Af:table row header

I have two questions regarding adf table
1. Is there a way to set header for each row (not the column) in the table?
2. Which property is responsible for displaying line numbers in the table?
Thank you

Hi,
1. You can set a column as row header by setting the "rowHeader" attribute on column to be true and these header columns should be first columns in table.
2. AFAIK, there is no property as such, but you can do it programmatically by adding a transient attribute in vo for line number and by calling a method which increments line number for each row by iterating all rows in vo
Eg. code using DeptView(where lineNumber is a transient attribute added in DeptView to hold line numbers assigned to each record).
public void incrementLineNumbers(){
RowSetIterator deptVOIterator = getDeptView().createRowSetIterator("DeptViewIterator");
Long lineNumber = 0L;
try{
while (deptVOIterator.hasNext()) {
DeptViewRowImpl row = (DeptViewRowImpl)deptVOIterator.next();
row.setLineNumber(++lineNumber);
System.out.println("Line number: "+lineNumber+"\n*********\n");
deptVOIterator.closeRowSetIterator();
}catch(Exception e){
e.printStackTrace();

  • SSRS Table/Row Header does not repeat on every page when exported to PDF

    Hi, I have a SSRS Report in which the rows are grouped and the Tablix has a Table/Row header. I wanted the header to repeat on every page for a group because sometimes the data from the group would be more than one page.
                                   To achieve this
                                   - I went to Advance mode by clicking the arrow next to column group
                                   - Selected the Header Static column from Row Group
                                   - Changed the following properties
                                                    - KeepWithGroup: After
                                                    - RepeatOnNewPage:
    True
                                                    - The header columns
    are set to not grow.
    The problem only occurs when the nested grouped data in one of the columns goes over a page. The following pages don't have any header.
    So half of the time the header row repeats but when the nested grouped data extends over one page the header does not show. Problem only occurs when rendered to pdf.
    I found this line "Headings are repeated on each page only if there is sufficient room" in SQL 2008 version. But I could not find it in later versions of sql server. So does that mean it is fixed

    Hi Mumblesnz1,
    According to your description, you specify value of RepeatOnNewPage as True in the report. When exporting the report to PDF, one grouped data extend over one page, and tablix header display on first page, not repeat on following pages.
    As we tested in our environment(SQL Server 2008(SP3)-10.0.5520.0(X64)), it works as you required. We set KeepWithGroup as After and RepeatOnNewPage as True. After exporting to PDF, the grouped data display on two pages, and tablix header repeats on each
    page. Since we haven’t found any document mentioned this issue is fixed on which version, I suggest you try to install the service pack 3 for sql server 2008.
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
    Best regards,

  • Nested Tables Repeat Header Row RTF Output Not Working v5.6.2(PDF does)

    All,
    Has anyone used nested tables in heading rows where they are set to repeat nested table header row across page breaks for RTF output ? This seems to work for PDF generation (line breaking enforcement doesn't) but I don't even get RTF Header ROWS indicated in my RTF output document. I have enabled them in my RTF template for the outer table row plus the inner nested table. Is this possible for RTF output or have I not indicated something in my RTF template or grouping clause ??
    Thanks,

  • Updating row header strings of a main VI table indicator simultaneously from the subVI.

    Hi, I am trying to update the row header strings of a table which is present in the main VI from the SubVI.i want to update the row headers
    simultaniously as the sub vi runs.I have used control Reference and a property node(Value) but i dint get the result.Please find the attached VI.
    Please give me the solution.Thank you.
    Attachments:
    Main VI.vi ‏9 KB
    subvi.vi ‏9 KB

     i am getting the data in the main VI after sub VI finished the execution
    That's called dataflow
    use your property node on the block diagram of main VI, create header first and then pass other elements in Table.

  • Scrolling Table Rows without scrolling table header

    Hi folks,
    Is it possible to scroll table rows (top to bottom) without scrolling table header?
    I am using table inside a scroll controller with scrolling mode "auto". It scrolls full table along with header.
    My requirement is to keep header static and scroll rows beneath same.
    Is it possible or any other alternative?
    Regards,
    Mandeep Virk

    Hello Mandeep,
    Which version of NW are you using. In CE version you have table with scrollable rows. In case you want your this requirement to get fuilfill then kindly upgrade to NW CE 7.1 .
    In the earler release of NW 2004s this is not possible.
    Some days back one had similar problem and he resolved it by using 2 containers. Please search on SDN.
    I hope this helps!
    Thanks nad Regards

  • JTable with row header plus value extraction from headers

    Hi, I am trying to do the following:
    Short Version-
    1. Create a table that has both row and column headers
    2. Allow the user to mouse over any of these headers such that doing so will display an image I have produced on a panel. (I already know how to create the image and how to display it, I'm just not sure how to associate it with a particular row or column header)
    3. Make the row headers look as much as possible like the column headers.
    Slightly Longer Version-
    Column headers will be labled A-H (maximum) while row headers will be labled 1-12 (maximum). Either can be less, however, depending on user input. After the table has been realized, the user will move the mouse over say, header 'H' and when they do, a JPEG image will appear on another panel and a tooltip will appear above the cell showing a formula. This happens when either row or column headers are moused over.
    Currently, I am using the following code from the O'reilly Swing book as a baseline for experimentation but any help you can offer will be appreciated. I'm fairly new to the JTable world... :-(
    TableModel tm = new AbstractTableModel(){
                   String data[] = {"", "a", "b", "c", "d", "e"};
                   String headers [] = {"Row #", "Column1", "Column2", "Column3", "Column4", "Column5"};
                   public int getColumnCount(){ return data.length;}
                   public int getRowCount() { return 1000;}
                   public String getColumnName(int col){ return headers[col];}
                   public Object getValueAt(int row, int col){
                        return data[col] + row;
              //creates a column model for the main table. This model ignores the first
              //column added and sets a minimum width of 150 pixels for all others
              TableColumnModel cm = new DefaultTableColumnModel(){
                   boolean first = true;
                   public void addColumn(TableColumn tc){
                        if(first) {first = false; return;}
                        tc.setMinWidth(150);
                        super.addColumn(tc);
              //Creates a column model that will serve as the row header table. This model
              //picks a maxium width and stores only the first column
              TableColumnModel rowHeaderModel = new DefaultTableColumnModel(){
                   boolean first = true;
                   public void addColumn(TableColumn tc){
                        if(first) {
                             tc.setMaxWidth(tc.getPreferredWidth());
                             super.addColumn(tc);
                             first = false;
              JTable grid = new JTable(tm, cm);
              //set up the header column and hook it up to everything
              JTable headerColumn = new JTable(tm, rowHeaderModel);
              grid.createDefaultColumnsFromModel();
              headerColumn.createDefaultColumnsFromModel();
              //make sure the selection between the main table and the header stay in sync
              grid.setSelectionModel(headerColumn.getSelectionModel());
              headerColumn.setBorder(BorderFactory.createEtchedBorder());
              headerColumn.setBackground(Color.lightGray);
              headerColumn.setColumnSelectionAllowed(false);
              headerColumn.setCellSelectionEnabled(false);
              JViewport jv = new JViewport();
              jv.setView(headerColumn);
              jv.setPreferredSize(headerColumn.getMaximumSize());
              //to make the table scroll properly
              grid.setAutoResizeMode(JTable.AUTO_RESIZE_OFF);
              //have to manually attach row headers but after that, the scroll pane
              //keeps them in sync
              JScrollPane jsp = new JScrollPane(grid);
              jsp.setRowHeader(jv);
              jsp.setCorner(ScrollPaneConstants.UPPER_LEFT_CORNER, headerColumn.getTableHeader());
              gridPanel.add(jsp, BorderLayout.NORTH);

    There a number of nice examples on JTable: http://www.senun.com/Left/Programming/Java_old/Examples_swing/SwingExamples.html
    Hope you could find something suitable ...

  • Do you need to generate HTML table rows from XML in InDesign?

    General issue: you export XML and you get a bunch of content for xml elements that were a table in inDesign. But they don't have any rows, just cell after cell. What will make rows in your output?
    Solution: XSLT; you need to use the @aid:tcols attribute of exported XML to determine the number of columns that your table should be. This is written in XSLT 1.1 so it shoud work with an export from InDesign. If you have problems with using it on export of XML, try using it on the XML afetr it has been exported, in Oxygen or other XSLT processor. Best to save acopy of your files before using the XSLT with them.  Copy all of the plain text and past into a new file, save with your own filename, ending with .xsl file extension. Then when exporting XML from InDesign CS3-5, browse to your new .xsl file and select it. PLEASE read about XSLT files at w3c.schools or other resource if you want to understand what is going on with this file.
    BTW <!-- indicates comments in code -->
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

    You can use RECORD type declaration:

  • How to use script to get the first table row on each page?

    I create a print form to display a table. I set a conditional page break on this table, so the table rows on each page could be different.
    For example, there're total 50 rows in this table. On the 1st page, there're 5 rows, but on the 2nd page, there're only 2 rows, and so on...
    Now I want to get some value from the 1st table row on each page. How can do that? I can refer to a table row using TableRow[n], but I don't know how to calculate 'n' in script (either FormCalc or JavaScript) for the 1st row on each page.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Wei,
    There is an option of setting the overflow header in the pallette. You may check that out. It is basically used to have the table header to be seen in all pages, if the table is overflowing to multiple pages. You may put your first row as the overflow header.
    - hope this helps, Kindly update,

  • How do I remove a gap between table rows in InDesign?

    I need help in figuring out how to remove gaps between table rows.  I have tried Table Spacing under Table Set-up, but it doesn't work.
    Here's what I'm working on:
    As you can see there are gaps above the first row and below last row under the header Business Management Technology.  I cannot select that gap.  How do I remove it, so that the first class, 31058, is flush with the black header?  (and the last class, 32675, is flush with the Chemistry header?)
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sarah

    I hadn't considered that, and your example is proof-of-concept. However, now that you made me look closer, I still don't think that's the OP's case, seeing as the text in the OP's header rows appears to span more than one column, belying what I suppose must be merged cells.* The column strokes in the "gap" appear to disqualify it (the gap) as part of a row with merged cells.
    *There is still another possibility that someone "made pictures" of tables with merged cells by overlaying text frames to make the header rows. I've run across all kinds of such "carpentry;" especially when the file may have originated at the desk of someone who avoids or resists use of tables. They find ways to fake them and/or their features.

  • Word wrapping in row header cell in OLAPDataGrid

    I have an issue with the OLAPDatagrid. Does anyone know how
    to wrap text in the row header cells?
    (to avoid confusion, i will demonstrate my issue using a grid
    with 1 row and 1 column dimension).
    OLAPDataGrid has 2 properties: wordWrap, which only seems to
    affect the data cells, and headerWordWrap which only appears to
    affect the dimension data across the topmost row.
    However, neither of these properties appear to allow the row
    dimensions' data to wrap (this is the data in the leftmost column).
    Not only this, the column does not automatically resize to reveal
    the data.
    I also can't see how to manually modify the width of the
    columns as at the point when the olapdatagrid's dataprovider is
    assigned to the olapresult, the column count is zero.
    any suggestions?
    thanks

  • How to get more table rows to appear on form

    I'm looking for a way to have more table rows appear on the actual form.  I created a table with one header and one row with the add and delete button option.  I like how the purchase order form sample has it setup where in designer it shows one row and then on the form it appears the table has three rows to start with.  How do I do that?  I looked at the code on the sample and I couldn't find it anywhere.  Please help, thanks.

    Hi,
    The first part is easy to set up. If you select the object and go to the Object > Field palette. There you can click on display pattern and insert a null pattern, like "Name".
    When the field doesn't have data, it will display "Name", but as soon as the user clicks in, this will automatically disappear.
    The slight glitch is that by default this 'caption in the field' has the same text style as the rawValue, typically Myriad, black 10pt.
    To achieve a grey, italic font to the null values, will require a little script.
    If you look at page 2 of this example you will see how I have set up the three fields on the right:

  • Tables in header and trailer subforms

    I'm trying to create a form which would generate a report containing assets from our ERP system. The very first version is in attachment. The output of report should be splitted to individual pages according to change in column "asset class" of imported assets. I achieved this successfully by creating conditional breaks. So now I have report which generates for every asset class collection of subforms: heading + n x body + trailer. Each heading appears on new page.
    The problem occurs when I try to insert table into heading or trailer subform. This leads to strange behavior visible in PDF attached. The table has 2 rows and 3 columns. In the last trailer subform it is displayed fine. In all other trailer subforms generated after conditional break all rows and columns are rendered on the same X and Y coordinates so they cover themselves. The same occurs in heading subform. I want the tables to be shown correctly.
    I would appreciate any suggestion and help...

    Hi Prashant
    You can use a combination of external table and multi table insert. In ODI 11g there is a Oracle Multi Table Insert IKM. You will have to have one interface which has the source as the file and the target is a temporary target. The LKM will use LKM File to External Table, the IKM will use Oracle Multi Table IKM, and it will set DEFINE_QUERY. Also the LKM should set DELETE_TEMPORARY_OBJECTS to false. Then define 2 interfaces to load your 2 targets for example. The first target loading interface will use the 1st interface as a source and the MTI IKM again will use the MTI IKM and set IS_TARGET_TABLE to true and execute to false. Then the second target loading interface will use the 1st interface as a source and the MTI IKM again wil set IS_TARGET_TABLE to true and execute to true.

  • How to fix the table column header and resize the width of a table column?

    Hi all,
    I have the following two requirements,
    1) I need to wrap the table column header into two rows. I mean the header must be displayed in two rows.
    2) I need to to able to resize the width of the column. i.e The user should be able to drag the column width according to his requirement.
    Is this possible. Any help would be appreciated!

  • How to Merge ADF Table Column Header in ADF Table ?

    Hi All,
    We need to have ADF Table Column header to be "Merged",
    e.g :
    There are two columns Header : | Qty (Case) | Qty (Pack) |,
    can we customize it to display like this :
    | ----- Qty -------|
    | Case | Pack |
    where there are two rows in column header, the first one is "Merged".
    How can we do that ?
    Thank you very much,
    xtanto

    Hi Kelly,
    Thank you for your reply,
    Using Column Faced, Header I can format the header of one column Only.
    My requirement is to Merge header of two colums :
    | ----- Qty -------|
    | Case | Pack |
    'Case' &'Pack' is two different column, so I need to add one row on the header of the two colums, then 'merge' them, and add the word '----Qty----'.
    Is it possible ?
    Thank you,
