Af:exportCollectionActionListener - prompting pop-up blocker in IE browser

Hi All,
I have an af:exportCollectionActionListener in a commandlink in my page.
<af:commandLink styleClass="NewStyleLink"
shortDesc="Export to Excel" id="cl2"
text="Export">
<af:exportCollectionActionListener exportedId="t1"
type="excelHTML"
filename="PurchaseOrders.xls"
title="Purchase Orders"/>
</af:commandLink>
This works fine in firefox and chrome browsers. But in IE browser when i click on the commandlink it shows a pop-up blocker. Even if i choose download file in the blocker it does nothing. After closing the blocker or choosing download file option, if i try again clicking on the Export link it works. Is it possible to overcome this problem ?

Hi,
Even though the popup blocker is already in off it behaves in the same way. I also tried adding my url in "Allowed Sites" under popup blocker settings. That also dint work.
Actually when i test the application in local machine i am able to download the file atleast when i try for the second time. But when the application is accessed from a different client machine ,I could not download the file at all.

  • How to stop full page pop ups that bypass pop up blocking

I am getting pop ups that cover 3/4 of my screen These pop ups can be for gaming sites or advertising tool boxes. all and anything can be popping up.It usually happens with my local newspaper in Australia but the sites are overseas. If I go to a gaming site like Slingo which is in the USA I realise I have to allow the pop ups as they help pay for the free games.Their pop up do not interfere with what you are doing whereas the ones I am getting most certainly do.My pop up blocker is turned on but these are getting past it somehow. It was so bad I had to resort to IE and I loathe IE.

    Hi,
In System Preferences>Network, highlight or Show Internal Modem>PPP tab>PPP Options button... Prompt every xx minutes.

If you're suddenly seeing unaccustomed ad activity, you may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
    or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
    if it's not already checked.

Every time I click on a web page an advertisement or MAC Keeper page opens up.  I have pop-up blocker on. How do I make this stop?

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
    Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.vsearch.agent.plist" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:
    /Library/Application Support/VSearch
    /System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ConduitNPAPIPlugin.plugin
Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
The problem may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • How turn off IE Pop up blocker on local testing

Is there a way to turn off IE Pop up blocker on local
testing? I tried to turn it off and allow the URL but since it
reside on my local machine it won't let me. Its really annoying
having to click and allow each time I test my page in the browser.
I set all the active X to enable and still won't fix it.

    >I set all the active X to enable and still won't fix it
I think that's all there is to it (assuming you're in IE6).
    Did you do the
    following:
Tools > Options > Advanced (tab) > Scroll down to
    Security > Check to Allow
active content to run in files on My Computer.
If so, I apologise but I thought just in case...

  • I am no longer able to open or download most PDFs from web pages. I have the pop-up blocker turned off in Preferences.

In recent months I have found that I am unable to download or open PDF documents from web pages. Download links either open a blank page in a new tab or do nothing. PDFs that I am unable to view in Firefox can be viewed and/or downloaded in Safari most of the time and Chrome all of the time so I assume the problem is not my computer or operating system. I recently turned off the pop-up blocker but that did not make a difference. The problem has worsened over the past couple months, it appears that more and more web sites are moving to a different protocol for viewing/downloading PDFs. It used to happen occasionally but now I find that I am unable to view a majority - about 75% - of PDFs. I am using Firefox v18 for Mac with Mac OS X 10.6.8.

hello ahegarty, you could try using the [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/pdfjs/ PDF Viewer] addon, for more details also see [[PDF files are blank and can't be downloaded on Mac]].

  • I seem to have multiple problems related or unrelated.  I cannot use Apple Mail for blueyonder and mostly for gmail as both show that the server is off line.  My pop up blocker doesn't work and I am blitzed with pop up windows on nearly every command

Firstly I am unable to use Apple mail except for hotmail, for blueyonder, gmail or Sky as the server shows as (off line) and I have no idea how to get them on line even though I tell them to go there.
My pop up blocker doesn't work and I am blitzed with advertising windows virtually on ever command I make, one seems to be impossible to unsubscribe from.
When I am in an email with a web link the web link doesn't work and I get a window saying that I must have a pop up blocker, but if I switch it off it is no different, what does work is switching the "enable Java script off", then when I get to the web site I can't use it until I switch the java script back on.
I can't do a screen shot either full or partial, when I try it changes the web site that is on screen to another.
So what have I done that might have caused problems, downloading Yosemite seemed to be the start of the problems.  Since then I have started to install Mackeeper, after checking with a family members who should know, that MacPaw is safe.  I decided that I didn't want to pay the subscription, so went through the uninstall instructions but it comes up as a pop up with considerable regularity.
My stress levels have gone through the roof with pop ups happening so regularly and not being able to use Apple mail.o can anyone help please?

hello, such problems are usually caused by adware on your pc. please go to ''firefox > addons > extensions'' & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and do a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner].

  • Why does Firefox always block any link I try to open going to a web page when I don't have pop up blocker on?

Why does Firefox always block any link I try to open going to a web page when I don't have pop up blocker on? First off they are not even pop ups....your crap blocks everything and don't save user names &/or passwords when you have it checked. Also in your tutorials about solving this issue says it has the word "OPTION" .......no, it never says option to allow you to bypass it and etc. Only thing is says is "ALLOW" . That would be nice , but the problem is it will not allow it from then on. It only allows it right then and then you have to refresh...after that to open again it blocks it again.....HOW STUPID?!!!!!
It always say that this is preventing this page from automatically redirecting to another page. THIS IS WHAT I AM TRYING TO DO...GO TO ANOTHER PAGE........I DON'T NEED YOUr BROWSERS PERMISSION TO DO THAT. THAT IS WHAT A *%#$&*(&*%$$%% BROWSER IS FOR TO GO TO OTHER PAGES......THEY ARE NOT POP UPS!!!!!
YOU STUPID BROWSER ACTUALLY BLOCKS EVERYTHING AND THAT SUX!!!
    HELP!!

Are you using "Clear history when Firefox closes"?
In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
    *do not clear the Cookies
*do not clear the Site Preferences
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Clear+Recent+History
Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception that you want to keep.
Let all cookies expire when you close Firefox.
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Keep until: I close Firefox
You can choose to keep third-party cookies from visited sites if necessary.
Create a cookie 'allow' exception for cookies that you want to keep.
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions

  • Cannot open deeplinks from trusted websites eventhough pop-up blocker is off

For some reason I can no longer open deeplinks on trusted websites (usually when I click on the links a new window opens, but this is not working). I've tried turning the pop-up blocker off, to no avail. Reinstalling firefox didn't help either. Funny thing is that when I then want to close firefox, it does ask me if I want to close all tabs.

Look at my other reply and follow my lead.  This process worked flawlessly for me.  I got an old version
to install, authorized my device, synced my ipod, no problem.  AS A BONUS, iTunes realized it was out of date
and installed the latest and greatest on its own with no glitches.  If you need more help reply to one of my messages, and I will do the best I can for you.
One request, if you get it up and running come back with any final advice, and make that this solved your problem, so others can use our experience.

  • How do I remove firefox pop up blocker for a particular website? My phone is an android

I cannot log in to cc.dealer.com because of pop up blocker. Site requests to allow pop up but I dont know how to do this on my android cell

  • I am unable to save plug-in gadgets in Blogger because I get a Javascript:void(0) message on pop-up window. Pop-up blocker is disabled, cache cleared. Help?

I am trying to add a plug-in gadget to my blogger blog. They use a pop-up window to configure the gadget and then a save button. When I am ready to save the plug-in I see a tiny message in the lower left of the pop-up window which says " Javascript:void(0)". I click "save" but the operation is not fully completed. Here is the strange part. The plug in does appear on my blog but I cannot edit it from the blog. When it was first installed, I could edit the plug-in but the changes would not be saved. Now I cannot edit as no editing buttons appear.
I have cleared my cache, have exempted the Blogger site from my pop-up blocker. I have rebooted. My Firefox plug-ins are all up to date. I have contacted the support for the company that makes the plug-in, they can't fix it. I tried to contact Google but that help pop-up box also did not work properly as it only allows me to sign in but then nothing more happens.
I don't want to have to refresh Firefox unless I have to... rebuilding what I have is going to take a lot of time.

  • How do I add a site I want to block to the pop-up blocker?

After I looked something up at Merriam-Webster Dictionayr's online site, I started getting a pop-up for something called Degrees.info, with a URL of
    http://cdn.optmd.com/V2/73950/157983/index.html?g=Af////8=&r=www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/eponymous+
I know how to add exceptions to my pop-up blocker, but not how to add a site I want to block. How do I block the above company's pop-up?

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
Firefox keeps JSON backups of the bookmarks in the bookmarkbackups folder, one each day that Firefox has been started up to a maximum of 10.
*Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Restore > Choose File
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Backing_up_and_restoring_bookmarks_-_Firefox
Restoring a JSON backup will replace all existing bookmarks, so you lose bookmarks that were created at a time after this backup has been created.
Note that the xx part in the file name of the JSON backup (bookmarks-####-##-##_xx.json) shows the number of bookmarks stored in the backup.
