After transferring about 7 pics to a desktop folder, the last pic kept duplicating even when I highlighted another pic. I can't delete or move any pics from folder. I can not drag a new pic into folder.
Can not drag a pic from aperture onto desktop folder. was able to drag 7 but number 8 was a duplicate of 7. Can not delete any pics from desktop folder

If you want to get rid of your original photo files and leave them in iPhoto, thus freeing up much hard drive space, you can use these commands in Terminal:
mkdir ~/.Trash/iPhoto-Originals
cd ~/"Pictures/iPhoto Library/Modified/"
find . -type f -exec mv "../Originals/{}" ~/.Trash/iPhoto-Originals/ \;
Type these commands carefully and it should work!

is there anyway to stop iPhoto 9.6 creating a new unnamed album within a named album when I drag a new photo into the named album. for example: There is a album called Fred. I have a new photo of Fred imported into the Last import Folder. I wanted to drag it into the album called Fred but iPhoto creates a new unnamed album within Fred.

Many thanks Jaz EillesSounds like you have a folder with an album named fred inside of it. Folders can only hold other folders, albums, slideshows, etc. but not just photos. So you must be sure to drop the photo directly onto the album titled fred that resides inside that folder otherwise it will create a new album.
So expand the folder so the fred album is visible and drop the new photo onto the album. -
I am not able to delete, or move, ANY bookmark or folder.
I am able to navigate to any bookmark in the "bookmarks" drop-down menu. However, I cannot delete, or move, ANY bookmark or folder. When I open "organize bookmarks" ALL of the areas are blank; there are no bookmarks or folders listed.
I guess your external drive is Windows (NTFS) formattet.
By default you were only able to read from that drive, as Mac doesent support NTFS write.
If you want to have read/write access to a NTFS volume you have to use add-in tools like MacFuse or Paragon on your Mac.
Not having write or delete permissions on the external drive may also preventyou from changing existing files on that drive.
Right click on the drive in Finder and choose "Information" from the menu will give you more information about the reasons of your problem.

How can get 40,000 pix from old computer restored by Carbonite to new computer into PE 11 or 12?
I bought a new, faster, more storage Windows 8 computer.
I had 40,000 pix on old computer tagged with names, event, location, date with PE 11. Also several projects involving hundreds of pix.
Carbonite restored all files (250 gig) from old computer to new, and their tech support says they all are on the new computer.
I bought the new PE 12 and installed it on new computer. It has only found 4,000 pix. I don't at all like PE 12 after enjoying PE2-11 and managing all my pix with it. PE11 was clearer in the pix presentation.
Apparently when imported to the new computer, I lost the tags that went to events, location, and the person tags did not separate family from friends etc. I can't even find my projects.
I was so frustrated with PE12, that I installed PE11, but everytime I try to open the Organizer, it doesn't open.
Help. I am so frustrated. I am pretty sure before I made the transition that I had written all tags to files. When I put PE11 on the new computer, why won't it give me what I had on the old.
This is probably my 10th generation computer change, and I never had such problems before with PE.I am using 10 and 11 instead of 11 and 12. I tried to go back and edit,
but couldn't figure out how. Sorry, typing errorC.

I need to delete a calendar event that transfered to my 4S from my Droid phone. This event occurs yearly. When I open this event, the edit button that normally appears in the upper right corner does not exist so I can't delete it. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?
uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. I just upgraded to iTunes 12 and had all sorts of problems. After several restores I seem to be able to sync my iPad with iTunes BUT I can't delete anything off my iPad from iTunes. Any ideas on what to do?

It sounds like your available free space is not reporting properly. I would start by quitting the Settings app:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

Restoring the iPhone will reload its firmware.
Plug the iPhone into (the current version of) iTunes on your computer.
Let it sync. Then choose "Restore" from the iPhone's summary page in iTunes. -

Get info then check permissions then add your curent user name (it was probably different on old Mac) and give your username full read/write permissions.
