AIA COM 2.0.1 Vs AIA COM 2.4

Hi All,
What are the functionalities that are added in the AIA COM 2.4 PIP which were not present in AIA COM 2.0.1 PIP?
What are the new features we are using in the AIA COM 2.4 PIP?
Is AIA COM 2.0.1 upgradable to 2.4?
Thanks,
Shanty

Hi Shanty,
These questions are answered in 2.4 release notes. You can find the AIA Documentation library here.

  • AIA PIP 11.1 - COM to SOM integration

We need to integrate OSM-COM & OSM-SOM using AIA PIP 11.1
    So we have doenloaded:
Oracle Application Integration Architecture Pre-built Integrations 11.1 Release (part # V28086-01)
During the development therewill be no CRM in our environment.
Since there is no PIP exists only for OSM-COM & OSM-SOM, so we decided to use:
Siebel CRM Integration Pack for Oracle Order Management
However as I mentioned that we do not have CRM in our development environment
    So My question is:
1> Did we choose the right PIP?
2> How to install the PIP without CRM details OR if it is possible to give some Dummy Data (which doesn't exist) for CRM during PIP install.

  • AIA for COMS PIPs

    Hi All,
From Oracle product evaluation perspectives, I would like to know the PIPs(Process integration packages) available in Oracle AIA specifically for COMMS.
Does the Oracle communications(OSS/BSS) software’s like ASAP, OSM etc are integrated with the AIA framework?
Secondly are the PIPs available for Telecom process which cater to Areas like OSS/BSS.

YES it is integrated with AIA.
Secondly are the PIPs available for Telecom process which cater to Areas like OSS/BSS.
I recommend you download the information from https://edelivery.oracle.com in the Package: Oracle comunications Applications there is the information about all the aplications included OSM in versions like 7.0 7.1 7.2 and the much information about how to install and how to use.

  • Question about Kurts comments discussing the seperation of AIA & CDP - Test Lab Guide: Deploying an AD CS Two-Tier PKI Hierarchy - Kurt L Hudson MSFT

Question about the sentence in bold. What is the meaning behind this comment?
How would you separate the role of the AIA and CDP from a CA subordinate server? I can see where I add a CES and CEP server which has those as well, but I don't completely understand his comment. Because in this second step, (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/tlg-key-based-renewal.aspx)
he shows how to implement CES and CEP.
This is from the guide located at: http://technet.microsoft.com/library/hh831348.aspx
Step 3: Configure APP1 to distribute certificates and CRLs
In the extensions of the root CA, it was stated that the CRL from the root CA would be available via http://www.contoso.com/pki. Currently, there is not a PKI virtual directory on APP1, so one must be created.
In a production environment, you would typically separate the issuing CA role from the role of hosting the AIA and CDP.
However, this lab combines both in order to reduce the number of resources needed to complete the lab.
    Thanks,
    James

My concern is, they have a 2-3k base of xp systems, over this year they are migrating them to Windows 7. During this time they will also be upgrading hardware for the existing windows 7 machines. The turnover of certificates are going to be high, which
from what I've read here, it worries me.
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/askds/archive/2009/06/24/implementing-an-ocsp-responder-part-i-introducing-ocsp.aspx
The application then can go to those locations to download the CRL. There are, however, some potential issues with this scenario. CRLs over time can get rather large
depending on the number of certificates issued and revoked. If CRLs grow to a large size, and many clients have to download CRLs, this can have a negative impact on network performance. More importantly, by
default Windows clients will timeout after 15 seconds while trying to download a CRL. Additionally,
CRLs have information about every currently valid certificate that has been revoked, which is an excessive amount of data given the fact that an application may only need the revocation status for a few certificates. So,
aside from downloading the CRL, the application or the OS has to parse the CRL and find a match for the serial number of the certificate that has been revoked.
With the above limitations, which mostly revolve around scalability, it is clear that there are some drawbacks to using CRLs. Hence, the introduction of Online Certificate
Status Protocol (OCSP). OCSP reduces the overhead associated with CRLs. There are server/client components to OCSP: The OCSP responder, which is the server component, and the OCSP Client. The OCSP Responder accepts status
requests from OCSP Clients. When the OCSP Responder receives the request from the client it then needs to determine the status of the certificate using the serial number presented by the client. First the OCSP Responder determines if it has any cached responses
for the same request. If it does, it can then send that response to the client. If there is no cached response, the OCSP Responder then checks to see if it has the CRL issued by the CA cached locally on the OCSP. If it does, it can check the revocation status
locally, and send a response to the client stating whether the certificate is valid or revoked. The response is signed by the OCSP Signing Certificate that is selected during installation. If the OCSP does not have the CRL cached locally, the OCSP Responder
can retrieve the CRL from the CDP locations listed in the certificate. The OCSP Responder then can parse the CRL to determine the revocation status, and send the appropriate response to the client.

    Here are some alternatives:
1.Consider creating an application server connection and select deploy to your new application server connection, not to sar.
    2.Consult for example: SCAC-50012
    3. Recompile with -Xlint:unchecked for details
4.Although they seem harmless, get rid of the warnings
    5. Consider posting to another forum such as SOA Suite

First we are taking these messages from BPEL_Q_TAB (business event) by Apps adapter then sending to JMS Queue. So, throttling also not working as this is apps adapter.
I tried "minimumDelayBetweenMessages">1000</property> in the apps adapter while consume the message from Business Event Q (BPEL_Q_TAB).
But it didn’t work, there was no delay happened while picking the messages.
Please let me know if there is any fix for this issue, otherwise pls let me know is there any way to throttle the apps adapter.

    Hi Lonneke
    Thanks for responding....
You are correct in seeing that the two services are different in name.
However they are identical in function.
I created the service POSyncComp in my earlier version of JDev and deployed it to my local OC4J.
Which is launched by a PeopleSoft call using PeopleCode.
I have now rewritten this service in my new JDev and called it POSyncCompInt and deployed to home in an SOA suite implementation.
So whilst I test and before I roll the original service call out, I have both.
I have duplicated the PeopleCode and tweaked the message call, so that for testing purposes, and before I drop the current working version I have both calls in my PeopleCode event.
The original POSyncComp call still works, but the call to the 'new replacement' does not.
Hence the log shows both calls.... with slightly different names.
The strange thing is that the PeopleSoft LOG shows very similar code in the Request Message, but the response from the new call shows the HTML Form that I get if I run the second BPEL process from the SOA BPEL console.
So it looks like it is addressing the URL correctly.... but it suggests that stand alone OC4J returns a different response to the SOA suite which I am using for the new version of the BPEL process.... Is this configuration ?
It hints at the xsd file and the complex message type at entry to the BPEL process.
I can run the new process from the SOA suite BPEL Console with no problems.
I hope that clarifies your question about two different service names

*2) the JNDI location setting in the WebLogic JCA deployment descriptor has not been set to eis/Jms/AIA_ERROR_JMS. In the last case you might have to add a new 'connector-factory' entry (connection) to the deployment descriptor.*

    I got latest aia.jar from server(SOA11.1.1.2, weblogic 10.3.2, AIA11gR1) and added aia.jar @ JDeveloper 11.1.1.2--> Tools--> Preferences--> SOA
    I also added it in jdeveloper/lib, jdeveloper/jdev/lib

You have to include the aia.jar file. I had same issue .. I had aia.jar included in the project but the file was not ther ein the path . so i updated the correct path .. it worked

  • Problem with Business Process Publisher and AIA

After installing AIA 11.1.1.5, I installed the Business Process Publisher following the instructions in the AIA Installation Guide at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/aia.htm, sec. 8.3: "Manually uploading reference process models to business process publisher".
Since I could not find the Publisher installation files in the AIAFP install I downloaded from OTN, I used the Publisher installation files from the BPA OTN download (files Oracle_BPA_Suite_11.1.1.4_OTN_1of2.zip and Oracle_BPA_Suite_11.1.1.4_OTN_2of2.zip - I did not install BPA before installing Publisher).
Now when I launch Publisher the login page says "Currently, no exports are available. You can only log in to the administration area at this time". If I login, the new page does not show any AIA contents, only the message "There are currently no profiles available". (I am not sure which “exports” and “profiles” it is talking about).
Evidently something is missing, but I cannot figure out what.
    Thank you,
    Ugo

When you installed the platform, did you install the whole thing, or just part

this problem is due to hard-coded user/pwd in installation scripts. Here are steps
    1) open file AIA_HOME/Infrastructure/install/wlscripts/FPWLCommonConfig.xml
    2) reach to target CreateStartupClasses
    3) there are three java tasks for com.oracle.oems.weblogic.AQJMSPasswordUtility
    4) in the task for oraesb, password is hardcoded as 'oraesb' in clear text.
    5) this should be password of 'ORAESB' database user.
    6) change this password value; and restart the installation.

Second, are there any third party tools available
    I don't know
or any future plans on Apples side to extend iWork itself or Mac OS X Server to support locking and versioning in iWork documents for true collaboration?
Nobody is allowed to write about Apple projects before the official announcement.
So, if someone is aware of them, he will not respond here !
    On my idisk:
    <http://idisk.me.com/koenigyvan-Public?view=web>
is a script designed to offer a workaround but I never got complete feedback so I don't know if it behaves correctly (I don't use networks).
    You may download:
    foriWork:iWork_sharing:iWorksharing.zip
expand it, read the given instructions
apply them on a copy of a document to check its behaviour.

  • AIA support for multiple brands implemented in multiple instances of Siebel

    Good Day!
I would like to ask whether AIA has the capability to support multiple brands in terms of multiple instances of Siebel and BRM.
I have a client wherein they have a scenario of:
1.) To launch 4 different brands which contain multiple services and it has been decided that anything that holds customer specific data should be all in a separate instance (which would cover SIEBEL, BRM etc.)
2.) It is also a plan to have systems which only contain transactional data (mainly transient information) to have a central deployment platform (This would typically include OSM and AIA)
I've heard that this is possible with AIA but with heavy customization is required to be done. In case for customization, are there any white paper / documentation which talks about this?
So to summarize, here are the key questions:
-- Support of AIA to integrate multiple instances of Siebel, multiple instances of OBRM and single instance of OSM
-- Does AIA PIPS (mainly O2C, AABC) support data models (account, subscription, etc.,) of different services like 2G, 3G, LTE and Enterprise
-- Does AIA support more than 2 level hierarchies
-- Does AIA support charge redirection within the hierarchy
-- Does AIA PIPS support different MACD scenarios like suspend, resume, account movement within & across hierarchies especially for Enterprise Services?
    Regards,
    Jeff

First off - Have no knowledge of ERPi - Just googled it.
If its any help, we have multiple instances of EBS on the same box, we have seperate DWH (and ODI Work / Master Repos) environments aligned to these instances. An ODI Agent can only communicate with one ODI Work repository, hence we have Multiple Agents so we can use the EBIZ -> DWH pairs simultaneasouly.
Maybe someone will come along and tell us how it could work differently, until then - its works for us!

    Deploy Application Post-Install

    Hi Kanakavally,
I saw the logs and I can see you have several failed attempts. Initially it had to do with AIALifecycle user already present and now it has to do with changes not getting activated.
I suggest you do another attempt at installation after complete cleanup.
Here is what you can do.
    1. Click finish and exit out of the current Installer window (if you already have it open)
    2. Now launch the deinstaller as per the Installation Guide.
    3. Choose the AIA Home and uninstall (the uninstall bar may not be showing the progress but wait for some time and the uninstall will happen. We are fixing the progress bar issue)
    4. Once this is done, navigate to weblogic console and click deployments in the left nav.
    5. Select all AIA related deployments (if they exist - ideally this will get removed during uninstallation) and click delete
    6. Repeat the process for Datasources, JMS modules and JMS resources (again these dont exist ideally after uninstallation)
    7. Also navigate to security realms, select your realm (myrealm) and then click on the users and groups tab and remove AIA users and AIA groups
    8. Now shutdown the SOA managed server and then shutdown the Admin server as well
    9. Start the admin server
    10. Open the console, see if you have any changes to activate in the Activation. If there is any activate them. If it doesnt get activated undo all changes.
    11. Open the folder Middleware/domains/<your_domain> In this folder remove the file edit.lok.
    12. Also under the folder Middleware/domains/<your_domain>/pending , remove all files.
    14. Once you have done this restart the SOA Server.
    15. Attempt a fresh installation. Ensure that you read all the pre-install steps and instructions in the Install guide carefully before attempting the installation.
