Af:table sending event on load, is it possible?

In JDeveloper 11.1.1.6 I have a af:table that has a selection event tied into it that sends an ID to another task flow.
However, since the selectionLister does not get called on initial table load, only on a change that leads my other task flow to not get the unique ID sent by this event for the first page load. Is there a way for me to trigger this event for the first page load? I tried sending the event in the getTable() method in the bindings but that did not work.

I am nor sure what the actual use case is.. but you can use a trick.
Add an attribute binding for ID attribute(or any attribute you need for that matter).. value of this attribute will always be the attribute value for current row of the table.
you can access this attribute binding #{bindings.<attr_name>.inputValue}.

Hi,
How can I issue an error in the table maintenance event without exiting the screen.
When an event is triggered (Before Save), it will perform a check in the data changed or created. It will issue an error when the changes are not correct. But when I press enter or click on the check button, it will exit the table maintenance screen.
What do I have to do in order to issue an error but will still go back to the table maintenance view.
Making the message as information or type I, will not work because it will still save.

You can move check into view cluster event.
1. load the view
     PERFORM vcl_set_table_access_for_obj
          USING 'view'
          CHANGING error_flag.
2. assing to structure
     LOOP AT <vcl_total> INTO ls_view
3. perform check, set VCL_STOP which will stop saving and will display message
     VCL_STOP = 'X'.
     MESSAGE ....

What are the tables will update while loading Master data ? And requesting you to provide more information about Master data loading and its related settings in the beginning of creation infoobjects.

It depends upon the type of Master data u r loading....
In all the master data loadings, for every new value of master data an SID will be created in the SID table /BI*/S<INFOOBJECT NAME> irrespective of the type of master data.
But the exceptional tables that get updated depending on the type of master data are.....
If it is a time Independent master data then the /BI*/P<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated with the loaded data.
If it is a time dependent master data then the /BI*/Q<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated with the loaded data.
If the master data is of time Independent Navigational attributes then for every data load the SID table will get updated first and then the /BI*/X<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated with the SID's created in the SID table (NOT WITH THE MASTER DATA).
If the master data is of time dependent navigational attributes then for every data load the SID table will get updated first and then the /BI*/Y<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated with the SID's created in the SID table (NOT WITH THE MASTER DATA).
NOTE: As said above, For all the data in P, Q, T, X, Y tables the SID's will be created in the S table /BI*/S<INFOOBJECT NAME>
NOTE: Irrespective of the time dependency or Independency the VIEW /BI*/M<INFOOBJECT NAME> defined on the top of /BI*/P<INFOOBJECT NAME> & /BI*/Q<INFOOBJECT NAME> tables gives the view of entire master data.
NOTE: it is just a View and it is not a Table. So it will not have any physical storage of data.
All the above tables are for ATTRIBUTES
But when it comes to TEXTS, irrespective of the Time dependency or Independency, the /BI*/T<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated (and of course the S table also).
Naming Convention: /BIC/*<InfoObject Name> or /BI0/*<InfoObject Name>
C = Customer Defined Characteristic
0 = Standard or SAP defined Characteristic
* = P, Q, T, X,Y, S (depending on the above said conditions)

It is just necessary overhead. Please explain why you (apparently) believe that the suggestion of a view will not meet your requirements.

How to use the table maintenance events for validating the input entries..?

I have created a Z table with 6 fields in which all are KEY fields. All are of CHAR type. I have created the Table Maintenance Generator for the same. While maintaining the entries in the table, even though I maintain a blank entry for a field it is saving the entry. But, I don't want that way. All the fields are mandatory in my table. One should enter all the fields. Otherwise it should not allow to save the entry. So, I think it can be done using the Table Maintenance Events. can someone tell me how to use the Table Maintenance Events. and which event to use for my reuqirement and what is the logic to be written.
Or Is there any other way to solve my problem.

In the table maintenance generator, Environment --> Modifications --> Events then a screen will be appear here,we need to create the Events.In the EVENTS screen, press new Entries, there give 01(Before Saving the Data in the Database) and give a name(This will become a PERFORM), then click the Editor pushbutton, this will be there at the right side of the entry, then a popup will be appear, you can create an include program, there inside of the include program write ur code.

Table maintenance events

Hello,
Does anyone has a code example of table maintenance events?
I have a custom table ( zitab ) , with a maintenance view in SM30. I would like to use the table maintenance events for some authorisation check before the data is displayed, then, depending on the authorisation, display what the user is authorised to see. After data input, perform validation, if errors occur, inform the user what the problem is, if not, save in tha z table.
Can this be done in sm30 or I need to write a new program?

Outlook 2007 Calendar Monitoring: track send event for recurring meetings

I'm working on an Outlook 2007, VSTO 2010, .NET 3.5 add-in which monitors AppointmentItem objects changed on the user's calendar. Specifically I'm tracking the send event of the currently selected appointment in the calendar view. Currently my add-in is
set to cancel the send event and call Display() on the selected appointment instead.
I'm testing with Outlook 2007 SP3. The event handler is fired correctly for non-recurring meetings when the user changes the start or end time of the meeting and for recurring meeting occurrences / exceptions when the user changes the end time, but not when
the user changes the start time of a recurring meeting occurrence / exception. These are the specific steps:
Create a recurring appointment with e.g. 3 occurrences, add at least one attendee and send the invitation.
Set the Calendar to display a Week View.
Select the top edge of the first occurrence of the appointment created in step 1 and drag it upwards to increase the length of the appointment by half an hour.
Release the mouse button and press enter to confirm the change.
Answer 'Save changes and send update' in the popup.
At this point the addin should cancel the send event and display the appointment, but actually the event handler is not called. This behavior occurs only when I change the start time of an occurrence / exception. When I change the end time the event handler
is called correctly.
Do you have any clue why the event handler is only called for the one change and not for the other? How could I work around this issue?

If I created two triggers on the same table and event (before insert), which of them will be triggered first ?...
The problem from the beginning is that I created the second one as after insert and in the body of the trigger I wrote (:new.xxx:= value) ... then an error (that it should be before insert trigger or update trigger), so I created it as before update ,,, but I have already before update trigger (for primary key)..... and the problem -I think- which of them start first...
Can make the second one as after insert and make update statement instead of assigning (:new.xxx:= value).....

start first...If there is a conflict of interest inside the code then you will have to alter your design principle around this to cater for it. Also consider combining the code into a single before insert trigger to prevent any confusion.

External Table and Direct path load

I was just playing with Oracle sql loader and external table features. few things which i ovserved are that data loading through direct path method of sqlloader is much faster and takes much less hard disk space than what external table method takes. here are my stats which i found while data loading:

i used same files for testing and all other conditions are similar also. In my case datafile is autoextendable, hence, as par requirement its size is automatically increased and hard disk space is reduced thus.The issue is that, is this an expected behaviour? and why in case of external tables such a large hard disk space is used when compared to direct path method? Performance of external table load is also very bad when compared to direct path load.
one more thing is that while using external table load with PARALLEL option, ideally, it should take less time. But what i actually get is more than what the time was without PARALLEL option.
In both the cases i am loading data from the same file to the same table (once using direct path and once using external table). before every fresh loading i truncate my internal table into which data was loaded.

Detecting the send event in Outlook addin

I'm trying to write an Outlook AddIn app in C# using Visual Studio 2012. I need to detect when the send button is clicked in a current email. I'll want to perform some actions after the send button has been clicked.
I assume an event handler needs to be created, but I'm not sure where- at the item level, or application level. I created a mail item object with Outlook.MailItem publicItem = (Outlook.MailItem).this.OutlookItem. It seems like I should be detecting
publicItem.send but I'm not clear on how and where to use event handlers in this case.
I added a checkbox, and Visual Studio created publicCheckBox_Changed(object sender, EventArgs e) for me. To check if the box was checked, I used 'if(publicCheckBox.checked) { do stuff }. Is detecting the send event similar?
I'm new to c# and Outlook Addins, and fairly new to coding.

In the check box Clicked event you can add a user property to the MailItem (see UserProperties.Add). Then in the ItemSend event ( see the Application class) handler you can check out the property value - whether it is set or not. Be aware, the Cancel parameter
passed to ItemSend event handler allows to prevent the item from sending.

ABAP Table Maintenance Events

Hello All ,
I have created the Table Maintenance with Events .
When the user enter the sales order number & item in the Txn code screen of the table .The Event 05 triggers & pulls out information for Sales Order Customer ,Material ,Plant & show it in the screen .
There are two more fields for user input Valid to & Valid from , the user now fills in these fields & then press Save button in the screen .
Now He gets the Short dump related to duplicate entries .
I checked the standard code & it is trying to enter data into the Internal table
MOD_ELEM_TAB & since already the same entry exsist in this table so program dumps out .
Kindly suggest the way to solve this issue .

Check with table primary keys and if you are creating same data again and again,
then you will get short dump..
so keep the validation like if record already exits then give message.
else you want to create same data again and again then create one more field and it is like count (keep as primary key ).

Problem with table maintenance event

Hi Experts,
In the table maintenance event 05 for a ztable, I have written logic to validate if few key fields and non key fields are not initial.
If they are initial,need to throw an error message and it has to stay in the same screen.But right now it grays out the non key field.
Tried the combination of events 01 and 05 it grays out the key field.
Please let me know if there are any ways to achieve this without making modifications in the PBO or PAI of the ztable.

I have found a topic which shows an information message, which claims that the data is not saved.
But it does save the data if you use an information message and blocks non-key fields when using an error message
so this problem is still open for me.
Does anybody have a solution?

Handling a table scroll event

Hi experts,
I have a table with several columns. In one column there is a small image thumbnail. After the content (JSONModel) has rendered in the table, a javascript is triggered, which searches for the thumbnails and generates on mouseover bigger preview of that image. However, if I scroll down the table, then the preview is not generated and I would like to re-run that script again. Therefore I would like to handle a table scroll event.
How could a listener to the scroll event of a sapui5 table be handeled?

My problem is that my iCal won't sync from my first-generation iPad to my computer, and the computer sends events multiple times back to the iPad... which is now full of duplicate events. I'm NOT on iCloud.

I'm just an old lady who doesn't know a lot about this stuff, but I do love my iPad and miss my portable calendar! My problem is that my iCal won't sync from my (first-generation, cheaper of the two models) iPad to my computer, and the computer sends events multiple times back to the iPad... which is now full of duplicate events.
