then the previously inserted row passes the primary key fine as part of {@FdTaskId}.
Could you please help me how I can resolve this issue?

I am doing exactly that. My issues is that, VO attribute is passed correct for the table rows which are fetched from the database. For the table rows which got created through 'Add Another button', the VO attribute passed through URI as {@FdTaskId} is returning null. The VO attribute sets only when a form submit happens. For example, after adding a row through 'Add another row' button, click the same button again to add one more row and now go back to previously added row and now you can see that its VO attribute is set ({@FdTaskId} carries value )

How to get duplicate rows in a large table

I have a table which consists of 26 columns and 2 milion records..while doing validation i suspect there are duplicate records in that table...
Is there any way to check duplicate rows in a table?

I went through link..in all the messages query is for 2 or 3 columns...but my scenario is i have 26 columns ...and i suspect there is duplicate row inserting .for which value is same for all 26 columns .how should i do .?
do i need to do group by all 26 columns and do having count(*) ...26 times?

How to get selected row of an advanced table

Hi All,
I have created an advanced table with 5 rows and i can also add rows in that. Here my requirement is i want to get the data of a row which i have selected. There are 5 rows. i have entered data into all 5 rows. Suppose i have selected 3rd row i have to get that 3rd row. if i have selected 5th row i have to get 5th row.
Can you please guide me to achieve this requirement..

How to change VO's dynamically for a item for each row in advanced table?

Hi All,
We had a requirement to filter the employees based on the search criteria table. I am using advanced table for developing search criteria.
In that table I am having three columns. Operator (messagechoice), Criteria Type (messagechoice), and Criteria value (messageLovInput). Also 'Add Another Row' functionality is available.
My requirement is:
First Row:(Initial Row)
When the user selects a value in Criteria Type, only the values that are relevant to that type should be displayed in the Criteria Value.
Second Row: (when the user selects Add Another Row button)
When the user selects a value in Criteria Type, only the values that are relevant to that type should be displayed in the Criteria Value.
The problem I am facing here is, the Criteria Value column is pointing to only one VO at design time. But wee need to change that VO dynamically without disturbing other rows depending on the Criteria Type value.
Is it possible to do so?
Note: User can add n number of conditions as he want.
Can anyone help how to acheive this.
