After updating Firefox, it wants to start in safe mode, when you click reset & restart it starts and runs fine, how do I make it stop opening in safe mode?
I recently updated my Firefox to 3.5.9 for Google pack, after doing so Firefox would only open in safe mode. So I started in safe mode that one time. Everafter, when starting firefox it always opens a dialog window about safe mode, I click the option to reset the toolbars and restart, and it starts normally. I'd like to make it stop opening with this dialog, and just open normally without asking about safe mode.

everything works well but FF asks me to update after a few hours everyday, as if i had not done it already. this has never happened before.
Do the following please.
Go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0.1] and download a fresh installation file to the desktop. If necessary, download the file with IE8 and choose to save it to your desktop when you see the prompt.
Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (''don't checkmark the box'').
Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier.
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation. -
If I click on something to open in a new tab or click on someone's email to open Outlook, instead of doing that, a bunch of blank tabs open. I'm fine with a couple blank tabs, but they keep opening. The only way to stop the tabs from opening is to close out of firefox entirely. When I try to reopen firefox, blank tabs again begin to reopen. You can't close out of them fast enough because they keep opening. To stop opening the blank tabs, you must restart firefox a second time.
Is this a virus or something wrong with my firefox settings??Firefox includes options of how to handle different content types, in your case the mailto links are probably set to "Use Firefox". After updating Firefox I start getting calls from 253-802-0308 (International Telcom in Auburn Washington, found using 411.com). The report that they are getting messages that my Windows PC is reporting the downloading of malicious files. I don't think that there is a connection with Mozilla but it only started after I ran the last 2 or 3 updates to Firefox. Searches on Google and other search engines don't show logical connections to the phone calls and the problem being reported to me. None of my anti-virus programs, Ccleaner, DEFENDER & AVG pickup and malicious files. I'm curious about who they may be because when I question them during the calls they end up hanging up on me. Just wondering if similar problems are being reported.
That is a reported scammer set-up. Read some of the following from actual phone customers. It is not related to your Firefox updates. I have gotten a few of these types of calls on my '''''unlisted '''''home phone number over the past several years. They use a dialer, usually automatic and sequential number dialing. Get a loud whistle to blow into the phone mouth piece or one of those loud air horns from the hardware/sporting good store; this kind of trash deserves broken ear drums.

How do I get audio back on YouTube after updating Firefox and Flash?

You cannot uninstall the update. Apple does not support downgrading. What troubleshooting have you done? Start with a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. Are you syncing contacts with iCloud?

I'm using Firefox on Windows XP professional x64 SP2.
I also use a program called "Proxifier" which directs all traffic from my computer to the Internet and vice versa through a proxy server and does the name resolution through proxy DNS not system DNS. Before updating my Firefox to v. 16.0.1, everything was working fine: Firefox connections were made through "Proxifier" and all the connections made by Firefox were shown in Proxifier's window.
But after updating Firefox, traffic from Firefox does not pass through Proxifier and in other words Firefox opens websites if I disable Proxifier. THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH Internet Explorer which works fine and its traffic is directed through Proxifier as usual.
I did an extensive search through Google for a solution, and most relevant results suggest that it may have something to do with messed up LSP_CATEGORIES:

Also tried installing previous versions of Firefox such as v. 13 or 3.6.28 but the problem exists with these versions as well.

Can anyone suggest a solution?

After updating Firefox to 5.0.1 the add-ons Manager did not show any of my add-ons, although they were all running. Several restarts of Firefox, even with the add-ons disabled did not bring them back. I then installed another add-on and after restarting, all of the previous add-ons are now shown in the manager.
Running on Mac 10.5.8. Add-ons installed:
Adblock Plus, Add-on Compatibility reporter, Ant Video Downloader, Forecastfox, Google toolbar, Reload Every, Session Manager, and Steep and Cheap Watcher.
Note: the troubleshooting information was taken after the problem was fixed. Prior to fixing the issue, there were no items under the Extensions heading. FWIW, renaming or deleting extensions.sqlite and the other files beginning with "extensions." causes the files to be rebuilt from the extensions directory, so nothing is lost, but they will be restored in alphabetical order.
I've solved places.sqlite problems by simply restoring a bookmarks backup, or creating a bookmarks backup and restoring that rather than face loss of history.

I updated Firefox and started to use it again, after having problems with it freezing and crashing. I had used it for years, but suddenly it was not working well and I went to Safari. When they indicated an update to Firefox, I updated it and started to again use it, as I always liked the way it worked and most of my Bookmarks were still good. I found that Dashlane did not work with it and I have been told you are aware of this and working on the problem. Please notify me when it is solved, as I want to continue to use Firefox but have to switch back to another browser to get to my bank or stock brokers site. For the record, I use a MacBook with OS 10.6.8.

In addition to my last post, here is the solution for fixing this problem without syncing your contacts with icloud.
It takes about 2 minutes and permanently solves the problem so you can start adding and editing your contacts again on IOS 5.1.1!
Basically you just need to follow these steps from the Settings page:
Enable Airplane Mode
Go to iCloud settings
Turn on Contacts
Agree to 'Merge Contact'
Wait for pop up to confim iCloud contacts are on
Turn off Contacts
Confirm that you want to Keep your Contact on the iPhone
Wait for pop up to confim iCloud contacts are off
Disable Airplane Mode
Airplane Mode temporarily blocks all phone signal/data to stop your contacts merging with icloud.

after downloading iphone pictures to desktop, itunes won't open. I downloaded itunes 10.6 (64bit) but get "Do you want the following program to make changes to your computer?" Apple Inc. I've clicked "yes", restarted the computer, and still no luck.
I also have the same problem, but the Software Updates tool doesn't recognise that Quicktime is out of date. Have you tried downloading Quicktime 7.7 Leopard from http://support.apple.com/downloads/#quicktime as this worked for me...?
