After installing itunes,clicking on icon only stats instalation once more
hi,
please help,im a newbie to itunes,so after downloading and installing i tunes i was given the usual options of putting icons in quick launch and desktop then launching itunes now,wich i did and it started straightaway.but now when i try to launch itunes i get a message saying "please wait while windows configures itunes" wich takes ages,
surely this not normal,any ideas please.

I did not read the rather long post. If you wish to reinstall OS X 10.4, use your software install DVD. Backup is essential. To minimize your risk, I would use an archive and install:

In that way, you will have a fresh copy of OS X and your current settings will be preserved.
Incidentally, I do not agree that the printer problem is best solved by reinstalling OS X. I have had HP printers for sometime and, on one occasion, had difficulty after an upgrade. HP technical support walked me through uninstalling all traces of the HP driver and then reinstalling.

I've had to reset my laptop to factory settings a few times recently and now I realise that i have auth'd my iphone to my laptop 4 times now (i can only do this once more). Is there anyway of de-authing my laptop without being having access to itunes on my laptop to do this?
Without access, you're gonna have to wait until you reach the 5 authorized computer limit, then you can de-authorize all.

I can't access Safari any longer. Each time I click on the icon, it states that "the address is not valid".
I've even deleted the Safari and downloaded it again, but the same message persists. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?address bar wasn't accessible, so I did the Toolbar drag back. The invalid address is set as home page in Safari - Preferences - General.
Tried opening safari again holding the shift key, but made no difference Andy.
Can I just type in a new address in "home page in Safari - Preferences - General"? -
Problems with clicking messaging icon
Hello there,
I got my N97 3 days ago from vodafone and i cant access to messaging to see my inbox, sent messages....etc as when i click the icon only the scroll bar appears from the side and nothing happens. then when i touch the middle of the screen some options appear on top of the main menu screen and then i can access my messages...etc. this does not happen when i restart the phone and go to messaging straigh away but after some time its same again. can please some help me regarding this issue.i also tried removing some applications..cheers. (ive got around 30mb empty in my C drive and 29GB left in my mass memory)maybe you can klik "browse" on reply to add images?

Safari won't open when I click the icon on my desktop. It just comes up with an error and says that it "quit unexpectantly." It does however open when I turn on my macbook in safe mode (which is what I'm doing now). My mac os is version 10.6.8. It's completely updated and worked perfectly before I updated it earlier today. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong? I've restarted my computer a few times and it hasn't done anything. After I restart my computer in the normal mode once more I'll post the error that I keep getting.

We cannot open iTunes after installing it. When we click on the icon the licensing agreement comes up and we click Agree but then nothing happens. Each time we click the icon the agreement comes up. We've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but we have the exact same problem.

When I click on my icon to open iTunes a box appears that states: The file "iTunesLibrary.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes. Help!
Unless you've recently attempted to downgrade iTunes this is probably a sign of a corrupt library file. See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

after installing the update for iTunes, it doesn't run (comp makes noises but nothing comes up on screen). when i open task manager itunes is running as a process, but i can't end process.
hmmm. okay, Norton is still our prime suspect here. that "running itunes.exe process that will not die" symptom is associated with the nastier versions of the NIS 2005 launch suppression problems. (people who get that also often see things like looooooong sloooooow shutdown times on the PCs and odd end program dialog boxes.)
let's try throwing the trusty Lorraine M technique at the beast. (it usually fixes the nastier versions of the NIS 2005 problems.)

I also have an iPhone 4 with the newly downloaded iOS 5. I have not been able to get the camera icon on the locked screen to appear at all. I'd love to know how to fix it since this is one of the new features that I'd really like to use.

When I connect my iphone and open itunes the iphone icon shows up but when I click it nothing happens and the icon disappears. I have uninstalled and re-installed itunes. Turned my computer off, and turned my iphone off. Restarted everything. Synced my iphone and my itunes and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? I am using Windows

I just updated my iphone to ios7 and I keep getting stuck at the 'Set up your iPhone' screen. I click 'Restore from Itunes Backup', but it only ends up restarting after restoring and fails to get past the 'Set up your iPhone' screen. Any ideas?
Normally, I would suggest restoring the iPad and uninstall and reinstall iTunes but you have done both of those things - more times than you ever imagined!
Have you thought about turning auto syncing off?
Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
If you do this you can backup the iPad right away before it syncs. You may want to go into all of the iTunes tabs and just make sure that all of the current content on the iPad is selected to sync before you actually do sync.
This doesn't solve the problem, but it would prevent the automatic sync and erasing content. Hopefully, in the next few days- when iOS 5 is released - you will also be relieved of this weird iPad behavior - since the iOS devices are supposed to become PC free.
BTW - and this is no excuse for what you are experiencing, but I have found that some of the game apps that I had on my iPad turned out to be quite troublesome and after I removed them, my problems went away. I know that is almost sacrilege with regard to the Angry Birds addiction .... But I'm just saying ... -
After installing the latest iTunes upgrade I could not access my iTunes so I uninstalled it and all of it's components like instructed in support but when I try to reinstall and click on download now, it goes right to thank you for downloading iTunes but nothing downloaded.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?
