Operting system : Solaris 9
Oracle application: 11.5.10
i would like to ask query related to buffer area of pinter on solaris server.
we are trying to print cheques using oracle application on network printer.
some times it is printing the cheques with out any problem but sometimes it throws and error message in concurrent request log file.

What is the status of those concurrent requests (Completed with Warning or with Error)?
1) Do we need to delete any temporary files from server related to printer.Usually, you do not need to delete any files manually, temp files will be created by the application, and there should no issues with the files permissions (unless you have some other instance running on the same node with different applmgr user). However, you can safely clean (.t and .tmp) files as per the following documents.
Note: 435437.1 - Most Common Solutions to FRM-41839 and .tmp Files Not Being Deleted
Note: 145487.1 - Files Types .t and .temp and .tmp, are Saving Under /var/tmp
Note: 162232.1 - Why Does Oracle Forms Create .TMP Files Which Fill Up The Filesystem e.g. /tmp ?
I would also suggest you search Metalink for APP-FND-00500 and you will get many hits, go through the documents and see if it helps.

skgtag: not-accepting APP-FND-00500: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from routine FDUPRN. Program exited with status 1.
This is my error. My same request output is printing to other printers. But it is not printing in particular printer.
My printer is shared is windows 2000 system and we have installed Unix files & printer sharing windows feature.

when I was doing the EPC check i have approached this messgae.
Return code (SY-SUBRC) for the EXCEPTION will not be processed after CALL FUNCTION
'CU_READ_RGDIR'
(You can turn off this check by setting all EXCEPTIONS to 0)
(The message can be hidden with "#EC *)
Any pointers on how to handle this.

Receiving return code of zero from tperrordetail()

Hello,
We have tuxedo services calling webservices via SALT - which have run successfully for years. We are looking into our logs recently and we are seeing intermitant errors which we are trying to analyze. The error text we receive is:
"TPESYSTEM - internal system error"
Upon examining the returned buffer, it is empty.
Trying to get more info, we have used tperrordetail() but this is giving a return code of zero.
What would be the next step we should take to narrow this down? Our OPS people are not seeing anything unusual on the network.

Capture error code returned by VB script from the OIM Remote Manager

I am trying to provision to Exchange using powershell and OIM remote Manager.
RM is installed in the Exchange server and a VB script is called by the RM to perform the necessary provisioning operations.
Certain error codes are configured in VB script according to the script execution.
How can I get the return codes back to the RM and then to OIM adpater, so that I can publish appropriate error messages by writing them in the Adapter responses.
Below is my current code, but it does not capture return codes.
Can the variable 'i' get the return codes fron the VB script?

The problem is that we don't get the error code and/or the error message from the Javascript in oIndsgnSrvRes. The error code is always 0 if I set an Integer value as return in the Javascript. If I set a String, there is an Exception in the Java application.

Return code when I close the report

I have a trigger after-report that updates the db.
The problem is this trigger starts up always, or when I print a document or when I close simply the report's window preview.
Is there a return code from Report then tells me how finishes the report ??
e.g - If I print the document returns 0
- If I only show the preview returns 1
It's logical that if there is a return-code I'll never use the trigger after-report and I will manage all from forms.

No, there's no such return code from Reports. In fact, there's no way from within the report to tell if the report has been printed (to do this you'd need a trigger on the print button, and that's not provided functionality).

Error Received When Trying To Create DSN From The Command Line

Your help is greatly appreciated in advance. I am having trouble packaging Oracle 10G for a batch file deployment. Everything is done except for getting the DSN created which is causing me major problems. We am working with the Oracle 10G R2 10.2.0.1.0 Client on Windows XP Professional SP2. The Oracle database resides on a Windows 2000 Professional Server SP4 running Oracle 9i.
Our Environment: I am creating two packages of the Oracle 10G client. The first is for a batch file distribution via LANDesk and the other package is for normal batch file install if someone from IT is installing this from a user's desk. Both scripts are really identical the only differences are how they are laid out. I only need help with the DSN creation as everything else is ready to go. I am going to focus on the Non-LANDesk batch file as once I fix this in one script the other one should also be fixed.
The Problem: The batch script copies the neccesary files to the temporary directory. I then extract the setup files to the temp folder. I run a custom Oracle install using the RSP file from a recorded install. After the install is complete I copy the TNS Names file to the proper location. I then try to call a CMD file with the ODBC command seen below the main script.

As soon as the command is called I see the following error message appear.

The really strange thing though is that if I let the main part of the script run (Not the ODBC call) and then immediately manually start the ODBC call script it works just fine. So, I don't really understand why the script can't add it itself. Or, I can go the Administrator Tools>Data Sources (ODBC)>and then add it manually which also works. I have tried just pasting the command directly in the main script, therefore, bypassing the call feature but it doesn't make a difference.

I thought it may be related to spaces in the path in which the script was called from. I tried having the ODBC command script in another directory but the same thing happens. It will give me the "CONFIGSYSDSN: Unable to create a data source for the 'Oracle in OraClient10g_home1' driver: Could not load the setup or translator library with error code -2147467259". As soon as the script is done running I can manually double click the script and it adds the DSN fine.

Hi, I need to return pdf page number of the linked file in InDesign.Here what I have so far, but my FilePath comes back undefined, and I am not sure if pageNmuber line would work:

Your first problem is:
var myBackFilePath = myArtBackName.filePath;
That should be:
var myBackFilePath = myArtBack.itemLink.filePath;
What you should have done is something like:
var myLink = myArtBack.itemLink;
var myPageNumber = myLink.parent.pdfAttributes.pageNumber;
Maybe you need the file path for some other purpose, but that's not the route to information about the PDF graphic (the parent of the link) which has the pdfAttributes property -- property names always start with a lowercase letter.

How can i do when I have two tax and one of them cant be excluded from the cost ? Let me show what i want.
I have one product that have two tax, like this: Product 001 - tax one IPI and Tax two ICMS. But the tax one cant be exclude from the cost. It will be that way:
In AP Invoice.
- Produto 001: 1000 (Total of product)
- IPI 5% : 50
- ICMS 18: 180
The cost should be 870 because the IPI can be excluded.
Ps. ICMS is in and IPI is out.

I´m from brazil and i think that the tax is complicated. Im going to try explaim for you.
First of all, Tax in and tax out for me is not used in AP or AR. I´m using this concept only for AP. It means here that: - When i say IN I want to say that this tax is in the price, it makes part of the price. When i say OUT I want to say that this tax in out of the price, it doesnt make part of the price. So, let me show yout how is appears in one invoice.

total value 1000
ICMS is IN 18% - 180
IPI is OUT 5% - 50
Until here is ok, what i want is that just only the IPI be cost and dont be subtract from that value (cost).
