Af:table rowSelection

Hi all,
I'm using JDeveloper 11g, ADF Faces and ADF BC.
I have a read only table, with single selection enabled. When a row is selected I want to show all the fields of the selected row in a form. I only want to show the form when a row has been selected or when the user is creating a new record using CreateInsert operation. How can I set a rendered attribute to the form, not to be displayed always? Is the selected index of the table set by default pointing to the first row? How can I avoid thar?
Thank you
Joseba

Use the visible property for this.
Using rendered means that the form will not be on the page if the condition is false the time the page gets rendered. There is no way to show the form if the condition is true because it's not there, till you render the whole page again which gives a bad usability.
How would you like the form displayed? On a new page? In a popup window?

  • Select Multiple Rows in a Table without CTRL

    Expecting the user to press "Ctrl" when selecting multple rows is very unfriendly and unintuitive. We'd like the row selection to work as in ALV where you just select multiple rows by clicking on them.
    We've set the tables rowSelectable to true and selectionMode to 'multi' but we still cannot select multiple rows without the CTRL hotkey.
    This issue apparently [arose before|About selection in the table] but wasn't resolved.

    Hello Marc,
    you need to call IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE->set_selected(index = lv_index) sorry for the typo in my previous comment.
    by calling IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE->set_selected method wont remove the lead selection.
    to unselect the records, you can call the same method by passing the FLAG value as abap_false.
    so for your usecase the logic will be like this in the ON_SELECT event handler
    1. get the index of the new_lead_selection
    2. check whether this is already seleted in the context node by calling IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE->IS_selected
    3. if already selected then call IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE->set_selected( flag = abap_false index = lv_index)
       if not selected then call IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE->set_selected( index = lv_index )
    Hope this solved your problem.

  • Pressing ENTER key in clickToEdit af:table

    Hi,
    In our application, we have a click-to-edit table. We are experiencing the following problem.
    - Suppose one of the rows are selected, and focus is in an editable field.
    - Press the ENTER (or RETURN) key
    - The previously selected row is still selected (colored dark blue), but the fields of the row below are editable.
    This did not happen in 11.1.1.6 (after pressing enter, the same field of the second row was editable and focussed), but it does in 11.1.1.7
    Is this a known problem? Workaround??

    Hi,
    I don't think this is intentional and thus should be filed as a bug. If you have a customer support contract or if you are from Oracle, please file a service request with support or file a bug directly. If none of the too applies, please send me a test case based on the HR schema in a ZIP file you rename to "unzip". • Table SelectionListener doesn't work

    Hi,
    the main property of table:
    RowSelection--Single
    Value--binding a CollectionModel Variable of it's backingBean
    SelectionListener--a method in it's backingBean, an print the table's selectedRowKeys in this method.
    The display of table is right.
    The result of print is [null] when I select a row for the first time.
    The method doesn't work when I select a row later.
    Thanks

    why don't you post some code and also what version are you using?

  • Issue with Drag&Drop between table and tree component

    I want to drag table rows and drop it on the tree node. I use following code to achieve this:
    <af:table value="#{bindings.pricingObjects.collectionModel}"
    var="row"
    rows="#{bindings.pricingObjects.rangeSize}"
    emptyText="#{bindings.pricingObjects.viewable ? 'No data to display.' : 'Access Denied.'}"
    fetchSize="#{bindings.pricingObjects.rangeSize}"
    selectionListener="#{workspaceBean.onTableSelect}"
    rowBandingInterval="0" id="poTable"
    partialTriggers=":::csTree :::cbRefresh"
    columnStretching="column:c4"
    displayRow="selected"
    contentDelivery="immediate"
    clientComponent="true"
    binding="#{workspaceBean.table}"
    rowSelection="multiple">
    <af:dragSource actions="MOVE" defaultAction="MOVE" discriminant="rowmove"/>
    </af:table>
    <af:tree value="#{bindings.privateChangeSets.treeModel}"

    <af:dataFlavor flavorClass="org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.model.RowKeySet"
    discriminant="rowmove"/>
    </af:dropTarget>
    </af:tree>
    With this code I am getting the data of dragged rows but I am not able to get the tree node where rows are dropped. Dropevent.getDropSite() always returns NULL.
    Strangely, I tried to use deprecated tags <af:collectionDragSource> and <af:collectionDropTarget> and everything works fine. Dropevent.getDropSite() returns me the correct rowkey of tree node.
    Any idea why am I not getting desired result with <af:dropTarget>?

    Hi,
    +" Please note that dropSite==null is a legal value for collection components. dropSite=null and DropOrientation==ON indicates that the drop has happened outside the data portion of the collection component and should be treated as a drop on the entire component Also note that dropSite==null and DropOrientation==AFTER indicates that the drop has happened on an empty collection component and the user intends to append the data."+

  • ADF Faces Export - All to CSV dose not export the table correctly

    Hi ,
    I followed the source code of this demo site( http://rcf.us.oracle.com:9008/faces-12.1.2.0.0/faces/components/table.jspx) to create two buttons to export a table to CSV file, one is to export all rows and one is to export the selected rows.
    The problem is the export all will generate a html file which dose not have the table content and the selected one works nicely except when I selected all rows than click export selected, it also generates the same html file as export all. The exception at the log on weblogic server and my source code are as below. Thank you!

  • Double Click event on table

    I need to allow selection of table row on double click - I implemented this functionality as suggested in article "http://technology.amis.nl/blog/3845/adf-11g-richfaces-handling-the-client-side-double-click-to-invoke-a-server-side-operation". I noticed the double click works fine if I click on any part of the row that is empty (without text). If i double click on the text that is displayed on the column cell - it just highlights the text and does not invoke Java script method for handling double-click event. I have set table 'rowselection' to 'single'. I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.5 and Firefox (3.1.16) browser.
    Any one else has experienced this issue, is there any solution for this.

    Thanks Timo for your response. I am seeing this odd behavior when using pageflowscope managed bean.
    1). I have a page (part of unbounded taskflow) that has commandlink which invokes a task flow as dialog (inline-popup):
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.1"
    xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
    xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
    xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich">

    <f:view>
    <af:document id="d1" title="testw">

    windowEmbedStyle="inlineDocument"

    action="testflow"/>
    </af:panelGroupLayout>
    </af:form>
    </af:document>
    </f:view>
    </jsp:root>
    2). The inline popup has a table where I am using double click event on a row.

    If I make "TestdblClick" managed bean as request scope to handle double-click event it works fine, however if I make "TestdblClick" managed bean as pageflow scope (task flow) it does not work when double click is on a text within the table row. I am not sure why pageflowscope should impact the double-click behavior.

    Hi Timo,
    Thanks for reply .
    I am using Jdev11g.
    I also tried Debug and what i observer is
    1)If i drop trinad table it gives above error before catching debug point in action.
    2)If i use <af:table ... i am able to catch debug point but it give null value on step UIXTable table = getTable() in above code.
    Please suggest me how to use trinidad table for multiple row selection functionality bcz it satisfy my requirement.

  • Multiple rowselection in 12c

    Hi there.
    In 11g this short code:
    RowKeySet rks = table.getSelectedRowKeys();
    Returned all keys of multiple selected rows in a table.
    In 12c this code returns just the first key.
    System.out.println(rks.size()); // 1
    How to make it work as needed?
    Table rowSelection is set to multiple.
    Thanks.
    ADF 12.1.3

    Can you paste your Table Definition code here.
    Remove the selectedRowKeys attribute from the table definition.
    Refer  the below link for more details:

  • Delete is not working in ADF 11g

    Hi All,
    Need urgent help on delete operation. I tried the following approaches to achieve this.
    First Approach:
    I am deleting the record from table (trinidad readonly table) through a command button using this below code.
    public void delMyProfileRec(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
    ((AppModuleImpl)getApplicationModuleForDataControl()).deleteMyProfileRows();
    In APPModule Impl:
    public void deleteMyProfileRows(){
    this.getfavoritesView().removeCurrentRow();
    this.getDBTransaction().commit();
    My problem is, it is always deleting the first record irrespective of the record selection. Reason for deleting the record thru backing bean is, I am using popup window for user confirmation on delete.
    Second Approach:
    In backing bean, I have an action method to delete the selected record.
    public String deleteHistoryRecord(){
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding =
    bindings.getOperationBinding("Delete2");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
    return null;
    operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
    result = operationBinding.execute();
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
    return null;
    FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    return null;
    In both the cases, selected record is not deleting instead it is deleting either first or last record. Please do the needful.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Both the approaches given are correct, the problem seems to be with row selection.
    Are you sure that rowSelection and selectionListener properties are set on the read-only table?
    Eg.
    <af:table rowSelection="Single" selectionListener="#{bindings.<tree_binding>.collectionModel.makeCurrent}" .. >
    </af:table>Sireesha

  • How to make sure newly created row is editable by default programatically

    Hi All,
    I got a problem with creating new row in single row selection table with on click property enabled for editing mode.
    Function requirement is like: I have Mater-Detail. While creating detail lines, line has to be created with default line number. Eg: Master1 can have line numbers 1,2,3..etc, Master2 can have 1,2,3.. etc.
    In applicationTable for Pattern Create
    Action Listener=”#{CreateAndEditFiscalDocumentBean.createChargeLine}”
    In Table rowSelection="single" and editingMode="clickToEdit"
    Here the problem is:
    When I first come to the page,the first row in the detail table is editable and could able to edit any other row on click . But When I create a new row , I got a new row with line number but it is not editable.
    I want it to be editable on create and previously selected row should be read only. I have tried several ways but nothing is working.
    My observation is, when I call the bean method in Action Listener of application Table in create patteren, I am facing this problem. If I do not call this method, it is working as expected. But I need to call this method because it has to create row with line number.
    I am putting below two scenarios which I have tried. I am not successful in the both the scenarios.
    Could you please help me in achieving expected functionality.
    Many thanks in advance for your time and help.
    Scenario 1:
    Jsff:
    ApplicationTable: createActionListener="#{CreateAndEditFiscalDocumentBean.createChargeLine}"
    Table: rowSelection="single", editingMode="clickToEdit"
    Bean Code:
    public void createChargeLine(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
    FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ExpressionFactory factory = fc.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
    MethodExpression method=factory.createMethodExpression(fc.getELContext(),"#{bindings.createChargeLine1.execute}",String.class,new Class[]{});
    method.invoke(fc.getELContext(),null);
    AMImpl Code:
    public void createChargeLine() {
    ViewObject itemChargeVO = this.getFiscalDocumentCharges();
    ViewObject fiscalDocumentHeaderVO = this.getFiscalDocumentHeader();
    Row toRow = fiscalDocumentHeaderVO.getCurrentRow();
    Row newRow = null;
    Row latestRow = itemChargeVO.first();
    Integer line_number = new Integer(0);
    int numberOfItemLines = 0;
    if (latestRow != null) {
    RowSet rs = itemChargeVO.getRowSet();
    numberOfItemLines = numberOfItemLines + 1;
    if (rs != null) {
    line_number =
    (Integer)rs.first().getAttribute("LineNumber");
    while (rs.hasNext()) {
    numberOfItemLines = numberOfItemLines + 1;
    Row row = rs.next();
    if (line_number.compareTo((Integer)row.getAttribute("LineNumber")) <
    0)
    line_number =
    (Integer)row.getAttribute("LineNumber");
    line_number = line_number + 1;
    newRow = itemChargeVO.createRow();
    newRow.setAttribute("LineNumber", line_number);
    itemChargeVO.insertRowAtRangeIndex(numberOfItemLines + 1, newRow);
    itemChargeVO.setCurrentRow(newRow);
    } else {
    newRow = itemChargeVO.createRow();
    newRow.setAttribute("LineNumber", new Integer(1));
    itemChargeVO.insertRowAtRangeIndex(0, newRow);
    itemChargeVO.setCurrentRow(newRow);
    Scenario 2:
    Bean method changes:
    public void createChargeLine1(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
    Row newLine = ApplicationsTableEventHandler.getInstance().processCreate(getChargeTable());
    newLine.setAttribute("LineNumber", new Integer(1));
    }

    Hi Jerry,
    Please refer to the following blog and check whether you followed all the steps:
    /people/harikrishna.sunku/blog/2008/12/18/work-center-and-navigation-link-creation-in-crm-2007
    You basically need to ensure that your custom work center is assigned to a navigation bar profile; and this navigation bar profile is assigned to your business role.

  • Af:selectOneListbox - can not extend to 100% widthway in jsff.

    Dier Gurus,
    I am not able to extend af:selectOneListbox to width = 100% of my jsff (popup) where af:selectOneListbox is placed.
    I was playing with inlineStyle, contentStyle attributes, I also wrapped it into af:panelStretchLayout - but this did not help too.
    Any restrictions for the component - ? Was anyone successful in this?
    Thanks,
    Ivan

    Hello, Frank,
    just to clarify my intentions: I want to expand the item (selectOneListbox) from the Left to the Right (of jsff where it is placed).
    In my case - I have <af:selectOneListbox>, then <af:table> below it - the table is perfectly expanded for 100% per width of jsff where it is placed (due to AFStretchWidth probably, + columnStretching). But selectOneListbox is not..
    The page is coded as:
    <af:panelGroupLayout layout="vertical" id="pgl1">
    <af:panelGroupLayout layout="horizontal" id="pgl2" styleClass="AFStretchWidth"
    inlineStyle="width:100%;">
    <af:selectOneListbox value="#{bindings.DrFio.inputValue}"
    styleClass="AFStretchWidth"
    label="#{bindings.DrFio.label}"
    simple="true"
    required="#{bindings.DrFio.hints.mandatory}"
    shortDesc="#{bindings.DrFio.hints.tooltip}"
    id="correlatedDepsList_SOL"
    autoSubmit="true"
    valueChangeListener="#{PayoffsTransRef.currBean.correlatedDepsListValueChangeListener}"
    visible="#{!PayoffsTransRef.currBean.applicationNumberFound}">
    <f:selectItems value="#{bindings.DrFio.items}" id="si1"/>
    </af:selectOneListbox>
    </af:panelGroupLayout>
    <af:table rowSelection="single" id="table1" var="row"
    value="#{PayoffsTransRef.currBean.correlatedDepsDetailsTable}"
    styleClass="AFStretchWidth"
    summary="table data"
    partialTriggers="::correlatedDepsList_SOL"
    columnStretching="column:c2"
    autoHeightRows="6"
    visible="#{!PayoffsTransRef.currBean.applicationNumberFound}">
    <af:column sortable="false" headerText="Проверяемые элементы сведений о вкладчике" id="c1">
    <af:outputText value="#{row.attrName}" id="ot1"/>
    </af:column>
    <af:column sortable="false" headerText="Результат проверки элемента" id="c2">
    <af:outputText value="#{row.measureOfSimilarity}" id="ot2"/>
    </af:column>
    </af:table>
    </af:panelGroupLayout>
    Thanks in advance.

  • Trouble creating content presenter template

    I'm trying to create a template for the content presenter that will display a table view of files in a folder.
    I tried creating a custom template based off the sample list-detailed-tabular-view.jsff that was included. but I am having trouble figuring out what my error is.
    When I export the template I can successfully upload it to webcenter but when I try to apply the template to a content presenter the page goes blank and I have to go back to administration to disable the template to get the page to load again.
    After several failed attempts I even tried copying the sample table template directly without changing any of the code but when I apply it the page still goes blank and becomes inaccessible
    This only happens when I try to create a template that calls another single template. I was able to get a template working that was for a single item, but I need to get the documents under a folder to work...
    How can I troubleshoot whats causing the error? I am new so I have a feeling I may be missing some steps when creating,exporting, or uploading the template.
    Below are the sources for the 2 templates, do I have to create anything else besides a .jsff file?
    Single Item which works by it self:
    <?xml version = '1.0'?>
    <jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.1"

    destination="#{node.primaryProperty.url}"
    targetFrame="_blank"
    shortDesc="#{not empty node.propertyMap['xComments'].value.stringValue ? node.propertyMap['xComments'].value.stringValue : node.primaryProperty.value.binaryValue.name}"
    rendered="#{not empty node}">
    <af:showPopupBehavior triggerType="mouseOver" popupId="::cpPopup"/>
    </af:goImageLink>
    <af:outputText id="emptyot" value="#{templateBundle.EMPTY_NODE}"
    rendered="#{empty node}"/>
    </dt:contentTemplateDef>
    </jsp:root>
    The Table Template that calls the single item (this is what seems to break the page when I activate it)
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

    view="keith.list.item"
    nodesHint="#{nodes}" id="ct1"/>
    </af:column>
    <af:column headerText="#{templateBundle.COLUMN_MODIFIED_DATE}"
    sortProperty="modifiedDate" sortable="true" align="end"
    id="c2">
    <af:outputText value="#{node.modifiedDate}" id="ot2">
    <af:convertDateTime type="both"
    timeZone="#{generalSettings.userTimeZone}"/>
    </af:outputText>
    </af:column>
    <af:column headerText="#{templateBundle.COLUMN_MODIFIED_USERNAME}"
    sortProperty="modifiedBy" sortable="true" align="end"
    id="c3">

    </af:column>
    </af:table>
    </dt:contentListTemplateDef>
    </jsp:root>
    Also if anyone knows where I can find tutorials to learn how to create the templates that would be great.

    You may want to repost your question in the WebCenter Portal forum. The problem is likely not on the Content Server side.

  • Problems with RowSelection in adf table

    I have problems with selection of a row in a adf table. Even though I have set the property : rowSelection="single" , when i select a row, the two other rows that follow, get selected too. For example I have 10 records an when i select the 7th row, the 8th and 9th row are also selected. This doesn't happen with the first rows.
    Also when i evaluate an attribute on selectionListener, it is always getting just the one from the first row.

  • Enable showDetailItem on RowSelect of table present in a region

    I m new in adf and want to enable showDetailItem on RowSelect of a table present in a region.that region is also placed in another showDetailItem. i have done in partialtrigger of showDetailItem r1:t1.but its not working.Any Idea ?

    Hi,
    refreshing the region alone doesn't do anything with the showDetail item therein. When you PPR the region then the region is refreshed and the data in the region is synchronized (if the task flow inthe region uses a shared data control). What exactly do you mean with "enable showDetailItem" - disclose? The showDetailItem component in the region, what is it contained in (tab, accordion ?). Please provide more details on the use case.
