Till the latest version 5.01 Mozilla Firefox was my standard browser.

iCloud.com requires Safari 6 or later, Firefox 22 or later, or Google Chrome 28 or later. Have you tried all of those?
If you have, have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies?
For the first tine since 1989 I'm thinking about buying a PC.
You'd have exactly the same problems on an 8 year old PC too. It's a bit unreasonable to expect such an old Mac to continue to be compatible as software is constantly updated.
Saying that, I'm still able to access iCloud.com successfully in Safari v5.0.6 on a PowerPC Mac running Mac OS X 10.5.8, so the problem you're having is likely to be a browser issue, not something inherently wrong with the computer.
Since all this crap started, Mail won't download my Mac.com or me.com email.
The iCloud.com website is totally unconnected to Mail's ability to download email via IMAP. Have you checked the mail server settings are correctly setup and up-to-date?

Several months ago I installed the Firefox Home app on my iPhone to sync the bookmarks that I had on my Windows XP home computer. It has worked just fine until a few days ago. I was having Bing as my browser. I have downloaded Mozilla Firefox as my web browser. But still Bing is my default web for searching the web. I want to uninstall it. How can I do it ?
You can open the <b>about:config</b> page via the location bar and do a search for <i>bing</i> via the Filter at the top of the about:config page.<br />
You can reset all <i>bing</i> related prefs that appear bold (user set) via the right-click context menu to their default values.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

My 10.8.3 update did not install properly citing an 'Unknown Error'. Now, my Mail and Mac App Store aren't working. What went wrong and how do i fix it ?
I tried this and still have the same problems. If I open Address book or the Mac App Store I get the library rebuild popup and a hang. I created a fresh user and then things are better apart from the printing issue. Its clearly some 3rd party software issue but the crash logs are meningless to me. I used the excellent Etre check app from http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck so I have a list of what is being loaded and can compare clean and crashed user info but as I cant work out which of the startup items, launch agents, launch daemons etc that are causing the problem.
I have eliminated Dropbox, Mac Keeper and Witness, and it isnt related to my exterrnal LED cinema dispay or my external thunderbolt drives, or any USB devices if thats any help to anyone else. Info from Etrecheck follows -

I uninstalled Mozilla Firefox so I could reinstall it since I was having problems printing from my online banking because I could only print it through Internet Explorer.
After uninstalling, I downloaded Mozilla Firefox 19.
When it came to "RUN" or "SAVE" my computer asked me for my Administrative password (which it has never done before and I've owned my laptop since 2007. I tried my password, but I was denied.
What did uninstalling Mozilla Firefox do to my computer??????????

I'm currently using Internet Explorer and it is SO slow. I went to this site and tried to download Mozilla Firefox. It begins to download and then is interrupted by a window that pops up and says the file is corrupted and it shuts down the entire download. This has happened about five times. Please help!
The Mozilla site. It's the correct site, I'm sure of it. I'm becoming EXTREMELY irritated with Internet Explorer and haven't even been able to really use the internet on my own laptop because of how many problems I have with IE. I've tried NUMEROUS times a day to download Mozilla Firefox and the SAME thing keeps happening. Thanks for the quick response. No, I did not get any error messages or any terms-of-usage screen. The employee I told my problem to was not computer savvy either. She just suggested I move to different spots w/in the library to see if that would make a difference. It didn't. When I connected to the library WiFi it did change the Verizon 3G that is usually in the upper left corner to iPad with two to three emanating arcs. I may have to go to the library in the next town. I was able to connect to theirs in the past when I had to download something greater than 20 MB. Unless I really want it, I will probably not even try to download something more than 20 MB due to the hassle. Yeah, I may have been better off getting a normal desktop or laptop and getting WiFi at home. To do that now would mean having my iPad 2 and a desktop computer, which I feel is extravagant. (I know there are a lot of big spenders out there who got the iPad as additional gadget for fun. This is a rich country.) A Verizon rep told me I couldn't set up a WiFi router at home just using an iPad. So it seems like a person who just uses 3G is limited to surfing the net (not even much YouTube because it eats a lot of data) and using email. I read about an app that helps print wirelessly using 3G, but a reviewer said you had to be an engineer to get it done right. BTW, I like the Steelers. I'm old enough to remember Franco Harris and that blond guy whose name escapes me back in the '70s. Since I live in North Jersey I feel I have to support the Giants. But I know football about as well as computers.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?
