Af:table new row not editable

Hi, I am trying to insert and edit a new row in table. I have followed the below steps.
1. Dropped a vo as a table (not read-only)
2. surrounded it with a panel collection and in toolbar facet created a toolbar and under which I have dropped createInsert method of
vo as commandToolbarButton.
3. set table's editingMode property to clickToEdit and partialTriggers property to commandToolbarButton's id.
I deployed the application into integrated wls, I clicked on the create button to insert a new row and provided values in all fields then I clicked on some other existing row, now when I clicked on the new row, which was just created, none of the fields/columns are editable.
Have I missed anything here? Can you tell me how to fix this?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for your answer.
Your solution is not working but if i put the styleclass instruction in the outputText element, it is working...
Is there any other solution ???... because in this solution, we are obliged to put this EL in each outputText element of the tab.
<af:column sortable="true" headerText="Cat" formatType="text"
sortProperty="cat">
<af:outputText value="#{log.cat}" styleClass="#{(log.prio == 'DEBUG') ? 'bgDebug' : (log.prio == 'WARN' ? 'bgWarn' : '')}"/> </af:column>

  • Table Creation of new rows in editable mode

    Hello,
    I'm using Jdev11g.
    I create a JSF page with a table, I add a button connected to CreateInsert bindings.
    Everything works fine but I want that when a new row is created on the table, the new row must be in editable mode.
    Thank's

    Hi Max:
    According to what you described, it's really wierd. An ADF table is Surrounded by a panelCollection or not doesn't matter in terms of CreateInsert operations, I think. Also each step you said OK doesn't mean that step is 100% problem free towards your final goal. For example, when you drag and drop and ADF table onto a JSF page, you forget to turn on 'row selection', it will be OK, you won't get any error message, but later on when you find that you need to turn it back on, you have to go back to JSF page source, to manually added codes to do so.
    The simpliest solution and quickest one is to reinitiate a clean ADF project and do it all over again. It's simple straightforward in my view. Probably don't use PanelCollection first, just drop your ADF table on a form, or af:panelForm, but make sure your table and 'CreateInsert' button is surrounded by a form, otherwise, when you click on 'CreateInsert', nothing will happen. When everything works, then probably back it up and replace your form or af:panelForm with panelCollection. See how it goes.
    Thanks,

  • Issues with Advance Table Add Row New Row not work in some scenarios.

    Hi,
    Wondering if there's any issue with Advanced Tables where it does not create any rows. I don't know if anyone tried this or not. I have one OA Page with Advanced Table and a button that when clicked open a new OA Page in a POP-UP Window. The pop-up page conatins one textbox where u enter a data and this gets saved in one of the VO's transient attribute. Now on the ase page if you don't click a button to open a pop-up page you can Add New Rows in the Advanced Table by clicking Add Row Button. But as soon as you open a popup window and close it Add New Rows button doesn't work and is not creating any new rows. Basically page stops working. Both the POP-UP and the base page share the same AM but have different controllers.
    POP-UP page is a custom page that I open giving the Destination URI value in the button item and target frame _blank.
    I even tried creating rows programmatically for Advance Table but this too doesn't work once u open a pop-up. Also I have used pageContext.putTransactionValue in the pop-up page and am checking and removing this in the base page.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • Some problems with af:table (new rows with presetting and autosubmit)

    Hi, I'm working with an af:table, but I'm having some troubles.
    Background:
    Jdev 11.1.1.5.0
    Firefox 6.0.2
    In the Bounded Task flow:
    ExecuteWithParams -> fragment < commit/rollback
    ExecuteWithParams: Set a bind variable with a value from bpm payload for get only rows with that value.
    In the fragment:
    An af:table with a button CreateInsert (the new rows need to use the value of the payload in the hidden column, i don't know how do this, assign the value to the #{row.bindings.IdDistribution.inputValue}) [First problem]
    The inputText of the af:table has the autoSubmit in true. The first time that I fill the cells I got this error in each entered value, after press the tab key.
    ADF-FACES- 60097... ADF_FACES-60096:Server Exception during PPR, #n (where n is 1,2,3,4 for each cell). [Second problem]
    When I press the Commit Button, all values from cells dissapears. And I got the message from validator that cells can't be null. [Third problem]
    If I fill cells again, all work right. Validations, no errors ADF_FACES-60096 and a successful commit.
    How I can solve these problems?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    you need to bind the value property of the selectOneRadio to the row variable. Say the button updates an attribute "q1" then the value property should point to #{row.bindings.q1.inputValue} assuming you use ADF and ADF BC. The question svary I assume., so you need to query thequestion for each row. For this reference a managed bean doe the f:selectItems and in the managed bean use the #{row} attribute to get a hold of the current rendered row (instance of JUCtrlHierNodeBinding if ADF is used. This has a method getRow() to obtain the Row object). The list then returns the answers to select from

  • Invalid characteristic combniation in WAD new row not re-read

    We have a really annoying problem entering new rows in an IP WAD.
    If an incorrect Characteristic Value (Gl account for example) is entered in a new row, then the system provides a nice message, and the cell with the characteristic is highlighted - perfect.  The user can change the value and then check again.
    However if the user types in a Characteristic Value which exists, but is not in the filter for the query, then the system again provides an error message, but instead of highlighting the Characteristic Value the system highlights the Key Figure cell.
    If the user changes the Characteristic Value to a valid value and checks the data again, the new valueis not checked.  The user has to change the key figure amount to trigger the system to check the updated Characteristic Value.
    This behaviour is the same for checking characteristic combinations.
    Executing the same query in a BEx Analyser workbook does not have this problem, but we prefer a web input.
    Has anyone noticed this problem, and found a solution or workaround?
    Michael

    Hello Michael,
    I agree with you. The check should highlight the incorrect cell, not the key figure. Please open a customer message with a reproducible example so SAP support can analyze the issue.

  • 1.5 Edit Table Partitions - Can not edit Values Less than Field

    When editing (or more importantly to me) creating new partitions through the GUI. This slao was an issue w/1.2.1 that I recently discovered, I was hoping that it would have gotten fixed in 1.5

    Just to confirm this is only a problem when editing a table? It seems fine when creating a table from scratch.
    The field is disabled when editing an existing partition because there isn't (as far as I can tell) an ALTER TABLE clause for changing the less than value of a range partition.
    It's a bug that when you create a new partition, while editing a table, the field is still disabled. I'll log it now.

  • Forecast KF row not editable

    The Forecast KF row in planning Book is not editable. How to make it editable? Is this something controlled by user authorization?
    Thanks

    Hi there,
    You can do this by adding one default macro for ATTRIBUTES of the Forecast Keyfigure. function CELL_INPUT (1)
    0 is display , 1 is editable. Check details on the link provided below.

  • Is there a way to make the current row not editable

    Hi, I'm using JDev 11.1.1.2
    In my usecase I have a Form , navigateable with next/previous , and for every row a I have a calculation which makes the row editable or not.
    For now I made it with disabled property on every input component set to some bean property which is calculated every time.
    My question is if there is some general way to make an Entity not updateable ?
    I tried with doDML() ... but the problem there is that this method is not called when switching the current row but rather when commiting. So the user can modified several rows and when pressing commit it will prevent some of the to be committed which would be confusing.
    Is there a method in the ViewObject that i can overwrite which is called every time the current row is changed? So I can see if the row was modified or not.
    Thanks, agruev

    Yes, there is always isAttributeUpdateable() in the ViewRowImpl, which you can override and enable/disable your attributes based on an enabling/disabling condition.
    Here is an example:
    public boolean isAttributeUpdateable(int i) {
    boolean updateable = false; /disable by default all arguments
    // enable, if your condition is met
    if ( meets_your_condition )
    updateable = super.isAttributeUpdateable(i); // let the framework decide based on your declarative settings
    return updateable; // return true/false indicator

  • ADF Issue with Tree Table , Child Row not getting rendered.

    Hi All,
    I am trying to show a single Level Master-Detail Table via ADF Tree Table.
    I have MasterVO : InventoryVO (1 SubInventoryCode)
    DetailVO: SubInventoryVO (n :SubInventoryCode)
    Both VOs are SQL query based VO with bindVariables.
    I have a viewLink between MasterVO and ChildVO (1:n relationship)
    I dragged and drop the MasterVO as a tree Table. I added the Rule in the Tree Binding too.
    I have the Tree table under a Tab , I execute the AM impl method when the Tab is clicked where I set the bindvariables of the MasterVO and ChildVO and execute it.
    when I run the Page , the VO query gets executed but the I am able to see only the MasterVO Datas, and when I click MasterVO ROW , the Table doesnt expand and it doesnt render any ChildVO ROws.

                            </af:treeTable>

    I was able to find the issue which is causing the problem, both the VOs are SQL Query Based VOs.
    The ChildVO (SubInventoryVO) is has a bindvariable in its Query, which is losing its value when the viewlink accessor query gets appended to it.
    Please find the query below
    SELECT * FROM (SELECT MOTV.ORGANIZATION_CODE, MOTV.SUBINVENTORY_CODE
    FROM MTL_ONHAND_TOTAL_V MOTV
    WHERE INVENTORY_ITEM_ID = :P_INVENTORY_ITEM_ID) QRSLT  WHERE ORGANIZATION_CODE = :Bind_OrganizationCode Though I am setting the VO query before the Table is rendered, ":P_INVENTORY_ITEM_ID".
    Its Losing its value, when the above whereclause "ORGANIZATION_CODE = :Bind_OrganizationCode " gets appended to it.
    I am thinking to use ExecuteWithParams Operation on SelectionListener method of the Tree Table to set the ":P_INVENTORY_ITEM_ID" bind variable, but I also want the viewLinkAccessor rule also to be applied ..
    Please suggest me how to retain the implicit bindVariable of the Query.

  • Inserting new row in Table in 11.1.2 from 11.1.1.3 not rendering table!!!!!

    Hey Guys, my status might say noob but i am well seasoned in ADF. We migrated from 11.1.1.3 to the new JDEV 11.1.2. We are doing a test run before we commit to it.
    I noticed the following:
    We have master detail forms that work flawlessly in 11.1.1.3 when we ran the app under 11.1.2 we noticed that any time you try to add a new row to a table the table does not render. The server logs show the action going through and the count goes up one but the table is not rendered anymore it disappears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Now all of this was imported from the 11.1.1.3. all of our tables that have createInsert actions on them are doing this.
    If i drag the tables again and set them up from scratch it seems to work fine. Our issue is we have a good 300 of these tables in different panels and panel collections. we have to do all of that work all over again.
    No errors show in the log. IS THIS A BUG???????????????
    UPDATE: REFRESHING THE PAGE using the Browser Refresh Button Will show the new ROW....... THIS IS NOT GOOOD!!!

    Thanks for the reply.
    The Project was in version 11.1.3 before I migrated. I had the issue above so I migrated to 11.1.1.4 then to 11.1.1.5 then to the New GREAT 11.1.2 to go by the matrix of support The issue is still there.
    Basic Page layout:
    SEARCH-MASTER-PANELTABBED LAYOUT (Hold all the CHILDREN RECORDS)
    PANEL TAB is made of ; SHOW DETAIL ITEM- PANEL COLLECTION- TABLE.
    the panel collection has a toolbar with 2 buttons in it.
    My issue varies:
    Hit create insert==> record count goes up one but the table does not render (it goes all blank even if records existed in it)
    Hit undo budo ==>table still not rendering. (click next on master record then click previous to come back, the table renders correctly.)
    other tables do the following:
    Hit Create insert == > table shows normally and I can enter new record.
    Hit undo ==> table count goes down but table does not render at all anymore.
    for this issue i noticed if i set cache results to false the table works after hitting undo
    IF I CREATE A NEW SHOW DETAIL ITEM and put exactly what the other tabs have in them and use the same layouts and buttons the new table works great!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????? WTF?!?!?!?!
    NO ERROR MESSAGES even at finest level are thrown.
    I HAD NO ISSUES IN THE PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF JDEV IS THIS A JSF 2.0 BUG????
    BY THE WAY JDEV 11.1.2 sometimes CRASHES or Hangs when viewing the Binding of Page when you click on Binding straight from the Design view. I have to open the Binding Page separate to view it. FYI

  • New rows in Adobe table are not added to WD Context

    Hi experts: we have several Adobe Interactive forms.  Each has a table.  the user can add rows to the table, but when they do, the WD ABAP context does not get additional rows added to it. The new rows appear on the form, but not in the context.   If users change values in existing table rows, those values are changed in the context; however, new rows do not show up in context.
    Our Hierarchy Layout:
    P1
    --TableSub
    InnerSub
    Table1
    Row1
    <table fields>
    Remove (button)
    Add (button)
    The JavaScript for the buttons: ADD button...
    P1.TableSub.InnerSub.Add::click - (JavaScript, client)
    this.parent.instanceManager.addInstance();  // this adds a row, context not changed...
    xfa.form.recalculate();
    Remove button:
    P1.TableSub.InnerSub.Remove::click - (JavaScript, client)
    P1.TableSub.InnerSub.instanceManager.removeInstance(this.parent.index);  // this keeps same # of context rows, but  "removed
                                                                      // rows" have data replaced by duplicate data of another row; can deal with this issue...
    xfa.form.recalculate();
    The WD Context node has Cardinality 0..n  Selection: 0..n  (have tried 0..1, too).  No difference in context with additional form rows.
    Anybody, any ideas as to why # of rows in WD Context is not being altered by the Interactive Form?  Thanks!

  • AddAnotherRow of Advanced Table, does not make the new row as current row

    Hi OAF Gurus,
    Requirement:
    When user presses 'AddAnotherRow' button on OAAvancedTable, the new row that gets added should become the current row of the underlying VO of the table.
    What’s happening:
    When user presses 'AddAnotherRow' button on OAAvancedTable, the new row is not the current Row(VO’s previous current row retains its current status)
    What I tried by far
    APPROACH #1 - when create row
    In VORowImpl - override create and set this new row as current
    public void create(AttributeList attributeList)
    try
    super.create(attributeList);
    // PSUDO CODE
    am = this.getApplicationModule
    vo = am.findViewObject("OAAdvancedTableVO1");
    vo.setCurrentRow(this) // this should set the new row to current.
    But VO's current row is still the old current row and not this new row.
    APPROACH #2 - when insert Row
    I thought that AddAnotherRow , internally must be doing a create() then an insert() row on the VO, so i overridden the insertRow(row) of the VO
    public void insertRow(Row row)
    super.insertRow(row);
    this.setCurrentRow(row)
    System.out.println("COMMENT insert called .............................................");
    But this method is never called by the framework.
    ***Please help me make the newly created row on the OAAdvancedTable using 'AddAnotherRow' (out of the Box) , as the currentRow of the underlying VO***
    Thanks
    Chaitanya

    Thanks a lot Chris.
    I have used your code and it works perfect.
    Now I am not using the out-of-the-box AddAnotherRow, as it does not make the newly added Row as 'currentRow' of the VO
    I have used the following code by Chris and it solves the issue.
    1. Determine the number of already displayed rows on the table
    OAAdvancedTableBean tableBean = (OAAdvancedTableBean) webBean.findChildRecursive(tableID);
    int rowsDisplayed = tableBean.getNumberOfRowsDisplayed();
    replace tableID with the actual value.
    2. I have the following routine to create the row and set it as the current row.
    OAViewObject viewObject = (OAViewObject) findViewObject(viewObjectName);
    int rowCountInRange = viewObject.getRowCountInRange();
    Row row = viewObject.createRow();
    int insertIndex = rowCountInRange;
    if (rowCountInRange == rowsDisplayed) {
    insertIndex = rowCountInRange - 1;
    viewObject.insertRowAtRangeIndex(insertIndex, row);
    viewObject.setCurrentRow(row);
    Thanks again all of you for help

  • Make only the new row in a table editable and other rows display mode.
