Af:tree attribute disclosureListener

hi all,
i am really confusing with af:tree.
now i am refering on http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/partners/addins/exchange/jsf/doc/tagdoc/core/tree.html
according to that link af:tree have attribute call disclosureListener.
but when i am using with JDev 11.1.1.2 , it is complaining about that attribute.
is there any good reference with af:tree?
and also i need to highly customize af:tree.
i want to use tree.getDepth() and discloseRowKeySet.add().
but it behavior is strange. whenever i use getDepth, i get only 0 value, even i click on third level or fourthd level of tree.
With Regards,
WP

Hi,
its called rowDisclosureListener, not disclosureLietener. See: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/apirefs.1111/e12419/tagdoc/af_tree.html

  • Tree Attributes Query Example is Incorrect

    I have been trying to create a Tree region in Application Express 4.0.2.00.07.
    In the "Tree Attributes" page the exmaple and help text are contradicting, the example is oncorrect whereas the help text is correct.
    This is very frustrating!
    See text:
    Syntax: select status, level, name, icon, id, tooltip, link from ... where ... start with... connect by prior id = pid order siblings by ...
    +1. You must select the columns in the following order (e.g. status, level, name, icon, id, tooltip, link..)+
    +2. Ordering applies the order_by_clause to the siblings of the hierarchy+
    Example:
    select case when connect_by_isleaf = 1 then 0 when level = 1 then 1 else -1 end as status,
    ENAME as title
    NULL  as icon,
    EMPNO as value,
    ENAME as tooltip,
    NULL  as link
    from EMP
    start with MGR is null
    connect by prior EMPNO = MGR
    order siblings by ENAME
    When following the example, I kept getting a javascript error when running the page and when viewing the source it was the ORA error No Data Found.
    Once I noticed the contradiction between point 1 of the Syntax help and the code example I tried using the columns in the Syntax help and the tree started working.
    Given the proximity of these two pieces of boilerplate text it'd be great if it could be made consistent.
    Hopefully this post will help anyone else who encounters this problem.

    And should look into this proper documentation http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17556_01/doc/user.40/e15517/app_comp.htm#BABBCAEJ

  • How do I get text value in column next to tree element?

    I can only get elements from the left column...how do I read from other column.
    For example if I want  "Version 1.0" i get the section1 tag, then the first child...and then?
    thanks

    Thank you
    in the mean time I came up with a similar solution.
    What is the difference between the property and invoke node I used and yours? Maybe my version is more flexible because require a generic tree reference? But yours looks more simple and clear...
    I'm not an expert of these functions I was just wondering about the theory beyond them and which is best in which case.

  • Trees in Apex 4.0

    Hello,
    Is it possible to make the ajax tree in Apex 4.0 to "memorize" it's state between page loads ?
    Now it's always returned to it's original state after page reload, for example a folder is closed.
    Tiina

    Hi Tiina,
    If you wish to save the state of your tree, to expand the tree to the last selected node, you will need to use the 'Selected Node Page Item' attribute of your tree. Edit your tree and on the Tree Attributes page, set the 'Selected Node Page Item' to a page or application item that you wish to hold the selected node value e.g. P21_SELECTED_NODE as used in the Tree demonstration. Then update the link parameter in your tree query to set this item to the VALUE parameter of your query .e.g EMPNO. Now when you select a node, and return to the tree page, the tree will expand to that last selected node.

  • Assigning Selected Tree Node Value To An Item

    Hi guys,
    I want to assign selected tree node's value to a page item. This item can be a textbox or a label (display only). How can i do that? I tried to use "Selected Node Page Item" property which is available on Tree Attributes. But I couldn't assign the value without refreshing whole page.
    Do you have any idea?
    Thanks.

    Hi ,
    Thank you that was exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't find how to pass database column to javascript as an input parameter. So thanks for your help. I made a couple of correction :
    1) I put additional ' characters to ('''||"NAME"||''') this part because my field is varchar.
    select case when connect_by_isleaf = 1 then 0
    when level = 1 then 1
    else -1
    end as status,
    level,
    NAME as title,
    null as icon,
    "ID" as value,
    null as tooltip,
    'javascript:setFObjName('''||"NAME"||''')' As link
    from "#OWNER#"."TABLE_NAME"
    start with "PID" is null
    connect by prior "ID" = "PID"
    2) In script I have added ' character before and after page item.
    function setFObjName(pobjName){
    $s('P1_OBJ_NAME', pobjName);
    So it works. Thanks tfor your help.

  • Is there an example of populating a tabular form by selecting node in tree

    Hi, I am using apex 4.1. I have created a tree region, and would like to click on a child node and have it populate a tabular form. My tree attribute has the following query:
    select case when connect_by_isleaf = 1 then 0
    when level = 1 then 1
    else -1
    end as status,
    level,
    "NODE_LABEL" as title,
    null as icon,
    "SEQ_NBR" as value,
    null as tooltip,
    'f?p=&APP_ID.:900:'||:APP_SESSION||'::::P900_SELECTED_NODE:'||"SPECIES_QC_ID" as link
    from "#OWNER#"."SPECIES_TREE"
    where partner_id = :G_ISSUING_AGENCY and nvl("SPECIES_TREE"."DISPLAY_FLAG",'Y') <> 'N'
    start with "NODE_PARENT" is null
    connect by prior "SEQ_NBR" = "PID"
    order siblings by "NODE_PARENT"
    I am not certain how to set up the tabular form....are there any examples out there? thanks! Karen

    Thanks Tony,
    The application I have is a means of commercial seafood dealers recording what species they have purchased/landed. The page is designed with a tree listing all of the species and their sizes and then the tabular report of landings. The current application uses a collection to display the landings....I was trying to get rid of the collection and populate the table directly.
    thanks for getting back to me. Sounds like I will need to keep the collection....just looking for examples.

  • Building netui:tree from XML

              Hi,
              I am trying to build a Tree in Workshop 8.1 using netui:tree tag (for data in
              an XML file).
              The BEA docs say that we have to assign the TreeNode object to the 'tree' attribute
              in the netui:tree tag.
              What is the best way to translate the XML doc into a TreeNode object(s)?
              Thanks,

  • Value of currently selected tree node

    Hi there,
    I'm new to Apex(4.1.1) and i'm having a little problem.
    I got 2 Pages. The frist one consists of a treeregion and a submit button.
    The Second one is a Report.
    I want to create a workflow, that the user selects a treenode and presses submit. Then he'll be redirected to the reportspage,
    wich will show him a report depending on the treenode he selected on the first Page.
    Problem:
    I have no idea how i can read the value of the selected treenode.
    I hope you can help me.
    thanks,
    Frederic

    Hi Frederic,
    To obtain the value of the selected tree node, you can make use of the "Selected Page Node Item" attribute on the Tree Attributes page. Just create an item on your page, and set the "Selected Page Node Item" to that new page item. Then populate that item via the LINK parameter of your tree query. For an example, take a look at the following: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=36648:6 , where I'm setting my page item P6_SELECTED_NODE to the value of the node selected on the first tree i.e. empno. Your report query would need to reference the "Selected Page Node Item", to ensure that it displays information related to the selected tree node.
    I hope this helps.

    Hilary

    The model run with no problem
    What is the problem about this.

    Do I get you right that you have changes the pk of the EO successfully and you see the error when running the app with the changed EO?
    Have you checked if the change of the PK was distributed to the VO too?
    Sometimes it helps to remove the component bound to the VO in question from the page and put it back on again.

  • Apex 4 trees pre-expanded, possible

    Hi all,
    I recently upgraded to Apex 4. I used to be able to create an Apex tree that was pre-expanded, but now can only select a button to do so. Has that ability been lost in Apex 4? Any ideas for a way around it? I want a user to select a node which has a link to the same page that will update a hidden item that is a source for a report on the same page. The link works, but the tree collapses after clicking on the node. It dose not do this in earlier trees I created.
    Thanks for any help.

    In the tree, there is one column for value. On the tree attributes, there is a field for 'Selected Node Page Item' - if you specify a page item, it will save the state (I believe).

  • Converting XML doc to TreeNode object

    Hi,
    I am trying to build a Tree in Workshop 8.1 using netui:tree tag (for data in
    an XML file).
    The BEA docs say that we have to assign the TreeNode object to the 'tree' attribute
    in the netui:tree tag.
    What is the best way to translate the XML doc into a TreeNode object(s)?
    Thanks, Ajay

    HTML to PDF with Java, using OpenOffice.org - example here: [http://www.dancrintea.ro/html-to-pdf/|http://www.dancrintea.ro/html-to-pdf/]
    You can use OpenOffice.org, running as a server and command it remotely for document convertion.
    Besides HTML to PDF, there are also possible other convertions:
    doc --> pdf, html, txt, rtf
    xls --> pdf, html, csv
    ppt --> pdf, swf
    Code example:
    import officetools.OfficeFile; // this is my tools package
    FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream(new File("c:/test.html"));
    FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream(new File("c:/test.pdf"));
    // suppose OpenOffice.org runs on localhost, port 8100
    OfficeFile f = new OfficeFile(fis,"localhost","8100", true);
    f.convert(fos,"pdf");

  • TreeByNestingTableColumn - strange behaviour

    So, I've created a sample application that utilizes a TreeByNestingTableColumn.  I can open/close nodes within the tree structure, and all looks well, until I try to select a row after expanding at least one node.  When I select a node, the entire expanded tree structure collapses, and trying to re-expand the tree node leads to an IllegalArgumentException.
    What am I missing?
    I followed the sample tutorial for NW 7.01, as described [here|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/bc/601c420d84db2ce10000000a1550b0/content.htm]:

    Not a bug per-se: the recursive node had a child node that held the tree attributes (expanded, hasChildren, etc) that was marked with a cardinality of 0..1 instead of 1..1.

  • Change an attribute value in the last level of a tree

    Hi,
    I'm using jdev 11.1.1.0.1
    I have a tree composed of 5 VO. Each VO represent a level of the tree. I made an "executeWithParam" in my VO level 1 to pass some parameters.
    I would like to make a "setAttribute" on my VO level 5. I'm working with a tree, so i can't do : "getMyVo.getCurrentRow.setAttribute..."
    How can i do?
    ideas :
    - Today, i use bind variable to pass parameters from first level VO to last level VO : can i put the bind variable value in an attribute value?
    - Is there a method to override in the viewRowImpl.java to catch the "setAttributeInternal" made by ADF? so i could change the value of this attribute
    - Is there a method to override in the viewImpl.java which can help me?
    I try a lot of think without success... hope someone can help me
    Thanks in advance
    Clément

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for your help.
    My need is to initialize all the rows of my VO level 5. Not only the selected ones. But i keep your solution for later :)
    Today, that is what i'm doing :
    - First, i use "executeWithParam" to complete a bind parameter of the first VO.
        public void executeWithParamTreeNiv1() {
            VoLvl1ViewImpl view =
                (VoLvl1ViewImpl) getLvl1View ();
            VoSourceId rowSrc =
                (VoSourceIdRowImpl) getVoSourceIdView().getCurrentRow();
            if (rowSrc != null) {
                saisPrevTreeView.setFkId(rowSrc.getId());
        }- Then, i use the method "createViewLinkAccessorRS" of the viewImpl, to pass bindParmeters between VOs.
            protected ViewRowSetImpl createViewLinkAccessorRS(AssociationDefImpl assocDef, ViewObjectImpl accessorVO,
                                                          Row masterRow, Object[] values) {
            ViewRowSetImpl v = super.createViewLinkAccessorRS(assocDef, accessorVO, masterRow, values);
            Number fkId = (Number)((ViewRowImpl)masterRow).getViewObject().getNamedWhereClauseParam("FkId");
            accessorVO.setNamedWhereClauseParam("FkId", fkId );
            v.setNamedWhereClauseParam("FkId", fkId );- Finally, i use the method "isAttributeUpdateable" of my VO level 5, to get the bind parameter and make a setAttribute.
        @Override
        public boolean isAttributeUpdateable(int i) {
            Number fkId= (Number)this.getViewObject().getNamedWhereClauseParam("FkId");
            if (fkId!= null) {
                this.setFkId(fkId);
        }What do you think about this method?
    Thanks
    Clément
